"Face your life, its pain, its pleasure, leave no path untaken."

Neil Gaiman (The Graveyard Book)

Previous Chapter. Lily Flower.

Suiren and Suzuran. Both of them have flower names. Yuri likes flower names.

Kanna is an Anaconda. Yuri favourite animal.

Kanna means Lily in old Japanese. Yuri also means Lily.

Even though there was still some uncertain part, but Tsuna is certain. Kanna is Yuri.

But when Kanna continued looking at him in confusion, he could not help but despair.

Kanna is a Cervello. She did not remember being Yuri.

And without conscious thought, the questions left his mouth.

"Why did you decide to forget?" He heard himself said. "Why did you become Cervello?"

But, before he got any replied he heard the door slammed and someone else called for him.

"JUUDAIME."

Chapter 15. The Past and Future of her.

Present.

When Hayato, the Storm Guardian of Vongola Decimo along with his fellow Guardians entered their Boss's private office. He expected to find his Boss in a state of anger, but he was wrong. What he did find, Vongola Decimo was both on the verge of mental breakdown and bursting into tears.

Considering the only one around was Lady Vongola, Hayato understandably concluded that she was the source of his Boss's distress. But, he did not dare to attack her, whether it was physically or verbally, because she was important for Decimo. Besides, she also looked confused by the situation.

That was why Hayato did not have a choice but to wait for his Boss to calm down and told them what he needs.

When Tsuna heard Hayato called him, he realised that unconsciously he was leaking Dying Will Flames and started to calm down. Losing control of his Flames is the last thing he wants. Besides, Tsuna knows that they must be confused.

After calming down, Tsuna looked at Kanna, who still looked at him in confusion. He quickly looked away because he would probably burst into tears if he looked at her for too long.

"Hayato."

"Yes, Juudaime!"

"Send a message to Byakuran," Tsuna ordered. "I want to talk to him."

"Right away, Juudaime!"

Hayato left in a hurry and left him with Kanna and his other Guardians. Thankfully it was Takeshi and Chrome, the quieter of his Guardians. And they are more patient and observant at assessing a situation.

He was confused, angry and grieving. He is not in a condition to explain anything to them.

He needs to accept what happened first. He could not run away anymore. He did not want to be in denial any more.

"Takeshi. Chrome."

"Yes, Tsuna." "Boss?"

"Could you please wait outside?" Tsuna ordered softly. "I need time. Please wait until I could explain everything." The unspoken message was clear to them

"Of course, Tsuna." "Yes, Boss."

When Tsuna was certain that his Guardians were not in his private rooms anymore. His body crumbled to the floor and freely let go of his tears.

He ignored the presence of his silent spectator. But, Kanna did not ignore him for long.

"Tsunayoshi." She said pleadingly.

His mind was reeling from her call. He could not answer her.

"Tsunayoshi, please." She asked again. "What do you need?"

Tsuna gripped his scalp. "I can't. I can't."

It was very hard to believe what his intuition told him, but he could not deny it anymore.

"Please, tell me. How can I help you?" She asked frantically.

Tsuna is torn. He wanted to demand answers from her. He wanted to beg for it. But, what if she did not know? What if he did not like the answer?

When Tsunayoshi continued to talk incoherently, Kanna decided to take the matter into her metaphorical hands.

She knew that the contents of the box were the cause of Tsunayoshi's breakdown. So, she decided to look at it. She pushed the box off the table since she did not have a hand to open it.

Tsunayoshi was startled by the noise and looked at the floor in surprised. Both of them were looking at the same thing.

A braid of long black hair. There was a trace of Flames on it. She only spotted it because it was weakening. Tsunayoshi looked like he also noticed the same thing.

Hesitantly, he grabbed the braid and stared at it intently.

Then, he looked up at her determinedly.

"Do you recognized these Flames?" Tsunayoshi brought the braid closer to her.

She stared at him and she was certain that he was not asking her because he already knew the answer.

She touched the braid. She was not surprised to find out that she did recognize the Flames.

After all, it was her Flames.

Tsunayoshi did not wait for her answer.

"Do you know why I have your Flames?"

"No." She said shortly

Tsunayoshi laughed deprecatingly. He put his right hand above his eyes and continued laughing depressingly.

For a while, she could only look at the pitiful sight.

Then, he put down his hand. He put the braid back inside the box and stood up to put it back on his desk. After that, he finally sat on a chair and sighed loudly.

Tsunayoshi looked up and stared at her with eyes the coloured of Sky Flames.

"When I was a little boy I met a girl, who became my first friend." She saw him clenched his fists while talking. "But, I left her because I was a coward."

"I thought she would give up on me." He gave her a bitter smile. "But, I underestimated her. I forbid her from seeing me. So, she sent me letters instead. Even though I did not give her a reply, she did not give up."

She saw his fists trembling and she knew that he must have punctured his nails into his palms. Her Tsunayoshi did that a lot when he was very angry or sad.

"Four years ago, we made up." Tsunayoshi smiled a little before it fell. "But, it did not last long."

"I made her left me again because I did not want her to get involved with the mafia." He sighed pitifully. "I thought she would not give up on me like before."

He looked down on the box and laughed without any joy. "But, I overestimated her. She let me go."

Tsunayoshi pulled on his hairs with both of his hands. "She gave up on me."

"Why?" He asked with a voice full of pain.

Abruptly, he looked at her still with eyes the coloured of Sky Flames.

"Why did you give up me?" His voice and eyes begged for the answer desperately.

"I… but… what." She stuttered uncertainly.

"Why? You have my answer, Kanna-san. Tell me why." Tsunayoshi firmly demanded.

"I don't… know." She answered hesitantly.

"You do know." He looked at her despairingly. "You must know."

"I don't know what you are asking me." She said in confusion.

He frowned thoughtfully. "Let me ask you another question."

She felt both uncertain and wary at the question he would ask her.

"Why did you left your husband?"

Her eyes widened in confusion and trepidation. "I already told you why. Our contract was expired."

"Is that the only reason?"

She kept her silence.

Tsunayoshi sighed tiredly.

"Kanna-san, do you love your husband?"

She hesitated but decided to answer honestly. "Yes."

He closed his eyes as if the answer pained him.

"Do you love Sawada Tsunayoshi?"

"Yes."

He opened his eyes and looked at her intently. For a while, they only stared at each other. Then, Tsunayoshi opened his mouth.

"I love you too, Natsume Shirayuri," Tsunayoshi told her firmly.

She frowned in confusion.

"The Past one, the Future one, even the Parallel one. I love all version of her." Tsuna added. "Including you, Kanna-san."

Her eyes widened in disbelief. Unconsciously, tears fell from her eyes.

It was strange. This was not the first time Sawada Tsunayoshi confessed his love to her. But, somehow this one felt different.

Was it because this Tsunayoshi was not her husband.

Or was it because this Tsunayoshi called her with a name that she did not remember anymore, that she realized belong to her.

Or, was it because…

"But, Tsunayoshi, how could you love me?" She asked.

… she did not love this Tsunayoshi.

Tsunayoshi gave her a little smile. "It's fine. I know what you are going to say."

His smile became sad. "You love Sawada Tsunayoshi, who was your husband, and only that one, because he did not let you go."

"Unlike him, I let her go and gave up on her. I should not have done that." He looked at a letter that was clutched in his hands "I just regretted that it took me so long to realize it."
