Chapter 2
Magnolia X791
Lucy stood behind her guildmates at the back in the shadows clutching a note in her left hand tightly staring ahead at Makarov who was before her not hearing a thing with Loke beside her who shook turning to her tightly. He gently traced the letters on to her back while doing so. D-I-S-B-A-N-D-I-N-G F-A-I-R-Y T-A-I-L
Shaking her head Lucy buried it into Loke's chest heaving sobs making their way out, lost among the sobs of her fellow guildmates. Slowly they began to disappear none stopping by to check in all of them leaving in their groups keeping track of their friends leaving her behind and forgotten.
She let the tears stream down as she felt her pink mark vanish. That was it her one home was gone. She looked up searching for Erza, Gray anyone else from Team Natsu and was met but nothing but the retreating backs of the other members. All she had now was her spirits.
Lucy looked to where Master Makarov had once stood and turned on her heel angrily stalking into the forest near Magnolia. She would be fine, her hand unconsciously climbed up to her collarbone and fisted on the Aquarius marking across her collar. She walked deep into the forest coming to a stop at a wide-open field. She could begin practising here. She plopped down in the middle of the field and began her breathing exercises as she had been instructed by Capricorn before Tartaros. Lucy slowly began to let her magic seep out allowing for a bubble with all the constellations to appear, as she allowed for her emotions to run out at about the same time she began to teeter on the edge of losing her already iffy control on her magic. Before she managed to even out slightly not noticing the bright constellation of Aquarius that glimmered as her mark lit blue.
Spirit World X791
Lucy's spirits gathered around her mirror observing the mage as she floated in her meditation before turning to look at the gold keys in her possession. All of them stared at her with hardened expressions on their faces their eyes brimmed with worry and sadness.
"The brat hasn't called for you, any of you," Aquarius stated solemnly looking down on the last reminder she had of Layla in that world. "All of you who can appear go to her but she hasn't called for a single one of you since that day." She rounded her glare unto Loke who met her glare with a sombre expression that darkened.
"Why? Why did you do it?! You knew that she needed you. You were there for her you were like her mother, one of the last true connections to her mother..." Loke growled at the mermaid becoming quieter and calmer to the end of his sentence, almost sounding broken for his meditating mistress. "...Hated? You didn't hate her and no matter your shitty attitude we all knew she loved you. You should have let me do it, Mavis, Aquarius I would have done it in a heartbeat. She almost died for me and I would gladly be stripped of my freedom to leave her just to serve her."
"What good would that have done, Leo? Tell me. Would it have made you feel better if she bore the mark of Leo instead?"
"No, of course not but at least she wouldn't be mourning her first friend."
"It would have been the same and I had the highest chance of making this work, I knew her for the longest and like you said I was her first friend and link to her mother. I was the best choice the rest of you were down for the count, tell me who else, dear leader."
Loke looked at Aquarius watching the small tremble of her lip as she continued to meet his gaze with a glare before turning back to the mirror and watching Lucy meditate serenely in the field.
"Do you think she'll be okay? She's deaf, Fairy Tail is gone and Team Natsu has disappeared."
"She'll be fine she always is," Aquarius confirmed trademark smirk pulling at her lips remembering all of their adventures together. Looking down at blonde her smirk fell a bit before whispering. "She has to be."
