A couple days later

Arizona's POV:

Ever since everything happened at Carlos' funeral, we went back to the cabin and tried to all come up with a plan to get back to everyday life. So far we've been staying in Callie's penthouse apartment. I'm going back to work tomorrow at the hospital and to say i'm nervous is an understatement. I'm more nervous about all my coworkers and the questions. I mean it has been like over month since I just kinda dropped off the face of the earth and got married alot has changed and on top of all that nobody still knows about Callie. She has agreed to be snuck in tomorrow and have a meeting with Chief Webber in hopes of working something out to get a job back. Hopefully that all goes well. She still hasn't decided what she's going to do about Mark all she said was that she'll handle it and that definitely worries me. Everybody reactions worry me which is why i'm currently laying in our bed wide awake when I should be asleep since I have to be up early for work.

I'm brought out of my thoughts when I hear Callie

"mmmm Arizonaaaa" i look at her and see her throwing a fit

"Yes?" I say trying to hold in my laughter from how adorable she looks

"You think toooo loudddd" she whines out

"Come on lets go back to sleep" i say turning over trying to get comfy

"what was on your mind?" She asks as she grabs me pulling me in closer nuzzling into me

"Ughh i don't know lets just go back to sleep"

"Come on Ari, is it about tomorrow?" She asks nudging me

"Yea I guess I'm just really nervous honestly" i sigh out

"Babe you're gonna do great. You are the world's best pediatric surgeon! Them kids will be lining up for you. And if your worried about me don't be honey I told you I got this. I will fix this mess" she says giving me a passionate kiss and I instantly feel better after

At the hospital

I was trying to sneak in this morning and I thought I was being successful until I hear Bailey's voice

"Robbins! What the hell I thought you were dead?! You can't just disappear! Where'd you even go?"

"Hiiii Bailey how are you?" I turn around and go to give her a hug

"Don't you Hi Bailey me! And quit hugging me! Now have you lost your damn mind!"

"Look Miranda honestly I would love to explain everything to you but Chief Webber will explain it all later in the meeting but just know I am back for good now"

"Mhmmmm well glad to have you back Robbins. Just don't disappear on me like that again" she says as she walks away. I sigh out in relief one person down and a million more to go.

Thankfully I've had an emergency surgery I was pulled into so I've been able to hide in there all day. I was able to finish just in time for our staff meeting which is why I'm headed to the Chiefs office right now. He asked that I meet him there first and then we'll make our way together to the conference room. As I open the door I see my beautiful sitting on the sofa and Richard goes to stand up "Nice of you to join us Robbins"

"Sorry Chief I had an emergency surgery"

"No worries I'm glad to have both you and Torres back! And I'm happy to see that y'all both worked it out!

"Thank you sir" i say smiling at my wife

"With that being said lets get the show on the road and lets get this meeting started"

We make our way to room hand in hand and the Chief has us wait outside until his ready. I can't really make out what he's saying but I do take the opportunity to snuggle in a little closer to my Calliope. Lost in her arms I'm broken out of comfort when the Chief comes to get me.

"So guys like I was saying I trust you as the heads of the departments to not make a big deal about and act like children. Now I have to very nice talented doctors that I would like to introduce to you who will be working with us from now" i walk in the room and I hear a bunch of gasps and I'm surround in a hug as Alex ran over to me I can hear him in my ear

"I'm so happy you're back Boss"

"Alex take a seat!"

Everybody starts talking at once I can make out here and there what they're saying "Where'd you go?" "What happen?" "Are you okay" "why'd you leave?"

"Alright guys enough! All of your questions will be answered if y'all stop being so damn impatient!" Richard yells out "Now Arizona please take a seat so I can introduce our next doctor"

I take a seat and watch as my beautiful wife walks into the room
