Arizona's Pov
I sat at my couch think about the thing that I'm going to do. Is this the right thing to do? I'am I making the right decision? Damn it! My internal rambling is stopped by a knock on my door I didn't answer because I don't want to talking to anyone right now. Then suddenly the person behind the door said. "Dr. Robbins I'm sorry to disturb you but your patient Walters said that his stomach hurts again." That caught my attention I have to make this day count. SUCK IT UP ARIZONA GO TO WORK!
I quickly got out of my office and went straight to my patients room. "Hi Jayson, buddy where does it hurt?"
"Here.. it hurts Dr. Zona. Make it go away." Jayson said while tearing up.
"Okay I'll make it go away but you need to be brave for me okay." Jason nodded
"Damn it the spleen ruptured. Call Dr. Bailey and tell her I need her in the OR now." I said talking to the interns beside me. "Okay buddy we are going to another room. Do you remember the room we went to where I make you stomach pain go away?" He nodded "Okay, good now we are going in there again to make it go away. Dr. Zona will make sure that it won't comeback again. Be brave for me okay?"
"Okay Dr. Zona I will be brave." He said giving me a teary smile
"Prep him and take him to the OR." The interns gave me a nod and I went to the OR floor
"Dr. Robbins" I heard someone called me but I didn't answer or looked back. "Dr. Robbins!" then I finally saw the person who called me
"Is there something you want Dr. Kepner?"
"I-I just want to make sure you are okay."
"I'm fine. Don't worry about me. And thank you for carrying. Sorry I have to cut this conversation short I have a ruptured spleen waiting for me at the OR." I said while trying to maintain a professional voice
"Can I assist?" I raised my eye brows at her "Is just that the ER is slow and I-I don't want to waste my time thinking why my life ended up looking like this." She sheepishly smiled at me
"Okay, okay let's go. We don't want to waste our time thinking why our lived ended up looking like crap" I smiled at April's laugh
"Thank you Dr. Robbins!" We are scrubbing our hands when suddenly the door flew opened
"Need help Dr. Robbins?" Dr. Bailey said
"Yes, I need help it's a ruptured spleen" I said while I continue to scrub my hands
"Let's do this!" April said enthusiastically
The surgery was finish no one said a something about what happening the conference room which is something I'm grateful for. "Thank you for assisting me Dr. Bailey. You too Dr. Kepner." I said while walking near the door
"Robbins, is this you last?" I looked at Bailey with confusion "Your last surgery I mean. Its just that somehow I feel that this is you last surgery here in the hospital so I need to know is this your last surgery?"
"I don't know if there is an emergency surgery before my shift ends then that would be my last surgery here. But if there is mo emergency surgery then this is my last." After I said my piece i opened the door and went straight to my department floor. Well I guess after today this will not be mine anymore.
