Link groaned as he opened his eyes. His body ached from being shocked. He had let his guard down completely. He tried to move his hands, but they were shackled behind himself. He let out a small sigh of defeat.
Looking around the room, he was in an older style cell. Just bars nothing fancy like he had seen over the years. He could see Ganondorf in the cell next to him through the bars. Slowly he used his feet to move back against the wall. He sat up and looked up at the ceiling.
Ganondorf looked over at Link. He shook his head looking down at his own restraints. His hands were shackled together and hooked to the floor. He couldn't even stand with the way they had him shackled. He didn't even know what to say to Link. Hyrule was lost now thanks to him.
The two sat quiet in their cells. Both waiting for wherever they were being taken. Knowing once they arrived Hyrule would fall. Who knows what wish the outsiders would use. From there Autum said they would sell Hyrule to the highest bidder. Meaning there could be a worse fate than what was already here.
Link jumped as he heard a bang. He looked outside of his cell to see where it had come from. His ears went low as he heard it again. A vent outside hit the ground. He leaned over to see if he could get a better view of the vent.
Kira crawled out backwards and landed on the ground. She looked over at the cell at Link glaring at him. She ran over to the next cell where Ganondorf was. She looked to the cell on the other side. She whimpered as she saw the two bodies in there. She looked away as she pulled out the small tool Autum gave her.
Ganondorf stared at the small rito child who had broken in. How on earth did she get here? Did she still have her wings? "W-what are you doing?" The words fell out of his mouth. He didn't expect anyone to come and try to save them.
Kira looked up at Ganondorf. "No one else could fly, so I had to help save Hyrule's last hope, you." She looked at him, using the tool to easily cut the cell open. She ran up to him cutting his shackles freeing him.
Ganondorf rubbed his wrist getting to his feet. He looked over at Link who were watching the two. He needed to come up with a plan, so Hyrule wasn't completely lost. Even if it would end up him sacrificing himself. "Can you fly holding him?" He looked at Kira.
"W-why would I want to take him?! He killed her!" Kira yelled as she pointed at Autum in the other cell. "I can glide down with you! I can take you, not him." she argued with them. She wanted to have nothing to do with Link.
Link used the wall to slowly get to his feet. He looked to where she was pointing and he looked away. They just tossed their bodies in a cell?! He closed his eyes, he couldn't deal with seeing her again.
"Simple, he has Hyrule's last hope with him." Ganondorf spoke up as he bent down in front of her. "He has the last triforce piece. I need you to take him to the true queen of Hyrule. Can you do that for me?"
Kira nodded as she looked down. "What about you?" "I'm going to cause a good enough distraction so you both can get out. So you must be swift on your wings. Go to old castle town." he looked over to Link. "He should show you how to get to the queen from there."
Ganondorf walked up to the cell bars between them. "You go with her, got it. Don't you give her any dam issues. This all is your fault the last thing you can at least do for Hyrule is go with this girl and stay with Zelda." he snapped at him.
Link looked over at Ganondorf. He still had an ace to save Navi here. "I'll go without issue, if I can go see Celtic and A-Autum." his voice cracked as he say Autum's name. He needed to get to Celtic. Who knows what they would do with the bodies. He didn't want Celtic waking up with no explanation of what happened.
Ganondorf listened to his request. He slowly walked out of his cell knowing they didn't have much time. He was sure this rito triggered an alarm or they would look at the cameras to see they were out. "Little one if you can get him out of his cell. Take off his shackles too." Looking at Link. "Make it quick".
Kira followed him out. She slowly walked up to Link's cell. She hated him, she hated the fact that he was Hyrule's hope. She was going to do what Ganondorf said. She overheard Ollin and Basil talking about Ganondorf being one of the rebel leaders. So she would rely on him to help Hyrule.
Kira cut the bars, then proceeded to cut Link's shackles. She watched Link walk out of his cell. It was clear that Link was avoiding eye contact with any of them. Walking out of the cell she watched him stroll up to the cell that was holding the two bodies. She looked away not wanting to think about how he killed Autum.
Link looked at the cell that had Autum and Celtic in it. His heart was broken, he killed her. She wasn't coming back. Looking at Kira. "Can you open this cell?" Link asked her quietly, trying not to break down. He wanted to just scream for his fallen friend. He still hadn't had a chance to mourn her death, it was starting to drain him.
