Hi everybody, this is chapter 18 of this story. Thank you to those who favourite the previous chapter. I hope you like this chapter.

"You have a choice in this world, I believe, about how to tell sad stories, and we made the funny choice."

John Green (The Fault in Our Stars)

Previous Chapter. Byakuran's Gamble.

Byakuran realized that his sister is a Cervello now. He wanted to get his sister back but did not know how to do that. Hahaoya was no help because she did not remember.

So, normally Byakuran would not leave anything to fate. But, he did not know what else to do to get his sister back.

That was why, Byakuran wholeheartedly supported his sister love for Tsunayoshi-kun, because he was certain that fate would pull them back together, no matter how far apart they are.

When Byakuran heard that Vongola Decimo wanted to talk to him. He knows that his gamble is paying off.

Chapter 18. Careless Trust.

Byakuran was currently sitting on a chair inside Vongola Decimo's office, While watching the said person pacing in front of him.

Though 'pacing' was putting it lightly.

Sawada Tsunayoshi was stomping around his office, while his whole body was trembling with restrained anger, and also he was glaring at Byakuran quite venomously.

Byakuran did not think he deserved this much malice. He might in another world, but not in this world, at least not yet.

This has been going on since he arrived. And he was getting bored.

"Tsunayoshi-kun, I heard you wanted to talk." Byakuran began cheerfully.

Tsunayoshi's glare got even darker than before. Inwardly, Byakuran shivered fearfully.

"Byakuran…" Tsunayoshi said menacingly. "When are you going to inform me about your sister."

Byakuran tilted his head when he noticed that Tsunayoshi could not say his sister's name.

"What are you talking about?" Byakuran smiled innocently.

Tsunayoshi looked away. Byakuran could hear him gritting his teeth from where he sat. It might not be a good idea to provoke the furious Vongola Decimo, but by now, it had become an ingrained habit of his.

Sure, Byakuran was going to help Tsunayoshi eventually. But, doing that without some provocation would just be strange.

Tsunayoshi finally decided to stop standing around and sat across from him. Then, Tsunayoshi looked at him intently. Non-verbally telling him to stop playing around.

"Are you aware that your sister is currently a Cervello?" Tsunayoshi said with distaste and resignation.

Byakuran dropped his smile. "Yes, of course." A tint of anger leak out from his voice.

Tsunayoshi gave him a look. "Why did you not tell me?"

He looked at Byakuran in betrayal and disappointment.

Byakuran looked at Tsunayoshi thoughtfully. No one should have given that kind of look to a former enemy. Tsunayoshi probably did not know it, but it was that look that endeared him to his former enemies.

After all, you would not look at your enemy in betrayal and disappointment, which imply some kind of trust. And former enemy or not, when Tsunayoshi looked at him like that, it was like he was saying that he already forgive their past fights and did not see them as an enemy anymore.

Byakuran was certain that Tsunayoshi other former enemies agreed with him. They would not have cooperated with Tsunayoshi so easily otherwise.

"I don't think it would help anyone even if you knew." Byakuran answered Tsunayoshi's question.

Tsunayoshi bit his lip, as if he wanted to disagree but know better. He looked resigned while gripping his hands in agitation.

"Do you know where she is now?" He asked quietly, thought Byakuran could still hear the hope and longing in his voice.

"I do."

Tsunayoshi looked at him with wide eyes, his expression showing obvious surprise and disbelief.

Then, he became hesitant. "Will you take me to her?"

"I will."

"Just like that?" He looked at him sceptically.

"Yes, just like that."

"Okay."

Tsunayoshi looked down in relief, even though his hands still shaking in agitation. Honestly, Byakuran was astounded that Tsunayoshi trusts him enough to show his agitation so openly.

They both went quiet. Even Byakuran decided not to fill the silence with useless chatter.

"Do you why?" Tsunayoshi began quietly.

"Why what? Tsunayoshi-kun." Byakuran said thoughtfully.

"Why did she become a Cervello?" Tsunayoshi looked at him distressingly.

"I have few guesses." Byakuran shrugged.

He frowned at him. He was about to open his mouth, but Byakuran began talking again.

"Tsunayoshi, there is something I want to know." Byakuran gave him a false smile.

Tsunayoshi looked at him in wariness. "What is it?"

"Why haven't you said her name at all?" Byakuran grinned ominously. "Could it be that you do not remember?"

Tsunayoshi looked surprised, but then he closed off his expression and look neutral. His hands also stop trembling and become steady. Suddenly, his whole body gave nothing away.

To say that Byakuran was unnerved was an understatement. If he did not know better, he would have thought that Tsunayoshi was in his Hyper Dying Will mode. But, he did know better, and this was not that.

"I do remember her name." Tsunayoshi said monotonously. "But, I decided not to use it."

Byakuran looked at Tsunayoshi warily. He wanted to ask why, but he did not think that he would get an answer.

Tsunayoshi stared became sharpen and spoke. "Can you tell me why she became a Cervello?"

Byakuran got a feeling that it was not a question.

"I think you should ask her yourself." Byakuran gave a strained smile. He was not going to let himself get intimidated easily.

Tsunayoshi narrowed his eyes disgruntedly. Then, suddenly, Tsunayoshi became his usual self again. His neutral mask dropped and his whole body slumped down in tiredness.

Byakuran truly wanted to ask 'What was that about?'. But decided that he did not want to know.

"There are circumstances that I want to inform you." Tsunayoshi said as if nothing happened.

"What circumstances?"

Tsunayoshi gave him a pointed stare. "I am currently playing host to some visitors from the future."

Byakuran tilted his head in curiosity.

"Can you help me figure out where they came from?" Tsunayoshi questioned seriously.

"Why?"

"Because I want to send them home as soon as possible." Tsunayoshi's stare became even more intent.

Byakuran chuckle inappropriately. "Why Tsunayoshi-kun? I did not know that the Vongola could be so rude as to kick out their guests."

The stare softened but also became more urgent. Which was just Tsunayoshi giving him an unimpressed look.

Byakuran raised his eyebrow in curiosity. Whoever these visitors are either dangerous or in danger to Vongola.

Which was Tsunayoshi trying to protect, he wondered.

"Will you help me?" Tsunayoshi asked.

Byakuran grinned predatorily. "Of course."

How ironic. To think that Tsunayoshi trusts him more than the Vongola. Tsunayoshi is very careless with who he trusted. Tsunayoshi is lucky that Byakuran likes him.
