The Fortunate Ones
Chapter Eighteen: Blessed Are the Damned
Time is a curse created and manifested by man.
Unknown location (Some Underworld/Hell base)
(Author's POV)
Flames danced around the molten lava. Cries of agony replaced one another each time one was silenced forever. Welcome to the gates of Tartaros. Gathered all around were mixtures of the worst kind of scum in all of existence… The Damn nation. Demons, devils, fallen of vast amounts of nations, throughout all of time. Armies of endless souls who've past in every major conflict the mortal realm has ever given light to.
Rows of these beings lined the sides of what appears to be a greeting yard. Armored guards follow suit on pairs of two per side every so mount of yards evenly. As a portal opens at the very beginning of the great red walkway of the gates, the crowd gathered is silenced. All eyes aim at the new portal as five figures slowly walk through, four of them carrying- pulling chains that lead the one in the middle.
A slow walk, the five of them make their way through the gates and further down towards a ruined structure that resembles a medieval castle. As they take a few minutes to finally reach the castle, they stand firm as their prisoner takes a sigh, knowing full well he isn't getting out of this one. The Four Horsemen got him at his weakest moment just after his three wives in a sense took his own life force as they are now carrying their offspring. Vindel… The warrior known for breaking all the barriers ever put in front of him. The dragon prince who fought the strongest beings in existence and nearly won…
The Four Horsemen, the ones known to bring the apocalypse to the world whenever it was needed a cleansing, are the four who are guiding Vindel now to their one true master.
"Raise your head, Prince Vindel." An old crusty voice said from the throne in front of the group.
Not being given an option thanks to having his neck chained, he looked up at the figure that commanded all the forces around him. To say the voice that had such command behind it was worth listening to, that would be something that would turn the hearts of most of the SINS family. Vindel grunted a bit as he was elbowed in the ribs, one of which broke courtesy of nearest horseman to his side.
"Obey his command!" They hissed in unison, clearly as one entity.
All they got however was a silent frown. So the most natural thing of course was ministered: another jab to the ribs on the opposing side from the ladderial horseman. This one had a good sign which made them grin to a degree, Vindel bit down, blood clearly showing he was in pain.
A quick raise of their masters hand however silenced their actions as they lowered their heads. The skeleton like beings in an ancient armor similar to that of what the SINS family wore seemed to be almost robotic in nature. Yet just like most who stood before their master, they were powerless to his word. Another wave of the hand, and the four guards stood up and took to their normal positions: two of them on either side of Vindel while the other two went by the entrance and closed the doors, then taking their held at its sides.
"Now Vindel. I assure you know exactly why you were brought before me, yes?" The old voice asked as though it was slightly humorous. Clearly he knew the answer already but still it seemed to be enjoyable to go about his little game he had prepared.
Vindel this time when asked decided to stand up. He lifted his head and with a slight grin he looked at the old being before him. His eyes glued to his captor who seemed to have leaned forward to hear his response.
"Well, I think I know… But I'm not to sure." He said with an honest atmosphere around him. "However to see that everything that women set in motion would carry this far is nothing short of a calamity." He took a pause. "To say you still being alive is shocking… Not at all. I knew for a fact you weren't dead from our last encounter. Your brothers and even your son died at my hands that day." He said with joy and glee which only made the host close his lips as he waited to hear the rest of what the crown prince had to say.
"I see you got new horse men as well now… A shame the others were too weak." He peaked at the new ones, each of them galring heated daggers at him, just waiting for him to insult them further. "I do have to say I miss what's his name... ?" One of the guards seem to move their hands to their sword at their side. "Oh yeah, Rino. He was a blast… Should've taken my advice and kept his head down... " Vindel let out a chuckle as one of the guards went for his throat just for the blade to reach his neck just above his choker.
Luckily so, the remaining 3 guards restrained their companion who wanted nothing more than Vindel's head cleaved off his shoulders. He grinned, he knew all too well who the new horsemen were, after all he basically gave them the job after killing their predecessors.
"Oh shocker… I pissed off his little sister." He glared down at her before rolling his eyes in distaste.
"YOU PIECE OF FILTH! After all we've been through! You up and kill them! You kill our brothers! No you slaughtered them like the mad beast you are!" She continued to fight off her now identified sibblings off. "We were close together! We did everything together! WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU KILL RINO!?"
"Hmm I assume that whatever I say will be denied so I'll put out this farce here and now you damn vixen." Vindel moved his mouth to the sword and with a quick bite, shattered it like glass.
The little action silenced any movement from the four horsemen who took a few moments to return to their original spots once more. Vindel turned back towards the one in their throne.
"So, you had someone watching me in my private time with my mates… In our sacred mating ritual for our family… Truly you knew this would be the only chance you'd ever get to capture me, let alone still exist in this plane of existence." This got a glem coming from the man's golden eyes.
"It is true that thanks to your own fally we were able to abduct you and take you captive. When you've lived in the shadows for so long dirty tactics seem to be the only thing you can get by with. Deciding to have three mates at the same time while doing exactly what your family creed is, was just such a good opening that I'd be a fool to pass it up. Not to mention that battle you had with your younger brother brought you down drastically from what you once were." The Man rose from his throne and slowly walked down to the main floor in front of Vindel, staring evenly into each others eyes.
"I wouldn't say I'm the only one who's far weaker than what they used to be… Yet unlike your old frail ass, I'm gaining my power back and I will eventually succeed as my own Dragon God. My own legacy not shadowed by someone else's work."
"Hmm." He took a breath as he leaned up to the ceiling of his castle. "Have word be sent to our friends. You know exactly what to write down." He seemed to be talking out into the open and directly to anyone. However a quick shiver flew over head and thru a window above the main door. "The level of beings down here have not changed much since our last encounter, however thanks to that father of yours nearly your entire clan rests down here now." He laughed now turning to face Vindel.
"So what's a bunch of rejects and traitors gonna do for you? They were killed once before and if you think they'll be useful against us yo-! Wait." Vindel stopped short, almost as if he had seen a terrifying event take place before him. "You… You plan on using them to start another war with the factions… Causing an upset that no other side could hope to match…"
"Ahh.. There's the brains in your head." He laughed as he patted Vindel on the shoulder. "Yes that is very much my plan. To start a war with forces of your own creation. All who oppose will just fall as anyone else who has ever faced the SINS empire before has. Hundreds of dragons, fallen angels, devils alike with even more demons following will be at my command thanks to Vader."
"You son of a bitch-! You know darn well the very I went missing the rest of my family is on the hunt for me along with who's ever blood it is that took me! You will not get away with this!" He growled, nearly having the heavy piece of chanted metal break at his neck which did not go unnoticed.
"Guards!" The man called, "Bring this fool to the pits below, make sure to have some of his old friends greet him warmly." He turned back to this throne and walked back up to it. "And make sure to increase the amount of seals you put on his collar." He barked angrily.
