*7:58, School Dumpster*

Mary-Jane, Gwen and Liz gathered around the dumpster. AC as he called himself was waiting for them, pacing, clearly distressed.

The hooded figure looked up and saw them. He gave a sigh.

"Hi" He said, not at all hopeful like he sounded in his letter. He stopped pacing and stood still, facing the three.

"Hey" Mary-Jane said, waving awkwardly as she was a bit confused as to why he was so nervous.

"Something wrong?" Liz asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Well….yes. Yes there is, actually. It turns out the Templars took escalated measures in acquiring the Sage" AC said, rubbing his head.

"What do you mean?" Mary-Jane asked.

"Our spies indicated that they saw Abstergo agents pull a black car beside the Sage while he was walking home, put a bag over his head, shove him in the car and drive off. Now according to an analyst in our ranks, they booked a reservation for a night at a resort in Miami tomorrow" AC explained.

"Miami? Why are they going there?" Gwen asked.

"The Observatory is located in a jungle in Long Bay, Jamaica, known to be inhabited by native warriors that we have reason to believe are related to the Tainos. We expect them to take a boat ride there as it's not something you can land a plane in" AC explained further.

"Why hasn't anyone found it at this point?" Liz asked, still skeptical that this place even exists.

"Well...let's just say these natives are...territorial. People who've gone into their jungle...they...they don't really come out...not a lot of them at least" AC explained, rubbing the back of his head.

The three senior girls looked at each other and got a little scared. This was becoming more and more creepy the more time went on.

"So why did they choose now? Why not wait until Monday like you said in the letter?" Mary-Jane asked, still a bit confused.

"We're not really sure ourselves though our best guess is somehow they found out about our correspondence. Gwen, what did you do to the letter I first sent?" AC asked, turning to the blonde.

"I got rid of it the first moment I could. I ripped it up and threw it in the toilet. No one else saw it, certainly not those two scum" Gwen said, her nose twitching at the thought of them.

"Hmmmm….this is so odd. How in god's name could they have found out?" AC asked himself.

"I...I think I can answer that" A voice said in the distance.

They all turned around to see a dark figure in the shadows. AC quickly moved in the front of the girls and unsheathed his blade from his wrist.

"Come out! Now!" AC exclaimed, his voice raising.

The figure slowly walked forward until Harry Osborn came out with a guilty frown. He was rubbing his shoulder in embarrassment.

"Harry?" Gwen asked with a raised eyebrows.

"Hey" Harry said, waving awkwardly, smiling sheepishly.

"What are you doing here, Osborn?" AC asked, not sheathing his blade.

"Well...I...I overheard Gwen, MJ and Liz talking and I heard they were coming here so I...I decided to come to" Harry said, looking down to the ground.

"You were spying on us?!" Mary-Jane asked with a disgusted look on her face.

"God, you're an even bigger sicko than I thought you were" Liz said, sneering.

"Look! I...I know I've done bad things...I was a terrible boyfriend, I was a terrible friend and just an all around terrible person lately. I...I want to make things right. With all of you and most of all, Peter. I know I don't deserve another chance...but I would like one...please" Harry practically begged with his eyes somber and his voice filled with sincerity.

After a few moments, AC sighed and finally sheathed his blade. He turned to the three girls and shrugged as if he was asking what they should do.

Gwen looked at Harry with sympathy. They were done as a couple for good but that didn't mean she really wanted to cut him out of her life. She turned to Mary-Jane and Gwen.

"Look, guys, I know he's been pretty scummy lately but he really can help us out. Deep down, I still think Peter still sees him as his best friend and he can be pretty resourceful" Gwen tried to reason with the two girls.

"Gwen...this guy emotionally manipulated you into staying with him and not dating Peter. He also caused Peter to go into a deep depressive state that led him to these Templar guys" Mary-Jane said in a bit of a scolding manner.

"All of that's true, MJ. I know, really. I still don't know if I want to even associate myself with him after all this but I really do think he can help us. We need to focus on helping Peter right now and we need all the help we can get, especially financially" Gwen said, putting an emphasis on the word 'financially'

Mary-Jane and Liz looked at each other real quick and looked back at Gwen.

"Fine...but after this, I'm never speaking to him again for as long as I live" Mary-Jane said with Liz nodding in agreement.

"Fair enough" Gwen said. She turned to AC and gave a nod of approval.

"Alright then...first things first though, what do you mean when you say you can explain why the Templars escalated the acquisition of the Sage?" AC asked with a raised eyebrow and a hint of a glare.

"Well...I...I kind of told the 2 Templars that I knew they were Templars" Harry explained, rubbing his shoulder in embarrassment.

AC just held a blank stare on his face for a second before he silently whispered something that everyone could hear nonetheless.

"That is the amongst the dumbest things you can ever say to a Templar" He said. Despite in being a whisper, Harry could hear the rage behind it.

"I...realize that now" Harry said, remembering the talk he had with the 2 well.

"And what made you do this?" AC asked, doing his utmost to stay calm.

"Well I mean...I don't know... I was just so...frustrated. And angry. And alone. I wasn't thinking" Harry tried to rationalize.

"Clearly. Well, kid. You got us into a hole and dug us further into it. You should be glad we're finding out like this. Someone else would've thought you were a spy and would've taken...drastic measures to deal with you" AC said, sending a deep glare to Harry who gulped. That was the second time this week someone said something like that to him.

