One morning in Axle City, Blaze and all his friends were at the park for a nice relaxing picnic.

No rescues, no races... nothing.

Even Crusher and Pickle tagged along.

"Man, this is so nice…" Darington sighed, laying on the picnic basket.

"You said it," said AJ. "It feels great to just relax for once."

"Yeah…" Pickle leaned against Crusher, closing his eyes. "Feels like nothing wrong could ruin this day,"

"Don't jinx it, Pickle," Crusher said, looking around. "Something doesn't feel right."

"Well, whatever comes our way, we'll be ready. But I'm getting pretty low on my water bottle," said Blaze, inspecting it. "Lemme go fill it up real quick."

He got up and drove off to the nearest water dispenser to fill his bottle back up. But when he got to it and filled his bottle half-way up, he looked up, wide eyed and froze at the sound of some familiar voices.

"Oh, THIS is Axle City? It looks so plain and, ugh, poor!"

"I know, right? So ridiculous!"

Blaze started to hyperventilate. "No... it can't be...!!"

He turned to find two familiar figures enter the park, all snobbish and whatnot. One was a male of dark indigo while the other was a female of black.

"What do I do... what do I do...?!"

He glanced around and did his best to hide behind a tree to not be spotted.

"Please don't spot me, please please please please please please please..."

Fortunately for him, the two seemed to be too busy complaining to realize he was even there. They passed the tree he hid behind, causing him to sigh.

"Too close... but what do I do next time...? They'll abuse me again for sure!"

He hissed and shook his head before heading back towards the others.

"B? You, okay?" Darington asked. "You look really shaken."

"I… I'm fine, really…" Blaze forced a smile. "Just... a squirrel that scared me."

But, from afar... the two snobbish trucks heard his voice and scowled.

"I know that voice anywhere." the woman hissed.

"Why didn't he die all those years ago?!" the male hissed before taking out a gun. "Never mind. Let's do it now."

The approached the group with a snarl. Starla was the first to spot the gun and got up in alarm.

"They got a gun!!"

Everyone jumped in shock. Blaze gulped as he turned to face the duo.

"Well, well... if it isn't Smoke, Krisha... our half beat, loser of a son." Calvin gritted his teeth.

"My name is Blaze..." the red truck trembled as the gun was pointed at his head. "You-- you must have me mixed up with someone else."

"Your name might be different, but your voice is as annoying as ever." Krisha huffed.

"P-Please, Mother, I--"

Blaze slammed his mouth shut once he realized what he said.

Everyone stared at him wide eyed.

Was this... his mom and dad?

What about Phoenix and Flame? What were they?

"Ha! I knew it!" Krisha sneered.

"Blaze...? What's going on?" AJ asked

"I... I can... I can explain!"

"Let's go, you hunk of bolts!" Calvin screeched, dragging Blaze away.

"NO!! HEEELP!!"

"B!" Darington released his tow hook to grab onto Blaze. "LET HIM GO!"

"NEVER!!"

"KRISHA, YOU AND CALVIN STEP AWAY FROM OUR BABY!!"

The group turned to see Phoenix and Flame drive forward with growls, with Sparkle behind them to protect her. Krisha snarled at the sight of him.

"Phoenix... Flame... never thought we'd see you again after you ripped our boy from our tires."

"US?!" Phoenix hissed. "YOU BOTH left him out to die!"

"He was worthless!" Calvin snapped. "Just like he is now!"

"Don't you DARE call him worthless!" Pickle shrieked.

"Especially... in front of me," Crusher sneered, driving forward. "Hello, Mother. Father."

"Oh, it's you," Calvin huffed. "I thought mother would have let you die too with how pathetic you are as a baby."

"Grammy raised me better than you would. Now let my friend go, or AJ tells our cop friends to move in."

"We've had them on speaker ever since you showed up," Stripes nodded. "Now clear out!"

"Fine..." Calvin said, releasing his grip on the red truck. "But mark my words... we'll be back."

With that, the duo left with a huff. Blaze sighed in relief.

"Are you okay?" Sparkle asked.

"F-Fine, but... Crusher? You're my brother...?"

"Strange enough, but... yeah." Crusher shrugged.

"No... nonono NO!! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!" Blaze began to panic, growing teary eyed. "I DON'T WANT THEM HERE!! I WANNA BE NORMAL, JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!! I... I JUST WISH I WAS NEVER BORN AS THEIR CHILD!!"

And with that, Blaze raced away. They all watched as he left.

"Mom...? What's going on? W-What is Blaze talking about?" Sparkle asked.

"It's... It's a long story," Phoenix admitted. "But... I guess we should start from the beginning."