With not another word from Vindel, the four guards took him to the side and out the throne room. No doubt he'd want to fight his way out but as it currently stood no one else could manage holding him back and he was helpless when outnumbered by the four of them. Fighting now would only ruin any chance he has at getting free and back to his family.
The Old God took another breath. He was fighting against the most powerful beings in all of this plane of existence. The anger he displayed at the dismissal of his captive was only a front of how much he feared the prince. No doubt what strength he was currently at was nowhere near his peak, at least not the same level as the last time they fought. He looked at his hand, it trembling at the thought of fighting Vindel once more. Truly even now they'd most likely kill each other only do to the fact they were both considerably weakened and by a huge margin.
With a few moments that have gone by, a shiver once more returned to the man, landing in front of him coming out of his cloak like ability. A raven looking person, similar to that of a Tengu kneeled before him in an average looking scout-knight uniform. Folding his wings back, the animal like features retracted back to just wings on the males' back.
"Word as been delivered to the Fallen gods and satan faction my lord. Their responses were clear and eager to move forward upon your very word."
"You moved fast young tengu. Truly that yokai clan of yours wasn't boasting about your stealth and speed for nothing. You will do well as its next head."
"Thank you my liege. I am just a soldier doing his duty on behalf of his clan. I am not worthy of your praise." The younger male said, clearly showing much respect for his respected lord.
"Nonsense, you may rise young one. I do not wish to look down on those who are loyal to me. I see them as my arms and limbs. You are each useful to me and as a whole we are a body which the others will all see deserves their attention." He motioned for the tengu boy to stand up. "I wish you a good and healthy trip back to your home. Make sure you all eat well and get ready for the surface war. The humans as we all know have greatly enhanced their skills and weaponry. Not to make lite of the fact the large superpowers that reign over most of the human world. Truly your home would not like to face another threat that will undoubtedly be the end of your homeland."
"That is very true my lord. I thank you as I will now take my leave." The tengu began to walk down the stairs from the throne and turned around; about face, and saluted the lord. "May our forces bring glory to our new world order! May Lord Hiels bring justice to the new world!" He then did another about face and took flight out the same window as he did before.
Hiels smiled as he knew all too well he had the unyielding loyalty of the young youkai and his clan. Just within the past few years the fallen God of death and hate had brought chaos to the world: both the human and higher being realms. Forming little faction parties within each faction and country. At the current level of his own power which he was only hiding from his followers and servants, he still lacked most of his power from when he was actively among his brethren and fellow gods. The new and current horsemen are nearly equal to what half of what his normal level of strength would be, seem to be his best bet to keeping the undeniable threat locked up.
Thankfully to his own pleasure, Vader nearly handed him an unstoppable army consisting of the passed SINS forces that betrayed the family. Some of which would also be good restrictions at keeping Vindel busy down below in the pits. All that mattered now is how the other pieces would play in this chess game.
X_X (Elsewhere, SINS Estates Japan 1 hour later)
The estate was still ablaze despite the never ending downpour from the black clouds above. Lightning continued to strike all around, hitting buildings all around the town with not even the grounding holding a chance of protecting fire damage. The humans ran around where they could, truly most calming the storm was the end of their world.
Even those of the supernatural world could do little to regain back the force of nature, all caused by Cynders emotions. Vader was nowhere to be found, no doubt dealing with this in his own way which despite how much the family hated it, was better off for the entire world, yet let it be consumed…
"So tell me, are you sure he can be trusted?" Elle asked. "After seeing how loyalty these days is scarce… I don't believe someone especially from their side would all of a sudden turncoat before midgame."
"I assure you that I mean no disrespect and no ill will towards y-" The young male was cut off as a firmed grip grasped his head from above, heat and pressure applied.
"It would be best for you to remain silent for now. My family doesn't take kindly to what has been going on these past few days." A different voice spoke up, not from his beholder though.
Gulping as fear began to clearly show on the young man's face, he shut his mouth and quit his squirming as the pressure on his head loosened slightly.
"I do think you should let him go little brother." The oldest daughter Sarah said as she crossed her arms while keeping her eyes closed, no doubt having an internal struggle on the inside. "Granted this tengu came to us to inform us of a large scale betrayal to the entire yokai world which undoubtedly will not be easy to deal with precisely."
Dante did as his oldest sister said, but kept him close in front of him. As all the siblings were in their dragon-knight forms: easiest way to bottle up their current rage without destroying anything of value.
"Where's the twins?" Astrea asked, looking for them with angered, bloody tears still raining down her helmet, burning the ground as it made contact.
"They're dealing with the youngsters currently. Seems more are starting to wake up… No doubt due to the sudden shaking and pained cries from our family." Elle grunted. "I really want to hurry up, as it stands right now… Sarah I want you to take command as the eldest one here."
"Say no more…" Sarah said opening her eyes. "With our parents out of the picture currently, I will assume the mantle of our Clans SIN, and take charge as we deal with our foes here and now."
Luckily their aunts and uncles were holding Cynder back from causing more damage on a much larger scale- one that would undoubtedly destroy the earth.
"We don't need much, just with this kid here," eyes all went to the Tengu boy who stood up straight in the middle of the gigantic dragonknights. "He will lead us to Yasaka and the rest of the higher ups of the yokai society. Knowing how our family has ties with Yasaka, she will let us act in her territory as we see fit. We will route out as many traders as we can and then head to the underworld." Elle said cracking her neck.
"Once there, anyone who would stand against our conquest will cease to exist." Sarah said, turning to face male dragon among them."Dante, you have a few minutes to inform Rias' peerage. I would suggest we have Akeno and Jessica stay back with them. Akeno as she is the least one of us stained by blood shed. Granted she is growing stronger rapidly and will reach Jessica's current strength in a few years."
"You need not worry," Akeno said walking behind her husband. "I will stay here to protect Rias and the others." She placed her hand within Dantes who grasped it gently. "I'm sure with Jessica here as well, nothing will happen to us." Akeno smiled understanding exactly how the family felt as she was now among their blood.
Jessica made it clear that she was more than cooperative, leading Akeno and Dante towards Issei's house. Turning around once they made it to the gate, the three nodded just for Sarah to add her last statement.
"Make sure to hurry it up to. Make it short because I know that with the Cerberus squad currently healing and nursing their wounds, we are left with the rest of the elite guards. We don't have an endless army anymore…" Sarah admitted sadly.
With all that said, everyone went their own ways, agreeing that once they were done with their tasks, to meet back up home. The young tengu however went to the front door and sat down on one of the benches lining either side of the doors. Taking a deep breath, all he had to do now was lead the most destructive family through the clan district and not send off any alarms to the traitors.
"So tell me tengu..?"
"Oh yes, my name is Rylo. My apologies Lady Elle." He bowed his head receiving a grin from the dragoness.
