Callie's POV:
To say I'm nervous is an understatement. I mean I didn't exactly picture telling everybody I was back like this. But Richard suggested it and well here we are. Not to mention I still have a fear of public speaking and I know everyone will have alot of questions which they rightfully should.I hear Richard give me the que to walk in and I take a deep breath. Here we go no turning back now. As I walk in the room my eyes instantly go to Arizona and a sense of calmness runs through me. She'll always be my home and my safe space. It's easy for me to get lost in her eyes but I can still hear the gasp of everyone as I walk in and stand by Richard. A few minutes must have passed by and standing beside Richard I start to shift nervously. You can basically hear a pen drop, it's so quiet right now. Richard is the first to break the silence
"So as I was saying I am pleased to have these two extraordinary surgeons back on our team and they are here to stay for good this time. And I expect all of you to behave and not act like children do not chase them away! Now if you have any questions for either of them lets hear it now and then we will leave it in this room after this got it?"
It's still quiet. I look around the room at the familiar faces. I see the Mcdreamy's opening their mouths and closing them looking at each other like there trying to figure out what's going on. Bailey's just staring. April keeps trying to say something only to end up not saying anything at all.
"Bailey why don't you start us off?" Richard ask her
"Uh nosir I don't have anything to say" she says looking at me giving me the Bailey stare
That's when my Arizona stands up and comes stand beside me grabbing my hand. "Look guys I know this is a shock and believe me I was shocked too. You guys are our family though and we love you. How about y'all take the day to think it over and we all meet at Joe's after shift drinks on us?"
We hear everybody either answer in a yes or sure. It all sounding together due to them answering all at once
"But before we all go we have one more announcement" she brings our hands up flashing off our rings "We're married!!!" She yells out
"Oh about damn time!" Richard says getting up to hug us and congratulate us
"About time you two got your heads out of your asses" Bailey says getting up to give us hugs "but I am still mad at you"
"Alright you guys ify'all are okay to work together for the rest of the day this meeting is over" Richard says
"I'm good they said drinks on them tonight see ya at Joe's" Cristina says getting up to leave the room
"Alright then see everyone at Joe's tonight" Richard says out
As everyone leaves the room I let out a breath and me and Arizona just look at each other
"Well that wasn't too bad" she says shrugging her shoulders
"Oh just wait for tonight" i say
"Well lets get back to work I love you" she says kissing me
"I love you too see you later"
Arizona and I are the first to arrive at Joe's. I guess being back our first days we didn't have as much work as everyone else mostly just paperwork. So here we are sitting waiting for everyone else to join. When we hear
"Alright bitchesssss let's get to drinkinggg" Cristina yells out with Meredith following behind her
"I would apologize for her but y'all already know" Meredith says to us
"It's okay" I say laughing "wheres Derek?"
"He's coming later but thanks for having us or should I say paying for our drinks" she says chuckling
"Oh we're so gonna be broke after" Arizona says
"So my favorite lesbian couple where the hell were y'all?" Cristina blurts out
"I'm sure everybody has alot of questions so lets just wait for everyone to get here so we only have to go through this once" i say and they just shrugtheir shoulders taking their shots of tequila
Once everyone arrived we're all gathered at the table and I tell the whole story to them leaving them all speechless.
They all seem pretty okay with it and forgiven and happy for us except for Mark. Who as soon as I was finished the story got up to go order himself another drinkand I decide to follow him.
"Torres don't even start. Your not off the hook that easily" he says turning to me as he sees me approaching
"Oh come on Mark you're my best friend besides Arizona" i say nudging his shoulder
"Exactly! So i should have known!" He says slamming down his drink
"Mark nobody knew! Not even Arizona! Did you not listen to what I was saying?!It was for everyones protection it was the best thing I could think to do at the timebut look it all worked out I got the girl and I'm back here"
"Yea i guess but it's still not fair" he says pouting
"Awwww did you miss me?!"
"always Torres like you said i'm your best friend"
"So we good now?"
"Ahhh yea sure Torres"
"Alright bring it in" i say pulling him into a hug
I never would have thought walking away all those years ago everything would turn out this way. I got my life back. The girl of my dreams, my dream job, the best friends that a girl can ask for. All of my dreams came true and I'm super thankful for it all.