Kira looked back at Ganondorf who nodded. She used the tool to cut the lock off. Slowly she opened the cell to let Link in. Backing up she looked through the bars at Autum. She whimpered a little as she looked at the tool and held it close. Autum had let her play a role in saving her people. She had felt like a hero helping everyone.
Slowly walking up to Autum, he moved her on her back. He was doing everything he could to not break down. It's not what Autum would allow, it was he had to keep telling himself. He had to push through to save Hyrule. It is what she would have wanted right?
Moving his hand to her belt he started to open the small pouches. He pulled out the small medical tool and set it on her as he started to rummage through her other pouches. He needed to hope she still had something that would aid in waking up Celtic.
Pulling out a green vial he looked at it. No label, he didn't recognize it either. Putting it back he opened another one. Pulling out a vial with a white milky liquid on it. He turned it reading the label on it. He would have to pray this would work.
Grabbing the medical tool he tried to put the vial in it, but it seemed there was another in there. Clicking the button an empty unlabel vial fell out. Putting the one he had into the device, he picked up the empty on looking at it. He didn't remember her ever talking about unlabeled vials in her stuff.
Setting it down, he didn't have time to linger on it. He opened another pouch pulling out one that had a clear liquid in it. This would have to do, he knew Celtic would be in pain from waking up. He remembered when Eznik woke him up.
Getting to his feet he walked over to Celtic. His heart raced, how was he going to tell Celtic what he had done? Would Celtic hate him for it? Why didn't Autum just take the drug!? All of this could have been stopped.
Ganondorf watched him closely. He looked down at Kira who had her eyes locked on Autum. He put his hand on her head. He was sure the girl got that device from Autum from the way she was holding it. He was grateful Autum seemed to have given them a small fighting chance still. They would still be able to save the triforce.
Kneeling down next to Celtic. Slowly Link moved his free hand to Celtic's wound. He slowly pulled off the bandage on it. The two had him put bandages on Celtic's and Autum's wounds when he explained Autum's blood was acidic. They didn't want to risk anything. His ears perked, Celtic's wound was healed. This was a good sign right? What about the bullet? He didn't want to think about that one. He slowly flipped Celtic over on his back. He shot Celtic on the side waiting. He shook his head remembering how much it took Eznik to wake him in the morgue.
"Celtic!" Link snapped as he slapped him hard in the face. "Come on." He shook his head, slapping him again. He needed Celtic to get up. They needed all the help they could get. They still had to save Navi. "You need to get up now! We have to save Navi!"
Ganondrof watched Link hit his fallen comrade. He could see the guilt had filled him. Slowly he walked into the cell behind Link. "Link, you can't change what you have done." He spoke quietly. "We need to move before they look at the cameras to see we are out. We need to hurry while we have the upper hand on this."
Link shook his head. "He is alive." Link replied as he shook Celtic. "You shot him in the brainstem, Link. We might not have that advanced tech, but I do know that is a fatal shot." Ganondrof explained to him. Letting out a sigh he reached down and grabbed Link's arm. "We don't have time to waste here." he pulled hard to get Link to his feet.
Link gritted his teeth as Ganondrof pulled at his arm, lifting him easy. His shoulder still ached from being shot. He only got to do basic medical treatment on it. Link looked at him as he was holding back his tears. He pointed at Celtic. "He can't die. He can help us."
Ganondorf studied Link and glanced at Autum. He hasn't mentioned anything about her. Did it mean all of Link's grief was for her? He shook his head. "If he is alive we can't wait for him. We need to act.'' He decided to humor the hero that his friend was alive.
Kira shook her head in horror. What was Link doing!? He had killed Celtic too?! Now he was defiling his body! She couldn't believe Link. He heard Ollin call him the hero of Hyrule from Myths, but no! They were wrong, he was no hero!
"Celtic!" Link snapped as he looked at Celtic. He kicked Celtic in the side. "Wake up! Please, by Nayru!" He winced as Ganondorf started to drag him out of the cell. "You need to leave now." Ganondorf explained. "Come on little rito".
Link tried to get his arm away from Ganondorf. "Please! Celtic! Damit!" he pleaded. "You said you would do this with no issues." Ganondorf snapped. He wouldn't let Link sit and beat on a dead body any more. He needed to get his 'hero' off of this airship now.