"Don't worry about formalities for now. Unlike our parents, we kids don't tend to like the royal titles as it over shadows us individually. Elle will be fine." She said, turning back into her humanoid form. "And as for me, I know something that the others don't.." She said lightly, causing Rylo to freeze.
"If there's anything I can help with or explain-" Rylo paused as he almost bit his tongue, knowing full well what she was getting at.
"No, you're quite alright. I just tend to notice the smaller things that others seem to ignore." Her smug grin was scaring him a bit but somehow he felt at ease… As if her voice was coming from a beloved leader or perhaps a family member.
"I know I wasn't here from the start of things, so you'll fill me in on the first part ok?" She pulled a medical box out of her pocket dimension. "Let's get you cleaned up."
Rylo started to shake a bit in front of the much taller female, but slowly got back up to his feet and did as she instructed. Starting from the beginning of when he found out about the betrayal to the SINS family which currently ruled majority of the yokai world.
Everything from who he spotted, where the cancer spread from and to who. As a Tengu, it was the fact that they alone hold the message board and spy details better than anyone else of the yokai world. They were like only a select few races that as a whole valued honor and loyalty above all else. So when one eventually turns it would lead to either of two things; One: the single being would be dealt with privately unless the Lord who was betrayed or the clan wanted it publicly displayed. Two: There'd be others who'd think the same and they'd be united in their common goal.
Many civil fights have been brought out in the Tengu clans, most of which was for a change in leadership or that of laws. Despite what many supernatural beings think, humans are far from the only selfish race. Wars have been fought endlessly throughout time and space. Even before the planets were formed, titans, gods and entities have fought for the littleness of things. If only to flex their own might.
"There's a large number of Tengu guardsmen who have come to agree that the current ruling beings are too fixated on their old laws and ways that the yokai in general cannot survive being restricted to our world. Earth is where we all came from unlike you SINS and highest beings."
"Please do continue." Elle said as her smile disappeared completely as she started to become a sponge magnet for more details. "I want to hear more about the traitors and who's involved."
"As from the guardsmen, a few of the newer branch family heads have been led to believe the same and are conspiring with even some humans from the Churches and the Heroes as one of the newest guards, I was the one tasked with following my elders as they spread the word around. That however has been going on for a few weeks. And now just before I came here I was attacked by a few lower classed soldiers hence my injuries."
"So what made you come today, was it something big that lead you to fight off your attackers to give us this message?" Elle finished as she put the medpack back away.
"That's the main issue, or rather the actual issue. Instead of any of the normal elite guardsmen coming in from our source, it was a direct family head. One of the many successors as it currently stands as of this moment, but nonetheless, he is powerful by yokai standards." Rylo took his own pause for a moment as he replayed the scenario back in his head.
"Currently, the Tengu race has seventy eight families, all falling under twelve regional families, which all answer to the main family branch. Similar to royalty in the human world, those within the higher families are treated better and have more weight to their namesake. From the last census taken around four years ago, the entire race is estimated to be just under three million width."
"Hmm, you guys surely grew from last I read about ya. But that was well over three hundred years ago…" Elle smirked for a moment then nodded for Rylo to continue once more.
"The head wasn't the main family but one of the following twelve regional families. I also fall under that however so far most of the families don't know about the upcoming mutiny. Normally word would spread and it would most likely lead to a civil war. Yet this time the rest of the yokai world is at steak along with the humans and from what I've learned today every faction in the higher realms and earth."
"Ahh so that's how this is going to be…" Elle started to walk back into the rain. "I assume that the level this evil has spread to will be around ten percent of all life on this planet. Humans are going to be doing more battles and attacks on one another and the peace just gained between the three Factions will be no more."
"It seems so."
"Hey Rylo, do you know why my Family are known as SINS?" Elle looked up into the sky, the rain started to come down slightly less hard only on her.
"I was informed.. Err, thought that it was because your family had sinned against God himself?"
"God actually had very little to nothing to do with it…"
"I don't know then…"
"Well Rylo I'm going to give this information to you so you best remember it exactly for what i say it is." With a nod for confirmation Elle continued. "The SINS family is a family that in every right should not exist. We were born into this existence with nothing but the Will to live. As My father is the Dragon God f WILL, we as his children are the same. Our mother was an Archangel who's turned into a Dragon god as well, yet her title of The Archangel of Grace carried over as well. As the children of the Dragon God of WILL and Grace, we are destined to be the ones who bare all the hate from the world. When our father killed Satan and became a devil king, he took the Mantle of DANTE- The One who rules purgatory. The One who is undisputed Lord of purgatory, Satan himself be damned."
Rylo instinctively moved towards her, getting within ten feet and came down on his knees. Her words and voice seemed to echo as if it was a one-on-one deliverance in a huge enclosed capel even though they were outside in the storm. The feeling that he had to be there to hear every word come out of her mouth as if it was the word of God Himself.
"We SINS each have our own legacy that we will fulfill without falter. We each will one day when the time comes to find our own Mantle which to take as our claim. As it stands now, I'm being called to this upcoming war. I can feel it in every essence of my being. Truly I have found what is my Mantle to claim. So hear, this is my decree. From this moment forward…"
Lightning struck her position, freezing in place as more followed around her, knocking Rylo back towards the benches. Dozens of lightning bolts flared the ground as a slight devilish laughter-turned into cheer.
"I have become the Dragon Goddess of WAR." Elle emerged from the bolt, her dragon-knight armor on. It was modified, and so was she.
She was taller than what she was before, now the same height as what their mother would reach in her dragon-knight form. Her armor glazed with a dragon head boasted on a shield like construct for her back plates which covered her wings. The dark steel armor, lined with ice blue trims and markings fitted her form perfectly.
As for Rylo… All he could do is kneel. The utter force radiating off Elle was beyond words he could describe. The tengu could barely keep his wings tucked, the force was hurting him that tears began to fly. Noticing the strain put on the young heir, Elle relaxed and went to parade rest. Now being able to move comfortably Rylo looked up.
"I'm sorry about that. I felt the need to do it." She said as she cracked her neck and then sealed her lips with a slight grin.
"You do that often?"
"No, as I said before. You just witnessed my decree, a great honor."
"I feel honored… Forgive me for my lack of strength. The display knocked the wind out of me."
After a few moments of silence the two of them started talking normally, Elle for one demanding to be treated more as a friend then a royalty. With some time within conversation the two talked more about how they enjoyed the basics of society. From hanging out with friends as a means to get away from troubles to stuffing their faces. Shockingly enough, Elle just made herself a friend for life.
X_X (Some random cafe in an unknown country)
Two people sat down at a cafe, enjoying the nice fresh sun that was rudely blocked by immeasurable clouds that seemed to be coming from the south east. With a sigh the older female took hold of her glass and chugged it down fully, slamming it on the table, cursing as it shattered. Undoubtedly she was pissed her precious day was ruined. The young male jumped slightly as his mother seemed to be starring rather angrily at the clouds above.
