Thank you.
Lemy and Lina watched as Samantha ate her banana Split… well, Lina watched, Lemy tried not to look too much at her because of how red his eyes were, obviously due to smoking weed (not because he cried on Lina's shoulder dude, it never happened) and the other reason was… watching her eat a banana Split with whipped cream on top was… hard, just like my…
"Are you enjoying your Ice cream, mom?" Lina asked with a voice as sweet as the chocolate over her ice cream.
Samantha was really happy; she was now the proud owner of one of the few remaining posters signed by Slash. There was a lot of them when he was alive, but with all that shit about the psychopath who killed Guns N' Roses fans and stole their collections, and when the police was about to get him he burned his house along with all the stuff and himself… What can I say? Lad was crazy as fuck, but you're talking with the son of a guy who had ten daughters with his sisters, so…
However, Samantha was happy with the poster, and the banana split made her even happier, so I guess it's a good moment to drop the bomb. You know what I'm talking about.
"Yup, it's my favorite." Samantha replied while licking the tip of the banana. Why the hell doesn't she use a spoon like a normal person?
"Well, you know what could be even better?"
Samantha lifted an eyebrow.
"Going to the Lollapalooza with company!" Lina smiled just like Lizy does when Lemy gives her the cookie jar from the top of the fridge. "And what's better than a big, strong, man like Lemy, that way we'd be protected."
He looked down; his face was so red he didn't want them to notice.
"And since when do you need protection, miss I'm not afraid of anything?" She asked; Lina has always been so brave and independent, so definitely it was not a good excuse. They needed to play their cards carefully; they started to sound a little too desperate.
"I'm just saying it would be safer going with someone else's company, and who's better than Lemy? He loves Rock, he's smart and funny. You must admit he's perfect."
His face was now burning; listening to Lina saying those things about him was… unreal. He never thought someone besides Lizy would look that up to him.
Samantha was still licking that banana as if it was a… while pondering.
"And… Does Lemy have permission?" she asked.
"Yes." He replied quickly.
Sam looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"You didn't tell your mother who'd you go with, right?"
Lemy saw a little bit of… fear? in the face of that beautiful woman; she knew his parents were irresponsible enough to send their thirteen-years-old son across states to assist a festival full of rock, sex and drugs with a stranger.
"Uhm… I told her I would go with a friend and her mom, I didn't say I would go with you."
Samantha let out a sigh of relief.
Lemy realized that, for some reason, Sam didn't like the idea of meeting his mother. He found out one day when he told her that his mom used to play in a rock band every weekend in the local bars. Lemy thought Samantha would like to meet his mother immediately; he already listened to Sam when she played the guitar, she was pretty good.
But surprisingly, Sam not only didn't want to join the band, she made him promise to never tell Luna that he knew her. When he asked why, she said "we met each other in high school". He understood maybe they were friends, and now with all this crap his mother was in, she didn't want to deal with her. Lemy didn't know why Sam was so nice to him when she didn't want to meet his mother, but he respected that; nobody would like to be seen with one of Lincoln Loud's bitches.
"Look, if you can get the money for the ticket and Lu… your mother gives you permission, you can go."
Lina threw her arms at Lemy's neck and started jumping with excitement. The boy just blushed and scratched his head.
Now he just had to convince his mother and his… father.
Lina and Lemy went to the entrance of M is for Music and stood face to face for a while. Lina was really happy; things went as planned! She was used to that, especially when things involved Lemy Loud.
"Thanks… for convincing your mom to take me."
"It's nothing; I really want you to come with me." She said with a noticeable blush on her cheeks.
"And thanks for… the other thing…" Lemy looked down. It wasn't easy to open up like he did; specially with the girl he lo-
"It's nothing. If you ever feel bad you can always call me."
Lemy didn't reply, but he nodded.
Both looked at each other with nervousness, again not knowing how to say goodbye. Lina lifted her fist, and Lemy bumped his against her. He turned to leave, but Lina leaned and kissed his cheek.
He walked on clouds while going to the bakery; Lina convinced her mother to take him to Lollapalooza and as a bonus, she kissed him.
I know man, it was in the cheek, no need to break the illusion, but in the end it was a kiss, and I've told you, she doesn't do that with anyone.
Shit, if things keep going like this I'll have to start saving money, ya know, for the wedding and that stuff. Rings aren't cheap.