Kira looked at the two arguing. She shook her head looking at Celtic who rolled over. She stepped back. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. She let out a whimper, she didn't understand. He was dead right?
Ganondorf heard coughing and looked over at Celtic who had rolled over. He went pale. He didn't believe a word Link had said about the man being alive. Now it made sense why Autum had offered him up as a sacrifice, they knew he couldn't die. He let go of Link so he could help his friend. His eyes trailed to Autum, meaning her death was real. It was why she tried hard to barter her life with them.
Link knelt down next to Celtic who slowly sat up. "Fuck that hurt." Celtic held the back of his neck, closing his eyes. "Shit… do we have any pain killers?" He watched Link hold him a medical gun with a new vial in it. Celtic took it and shot himself in the neck, dropping the small medical tool. Looking at Link who refused to look him in the eyes. Watching Link, he slowly looked in the direction he was looking.
"A-autum?" Celtic cried out crawling up to her. Moving his hand to her cheek, it was cold to the touch. Looking at her chest that was covered in her own blood. His heart wrenched. He closed his eyes trying to fight the immense amount of emotion that filled him. "N-no… no.." Celtic whimpered as he hugged her.
Her body was cold as he held her. This is what he always feared was her death. It's why he had sealed her those years. He only got two years of happiness with her? This didn't seem fair! He never asked for much of anything, all he wanted was her to be ok. Why did the gods take her?
"What happened?" Celtic asked as his voice cracked as he slowly set her on the ground. He looked at Ganondorf and then to Link. He could see the tears running down Link's cheeks.
"S-she refused to be drugged! I made a deal with them! T-they were going to let her live." Link cried out to Celtic. "She just wanted to fight…. And the gun went off.." Link covered his face. "W-why.. Didn't she just take the deal.."
Celtic looked at his friend and then to his wife. He wanted to mourn her death, but he couldn't not now. He couldn't fall now, he had to stand tall like Autum. He would save Navi for Autum. He rubbed his eyes and pushed himself to his feet looking at Ganondorf. He would have to hold onto the disbelief that she was gone to make it through this fight that was coming.. "What do we know about this place?" He spoke, fighting through the mix of emotions he had.
Ganodorf looked at Celtic, he was taking this all better than Link. He didn't want to think about the emotions that Celtic was holding back. "We are on Lucas' airship. Seems all the guards here are robots."
"Link, to your feet." Celtic snapped as he looked at him. Part of him had hate for Link for what he had done. But then could he blame him? Autum was the one who refused a deal and ended up dead cause of it. "You need to get whatever emotions out of your system if we are going to get out of here and save Navi. Got it?"
Link looked up at Celtic. He could hear the anger in his voice which was rare for Celtic. His ears went low, he didn't know how he would ever mend this friendship. He looked to Autum. She was gone and he had done it. How could Celtic lock up these emotions of grief over his wife dying? What more his friend had killed her.
"Link, the last thing Autum would want is us crying over her death. She would be pissed at us. She would want us to kill these bastards, got it? They are the ones who put this all into action." Celtic spoke sternly. It was what was going to keep himself from breaking down. He knew after the bastard was dead, he was going to fall hard. He would have to pray he could even pick himself up to finish saving Hyrule, for Autum. He knew that is what she would want, him to help Link.
Link looked to Celtic who held his hand out to him. Taking his hand he was pulled to his feet. He had to face what he had done. But right now he needed to save Navi, so Autum's death wouldn't be for nothing.
Ganondorf shook his head. "No, we need to get him off of this airship. I will not let them take the triforce." He spoke up. "This little rito can fly him down. He then can head to the queen." Ganondrof explained to Celtic.
Celtic shook his head. "We need everyone here to fight. We have to take down this airship. Lucas has eyes on everything. If we can take him down now. We will start eliminating what advantages they have."
Ganondorf glanced away. He didn't like this, they didn't have weapons. What more if any of them take a direct shock from one of those robots they would be down for the count. They were at a disadvantage here. "The moment things look like we are losing. Link bails with her." He explained.
Celtic looked at Kira and then to Link, nodding. "Fine. Hopefully he won't need to." Celtic needed to think of a plan, this guy just used robots right? "Are our bikes here?" Celtic questioned him. He looked at Ganondrof who shrugged, he didn't know what they had done with them.
