Chapter 12 Omnipresent

Harvey was wondering what was happening to him? No woman before turned him on as quicked as her, even Scotty. But just to see her bare skin, nature kicked in. And this was very strange because although she was hot, she was not his style, He liked women that seem to be taken from a beauty contest he had dated more than a couple of contestants. He was utterly confused.

So, he returned to Sebastian's place worked for a couple of hours on his paper, and then he decided to go for a walk because although he had done some of the work done after getting to focus on the books taking aside Donnas presence, he was getting angrier at professor Gerard and Scotty just to see the amount of work he had to do and the injustice of the situation.

He had a couple of hours before he had to meet with his father to help him prepare the instruments at the bar, the night before the band had worked in some other place so the stage was not set for this night's presentation.

He decided not to return to the coffee shop with a lame excuse to see Donna that would be very evident and he was too cool for that after all how many times she had to reject him in a day? He thought.

As Harvey walked, he spotted a music store where a couple of LP boxes were at the side of the road so he started to look through them in order to see something interesting just to lose the time he had on his hands. 5 minutes later he wasn't so impressed with the collection so he asked the teenage clerk with a Ska look if they had some jazz music available, he was planning to buy a classic for his father, the young boy pointed out the back of the store and showed him the jazz section, after browsing the section for around 10 minutes he had a couple of options on mind but he was not sure, so he kept glancing the CD's at the store, he got to the headphones hanging in a pillar next to a cd player that was displaying the latest top hits of Billboard he read the list and he wasn't going to listen the Macarena but it caught his eye the Tracy Chapman New beginning album, so he picked the option and begun to listen to it, he liked it.

As he was reading the back of the CD the names of the songs Harvey was totally concentrated on the music. When he listens to a familiar voice

"Hey, Peter, did you get my CD all ready?" Donna greeted the boy.

This town sure as hell was pretty small or he was, in fact, having a lucky day Harvey's eyes lit up, this was too much of a coincidence, he didn't want to be perceived as a stalker so he stayed cool and pretended he was listening to the CD but in fact, he lowered the volume of the music to listen to Donnas conversation.

"Hey, Roby! Unfortunately, the record label hasn't sent us anything yet" answered the boy.

"Hum, that's a bummer, I really want that CD, I can take off my mind to the song that is playing on the radio and after all, Blind Melon has become my favorite band. I already have their previous album", Said Dona, disappointed.

"Don't worry I think that next week we are going to get the next delivery" Said the boy while he was admiring Donna he had a crush on her but he knew that was totally out of his league.

"Yea still is a bummer though, so what is new? What do you recommend?" Donna asked

"Have you checked the Oasis Album? You can listen to it on the CD player next to the pillar", Said the boy pointing in Harveys direction

Donna turned around only to see Harvey trying to be cool and pretending to read the CD case he was holding, then he dared to look at her straight in her eyes. At that very moment, the air got full of electricity as Donna became aware that Harvey was there.

"Never mind! I can come another time, I don't have much time, I got to go", Donna said almost running from the shop, almost knocking down a cardboard poster displayed in the front of the store Harvey chuckled, now he had a name to match her face Roby he thought it was cute and it suited her.

She was not risking staying there, she couldn't believe her luck, this was an unfortunate coincidence, this man has started to affect her. And was beginning to be evident that there was a vibe between them.

An hour later when Donna arrived at the Black Pearl, she accessed by the backdoor she wanted to greet the manager but he wasn't in his office instead she found Walker the main barman her direct boss. He was searching in some boxes for something.

"Hi, Roby! Do you remember where the screwdriver is? O I think is here somewhere"

Actually, in here, Donna took the tool from the top of a filing drawer and showed it to him.

"Perfect! He said", be a nice girl and give it to the guys in the band they are having an issue with a speaker. And show them where the good light socket where they should connect the speaker.

"Ok but I have to start the inventory or I won't finish on time"

"I´ll help you if necessary", said, Walker

At the back of the stage Sam, Gordon, Nicholas, and Harvey were trying to make work all the connections.

"So, tell me Regi, did you finish your paper? Or are you just jerking around in Harvard" said, Sam

"No, I haven't finished yet I am only started, the stupid professor has me doing a stupid endless paper", Harvey said with a frustrated voice, he was working in the speaker backstage, meane while the guys were checking the instruments in the front.

"So that means that you are going to drop out and join the band", said Nicholas

"Incredibly enough he has passing grades, this is only one class and he can always take it again" Gordon chuckled

"Good for you Regi", said Nicholas, mocking Harvey since he arrived. The guys on the band had been harassing Harvey with his name and the fact that he was not in school.

Donna approached the front of the stage and offered the screwdriver to Nicholas who was tuning a guitar assuming he was the one that needed it.

"Hey guys, how are you today? Almost ready for tonight's gig?", Donna greeted

"No, Honey we are having technical issues, and this is not for me is for de douche backstage", said Nicholas, Donna didn't understand why he was referring to Sebastian like that, as far as she knew they all respected him very much and she ever had listened them call him a douche

Harvey was trying to understand how to connect correctly the instruments, sitting in a squat position meane while he was looking at the cables on the floor when he noticed again a familiar voice as soon as he saw her enter the backstage, he knew that they had a connection.

"you are everywhere, are you stalking me?" Said Harvey smiling as soon as he saw Donna appear

He didn't know that this was one of the many jobs Donna had. But he was definitely happy to see her, she had changed from the halter braless top to a polo one with the logo of the bar but definitely, he could tell she was almost every ware and that disturbed him a bit. Why is she doing this to him? Shamelessly teasing him without knowing?

Donna was flustered as soon as he saw him, she couldn't believe this, is this faith? The universe was pranking her? Did God send her a challenge? If that was so, she was not going to resist for long, he was everywhere and the electricity was there, she had known that Harvey knew the guys of the band but she didn't know he was going to be helping them, although, she secretly wished to see him again. There was something in him that had to be explored,

"what? Stalking you, if someone is stalking someone is you to me, in less than 24 hours you have shown in 3 of my jobs" said Donna with an accusing voice,

Harvey lift himself up and stand very close to her, his heart was beating way too fast as he took the screwdriver that Donna had in her hands, then he leaned in and said to her ear and whisper with a hoarse voice

"admit it you are into me", Said Harvey with a smug face

Donna's heart skipped a heartbeat.

A/N 2 So, what do you think? I have one more chapter done but I have to keep writing I do have a destination and things that I want to happen but I really can use your input, so what do you think that I should add to the storyline?