She appeared to be quite young, maybe late twenties at most and tall. Easily reaching six feet tall, she was a young looking with a warrior goddess body. Her long overflowing blonde hair came tied into a pair of twin tails going down her mid back. The rest in short bangs just coming to her neck in length. Underneath her now useless sunglasses, her purple eyes swirled around as the clouds seem to be dancing in them. Her son shared her look, the blonde hair short for himself and purple eyes. He however appeared to be no older than a ten year old.
She whispered something under her breath, which he did hear unlike the others at the other tables around them, not caring she broke the glass. The question in his head right now was who this "dumb bitch" his mother was refering to. With the sudden change with atmosphere, he hurriedly finished his drink and stood up from his seat.
Wasting no time further, the woman grabbed her son by the hand and went to their waitress, dropped a few bills and steamed off. With little patience the mother rushed her son to a nearby road which happens to lead to the local Indian market. For the most part most of the humans left the market in a means for finding shelter from the incoming storm, those that stayed were only just the ones who owned their own stalls.
Grunting a little bit more, the mother sighed and tightened her grip on her sons hand. Not noticing why she took this route, the rain seemed to be coming here first which didn't fit well with him.
"Mother-?" He halts, planting his heels getting her attention. "Where are we going?"
Lightening her death grip on his hand, she said something very quiet which got his attention real quick.
"... For a young boy you're still not ready for what seems to have been set in motion. It seems others have started something up, nearly everyone is on alert for something…"
"Mom?"
"Seems they're not intending on letting us pass… No doubt they know who we are- no,what we are. I highly doubt they know us by name… They wouldn't dare get this close." She paced back and forth.
"But aren't we getting close to them…?" The young boy points out, his mother halting her pacing.
"... You are a good boy Michael." She turned around and crouched, her head still above his own. "And mommy loves you." She placed a kiss on his forehead making him blush. "We need to meet someone before we leave… They aren't a friend." She said with a sad smile. "Think you can help mommy for a bit honey?"
"Mmhm." He nodded, waiting for whatever she said.
She smiled, tightened her grip and picked him up, holding him in one arm as she stared at him, then back to the nearly empty street ahead. She picked up her pace as a figure came into her way in an attempt to halt her… A big mistake for them as getting in her way leads to the creature being erased from the street. Not so much as a scream as she continued her path. Others who witnessed the act quickly backed off. Some however stayed, no doubt the stronger ones.
"Well it looks like we got ourselves a strong fallen angel here… Wonder what she's doing in these parts…?" The group of deities belonging to the Indain confederacy made their entrance even more noticeable as they gathered around the female and child.
"I highly doubt she doesn't realize this turf belongs to us of the Indian confederacy." A goat looking male said while eyeing the kid.
"Yeah, any deities or other factions have to stay out otherwise they're free game!" Some weird looking mixture between an elephant and a lamb said, licking his or her chops.
"Perhaps she's a rouge..?" A bird like being, closely resembling that of a tengu said with her female features clear. Undeniably she could pass for one of said tengu if she wasn't wearing foregin clothing. "They seem to be more common these days…" She looked down at her human-like feet. "Can we get this over with? I rather not ruin a child's life by killing his own mother in front of him."
"Poor choice coming into our territory angel. We don't take kindly to foreigners here. Soo.. If you don't mind staying still while we remove you?" The goat spoke with a slight glee, just waiting to have a fight.
"I'll keep your boy as a toy… Maybe a snack later down the road." The elephant creature said smacking its lips as if it was arousing.
That however was the last straw. Granted the moment they got in Mercy's way they were going to be killed. Yet… The very second that one mentioned harming her son… Her eyes lit up as a sadistic smile replaced her frown. Knowing full well that his mother was about to kill them, Michael turned away. But at the last chance he turned around and pointed a finger at the female bird.
"Are you… A tengu?" He asked quietly which caught the girl off in surprise.
"Yes… I'm a tengu." She said looking at the boy for a few more moments till he decided to speak once more.
"Not her mother… She's a nice lady." He said looking at the tengu with some respect. Even though he called her a lady, she couldn't yell at the kid. Truly for a Tengu her age she appeared more mature than most when it came to her breasts and height. She would not be willing to say it loudly but she was pushing into her eight hundred right now which made her the equivalent to that of an eighteen year old.
Not one for questioning her boy while on a schedule, Mercy patted his head while retaining her smile. And like that, she stared down one of them quickly causing them to charge her as though she was begging to begin this fight. Without even moving from her spot, both the elephant and goat lost their heads as their corpses hit the ground only to be slowly eaten alive by her unholy purple fire.
They were removed from this plane as those who stood behind them rushed in just to meet the same fate. The Tengu female just stood still, watching as those around her rushed to their doom or ran away just to start burning once they reached a certain distance away. A complete iron curtain effect that left only the family and her alive.
Her laughter as she slaughtered them filled the sky above as the rain started coming down hard on them. Yet failing to halt her flames as they continued to burn the beasts with ease. More and more continued to fall. No one could stand against the raging mother who somehow was doing all this with just one arm as Michael was in her other. As the last one fell in line, she turned to face the lone person spared from her blood lust.
"Well girl, best run off back to japan or wherever your flock is. You're not meant to be here."
"Neither are you…" She said, teary eyed. "And this is where I was left after my family died."
"... Fair point. However I will say my son has a soft spot for you Tengu. What's your name?"
"I-I don't know why I should tell you… But it seems like it would do no harm as I don't want to cause any more issues… It's Victoria."
"Well Victoria, as it's pretty clear that me and my son here are fallen angels, why don't you stick around for a bit?"
"Y-you.. want me to stick around you now… But I thought you just told me to leave here?"
"That's what we will be doing soon as well. I just need to deal with a certain problem before it spreads too far." Her smile returned to normal. "You know where the main boss is around here..?"
"He's in the main chambers down forteen street. Looks like a small temple. More guards around these guys levels there… He's around there as well."
"Well it's good you aren't working for him.. I can tell you could've killed these guys yourself as well. No doubt you are stronger than the deities in this region." She looked Victoria over abit. "Hmm, maybe you're here because you're a half blood… Not human tho… Perhaps fallen?" Mercy tried to figure out the young females origins.
"That's correct. I'm half Tengu from my mother and half fallen angel from my father."
"Ahh I'm starting to like you myself. Say, after everything is done here I'll take you under if you want? It'll be sure better than being alone."
Taking some time to think about the offer before her, Victoria agreed that it would be best for her. With that now assured Mercy requested that she lead them to the boss, so she could end this farce before it grew any further. Laying into Victoria the reason for her actions, she went wide eyed at the news.
"So there's a faction movement that's gathering forces to start a new war?!" Mercy nodded. "For the most part the tengu seem to be spreading the word around fast to whoever they see as their ally. No wonder a large amount of forces were being assembled later on tonight." Victoria sighed.
