Impa closed her eyes as she leaned back against the wall. They had rigged up a couple of the ore transportation trucks to have seats in the back. Thanks to Autum they were able to disable the auto drive when they were close and get a driver to take over. She prayed this all would go smoothly. She didn't like the idea of what little planning they had to go on a strike. She knew they only had little time to scout the area once they got there.
They were lucky, they found Rider had a stash of his own weapons in his own room. This gave them a bit more fire power. The Gorons were able to find some of the rare bomb flowers and disabled them so they could be used at a later time. So they had some explosives if they needed to use them.
She knew the others had a longer drive than her group. So they tried to plan out when they needed to leave so they got to the place about the same time. Her group had more time to prep at the city before heading out.
The truck stopped and Impa got to her feet looking at the small group who were with her. Two gorons, two guards and the driver. The other truck was just as small. Opening up the back of the truck she got out looking to the barren land that once was full of trees. Only now buildings of different factories stood. She pulled out binoculars that Autum had given her looking out to the one where the weapons were being made.
Ashei walked up next to Impa. "What's wrong?" She asked her. She could tell by Impa's expression something was off. She looked over to the building they were going to try to take over.
"Seems quiet. I don't see much motion either." Impa spoke up. She had a bad feeling about all of this. She pulled out Rider's phone checking it. It was a message from Navi's phone saying go. She looked to Ashei. "Tell the others to get ready. I'm going to get closer to check."
Impa set the binoculars in the truck grabbing a gun. She looked around, no patrols. This all gave her a bad feeling for the others. She couldn't let this drop her guard. She couldn't risk getting captured again by them.
Impa slowly moved to the doors. She knew the windows were too high up to look in. So she had to pray that there weren't alarms on the doors. Slowly she moved to the door opening in. Cracking the door she peered into the building. She pushed the door open as she walked in looking around.
This wasn't good, this was a bad sign. The building was empty. She pulled out the phone calling Navi's phone. "Come on pick up." she snipped as she started to walk around. She gritted her teeth, no answer. She looked back as the others had rushed in. They all clearly distraught at what they saw.
Texting the number, 'They know get out'. She went to the next number calling it hoping for an answer. Impa started pacing, another no answer. She gritted her teeth trying again. This meant they were deep into whatever they were doing to answer. She prayed that the group would be able to pull through whatever trap was waiting there for them.
"Lucus… Calm down." A woman spoke as she walked out to the balcony looking out of her city, the Rito city. She had blonde hair that was braided and she had blue feathers in her hair. She had on a long cape that was covered in different types of feathers.
"You are just freaking out. He probably just drunk and was an ass again." She muttered as she looked out to her prisoners in the city square. In only a couple hours they would be dealt with, she would have no more issues.
"Kandin I am not freaking out. He isn't drunk either! He is dead. I rigged all his cameras to send to MY systems! Put me on speaker and I will send you the footage to your phone. I will show you that he is dead. And that's not the worst of it." Lucus explained to her.
Kandin let out a sigh as she messed with her phone looking at a message appear. She watched the footage, she took note of Ganondorf being there, but who were the others. Though Rider being killed wasn't a loss to any of them.
"Why is this so bad? I mean Rider went off on his own, because he didn't get a triforce. Oh well it's not like they do much without the third piece. He was probably too drunk to recognize that it was Ganondorf from the endless partying he does."
"The issue is the woman who killed him." Lucus explained as he sent her another photo. "Do you recognize her?" It was Autum speaking at the gate when she was asking for an audience with Rider.
Kandin studied the photo, didn't recognize the woman. She let out a sigh. "No… I doubt it's one of his ex-girlfriends. She looks too much out of his league. So go ahead and tell me who."
"You don't!? Before we robbed that DP station her face was everywhere! We were making fun of her cause she dressed like a man to hide her identity super cliche! That is Black Ash the assassin!" Lucus yelled out.
Kandin stared at the phone. "Why the hell is she here?" She snapped as she started to walk into her room. She set her phone on her bed as she started to grab some of her belongings.
"Took a bit to try to back track how she might have a connection here. The person who had helped her escape the DP, well that is the bastard we have been looking for. Hyrule's great Hero, it seems he's the reason why the DP even had information about Hyrule. He is probably pulling a favor for her to bring here."
"Some hero, getting an assassin to fight his own war." Kandin muttered she zipped her bag. "You heading this way?" She spoke as she picked up her phone. She wasn't going to stay here for this assassin to get here.