I know I'm just thirteen, but look at her and tell me she's not the one, I dare you.
He was so busy thinking about weddings and shit he didn't realize he just passed the bakery.
"Lemy!" Lacy's voice brought him back to reality.
Lemy turned, and saw her leaning against the window at the entrance.
"Oh no" Lemy muttered. He didn't know what else to say.
He tried to reach to her, but she entered the bakery as soon as she saw him approach.
Lemy handed the note to the guy behind the counter and he walked to the back of the store. Lemy looked at his sister; she was looking at the cakes on the freezers. She stood in front of a giant fridge full with wedding cakes; each and every one of them looked like they were taken from the imagination of a fifteen years old girl.
Lacy looked at them with sadness and longing, putting her hand over the glass. Lemy knew she didn't want to taste the cover, or the decorations made of fondant. She wanted what those cakes represented; something denied for her and the others.
A knot formed in his throat and he swallowed. For a moment he wished he could hug her and tell her that everything would be okay. But that would only make him look like a fucking hypocrite. Just an hour ago he made it clear to her that he would never look at them in that way, so trying to comfort her was not the best choice right now.
So he just waited the guy to return with the cake.
Again in silence, again side by side, together but separated. Both siblings headed for the parking lot. The silence was worse this time; it wasn't provoked by a stupid rule made by his sisters, it was provoked by something he made, and that made a huge difference.
Lacy walked slowly, her head down avoiding eye contact with him, while Lemy carried a huge box. He was desperate to say something, it didn't matter what; the silence was so unsettling it hurt.
But man, what the hell should I say now? What can I say when I just told her I'd never give her what she wants? If only that could take away her pain, I would do it, you know? Half the time I considered the possibility to carry on with the family tradition, but I know it won't solve anything. I've think about it a lot of times, and definitely giving in won't solve the problem, so I'm hurting my sisters for their own good, even if they are too blind to see it.
They arrived to the Van and Lemy put the cake inside. Lacy sat on her spot and rested her head on the window. It was obvious she was sad.
Lemy got out of the van, and leaning against the door he made another joint. Normally he wouldn't smoke in front of his family, except with Lupa; they shared a lot of good moments, not just weed, but a ton of good memories.
He took a drag and closed his eyes, holding the smoke for a couple of seconds before letting it out. Pretty day, isn't it? Maybe I should have accepted that girl's invitation on the basement, or maybe I should have jumped from the parking lot; it was on the third floor, if I was lucky and landed on my head it'd be a quick death.
Lizy, Lynn and Liby returned soon after with bags full of candies and a pony-shaped piñata; they could feel the tension among them. Lizy jumped to Lemy's arms; luckily he finished the cigarette a couple of minutes ago. The little girl felt something was bothering him; whatever it was could be easily resolved with dinosaurs! At least that worked with her. She asked him to play with her and Domi. They spent the next ten minutes exploring all the features of the toy.
Lemy was trying to ignore the fact that Lynn was talking to Lacy; she asked about the details, but Lacy didn't answer.
Lupa and the others came back with bags on their hands; most of them were clothes (looks like Aunt Leni forgot what we came for). Lemy and Lizy played with the dinosaur; mf climbed over a white Prius and tried to break the windshield.
"Lem-Lem, don't do that. The owner might get angry." Leni walked towards him and handed him a bag with the Levy's logo. "I bought you some new pants; those you're wearing are old and so out of style. Also I bought you some really nice shirts, and if you want we can come to buy some jackets."
Lemy accepted the gifts, thinking how much he could get for them on the second-hand store where he buys his clothing.
Don't judge me. I know what you're thinking: selling the clothes your sweet Aunt Leni bought with love for you? Dude, if I wear those I will look like those famous gay-ass Korean fagots.
"Come on Lizy-Lizard, time to go." My little sister took her not-so-little friend and got in the van.
Inside, Leni was the only one talking happily, the rest of us were silent. Lupa is looking at me with curiosity, probably she already noticed Lacy's mood.
"What's wrong Lemy? Your meanie, perverted sister tried to touch your wee-wee?" Lupa smirked, showing her fangs.
This time it was me who showed her the middle finger. I'm not in the mood for this shit.
The road home was long, but with Lizy on my chest and the effect of the weed kicking in, I can sleep with no worries.
