Prologue:

The door blasted off its hinges with a blinding orange flash. Incoherent shouting followed trailed closely behind by the barking of gunshots as the several dark figures surrounding her fell limp onto the ground. With blurred vision, the hero looked up and was met with a blinding gun light.

"Q, this is Stormer, target secured. Stand for confirmation of the package." One of the breachers radioed. "Simpkins, check her out."

Another member of the breach team nodded pulling his rifle over his back before taking a kneel in front of the woman.

"Mrs. Morales, we are with the S.K.A.T. teams." The trooper introduces himself unclipping his helmet revealing a Caucasian face with deep blue eyes.

Firmly, he takes wraps his palms around the pro-hero's hands. "We are here to bring you home. Your safe. I just need to ask you a few questions, what's your mother's maiden name?"

The pro struggles to make an answer, the dried blood in her mouth and throat having nearly glued them shut. Seeing this, the breacher reaches for his canteen and gently wets the pro's mouth before providing a few small drafts down her throat.

"Mrs. Morales?" He asked again.

"R..ro..Rosalind." The pro replied between weak coughs.

"Alright." The breacher nods. "One more. What was the name of the high school you went to for hero training?"

"yu….yuuu…. UA"

"Thank you…" The breacher nods again giving his teammates the thumbs up. "You're safe now. No one else is going to harm you anymore. You're in good hands, leave the rest to us."

Perched on a cliff high above in the cliffs over a mile away from the compound, Lynette Sharpe, better known by her callsign: Uxbridge provided overwatch for the breach team which had just secured the pro-hero they had been sent out to find. Next to her lay her spotter and the team's remote ISR operator, Danielle Harper, AKA Q.

[Annotation: ISR stands for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance. In the context of this story, the ISR asset is a drone circling high above the area monitoring the actions of all parties involved.]

"Aah, what a happy reunion." Danielle shakes her head lightly watching the camera feed of one of her teammates in the breach team.

Lynette was about to say something until something suspicious crossed her scope.

"Look sharp, looks like enemy QRF arrived early and covertly." Lynette adjusted her scope onto the newly emerged unknown which about 2000 yards away from the compound.

[Annotation: QRF stands for Quick Reaction Force. It's basically a military stand-in term for 'backup'.]

Danielle saw it too having immediately switched the feed on her tablet over to her partner's scope cam. She alerts the assault team of the new development.

"Assault team, assault team, this is bird's nest. We just got a fix on possible enemy QRF approaching the compound from the north. You got about 2 minutes before it reaches your current AO. There's a truck at the southwestern corner of the compound, advise you take the technical and meet us extract."

"They don't have 2 minutes." Lynette mutters, flipping the switch on the safety of her rifle.

"I don't think you have the range for this shot." Danielle advised. "I should remind you that you currently have .338 JCM and you know exactly how shitty the ballistics are…"

[Annotation: JCM stands for Japan Compliant Munitions. JCM rounds have been developed for use in Japan in response the to the nation's preference for the non-lethal neutralization of villains and their henchmen. JCM rounds come in all known weapon calibers. They are the only type of munition S.K.A.T. operators are authorized to use within country however in practice, many still do carry traditional munitions to address unexpected battlefield conditions.]

"Quiet, let me concentrate."

As the 4-member assault team haul the recovered pro-hero out from the building, a massive bullet flies over their heads lumbering towards its target.

"Target…hit." Danielle reports. "Headshot. Target drops to its knees and…."

"Tsk.." Lynette watches as the target stood back onto its feet. She immediately cycles the bolt and fires a follow up shot.

Once again, the round finds its mark and the target gets back onto its feet.

"Somebody's mad..." Danielle smirks turning off the recording software on each team member's camera hardware.

"I'm going lethal." Lynette announced pulling the bolt rearwards and exchanges the incumbent magazine with another filled with .338 Lapua Magnum.

"Still…. The record for the longest confirmed hit with a .338 LM is 2707 yards. I don't think you have fully mastered your ability to manipulate the bullet's.." Before Danielle could finish, the air was sucked out of her as her partner fired the shot. "Preserve enough energy to take down such big game."

Pushing her quirk to beyond its regular operating conditions, Lynette guides the munition towards her target preserving as much kinetic energy as she could manage given the abrupt nature of her shot.

It finds it mark on the Nomu, a bright flash of spark like metal striking metal briefly lit up Lynette's scope as the creature keels backwards.

"No pen, no pen!" Danielle calls moving her left palm to the ejection port of Lynette's rifle to collect the bullet casing as it was ejected. "Things likely not dead but atleast its out cold by the looks of it."

[Annotation: No pen=bullet did not penetrate the target]

"Lase a hellfire down on it to confirm the kill." Lynette calmly mutters trying to keep her anger under control.

"We're in JAPAN! Our ISR asset does not have AGM-114 hellfires equipped on it so your chance really was with the .338." Danielle replied. "Come on, let's get to extract."

"Tsk." Lynette grumbles flipping the safety on her rifle.

The two SKAT operators quickly pack up their OP and make their way to the predesignated pick-up point. Unbeknownst to them, the target Lynette had just engaged growled before getting back onto its feet.

(Scene change)

"Thank you for joining us this morning as we bring you live coverage to the latest developments on the kidnapping of Pro-Hero: Nightingale. We have just received word the government of Japan had authorized the deployment of UN SKAT team 4 in the efforts to locate and rescue Nightingale. What pro-hero agencies across Japan could not accomplish in over a month was single handedly completed in a few hours by SKAT team 4. We now join our associate on the ground."

The newsfeed changes to a live shot of a helicopter landing at a military base. The aircraft's ramp lowers and a group of six individuals dressed in combat attire exit the chopper escorting the pro-hero: Nightingale.

"As we witnessed just now, UN SKAT team 4 has just completed its deployment and successfully found and recovered our missing pro. As we all know, the deployment of SKAT teams, specifically SKAT team 4 has raised controversy within Japan concerning the effectiveness and efficiency of pro-hero agencies. At the same time, the public has continued its relentless pressure towards the UN and the Japanese government to uncover the identities of the 6 members which make up SKAT team 4. Like all previous campaigns, the government and the UN security council has refused to identify these 6 heroic individuals citing international security reasons."

The camera lens zooms into one of the members of the team which was headed to the hangar before cutting back to the news anchor.

"We interrupt the broadcast to take you to our live coverage at the United Nations University Headquarters Building in Shibuya. In just moments, we are expecting a spokesperson of the ministry of defense and the British ambassador to make a joint statement."

The newsfeed cuts into the meeting just in time as the spokesperson begin their opening statement. For the next several minutes he goes down in detail the series of events surrounding the kidnapping of the pro-hero. The British ambassador to Japan then takes over and makes some highlights before delivering a statement from the UN security council.

"We recognize the increasing need-for and deployment of SKAT teams on Japanese soil to combat increasingly sophisticated villain entities. As such we the permanent members of the United Nations security council have voted unanimously to establish a training mission at UA academy to provide tactical enrichment, guidance, and training to benefit the next generation of pro-heroes in Japan. Effective immediately, 6 members from the SKAT organization will be stationed at UA academy on a 24/7 basis."

Nezu turns off the television recording and sets his eyes on the six new instructors provided to UA by the United Nations. Three of them he recognized as former students of UA having pulled their file from the academy's database. The others: a duo of Americans, a Russian, and a Frenchwoman were complete enigmas to him.

"Welcome back to UA gakuen." The principal extends a paw. "Uxbridge."

"The pleasure is all mine, Principal." Lynette takes the paw with a gloved hand.