"Yes, make sure you leave the back way. She is on her way up, sounds like their plan is she is going to scout out the place first. After that send the rest of their group up after you. I do have a plan of my own." Lucus trailed off.
Kandin hosted her bag over her shoulder. She looked around her room and shook her head. "Better be a damn good plan. Because reports said she escaped out of a high security prison. She would be alot of trouble for us here. We can't underestimate her and the other outsider. He looks to be a demon, so who knows what type of strength he has. He probably only trouble if he is with that assassin." She spoke up as she walked down the hall to find her second in command. She would need to give her final orders to her 2nd in command.
"Well I have a couple of plans. You will enjoy the first plan, I thought it was a bit creative. If that doesn't work well there is brute force from there. Worse case we bail to the others." Lucus rattled on to her.
"Oh a plan I might like?" Kandin chuckled as she stopped outside of a door. "I'll see you in ten to fifthteen. Then you can explain whatever plans you got." She hung up and walked into the room to talk with her second in command.
Lucus looked at his monitors. One of them was Impa's group at the weapons factory. Part of him thought about rigging it up to explode with the group. But he knew that Balt wouldn't mind a little more action in his 'fake' rivalry as he put it. Only reason they allowed the rebels to live was because they thought it was entertaining the natives were still trying to fight back.
His eyes trailed to another monitor. There were the others with Autum's little group. He had rigged up as many cameras as he could in the area to keep Kandin safe. Also to give her a heads up on any of the rebels who kept coming back.
He would wait till the three headed off to execute what plan they had. From there he would put his own plan into action. He would find out what type of Hero this Link was from his plan.
"Overview display. How close to first target?" Autum spoke up from under her helmet. It started to display numbers as well as a target showing up in the visor of the helmet. The helmet spoke up telling her the distance as well. "Auto drive." Autum spoke up as she pulled out her gun knowing even with the aid of the visor, she was on a fast moving object, she was grateful the targets wouldn't be moving so it still be easier to hit.
The first target came up fast but she hit it no issues. One by one she hit each of the cameras. Getting to the top, she looked around the small city, she veered to the left heading down an alley.
Most of the houses didn't even have walls. It seemed that with all the technology the Rito used it more to enhance how they lived than embracing it completely to change their whole lifestyle. The alleyway was empty and the houses sat up higher so she wouldn't be seen.
Stopping the bike she got off pushing a couple things. Grabbing her gun and putting it in her hoster. She started to walk down the alley. She was going to make her way behind the houses and see what she could find out.
Pausing as she heard some voices down the alley when it turned. She walked up slowly and turned looking down the alleyway. There were two lizalfos who had an old rito who had blue feathers against a wall. He looked to be human but his legs were bird-like. He had random feathers that seemed to be in his hair.
"Let him go!" A young rito girl yelled out. She had dark purple feathers that had white markings on them coming from her reddish brown hair. She had on a tattered dress on. She looked only to be 7 or 8, she was holding a pipe.
"Run off little girl." One of the lizalfos laughed as he moved his blade to the old man. He grinned. "The queen doesn't like the elderly. As they slow down things." he licked his lips. "So we are going to get rid of you so the queen doesn't have to see you anymore."
"I said let him go!" The girl yelled out as she held out her arms and her long flight feathers came out. She knew that they should catch their attention. She watched both of their attention locked on her. "Run now!" she yelled out to the old man as she got ready to attack the lizalfos. She needed to at least give him time to get out of the alley.
"She still has her wings get her!" one of the lizalfos yelled as he charged the young rito girl. She stepped aside and used the pipe to trip him. She looked to the other lizard man and she swung hard at his gut. She watched him wretch over.
Turning she jumped to fly off, but one of them grabbed her foot. She kicked hard at him. She didn't have the force of her wings to make enough wind to knock him back. She let out a cry as he slammed her into the wall.
The lizard man pulled off an arm brace from his belt. He walked up to her as she tried to get to her feet. When he grabbed her arm, her flight wings shock back to protect them. He snapped the brace onto her arm.
The girl screamed out trying to pull herself free as he grabbed another arm brace. She knew if she got caught now she would lose her wings. She kicked him hard, but no luck. "Let go!" she screamed out.
Autum watched the girl struggle debating if she should intervene or not. This girl seemed to be a troublemaker, so she should have information she needed. Also it won't hurt to make a little bit more noise. She smirked at least the girl had spirit fighting even with lizalfos who clearly were much larger than her.
