Arizona's Pov
Does she really wants me to be dead?
"Good Afternoon everybody, now the Gala last week has been a huge hit. We have a lot of donations for every department. Now I'm going to announce the amount every department has obtained. We have gathered more than 50 million dollars because of the fundraiser. And we will use it for the development of the hospital." Richard started while all the departments heads, board members, alex karev, and april kepner have gathered in the conference room.
"How long will this freaking meeting will be. I want to get out of here." I said to myself. My mind has been drifting to the letter inside my lab coat
"Now let's start with the announcements. I know a lot of you wants to know who is the most earned department… so let's start first with the least department.. Pediatrics Department… They have hit the goal but they almost didn't. Care to explain?"
"Robbins.. pst Robbins." Alex is trying to get my attention he got it though by shaking my shoulders
"What's your problem ?" I said while snapping at him. Then he just shrugged and points at Dr. Webber
"Oh… I-I'm sorry what.. what did you said?" I said while stuttering
"I said would you explain why your department almost did not hit the goal?"
"Oh, umm, I was.. no, I... I can't be there." I said while making myself look like a fool in front of everyone.
"Care to make more words Dr. Robbins?"
"Yes, I'm sorry… there can't be two Arizona Robbins in the GALA because half of the people in the thinks I'm dead so if they see me walking around alive and breathing they won't donate anything. So I went somewhere else so that people won't see me. So you're welcome by the way" I said the last sentence sarcastically and in one breath
I can feel her eyes on me but I forced myself to never look at her direction because it will only make my heart break even more.
"What are you talking about Robbins!? You are not dead." Dr. Webber said
"Yow, Roller-girl what are you talking about?" Cristina said while looking at me like I have gone crazy or something
"Can we just please continue with the meeting.. please?" I said trying to stop them from talking about what I have said
"Dude, what are you talking about. I thought you went away because you're tired." Alex said
"Drop it Karev" I said, alex looking a bit stunned because the only time I call him Karev or Dr. Karev is infront of the patients.
"Ok" alex mumbling in response
Dr. Webber announced the amount of donation every department has collected "Now it's tome for the most earned department which is.. the Orthopaedic Department!"
Everyone clapped their hands and congratulate Callie for bringing a ton of money for the hospital. Whoo-hoo this is so fun! Congratulations!
"What the hell! How much?! I tried to make the old man drink with me and I flirted with that rich guys and it didn't even worked! Dang it! What did you do cal?" Cristina said while Meredith is shaking her head because of her tequila-minded friend
"I-umm-thank you I guess" Callie said while taking the congratulations she's receiving
"No, seriously callie what did you do? I tried to make it the Avery-way of getting donations but it turns out the Torres-way is way better than the method I used" Jackson said while laughing a little with his own word play.
"Tell everyone that your wife is dead" I mumbled solely to myself but alex heard me
"What did you say!? Arizona what happened?" Alex said while standing abruptly.
"Dr. Karev sit down. And don't shout at me!" I said while looking straight at his eyes
"I don't have to explain anything to you. Sit down!"
"Arizona, please calm down." April said while patting my back then I thanked her with a small smile. I somehow think that my friendship with april will bloom into a beautiful relationship but somehow I remember my letter
I hate this feeling I can feel callie. I can feel her eyes are on me. I can feel that her beautiful brown eyes are now filled with unshed tears but I push the feeling of wanting to comfort her. She wished I was dead… no she wanted me gone. She doesn't get comfort from me.
"Okay now that I already announced the results of the donation do you have anymore questions or reactions?" Dr. Webber said while looking at everyone when no one said a peep he continued "Okay so now that everybody has no questions you can now go and do your job."
And with that I quickly got up and went to my department. Today I'm going to avoid everyone at all cost. I'm going to lock myself in my office today until I talk to Dr. Webber. I entered my office and looked around for a whole minute it was empty my desk my walls even my coffee table is empty.