Mercy raised an eyebrow. News about forces already gathering this fast had her question a few things but she shook her head as her lovely smile came back. It didn't matter. No matter how many are gathered at the masses, no one was going to halt her advance. The same dumb bitch she refered to before was going to be oweing her another debt.
The group now consisting of three made their way further down the street and turned down fourteenth street. Surprisingly no one got in their way as they all seemed to be heading for the temple. Victoria stood next to mercy the whole walk there as she kept staring at Michael who was caught multiple times looking back at her.
On the inside Mercy was finding it adorable and cute. Add to the fact Victoria was blushing at how cute michael was no doubt wanting to hold him herself.
"He's a bit shy. But stick around and he'll grow close to you. I know it may not look like it, but he's a lot older than what he looks. You know who we are now correct?"
"I had my suspicions but after witnessing what you did just earlier I have it narrowed down."
"Mercy and this is my son Michael." Blinking a few times Victoria started shaking a bit but calmed down. "We're friends now. So no need to be uptight. I'm not into royalties anymore."
They made their way to the temple, gathering among a few dozen forces which lead to an underground area which just caused the mother to sigh. Truly these guys were always the same. Same plans, same methods and same goals. Only after a very minutes others noticed the three of them, mainly the two strangers not part of their plans.
Moving to restrain them, Victoria killed those who moved towards them as Mercy began to laugh. She was about to have some fun. Handing her son over to Victoria, the latter blushing at the cute boy in her arms no doubt wishing he'd call her onee-chan. Much to her pleasure he did as inside her head she was screaming loudly in joy.
"Hold him for me, I need to unwind a bit." Mercy said as she began purging through the horde with much glee.
Within just twenty minutes, Mercy had personally wiped out everyone gathered at the temple and the ever so famous underground hall most seem to have. The boss was nothing worth wasting any breath describing as the fallen archangel showed no mercy to those who interfere with her own plans. Which at the moment was just keeping herself and her son out of foregin wars and affairs.
"Well we're done here. Come let's go back to Japan. I need to have a personal talk with a certain redhead." Mercy said opening a portal next to her. "Come along now children, mommy is on a schedule." Her words made Victoria blush as she looked at the older female. "Now now Victoria, you think I missed out on Michael calling you his big sister? Hmm, not one bit." She smiled. "If what you said about your family is… You are welcomed in ours." Without waiting for confirmation, a magic seal shown above Victoria and quickly went up and down around her and you could see her vines flicker as her strucker was reworked.
"That's better, welcome to the family daughter. I really do love that little strand of purple you have there." She made note of the single bang going over her left eye.
"W-what did you do to me..? I got sore muscles all over and a throbbing headache." Victoria said as she fell to her knees, placing Michael down on his own feet. "My head is spinning…"
"I rewrote your dna, now you have my own. My blood is your blood. Thus you can officially be known as my own child like Michael there. Surely this pleases you both?" She asked getting a fast response from Michael who hugged his new sister tightly.
"I'm honored you would take me in. I don't know what else to say… I honestly feel very emotional right now."
"You're still young and this is a very emotional moment, so why wouldn't you be? Silly girl, just hurry up and bring your brother. We have to go deal with the woman causing this massive storm." With that said, the three went through the portal and arrived at their destination.
X_X (Back in Japan, Gremory House- same time)
Dante and Akeno arrived to Issei's house and went inside. Noticing no one greeted them at the door, they announced their arrival and called out for names. The first person they ran into was Xenovia who was apparently just getting out of a shower.
"Yo guys, whats up?" She asked, shaking her towel that was wrapped around her head.
With a quick summary of what has happened, she dropped her towel and went blank in the face, her eyes emotionless. She turned and led the way to another floor, then to large family room where the others were gathered. They had a movie playing loudly, no doubt to block out the storm outside. When the room suddenly grew hot in temperature, those later mentioned turned to tXenovia who pointed her thumb to their friends.
Muting the tv real quick, Koneko grabbed the remote and did as such. With all the attention now on Dante and Akeno, the two of them filled in the rest even further in depth than earlier which only received an immediate concern for Dante.
"Oh Dante… I'm so so sorry." Rossweisse said bringer her hand to her heart.
"I… can't believe something.. Someone as powerful as your brother could be taken... " Issei said, not understanding how it was even fathomable.
"Remember the guy who's your partner?" Dante spit out with slight venom in his voice. "Sorry."
Issei blinked a few times, even coming to a defensive stance as though Dante was gonna hit him. Rias elbowed him, getting him to hurl over and clench his stomach. Not fooling around Rias stood straight, though a little intimidated from Dante's aura he was having great difficulty holding back.
"If there is anything you need us to do Dante, don't hesitate to ask. We are your friends, and on my pride of being of the Gremory blood line and heiress, I will never turn you away."
"I'm going to have to apologize here, I don't want to sound rude as this is your house." Rias waved him off, having him continue. "I am ordering you to all stay here under Akeno's protection. Azazel will be here shortly as well along with a few more relatives. There is a war about to blow out any minute now and my family is going straight to the ice lands of hell to deal with this. Word is from our friend that that'll be the level they're gonna march on through."
"Mother and Father will most likely head to the estate as well. I'm sure they'll bring some loyalists back from their trip." Akeno tightened her grip, reassuring Dante to have faith in their family. "I will stay here and wait for the others along with make sure you guys remain safe."
"Once an older sister... " Issei smiled. "I will help out where I can!" He pumped his fist.
"The foes coming expand a large margin. Race, religion and origins are widespread. Not too much is known but it is clear that they will have players in the range of Loki." Dante said lifting his head a bit towards the tv. "I'm sorry we've come to you while you were watching a movie. But please just do me a favor and stay here. Or even come over to my place. There will be guards massing within the hour."
Rias looked up into Dante's sad eyes, now showing fear of loss. Seeing him in that state just melted her heart as she's come to see him like a brother. Doing what she felt was needed, she strode forward and pulled him into a hug.
"Dante… I don't want you to worry. We'll be fine here. Just go get your brother back and stop this war from spreading to far."
Dante returned the hug and then they parted. Akeno got between them and spun on her heels, giving her husband a kiss which he took lovingly. Breaking off she smiled up at him, before bringing her hand to the bite mark on his neck from her. Her eyes glew bright purple for a moment as she parted away.
"I love you Dante. I'll see you when you come home." With that said, he made his way out and went back to meet up with his sisters.
They smiled as he left, and once the prince left Akeno turned to Rias and with only one word said she brought Rias to her old room. What she was about to say was for them only. The seriousness behind Akeno's usual calm and smiling demeanor was always a thing for caution before yet to be on a one-on-one it had to be private.