Firing a shot into the lizard man's shoulder. "Back the fuck up." Autum snapped as she started to walk towards them. She watched the one she shot back up from the girl dropping the other arm brace he had.
The girl ran up to Autum. She stumbled some and looked at Autum who had her short sword on her back. The girl pulled out the blade and stepped back holding the blade. She stepped back a couple. She had no clue who this woman was, clearly an outsider. Maybe the queen here decided to hire outsiders to take care of the uprising issue here.
"What the hell do you want?! She is to come with us, she is breaking the law." The uninjured one yelled back at Autum.
"I don't give a shit… You need backup if you want her. So run off before I decide I want to shoot to kill." Autum watched the two scurry off. Hopefully that will start some of the guards heading out this way. Turning to look at the girl.
The rito girl backed up holding the sword pointed at Autum. "What do you want, outsider?" She questioned Autum. She knew that she had no chance against the gun but she couldn't risk being caught. She already lost one of her wings thanks to the device.
Standing her ground as she watched Autum approaching. "Stay back or I'll swing!" She yelled out but it didn't stop Autum from approaching. When Autum got in range she swung. Her heart stopped as Autum stopped the blade with her hand, but how?
Autum looked at the blade she had stopped with the part of her hand that was metal. "Come on, let's see if I can get that off your arm, then you answer a couple of questions for me." She slowly moved the blade away and walked past the girl. "You can keep the blade if it will make you feel safe."
Autum was going to use the girl to get information. Possibly get a strategy on what to do. She glanced back as the girl was slowly following behind. Walking up to the bike she started to mess with it. She pulled out a side compartment with some tools in it. Pulling out a couple of tools she pushed it back in.
"What do you want?" The rito demanded. She held the sword tight as Autum walked up to her. She watched Autum bend down next to her. She pointed the sword at Autum.
"Information, simple. I believe you can give me what I want since you seem to be a vigilante." Autum chuckled. "So if you let me see that device on your arm"
"They said only the queen and her second in command can take these off… which then leads to.. Your wings being removed." She looked at Autum who held out her hand for the girl's arm. She is still not sure what information he could even get to this woman.
"Then it's not going to hurt to let me try to remove it." Autum looked at her hoping to her trust by removing it. Looked like a simple device even with what tools she had, she should be able to remove it.
The girl eyed Autum still not sure if she could trust her. Holding the sword with her left hand she moved her right arm to Autum. She watched Autum start to use the tools on it.
"Are you here to save the men in the middle of the city?" She worked up to ask as she looked at Autum. She winced as Autum pulled her arm some.
"What did the men do?" Autum asked her as she switched tools. If they are out in public display it meant that they would be a good distraction. Sounded like she just found what she needed.
"They are rebels who attacked. They are going to execute them later today…." She spoke quietly. There was a snap and then there was a thud. Looking at her arm the device was gone. She stared at Autum. "H-how?"
Autum chuckled, it seemed she found her distraction. She looked at the girl. "Simple I'm better than the dam queen." She smirked as she pulled out her phone text to the group to head up ¾ of the way and wait for my text. She didn't notice the notifications from Impa, she was busy getting this into action. Glancing at the girl who kicked the device away.
"Can you show me the quickest route to the city square?" Autum asked her. She watched the girl hold the sword back to her nodding.
Autum took her sword back sheathing it. It seemed she won the girl's trust. She walked over grabbing her helmet from the bike. She had a feeling it would be useful. She followed after the girl. "Do you know where the 'queen' is currently holding residence here? And does she leave when the rebels attack?" She asked as she followed the girl.
"The large building that overlooks the city square. No usually she likes to come out and mock who ever gets captured." The girl explained. "I'm Kira." The girl looked back at Autum smiling. Autum nodded, "Autum" she replied to the girl.
Kira was grateful for what Autum had done. It wasn't far, even with this being the largest of the five plateaus it's still a small city. She paused near the exit looking out to the square.
Autum the city was small so it was easy to see everything in the city square. She looked to the center where there was a pillory with a rito and a hyrulian in it side by side. It seemed that they were still using some old ways. Which was good for her to free them. Though it seemed there were a lot of guards. She could assume this was because of what she had done. So they probably were expecting someone to try to save these two. She smirked, this was exactly what she needed.
"I want to help" kira looked up at Autum. "I won't get caught. If you don't I'll just follow you. So tell me what I need to do'' she spoke sternly.