The first thing he did after arriving home was putting the cake on the fridge; everyone carried bags, so he had a couple of seconds to get out of there. He didn't want to talk with anyone in that moment and, as the little fagot he was, he hid under the porch.
Here we are brother, just where we started, remember? It's four o'clock and soon they'll call me for lunch, and I'll have to deal with another of my sister's roasting sessions. Well, not this time, fuck them and fuck this; I'll eat cereal or something later. I rather starve than deal with that shit again.
The thing is, weed can solve your problems (or make you forget about them, whatever), but when the effect passes you start to feel really hungry. That's the only downside in our relationship. Yeah, she helps you escape for a while, but it'll make you feel like a Korean idol, and I didn't even bring a stupid bag of chips.
The hell with that, all I can think about right now is that Lina and I will go to one of the best music festivals in the country. That's good, the only good thing that happened this day, because everything else was shit. I haven't even decided what gets the trophy: On one side we have the fact that for one moment I thought I could get Lacy back, for a moment I thought I could have my sister back, at least the sister I knew before the summer, just to find out it was impossible. Doesn't matter what I do, my sisters just want me for one thing. For them, our past relationship can go to hell, what they're looking for is dick and that's all. Yeah, it was pretty bad.
But, remember that thing about crying on the shoulder of the girl I love? Man that was really bad; what a fucking way to show myself to Lina. If I just had one single opportunity to be with her in the past, now I just showed how much of a softy I am. What kind of girl wants to be with a guy who can't keep his shit together?
Well, but at least she kissed me, that means something, right?
Fuck, I'm hungry.
He tried to resist, but in the end his stomach won the battle. He crawled his way to the exit, getting on his feet and cleaning the dirt off his pants. His stomach growled again, maybe Aunt Lynn won't notice if I take one of her energy bars.
Lemy walked to the door, but then spotted Liena working on her orchard. He was always careful not to pee on Liena's plants; his golden rain was reserved for the flowers dad put so much effort to take care of. You heard right, flowers; in Kenny's words: that's pretty fucking gay. That guy is weird, geek and girly; I don't know how he managed to have nine beautiful girls falling in love with him.
For Lemy, it was one of the greatest mysteries of life, just behind of the person who took a shit in the urinal.
In his case it's easy: His sisters want to sleep with him because they grew up thinking that's something siblings are supposed to do, but as long as he knew, his grandparents were not perverts and definitely were not related, so where the fuck did they learn to fuck their brother?
Man, you really expect me to believe that my father is cool enough to seduce a dozen of beautiful women?
Some weird shit must have happened; maybe Aunt Lisa made a pheromone that got everyone crazy and forced them to mate restlessly or something, you know, something that made my aunts act like they were in heat, because that's not normal… Nah, that's bullshit. Something that make people thirst for sex? That sounds like something taken from those stupid fanfics Loan likes to write.
Or maybe that guy is a fucking animal in bed and that's why every woman melts in his arms.
That was another thing that bothered Lemy. Knowing that Lincoln Loud was good at sex was like… Have you ever tried to be better than someone in sports, videogames or something? Well, some kids want to be like their parents, or even better than them.
In my case I grew up hearing how my aunts begged to sleep with him, how they moaned and screamed his name when he fucked them, how good he was, how big he was…
Man, you don't know what it's like to know that your father was eating pussy since he was eleven while you, being thirteen, have to beat your meat to death. I know what you will say: You choke the goose because you want. You have a bunch of beautiful girls that want to take your virginity. Well, you can take that idea and stick it right up your ass. I don't want to fuck any of my sisters; I want a girlfriend, a real one. A girlfriend not blood-related to me, and of course, I want to be good at sex. I always wonder If I'm as good as him, because even if I don't want to be like Lincoln Loud in a lot of things… I would be lying if I tell you I don't want to be like him when it comes to sex, and I wonder if I will ever make a girl scream my name like my mother does with him.
There's a girl, a friend of Leia (I've told you, nobody know who we are in her school, so she can have friends and shit). Well, once we assisted to a ballet recital, and there was this girl named Gwen. She was beautiful, with short brown hair, and beautiful brown eyes that made me…whatever. She smiled to me and we talked. I think she liked me; I met her like… ten minutes? And I was thinking about names for our children. But then Leia came and scared her away, and also she was mean to me, and I think it was the first time she was really mean with me. You know, she didn't take prisoners.