"Rias, lock the door." Akeno called her name as she went to lie down on the bed. "Please come here and lie down with me." She began striping down to her nude body. Noticing her actions Rias added a spell to block sound and reinforce the door along with the wall so no one was to disturb them.
Following her, Rias removed her clothing as the two of them got into the bed. Pulling her close Akeno placed a kiss to Rias' forehead as their bodies rubbed up against one another. Akeno's body heat was amazing as it made Rias feel comfy and safe.
"Rias… I know we haven't had much skinship since I became Dante's mate... "
"You can tell me anything Akeno so don't hold back ok? I'm here for my sister."
"With Dante going off to what may end up being a War that no one can ever recover from nor can ever be hidden from the world of mortals… I was confronted by him with a possibility."
"Possibility..? Akeno what is it?"
"For a time now, ever since gaining these new strengths and abilities I've been able to become more indepth with nature. I can feel the change and uplift within the air." She paused. "I know the world will change these coming hours. And someone will not be making it back from this war… Who it is, no one knows. So me and him had noticed it a while ago, Rias… Do you have feelings for Dante?"
X_X
When Dante returned alone he ran into three people that immediately put him on edge but with the others gathered there telling him to be at ease he remained cautious. Sarah pulled him over and into the house for a quick chat leaving no room for debate. As it stood now, none of them stood against the mother and child in the court, nothing known about the new female.
"We are letting her say her peace. No doubt we will-" She was caught off as the voice of their own mother came booming which got a response from their guests.
"MERCY!" Cynder growled. "What do I owe the pleasure of seeing your face again?" She said no doubt livid seeing her fellow fallen archangel.
"I came by with a few things in mind." She said putting her hand up in the air trying to release some tension. "My kids and I ran into a problem of sorts that deals with you guys…"
"Speak." Cynder said lowering her tension as well. "Knowing you as well as I do you no doubt are planning something. So might as well hear what you got."
"As wise as ever dear sister." Her words shook those present minus her son who always had a hunch. "We were spending some quality time together when we spotted or rather heard some birds chirping about an uprising."
"We know that much already." Sarah spoke up only for her to be ignored by her elders. "Better have a better reason for being here than telling us useless intel."
"Threats won't work well on me dear, ask your mother how many times that backfired on her." She smiled, making her sister grow a tick mark. "Anyways, I ended up killing nearly every deity in a certain town…" She stated as though she was gonna be asking for a favor. "Mind having the kids go inside for a bit."
"Head on in kids, bring your cousins with you." Cynder said without even flinching as she already could smell her sister's blood flowing inside the new girl.
Not ones for putting up a fight against their mother, they went inside however remained within earshot of the older women. Well out of the SINS siblings Elle decided to break the tension between their guests with a quick smile and hand offering basic communication. Michael being normally shy was the one to take it as he looked up into her eyes.
"I-I'm sorry for what I did..!" His little tough guy act failing him as tears began to form. "I-I don't know much right now as mostly everything is a blur… But mom said before we came here that I should try to make amends." He buffed up his chest as he brought his free hand to it.
"My name is Michael! I am hoping we can be friends!"
The older females in the room started to blush madly at his cuteness. Any hatred or anger towards the young boy was gone.
"This is my older sister, Victora." He said as he motioned his head towards her.
"Well Michael, I'm Elle. The rest of us here are…"
"We're your cousins Michael." Jessica said, coming out from another room. "I'm happy we finally got to meet properly." She smiled, the little green haired girl pulled him into a hug. "You're really too cute." She said with a sleepy voice.
As the one child of the sins that was never separated from their parents, she had the most knowledge of this and of their blood ties. Why she never said anything about this before or why hadn't their parents elders said anything was beyond them. A question for a later date as Victoria was brought into the conversation.
"Yeah as Michael said, I'm his older sister." Her words seemed to still ring bells for the others as they had no idea she existed till a few moments ago. "Mother however just made me part of the family a few hours ago when she rewrote my blood or dna."
"Ah that makes sense now… By the way how old are you anyway?" Kotori asked as she and her twin began to touch Michael all over. Being the only other male there, Dante made the move to pull Michael out as the two of them went into the next room followed by Mine who wanted to talk more with the boy.
"I'm around eight hundred." She said with some relief, more comfortable saying it around her fellow girls.
Meanwhile back outside the two sisters came closer together, standing apart nearly ten feet from one another. They began to discuss a few things and when it came to the current time they seemed to come to agreeance.
"I will never forgive you for what you did to my husband… The life you took from my son and separating us." Mercy said, not blinking and cold heartedly. Her smile before all but gone, replaced by a dead stare promising vengeance.
The two of them held much in terms of emotion and power, as one would only expect of the two most powerful female archangels. Out of their siblings, they came right next to their eldest in terms of raw power. Unlike most of the high ranked angels, they have not once lost any power from their decay of fighting. Not to make light of the fact they've both proven time and time again since the first wars ever broke wind that they were as strong as any war goddess. Shocking more so was that Michael still held heaven together as the current head as it was clear he was losing much strength if his thin body was anything to go off, which lead many to think he was sick.
"Tell me exactly why you care to assist us. Let alone myself." Cynder said, demanding the truth with her icy tone.
"Out of your children, Vindel is the only one who I held in my arms before." The fact rang through Cynder's head as Mercy continued. "He was such an innocent child. Born into this family… The first child cursed in our family's endless bloodlust. Yet I loved him as though he was my own. Nights on end I'd be the one watching over him while you spent time with others or your husband instead of being a responsible mother." Her words hit hard and she wanted to snap but held her tongue.
"We are sisters Cynder, nothing will change that. Vindel is the first child of this family with Michael falling suite. The life we had planned.. I had planned, would've been great for the two of them." She went on and on.
"You sure don't hold back any punches."
"Why would I? You taught me to be honest. And I've been nothing but so. And look how you've treated me for my loyalty? You killed my husband and claim to have done so to my son as well… Why you lied I WILL FIND OUT RIGHT NOW." Mercy quickly flared her wings as she pinned her older twin sister down with her hand angled like a dagar above Cynder's heart.
"Better tell me the truth or there will be no coming back from this." She whispered.
Looking into her sister's eyes Cynder held back her tears which now became too strong for her to hold back any further. Now was the moment she had planned to atone for but truly she did not know how she had any right to do so.
That night oh so long ago was clear in her heart. Cynder could never forget that horrible night or the horrible choice she was left to make. She damned the the Almighty Father then as she did when she sent her children off into the mortal world.
"Well…?"
"I-I… Your son was in your mates hands… His mumbling continued to scare me... "
"Make sense with your words, you will not have a chance to change your answer."
"He held Michael in his arms as he went to go kill him. Your husband took his weapon, his blade to your son's neck like a mad man and even drew his blood. His words weren't one hundred percent clear however as Michael cried out in pain I did not waste any more time. I killed him, my hand straight through his chest."
"..."