Autum smirked, kid had some guts or was just stupid. "Why don't you run off to your parents?" She glanced at Kira hoping not to have to deal with the child. She started to count how many guards she could see. Looked like 10 so far.
Kira looked out to the guards. "I have none… I have been living on the streets for a few years. So how are we doing this?" She questioned Autum.
Autum didn't look at her, a child of war. She pulled out her phone typing on it, confirming to the others that the target is where they thought she would be. Pulling out a small tool from her belt she walked up to Kira.
Kira looked at her as Autum bent down in front of herself. She looked at the small pen like device she held to her. She watched Autum point it to the ground.
"Pay attention close." Autum spoke as she pushed a button and a beam came out cutting into the ground. "This will cut anything it hits so you need to be careful. It has a very short range. It should be enough to cut those two out of those pillory." She explained to Kira.
"You goal will be avoid the guards and get to them. Then cut them out using this device. You will have to help guide them to safety. Once you are clear near the buildings I need you to yell out that you are clear so I can use an explosive. Can you do that?" Autum asked her as she held up the device to her.
Kira took it nodding. She looked to the helmet that Autum held up to her. "Do you know what a smoke bomb does?" She watched the girl shake her head. Autum explained it the best she could and explained that the helmet would allow her to see in the smoke.
Autum put the helmet on her. "Can you see?" When she nodded Autum pushed a button on the side. Getting to her feet she texted the group go. She pulled out the smoke bombs she had rolling them out to the guards.
Once the smoke filled the air Autum told Kira to go. Autum pulled out the short blade and darted into the smoke. She would have to rely on her hearing and remembering where the guards were foe this to work.
Celtic let out a sigh as they sat on the bikes waiting for the 2nd text. He glanced back at Link who clearly had his mind somewhere else. "Don't worry, I promise we will be able to help her Link." Celtic spoke quietly as he looked at his phone waiting.
Ganondorf looked off the plateau as he ran the route through his head. It was a small city so they would hit the building in minutes with the bikes. The big thing is getting inside, hopefully she kept more of the main structure that the Rito's use. That would be less walls to worry about and should be easy to find her..
"Let's go!" Celtic yelled out as he got the message. He could feel Link grab onto him. Watching Ganondorf drive off and he followed in pursuit. At least it seems Autum figured a target that should cause enough distraction.
Ganondrof winced as smoke could be seen in the city. He shook his head as he continued through his route. Even with the small hints of the smoke, their path was at least clear. His guess she had some sort of smoke bombs and used it to do who knows what.
Sliding to a stop next to the build he got off his bike. He paused as he heard an explosion. What by the goddesses was she doing? He looked back at Celtic who clearly was ignoring it, but Link was clearly looking towards the sound.
"Come on, she isn't going to kill any of the Rito." Celtic spoke up as he started to head towards the back of the building. He was studying it trying to find the best way up. "Link, I have a gun in my bag, grab it out." He yelled out.
Link shook his head out of his stare. He prayed Celtic was right and she wasn't hurting any of the innocent bystanders. Walking up to Ganondrof's bike he opened Celtic's bag grabbing the gun and jogging up to him.
Celtic took it aiming it up to a balcony. Firing it off, it shot off a grappling hook. He tugged on it and looked at them. "Hope you can climb." He spoke up as he started to scale the rope.
Link watched Celtic clearly have no issues. Looking at Ganondorf, who nodded for Link to go. Looking back at the rope, he grabbed it and started to go up. He was grateful that Autum always had him training in some way. Made this an easy task.
When he reached the top Celtic helped him up over the railing. "Room is clear" Celtic spoke up as he looked down at Ganondrof who began his ascent. "Check the hall" Celtic looked to Link who nodded.
Link ran up to the door cracking it some. Lizalfos ran past all going to a set of stairs. It was clear Autum did her job of distracting them. He quietly shut the door, rather not wait for the guards to all leave. He knew time wasn't on their side.
Celtic walked up to Link. "How does it look?" He questioned him as he glanced at Ganondorf who joined them.
Link let out a sigh. "Looks like the guards are possibly rallying to entrance, I assume to go to the square." He looked at Celtic who moved up to the door. He opened it slowly. "You both search the other rooms. I will make sure the guards don't head back this way." He headed out to the stairs to follow the guards.
Looking at Ganondorf who clearly didn't seem too confident in Celtic's skills. "Don't worry about him." Link nodded and slowly looked out of the room. The coast was clear, he pointed to the room across. Once Ganondrof confirmed the two of them ran off to search the place for their target.