I just realized she was marking her territory, or she was jealous. In that moment I thought she wanted to take me away from her friend because she was ashamed of me.
Lemy stopped looking at Liena taking care of her tomatoes; he still can remember when she forced him to help her plant the seeds, fertilize the ground and then water the plants together. Right now he would give anything to have any of his sisters forcing him to do normal things together.
Lemy got in the kitchen and spotted Luan on the stove mixing something inside a pot; it was her turn to cook, and even when she was not the best chef, she wasn't as bad as Lynn.
He opened the fridge and took out a bottle of milk. Luan glanced at him, and then that awkward silence that always followed Lemy like a loyal dog fell upon the room. Both of them looked at each other with shame and fear.
Lemy quickly grabbed a box of cereal and some sweets from the cupboard, and then made his way out of there quickly. One good thing about your aunt not talking to you is that she can't scold you for eating junk food before dinner.
Lemy entered in his room and locked the door. He turned on the big old fat TV in front of his bed and tuned a random channel. Dude, Discovery channel used to be about nature and interesting shit. Now, all its shows are about naked people in the wild.
One hour later, Lynn interrupted a Simpson's episode just to tell him she'd be waiting for him in the gym. Lemy didn't feel like exercising, but training with his aunt helped him to take out a lot of rage and frustration. In fact, that's the main reason he started training with her. Improve his physical condition and tone his body were very welcomed side effects.
Whatever, let's get this over with. Lemy dressed on a pair of black sweatpants and a grey sweatshirt; not his best outfit but the only one he had. Once done, he walked through the death row.
"Alright, you know the warm up routine." Lynn said with a cold tone, she didn't even looked at him; she was busy benching a pair of big dumbbells.
Hm, that's weird; that woman never misses a chance to mess with me. Part of the time I spend here I use it to work out, and the other part I use it to resist her flirting attempts.
He spent half an hour on the bike, doing squats and working abs. When Lemy first started, about two months ago, he couldn't do more than three crunches.
"Ok, put on the gloves and the protector." Lynn said. She had been hitting a punching bag with advanced boxing techniques for a while; her breathing was heavy and Lemy didn't know if her face was red because of the exercise or anger.
He did as she said. It wasn't anything he hadn't done before. He stood before the punching bag and-
"This time we're gonna practice with each other."
Lemy gulped nervously.
"You think this is a good idea? I'm still not very good, you know?"
"Yes. In fact, I heard you're pretty… tough. I just want to know how much."
Lemy sighed. Looks like Lacy told her what happened between them.
They both held defensive position, and Lemy tried to remember each advice about self-defense she told him.
He lifted his guard, looking for the best position to keep his balance until the first punch hit him. It was over his gloves, which made him punch himself.
He flinched and tried to recover quick, but a punch on his left side made him step back again.
Lemy tried to protect both sides of his head, that's where she's been aiming this whole time. He expected her to work on his face a little bit more, that's why he upped his guard; he was ready to receive another punch, and man, it hit…in his torso, just under his ribs. The pain was so intense that he fell on his knees.
Fuck! That hurts!
"C'mon Lemy, get up."
Lemy got up hardly breathing again in defensive position, and again he is received by a lot of punches to his head.
He was making his best to block them, but damn, Lynn was really good. And soon she had him on his knees again.
"Aunt Lynn… Wait… I-I give up…" Lemy struggled to breathe while fighting against the pain on his left side. Lynn has been punishing his liver this entire time.
"Of course you give up, that's all you do. That, and make little girls cry."
Lemy sighed. Of course she was taking revenge. He should have imagined that.
"I wasn't… I didn't mean to… It has nothing to do with you…"
"You think so? You think that seeing my little girl cry has nothing to do with me?"
Lemy got up quickly and threw a punch; it was the first one he landed. He started to get angry; one thing is argue and fight with his sisters about… that, but another, very different, is when his aunts get in the middle. First was Aunt Luan offering Liby as an object, now Aunt Lynn is punishing him because he stood his ground?
Lynn smiled, whipping a drop of blood from her mouth. Lemy started to strike back throwing punches, but she covered each one, and evaded some of them with ease.
"You think I enjoy watching them suffering? You think it is funny?"
"I think Lyra filled your head with shit."
Lemy stood still for a moment. The air became gasoline in his lungs and his blood became fire in his veins.
For a few moments they stared at each other in silence, and then Lemy snapped.