"Sorry" Harry said in a manly voice and definitely not an 'I'm so scared, I could wet myself' voice.

"Whatever. Anyway, I got a trip to plan. I'm out. We'll talk when I get back" AC said as he turned and began to walk away.

"Wait! We can help!" Mary-Jane exclaimed.

AC turned back and looked at them as if to say 'you're kidding, right?'

"Uh...no. No you can't. Now go home. Enjoy your weekend" AC said, gesturing them to shoo.

"Oh come on, you think we can't handle it?" Liz asked with a raised eyebrows.

"...Yes. Do you people not understand how dangerous this is? These Templars will not rest until they fulfill their objective of controlling the entire world and they will do anything it takes to make sure they complete that objective and I do mean anything. You think they're just going to let 4 teenagers get in their way?" AC asked, scolding them.

"Look, we understand the risks but we care about our friend and we want to help him. Also, let's be honest, you won't be able to stop Peter anyway. The other night at your warehouse should be a good indication of what would happen if you went after him by yourself and maybe even worse if these Templars are as bad as we say. He won't listen to you but he might listen to us. You even said so in your letter" Mary-Jane reasoned.

AC stopped and started to think. She did have a point. That's the reason the Templars recruited Peter to begin with. As long as the Sage was in New York, there was no way they could get to him as long as the Assassins had the advantage here. Spiderman was the only way they stood a chance. His friends talking sense into him might be the only way they can stop them.

Then again, what would happen if it didn't work? Did he really want the blood of 4 teens on his chest?

He paced back and forth, continuing to think. The 4 didn't say anything while he was deciding. They just sat staring.

After what seemed to be an eternity but was really only 5 minutes, he stopped and rubbed his forehead.

"Ok...fine. I'll allow you to come...but let's get one thing clear: You have to LISTEN to everything I say and I mean anything. When I say jump, you say 'How high?' and all that stuff. Got me?" AC asked sternly.

Everyone nodded at the deal.

"Good...we'll need to follow them so we'll need to get transportation over to Miami somehow. We can't rely on a commercial flight either" AC said.

"I can help with that. I can have my family's private jet set up and we'll go as soon as we can" Harry said.

AC thought about it and nodded.

"Ok...fine. We'll meet up tomorrow then. What time will it be available?" The hooded young man asked.

"Well...it'll take a bit to get ready so tomorrow around 9PM will be when it's ready to go" Harry answered.

"That long?!" AC practically shouted.

"If I knew earlier, I probably could've had it done by around noon tomorrow but it's too late now" Harry said somberly.

"Great. Just perfect" AC said sarcastically, throwing his hands in the air. This was going from bad to worse as time went on. However, he needed to take what he could get.

"So...we all meet at Harry's tomorrow then?" Gwen asked.

"I guess so. I don't see any other way we can do it" AC answered, his face turning neutral. At this point, there was no use getting upset

"Ok….and again, I'm really sorry" Harry said, acknowledging that he hadn't exactly helped the situation today.

"Oh it's fine. You just endangered the future of the world. No big deal" AC said again in a sarcastic manner but had on a neutral face.

"...Right. I should shut up now" Harry said, twiddling his thumbs.

"Yes, you should. You all should also leave. I need to think this over" AC said as he gestured for them to leave. They did as such and all turned around to walk away.

Once they were all out of site, AC got out a phone and dialed a number through an ecrypted line.

"Alex? What've you got?" An older man's voice said coming through.

"The Osborn kid squealed to Rikkin's and England's kids. That's why they escalated getting the Sage in their hands" AC answered.

The man let out a groan over the phone.

"Perfect. How'd you find that out?" The man asked.

"Told me himself. Spied on the girls when I passed them the note to meet me at our meeting spot" AC answered.

"What did you do then?" The man asked.

"He wanted to help so I let him. We practically don't have a choice anyway. He can get us fast travel to Miami. I doubt we'll be able to stop them from stepping foot at the Observatory but we can make damn sure they don't leave without the device" AC explained.

"I guess that'll have to be good enough. Is there anything else to discuss?" The man asked.

"The girls need to come as well. They're the only ones that can talk some sense to Parker. We won't be able to convince him otherwise" AC explained.

"Are you really sure that's a good idea?" The man asked.

"No but it's the only thing I can think of on such short notice. They leave tomorrow, Bill" AC answered.

"I understand. Make sure they're protected. I don't think even these Abstergo scum will harm children but you never know" William Miles said.

"I got it. I'll get back with you with an update as soon as I can" AC said.

"Good. Keep on the upside, Alex. I know you'll stop them" William said.

"I know...but I can't help wondering...I'll get back to you later, Bill" AC said, sounding really unsure.

"Alright. Good night" William said.

"Good night" AC said, hanging up the phone. Afterwards, he practically collapsed mentally.

The young Assassin didn't know what to make of this. He was putting the future of the world in a bunch of teenagers but then again what choice did he have? A fraction of his team was lost to the NYPD at the moment and they had the Sage. He knew he didn't stand a chance against Spiderman alone and while none of these people had powers, they had two things he didn't have in this scenario: the power of persuasion and history (Not all of it good but history nonetheless). It was the best he could make of a very bad situation.

AC climbed up the side of the school until he was on the roof and ran across the rooftops. This would be a crucial moment in his life as an Assassin. He had to make sure he didn't screw it up.