"They are here." Kira spoke up. "I saw the bikes out on the deck still. When I snuck aboard." She wanted to help here. She wanted to be part of this battle. She would help save Hyrule.
"Good. If we can get to them, there is a small emp in Autum's bag we can use on the ship. If we are lucky the robots are low grade and will be useless. We will do the same thing to them that they did to you." Celtic explained as he looked at Ganondorf.
"I could sneak out and get it." Kira walked into the cell up to Celtic. "I'll go and use this emp thing if you explain it to me." She was hoping he would give her the chance to help, like Autum did.
"She snuck in here through the vents." Ganondrof looked at Celtic. "Might be our best bet. If we can stay in the smaller rooms it will be easier for us to combat these robots. They had some sort of shock device on them, this way we can make sure they don't get behind us."
Celtic smiled at Kira, he was grateful for her help. He bent down next to her. "Kira, Autum trusted you before, so I know you're reliable. Ok, Autum's bag is solid black. Mine will have a white strip on the bottom of it. You will want to get into her bag and you are looking for something about this size." He held out his hands trying to show her how big it was. "It will be silver and has a small screen on it." He was doing his best to describe it.
Celtic looked at Link who held out his own phone to him. "Pull up a picture of it might be easier." Link spoke quietly as he watched Celtic take his phone. He looked at Ganondorf and then slowly walked out of the cell. He couldn't stay in there, he was going to keep looking at Autum and tear himself apart from it.
Kira looked at the screen and listened to Celtic as he explained how to use it. Kira explained it back to him slowly to make sure she understood his instructions. "Ok." Kira looked at Celtic got to his feet.
Celtic looked at Kira as she held the tool that Autum had given her to him. Celtic smiled weakly to her. "Keep it. She gave it to you for a reason. You might need it as well." Celtic patted her on the head. The girl was brave, he was sure that Autum liked the kid if she had her helping out. "Go on, Kira."
Celtic watched her run off to the vent. He walked up to Autum bending down. He opened up one of the pouches pulling out a small sphere. It seemed she had one explosive left. He would have to burn it here. It would hopefully give Kira time to get to the bikes.
Celtic moved his hand to Autum's cheek looking at her. He would make sure that she got a proper burial. He would have to ask Eznik for help on it. He wanted to make sure he did right for her. He glanced at Link, he wouldn't let his emotions for him blind him.
Celtic moved his hand to her back pulling out her blade. He knew they needed whatever weapons they could use. Pushing himself to his feet, he needed to drop his feelings now. This was the hardest of all the times he had to. He learned a long time ago how to, but this one it was tearing so hard at his heart.
Walking up to Ganondrof holding Autum's blade to him. "I don't use swords." He smiled weakly at him. "Use it." Looking at Link who clearly looked defeated. He walked up to Link and held out Link's phone to him.
Link looked at the phone slowly taking it. He jumped a little as Celtic put his hand on Link's shoulder. "Get out your sword and get your mind ready to fight. We will have to be fast on our feet now." Celtic spoke up as he walked away from him to the door.
Celtic lend against the wall against it. His body was aching, his heart breaking. He was trying to pull himself together for this fight. He knew this was going to get messy. He prayed that the emp would work.
Watching Celtic he looked to his hand.. He closed his eyes praying his sword would still come to him. He didn't feel like much of a hero at all. Would it deny him now? He could feel his blade in his hand. Looking at the master sword, part of him felt like he didn't deserve to hold this blade.
His eyes trailed back to Ganondorf who had his eyes locked on the blade. Looking away, "Autum taught me how to summon it." He spoke quietly trying not to let his voice crack. He held the blade tight knowing he would fight to get Navi free.
Ganondorf watched Link hold the master sword. He never knew the blade could be summoned. From all of his other lives, he didn't recall it being able to. It was clear, Link still was the hero of legend even with everything he had done. The blade came to his aid when he called it.
Looking back at Link and Ganondorf he nodded. Twisting the orb he opened the door, throwing it out. He pulled the door close and moved away from it. He could feel tears running down his cheeks. He was going to have to do this without her.
He could hear the explosion and he turned to the door running out. He needed to go as fast as he could. He knew robots could be resilient and this was going to be the small upper hand they got.
