Chapter Eight

They had less than an hour to get those damn tests done. Leon drove like a crazy asshole around the city, just to get tot he nearest pharmacy. This was still a luxury to let it be. Claire remembered the last time she went to the nearest drug-store to get the most likely chapest pregnancy test, to get it done. But now she had like five different, more expensive test laying next to her.

„Anything new?" Leon screamed throught the door.

„Still a few more mintues. It's all a blur." Claire sighed, then she opened the bathroom door, to let Leon in.

„Done all the way?" Leon asked.

„If I wouldn't be done, I wouldn't let you in." Claire laughed, as she sat next to the toilet.

„If it's all the same, and turns out that you havin' a kid?" Leon asked.

„Kindda have to drop out of high school, I guess." Claire answered. „I couldn't be able to finish it."

„You wouldn't have to." Leon said. „You would have at least four months, that could be easy to do."

„Maybe… But all the questions, and lies…" Claire sighed.

„Lies?" Leon asked.

„You wouldn't tell anyone everything if that would happen to you, right?" Claire asked back.

„No I guess, so I try to get what you're saying." Leon said.

A long silence moment passed, then Claire seeked up to have a look at those tests, then finally saw something. She stood up really fast then hold the first in her hand what she reached for. Then everything started to shatter in her. Because oh hell sure that damn test was positive as hell. Claire peeked another look to all the other four, but they all looked the same. Two lines. Sure positive.

„It is positive, indeed." Claire sighed.

Leon quickly stood up and pulled Claire over for a hug. It wasn't his fault after all, but oh god, the pain what Claire feels, almost wandered into Leon's heart to feel the same. It was a living hell now.

„Congratulations should be the one to say now." Leon said.

„And thanks should be the second to say back." Claire said.

„Don't waste any other time to tell him." Leon said. „And to make sure you're with the right doctor's."

„Hell almost forgot about it." Claire laughed. „Nevermind, it will be okay."

Then the door opened. They've looked at eachother while they freaked out. Quickly they had to hide all those tests, and just throw them into Claire's drawer. Not the best place, but hopefully it will do something for a while.

„What's going on?" Chris asked as he got up tot he first floor.

„Nothing much." They've answered.

„Alrighty." Chris sighed. „Want something special to order, for tonight, my girl?" Chris turned to Claire.

„Oh, I'm gonna look through the net." Claire smiled. Sure she had a lot of junk food in her mind, to order. A big long order, especially from McDonalds.

„I'm gonna leave, I don't really want to bother." Leon said.

„Wouldn't mind you over for dinner." Chris said. „Friends are always welcomed."

„If it's not a problem I can stay for a bit longer." Leon smiled.

Great. Now Claire has to deal with two assholes. Buta t least she got a little time to think about how he's gonna suprise Chris with the news. Not so short after they've placed a little bigger than expected order to McDonalds to deliver, they had almost one hour until the food arrived. The only thing was currently on Claire mind, was the big news. The feeling, that a baby is growing inside, and that this baby possibly could kill everything in her too, was a not so good thing to think about.

„How come that you've ordered so much, honey?" Chris asked.

„I feel really hungry now. I didn't eat since lunch." Claire answered. „I didn't feel so well."

„Why didn't you? At least a snack would help you not to feel like this, you're gonna be full because of this." Chris said.

Leon gave Claire some angry eye during this conversation. She should be eating for two, not even starving herself! Leon thought.
But how happy Claire was on the inside when she took all the four long paper bags from McDonalds when their food arrived. How happy she was after eating it, but damn full she was after. And even tried to eat some another more, because of the „eating for two". She didn't really know in the morning that she was eating for two, she only fed herself with the amount of food she was used to, and it was almost nothing. She almost kindda fell into a kind of eating-disorder, because of the running and chasing Chris phrase. And didn't cover up since. And it's not the easiest thing to cover up from.

„Already full?" Chris laughed.

„Please, shot me." Claire sighed.

„You deserved it." Leon laughed, too.

I didn't realize that you're here too. When will you be gone? Claire thought. She wanted to let everything out from her mouth. And the night was only getting older. Not younger. She waited patinetly for Leon to get out, then facing Chris, only these two being together.

„He knows everything." Chris said.

„What?" Claire asked, while she panicked.

„Claire." Chris sighed. „You told him that you're in love with me, when you were drunk as hell. Then he asked me about it, so he knows now."

„Strange. He didn't ask me a thing." Claire said. „I thought he forgot about it because I was drunk."

„No, he didn't." Chris laughed. „I almost thought he's gonna tell it to the world! I panicked a lot, but then he covered it up. And in the RPD nobody knows about you being my sister. Only about you, being my girlfriend."

„Thats kindda cool." Claire smiled. „From my side, nobody knows about it, I didn't even speak to Kelly outside of school, since I got really along with Leon. Kindda feeling bad for it."

„It's alright. As I saw Kelly isn't bored, she has a lot of fun even without you with those strange motorheads. So do't worry about her." Chris smiled.

„I'm just a bad friend." Claire sighed. She really felt bad. She didn't even text Kelly about the pregnancy. Not even about the scare or a damn word… How this gonna hurt her in the ass, after she will probably drop out of high school.

„No, you're not." Chris sat next to her. „You're just going through a lot of different types of shit. Like I do, like everyone does. Just a little different, this time. Neither I keep in touch with my closer friends these days."

„And why don't you?" Claire asked.

„Because all I have now, is you. And all I wanna care about, is you." Chris answered, as he smiled at her.

They've both smiled at eachother, before fading away into eachother's passionate ways into kissing eachother. No matter how hard Claire tryied to reject the asking towards to having another round, she couldn't handle the fact, how she cannot resist. She let herself thrown into it. But it was all for the good reason…

A/N: Another thing I got, and based a little off from my life. I wrote this chapter sitting next to a bag of KFC food, and soo hungry for it now. Good for having a week vacation from work now.