"My error however lead to the blade scaring the child… His left wing was cut off by the blade. By the time I could think of anything he stopped breathing, his cries halted. I could not bare to lose the child. His essence became nearly lifeless, he was no longer the true son of the family. It was almost as though he was becoming human… With what was limited to us in our healing factor, I could barely save the bones for his wing. The amount of pain that child went through is something that I could not live with myself. My worst error in judgement was thinking an attack like that would've killed your husband on the spot… He grabbed me by the ankle and squeezed it until it broke. He grunted as he attempted to stand, limping forward a bit as he did not let go of me." Her eyes spoke the truth as Mercy somehow tried to deal with this.
"He kept coughing on his own blood as he tried to make out a name, but I couldn't make it out. He once more grabbed his blade licking it, tasting his own son's blood. Gone was the man I would have called brother, replaced by a vengeful cur. Only one goal in mind, killing your son. I did what I had to…I fought for the sword and cut his head off. Your son was harmed further and it was all my fault, I didn't know what to tell you as I ran off to find immediate medical aid for the dying child. I know those that informed you of this told you otherwise, yet I couldn't find the strength to tell you your son was dying."
Her words seemed to freeze Mercy in her movements. Her grip tightening for a mere moment before coming loose. She got off and turned away, grabbing her arm as she bit down on her lip. Shaking a bit she started to choke up, which didn't go unnoticed.
"Since giving birth weakens us drastically, it would leave it reasonable that you'd be overpowered by my ex. It was barely a full year after you gave birth to Vindel and two months since I brought Michael to this world."
"I would never harm any of our children. I love them all, mine as I do Michael. He grew up among some of the best angels we've ever known. Loyalists to our cause and in the end I do believe he deserves to be named after the mightiest of all the Archangels. His uncle was so very impressed and moved when you decided to name him after him."
"Michael was a one point a great brother. And we both agreed he'd be the best choice if it ever came to pass, take up the mantle of God when he should fall."
"And as you already know… His new position has weakened him greatly from the warrior he once was. The amount of energy he puts forth to controlling all of Heaven and listening to the wills and prayers of the humans is immense."
"Yeah, I honestly don't know if I believe the whole crap about the old man kicking the can. However I do believe that inorder to keep what little peace we can possibly maintain now, Vindel must be returned and your kingdom restored to what It once was, an undeniable figure of perfection. What a grand empire it once was... "
"It is partially your fault it was nearly destroyed you know."
"I regret nothing. If my own family betrays me, then it will be returned. Nothing compares to a scornful mother."
"So dear sister, will you aid us in this war? Or shallI presume your part is already done?" Cynder asked as she stood up to her full height. "I am not worthy of making any demands of you, nor am I worthy of your forgiveness." The weather outside seemed to slow down a bit further, now ignoring the entire SINS estate. "However as your OLDER SISTER, I demand you to answer me truthfully."
"I can't say much about that… What happened can never be forgiven. We've been through countless wars and we've always had each others backs. I supported you as your most loyal friend and damned I say it, greatest admirer." She turned to face her sister, tears running down her face. "I just don't have that love for you anymore…" She moved closer and placed a hand on her older sister's shoulder. "However since I care deeply for Vindel, I will help out this time around."
The two sisters walked inside, their kids all getting along. With nothing need be said, the SINS all got up from where they'd be sitting and followed the older females out the door they just came in. Michael and his sister went behind their mother who told them they should stay here and not one to argue the point in his current younger form, Michael hugged his mother tightly before grabbing his older sisters hand and heading back to where the few members were staying home.
"So you sure you want to stay behind Kotori, Mine?" Dante asked, a little surprised the twins didn't have the same overwhelming bloodlust. "Well then, make sure to keep our cousins safe not that Michael needs it heh." His eyes went to Michael who just smirked back at him.
"We will watch over Akeno as well Dante, don't worry." Mine said as she went to wrap her arms around the cute boy Michael. "Man you're cute."
"He is. But as his older sister I must insist you stop squeezing him to death." Victoria said as she tried prying him away from her.
"Thanks girls. I'll be sure to make it up to ya later." Dante said as he moved away, now standing in the middle of the yard.
Looking up to the cloudy sky, he smiled. Purple lightning struck down on him hard as he was back in his Dragon knight moments his other sisters were as well. Elle for one sharing her new height and expanded power from her new title. Sarah seemed most happy that her younger sister was catching up to her in size, but the title which she yet to gain only drove her to prove herself in this war.
Astrea's blue frame with golden trims seemed to be also special this time around, which did not go unnoticed by her siblings. She looked away which only caused Sarah and Elle to forcefully take her off to the side to have a talk between the three of them. Dante assumed it was because her armor seemed more well placed than usual around her midsection. Weird but it didn't bother him.
Cynder was paying close attention to her oldest girls group-up, and seemed to freeze for a moment before smiling. No words needed to be said. As of this moment, Cynder was about to wage what one could easily call a Holy war or rather spring it before their foes do it first.
As a SINS and as an Archangel, be that it may a fallen one, she was born for war. All Archangels were. That's how God created them. Only the fact she far surpassed what should've been the limit of an Archangel long before she became Vader's mate, left the rest of the Heavens without breath. Her siblings however were right there with her.
"How I've missed war." She said out loud which got the eyes of her family all on her. "War… War is something that has always promoted conflict from one's own selfish reasons. My one daughter has taken the Mantle of the Dragon Goddess of War, how very fitting." She turned to face Elle who was now bringing Astrea back along with Sarah. "I have a feeling by the time this war is over, every one of you will be taking a Mantle." She smiled lovingly.
Mercy over looked her nieces and nephew. True their power was nearly equal to theirs at their age, but the room for growth was endless for these young bloods. There will be countless wars to come there was no doubt about that, yet still here they stand to wage one on behalf of their own blood. Truly Vindel had great siblings, and one hell of a mother.
"We will start this by splitting up to hit every major ground that our enemy will be using to wedge their forces into the world. Kill anyone who stands in your way and spare no turn coats. And remember, no one is to lay a hand on our family and survive."
Cynder said as she let loose a roar as she slowly turned into her own dragon knight form. Looking back at her twin, Mercy only smiled when she summoned a scythe as her warrior armor took her form, her wings armored as well in a deep ebony form with a dark blue trim.
With everyone who was going set, the others waved as they left going either inside the estate or down the street to Akeno's location.
X_X (Gremory House- three hours later) (A/N-suggest listening to Tears of Razgriz here)
"No way this can be true-!" Xenovia said as the news station for Hell showed an overwhelming onslaught of devils and demons alike. Large named houses were being forced on the defensive with no hope of ever fighting back.
"-reports that hundreds of dragons have appeared out of nowhere! All of Hell is under attack!" The poor devil screamed as their broadcast studio was shaking, breaking at the shere groundbreaking war outside. "Word is the SINS Empire has returned! They're the ones waging this war against everyone! Our correspondent in Heaven reports hundreds of demons and fallen angels bearing the SINS Empire Banner are attacking the gates!"