"Don't bring Lyra into this! Don't even dare to talk about her!"
His punches lack of any technique but are filled with bottled up rage and brute force. Lynn tries to cover but he's just too strong, she's falling back with each punch. She has to make an effort to keep her balance. Lemy's height is giving him advantage, and a pair of blows hit her face; if it weren't by the mask her face would be swollen and purple.
Lemy screams with each blow, taking out all the rage and frustration inside him. But soon his blows start to get weak and the anger start to fade. In matter of seconds he starts to get tired.
Lynn takes advantage of this and returns the fire, taking him down for the third time, and this time he doesn't get up.
They both were breathing heavily, looking at each other with fury. Lynn's eyes are filled with tears, or maybe sweat.
"You don't know what we've been through to be together, and you… you can be with them without hide, without…"
Lynn stops talking and storms out of the room.
When Lemy walks out of Lynn's gym, he meets with Lyra in the hall. The girl came early, and she had in her hands a sandwich and a glass with orange juice.
He hand them to Lemy, and he eats in silence.
"I heard you were upstairs, and I thought you didn't want to repeat what happened last night so… I made you a meal." Lyra watched him eat. "I… just saw what happened…"
Lemy stops chewing, and avoid looking at her. She probably was mad for his violent behavior.
"Thanks for… defending me…"
Lyra had a little blush on her freckled cheeks, he noticed that.
He felt weird whenever she watched him, but his body hurts so much he forgot about it.
"Go to the bathroom, I'll get you some clothes."
He finished the orange juice and placed on the tray. As soon as he tried to get up a sharp pain came from his left side, he let out a grunt but managed to keep standing.
"You need help?" She asked.
"No… let me keep a little dignity and walk on my own." He said. Lyra chuckled, it was obvious it was his manly ego speaking.
He went to the kid's bathroom; there was no line, everyone was eating dinner downstairs.
The first thing he noticed when he got inside was the tub filled with hot water and bubbles. Lyra didn't just make his dinner; she also prepared a hot, relaxing bath. The scent floating in the air told him that she used those aromatic salts he and Leia loved.
He strips naked and gets inside the bathtub. The water is almost boiling, just as he likes. He lies down and relaxes, letting the water do its magic.
Finally, since he yelled at his aunt, he sighed heavily.
Things got tense with Lynn, but I was expecting that. You can't touch the cub without expect the mother's rage.
Maybe the water felt just so good or his body was too tired, but he started to fall asleep, at least until the door opened.
"How's the water?" Lyra asked, putting the clothes on the toilet lid.
"Perfect…" Lemy sighs.
Lyra smiled pleased… and began to get undressed.
When she takes out her last piece of clothing… her panties, she gets in the bathtub. Lemy keep his eyes closed as he hears the splashing of the water.
Lyra took the shower connected to one of those metallic flexible hoses.
"C'mon Lem, let me wash your hair."
Lemy open his eyes, and watched her breasts under the water and covered with bubbles. He can only see her shoulders, so tender and full of freckles.
I know what you're thinking man: Right now you're bathing with your naked sister and blah blah blah. Dude, don't you even say a thing; you saw what happen with Aunt Lynn, and if I just fought a pro female boxer, well… I don't want to have a problem with you. I think we've been getting along pretty well.
Lemy snuggles in her legs, and she hugs him.
I have to admit, is weird to feel my sister's boobs in my back, but I've told you man, she's like my mother.
Lyra lathered his hair, and started to wash it while humming a song.
"Hard day?" she asked.
"Yeah… as always…" Lemy closed his eyes to keep the shampoo from getting in.
"Well, don't worry, I'm here now."
"I know."
While Lyra rinsed his hair, he leaned completely against her chest. She started to wash her hair.
"Do you want me to sleep with you?"
"Please."
Lyra brought both his pajama and her sleeping clothes. Lemy get out of the bathtub first and starts to put on his clothes behind Lyra's back.
And when it comes het turn, he is so busy drying his hair to see anything.
They walked out of the bathroom, just in time to meet with Lupa and Lacy waiting in the line. They look at them with surprise, and then anger.
But none of them say anything, because of Lyra.
He didn't bother in saying good night; there wouldn't be an answer.
When they're under the covers of his bed, Lyra hugs him and caresses his hair.
"Lyra"
"Yes?"
"Thank you."
Thank you.
All Tvvins.
