Fear me, A dark voice growled low in it's throat. Do my bidding.

No, Jennifer thought weakly, trying to ignore the fear and anger and hopelessness that was gathering in her. I won't.

Though her vision was fading again, her eyes closing. Her tensed muscles fell limp despite her whirling mind. I have a plan, She thought. Athena always has a plan.

But her grandmother was dead. Faded, destroyed, along with Olympus. Even so, would she even care? Jennifer's mother's mother was a goddess.

Still, as her head rolled against her chest, the fear rising in her, she sent out a prayer.

Please, grandmother. Please, guide me.

Five hundred and sixty two days of sitting, waiting.

Five hundred and sixty two nights, spent alone as she prayed that her plan would work.

Five hundred and sixty two scars on her back, cut over and bloody.

Jennifer continued counting down the seconds, counting out the pain, until she got to the brink of death she'd been waiting for.

Just as she had hoped, they sent her to the infirmary instead of leaving her to die. A Cyclops was in charge there - odd, though, because those were his killers - and he hovered over Jennifer as the healers did their job.

Her wrists were bound to the cot, her legs left free as the healers worked to fix the fact that part of her... leg bone that had punctured her skin.

There was enough blood for Jennifer to know that had she not been sent to be healed she would have bled out. For a split second she wondered what His plan was - if he knew her plan, if He really had taken over the world.

What would happen if this was all an allusion?

Jennifer didn't know when it happened but suddenly she was waking up in a flowery field, the grass green and everything just a little too clear to be normal.

She could hear laughter - it was up over that hill - and trees surrounded everything. They seemed to bend forward, caging her in. Their leaves fluttered to the ground as the wind blew hard.

Before Jennifer knew it the heavy clouds were raining, and the laughter turned to shrieks.

Someone called out to one of they friends - Come on, Death Boy! Afraid of a little water? The name - Jennifer knew that name, knew the teasing voice it was spoken on. But at the same time she didn't and the familiarity of the name and voice fizzled away as the rain fell harder and one of the people on the top of the hill came rolling down.

Stumbling back a step as the girl came to a stop near her feet, Jennifer frowned. The brow, choppy hair and glittering eyes were so familiar- but she couldn't place a name to the girl who was already shaking the wet leaves out of her hair, calling out to her friends.

Come on, Repair Boy! Scared?Jennifer wanted to scream, the names were there, at the tip of her tongue, but she couldn't speak - her mouth wouldn't move and her brain couldn't remember.

Then her knees buckled, her arms flew out to catch herself, and the world went dark.

"Hey, Jenny." Lee's voice said. The world was still dark, but she could hear him.

"Now, I know you don't like me calling you that, but I had to get your attention. And it worked, didn't it? Now, listen to me. Right now you're dreaming. When you wake up, I want to you to remember as much as you can about your cell. It's number, the color of your blanket, anything."

Jennifer nodded rapidly, despite knowing Lee couldn't see her. Most of this made her plan go out the window - but hopefully that would be okay. If anything, they had a backup plan.

"Now, Jenny, stay with me for a moment. Listen, okay? I need you to listen-"

Lee faltered. His breathing turned ragged, and Jennifer didn't want to imagine what was happening.

She heard a few more words, but nothing helpful. The last few words she heard wasn't Lee.

WAKE UP!

Hey, it's been a while, I know. Sorry if this chapter doesn't make much sense, but I've had some writers block with this story. I've finally gotten something written, though, which is good. It isn't checked over well, I'm tired, but I hope you like it.