Xenovia switched the station to another news station where it just happened to be the Greomory public station. Even there hundreds of devils, fallen, demons and dragons ravaged across the lands. From an aerial view, a news squad guarded by only a handful of devils stayed away from the carnage. They quickly screamed as the camera was turned to Gremory castle, which now had a few dragons wrapped around it. The guards defending it managed to hurt one of the dragons which only resulted in their quick demise as another one began chopping on them and ripping them apart.
The family itself prepared for battle the moment dragons showed up, with even their relative Satan fighting more dragons away from the Castle. Lord Gremory and Lady Gremory began destroying most of the traitorous devils that came close, with Lady Gremory just looking at them as their bodies began to ignite from the insides, their bodies becoming ash.
"-Lord and Lady Gremory are taking to the fighting themselves! Oh no! Watch out Lady-!"
A dragon made a move to attack Lady Gremory as she was preoccupied which she somehow evaded the roar of flames and returned he gaze onto the dragon who just killed her opponent. Despite her enormous power, her effinity had no effect at all on the dragon as it pulled its head back as it began to channel up more flames for the next attack.
Shocked that her power couldn't hurt this dragon, she prepared for one last ditch effort for an escape only to get shocked more than ever.
As the dragon moved his head to attack, a MASSIVE Dragon appeared above it which completely engulfed the smaller dragon's neck within its jaws. Pressing down as though through air, the smaller dragon's head fell from its body, served as its neck was spit out in a bloody mess. With a mighty roar the huge dragon flared its wings largely as all attention went to it.
"HEAR ME TRAITORS!" A massiculine voice boomed from the dragon. He took a strong pose above Lady gremory as a means of protection.
His massive black scaled wings where that of a God. Glowing red eyes would put any other dragon in their place. It left no doubt who this dragon was. His hindlegs held him up as he brought his arms across his war scarred chest, crossing them for a mere moment as he began to speak once more before being engulfed in a large white sphere.
"I STAND HERE AS YOUR KING!" His words forced all upon the land and sky to come smash down to their knees. Friend or foe, it did not matter. "THOSE WHO ONCE WERE PART OF MY EMPIRE KNOW THIS: I AM OF MANY THINGS, BUT TODAY-" He paused as the sphere got smaller and smaller to reveal Lord Vader in his Dragon knight form.
"TODAY I WILL BE TAKING THE ROLE AS YOUR EXECUTIONER." He turned to Lady Gremory, picked her up to her feet and then soared off into the sky killing dragon after dragon. All his fallen soldiers rushed for him as he had been once more charged with dealing such punishment. Truly, this was his SIN.
Dozens of dragons came at him, throwing everything they had at him. His armor getting stained in only their blood. More devils and demons from further distances prepared long range attacks that ended up doing no good. When it came to facing some of the more elite fallen troops Vader then started to have some sort of an emotional scar. None of them said anything in regards to who was behind their resurrection, they didn't care. All that matters right now was they had the chance to kill their lord who did them wrong.
Bodies kept coming, and some of the fallen ones started to regenerate as if they were immortal. Only those that were burned away to nothing remained dead. At this point Vader didn't care. He had his foes laid out all around him. They spat in his face, pissed on his flag. The harder he tried to redeem his Empire and right to exist, the more everyone crushed his hopes and plans.
He continued his slaughter, not caring for the rest of his friend's territory. He saved the head family once, now this was a war he couldn't wait to end. Another dragon let loose a roar of white flame which forced Vader to shield himself with his armor. Laughter from those that soon joined them. Fellow dragons who all happened to be of his fallen council who betrayed him. Killing them again a second time around might actually be therapeutic, at least he thought that as he too chuckled.
The news cast lost connection there as it was easy to believe they just got killed by an explosion.
Xenovia couldn't even move. No words could come out of her mouth. The rest of the peerage were in the same state, minus Rias who was still with Akeno in the bedroom.
Issei was the first to say anything, but before he could get anywhere with his idea, a knock came at the door, that being Michael and Victoria flanked by the Twins. Shocked even further of the fallen angel at his doorstep, needless to say, the twins pushed in as their cousins followed them in.
"Ahh… hi there." Issei said, a little scared at the sudden arrival.
"Why hello there." Michael responded, Victoria nodded.
While the introductions were made and a few apologies came from Michael, who seemed to scare Issei to the core but his resident dragon told him to be at ease. Hearing news that their father was down in the Gremory Territory made the twins raise an eyebrow but just shrugged it off. However, hearing that there were more forces all around Hell, the rest of the underworld and even Heaven already just seemed too… Easy? Using fallen soldiers of the SINS Empire however was something that made them take a sigh. Everything their siblings had planned… Was it worth anything now?
X_X
Meanwhile in Akeno's old room, the two females laid in silence. Akeno popped the question, one that seems to have muted Rias. Trying to find the proper response was hard. What could she say? How could she claim to have feelings for her best friend's mate? She had Issei after all, and the two of them used to teasingly fight over him. Dante was different. Granted both of them are dragons by right, but they're completely different people!
"Be honest with me Rias." Akeno said, her eyes soft and caring.
"I-I can't say. I love Issei…!" She said in a little outburst which only brought Akeno's hand to her cheek. "I love Issei. He's the one I fell in love with." Akeno didn't say a word. "And possibility are you suggesting? Please tell me what it is you want me to tell you." RIas said as she brought her hands to her heart.
"There's a possibility Dante will end up killing a large amount of devils at which will officially put himself along with the rest of us on a forever exile list. We will be hunted more now than ever before."
"I feel that's not why you're telling me this. So come on, you're not one to hide things."
"Vindel was taken because he's fallen weak after impregnating his three wives." Her words came out clear.
"So I take it when you guys mate, if you desire offspring- being the Namesake of WILL, you use your strength to do so?"
"He was reduced to a quarter of his full strength."
"Wow. Such a dramatic drop. Its scary to think how powerful he would be at his full potential."
"Rias." Akeno brought her hand to her cheek. "Out of everyone I've ever had feelings for, Dante is the greatest thing I could've ever asked for. And its all thanks to you."
Once more Akeno was the one beating around the bush.
"Akeno… I-I… No worries Akeno. You love him."
"I'm pregnant with his child." Akeno said without wasting another breath as she pulled Rias in tight.
"Y-you're pregnant?! Rias said nearly loud enough to hear throughout the whole house if there wasn't a sound barrier spell put up.
"We were thinking if it would be alright to name you the child's godmother?"
A/N: Dante's Harem has gotten a great amount of votes. Those who are going to be in his harem so far are:
All his sisters, Raynare, Emilia, Akeno, Yasaka, and Serafall. I'll be giving these girls more time in the next few upcoming chapters.
