*Later that night, 12:00AM*

The Osborn's family jet arrived in Miami, Florida late at night in Miami International Airport. Immediately after getting off the plane, there was already someone waiting for them in a long black car.

"Well that's not sketchy or terrifying at all" Mary-Jane said sarcastically as they went inside.

AC instructed them to put their bags in the trunk and they did as such. Afterwards, they all got in the car, took their seats and buckled

"Everybody all packed in?" An English voice said.

"Yeah, we're good. Let's get going" AC said, nodding.

"Excellent" The voice said as he started to drive.

It was pretty quiet for a while until they left the airport. Then Gwen decided to speak up.

"Where are we going?" The blonde asked.

"To the Miami bureau. Oh and that reminds me, I'm going to have to ask you guys to put these on" AC said, giving them small blindfolds.

"Uh...can I ask wh-" Mary-Jane didn't even get to finish her question before AC interrupted her.

"This is a secret location we're going to and we put a big emphasis on secret. We're taking no chances. Blindfolds on. Now" AC said sternly.

The 4 of them rolled their eyes and put the blindfolds on as requested. They decided not to say a word for the rest of the car ride and make things any more awkward than they already were with them riding down the street in a city all the way across the country from where they lived with practically complete strangers.

Despite this, the car ride went smoothly and after about 20 minutes, they seemed to have reached their destination. The English driver put the car in park and announced that they were here.

"Alright. You can take your blindfolds off now" AC said and the 4 teens did as such.

"Thank god. This thing is totally messing up my eyeliner" Liz said which caused AC to roll his eyes.

"Teenaged girls" Was all he thought.

They all got out of the car and looked around. It was some warehouse hideout. They could see several hooded people sleeping, talking, some even doing really cool tricks above.

"Woah, look at that" Liz said pointing up with an amazed look on her face.

Two hooded people (One man and one woman) were running through what looked to be some obstacle course of some sort. They were jumping on small platforms, swinging on hanging bars, doing some pretty extreme climbing. It wasn't even parkour at this point. This stuff was beyond any sort of parkour these 4 have ever seen.

"Incredible" Gwen said in awe, not believing what she was seeing.

"Yeah, that's amazing. How do they do that?" Mary-Jane asked, just as shocked and impressed.

"Loads of practice. Now come on. We have to discuss tomorrow. It's getting late and we're all going to need to go to bed soon to be ready for tomorrow" AC said. He and the driver stood side by side from one another.

The other one wasn't really as intimidating as AC nor did he look very threatening. He was just a man in probably his late 20s/early 30s with a sweater vest, khakis and loafers.

They were walking towards a desk with two other people. One with a hood but much more rugged and dirty than AC's and if they could look carefully, they could see the man wearing the hood had some face paint on, some white lines around his face.

The other was a woman with short dark hair wearing a grey beanie who was working on a computer. She seemed to know her stuff as she was just typing away as fast as anyone probably could.

"Guys, this is my team. I call them Deacon, Becs and well…" AC said, trying to figure out a nickname for the one in the hood.

"Yeah, my name's Shaun Hastings and this is my partner in crime, Rebecca Crane" The man who introduced himself as Shaun said.

AC rolled his eyes. So much for secrecy.

"'Sup?" Rebecca said, looking up from her computer for a slight moment before focusing back down at her computer.

"And my name is Aapo Tabai. I'm the mentor of the West Indies Assassin Brotherhood. Pleasure to meet you all...or at least most of you" The man said, uncovering his hood, revealing slicked back dark hair, tanned skin and white lines on his face. Gwen recognized the particular style as a Mayan theme. He gave a slight glare to Harry as he said the last part of his statement. Harry noticed and cringed. He guessed word traveled fast among these people.

"Indeed. He's the great-great-great-great grandson of legendary Assassin Ah Tabai, notable for training some of the best members of our organization" AC explained, thinking of Edward Kenway, Adewale, Achilles Davenport.

"Did you guys say Assassins?" Mary-Jane asked, raising an eyebrow. That was a pretty chilling title to have.

"Those 2 Templars called you Assassins as well but I didn't really know whether or not that was true. I guess it is" Harry said, shivering a bit.

"Relax. We may be Assassins but we're not bloodthirsty killers. We only kill when we have to. Also, we don't kill for profit. We kill only for the purpose of securing the freedom of every society on earth. To allow others to choose their own paths" AC explained, trying to ease their tensions.

"Indeed. Becs and I haven't killed anyone in a long time and we hope to keep it that way" Shaun said.

"We exist solely to rid the world of Templar control. Killing is only a last resort" Aapo Tabai said.

"Right….I see" Harry said, still not really eased at the idea of being in a room with people that called themselves Assassins.

"You...you don't plan to kill Peter, do you?" Gwen asked, nervously. Liz looked a little worried about that as well.

"No. By all counts, Peter is not a Templar yet and he hasn't done anything that would require us to take such action" Aapo said, shaking his head no.

"Exactly. We plan to save him from the Templar's grasp. Being a slave to their cause is a fate worse than death" AC stated.

"Ooook...sounds a bit cliched and overdramatic but ok. So what's our plan exactly? What are we doing?" Mary-Jane asked, getting straight to business. She wanted to get this done.

"For now, we rest. According to sources dug up by Deacon, the Templars plan to take a yacht full of their armed officers along with Peter and the Templar's kids at around 6:30 in the morning" AC explained.

"What we're going to do is take a boat and follow them. They'll get to the Observatory but they won't be leaving with the device" Shaun explained.

"What are you going to do with John? You know, the Sage guy? To make sure they don't use him again to get into this place" Liz asked, curiously.

The 4 assassins looked at each other. They just shrugged at each other before they turned back to the teens.

"We'll...worry about that when it comes" AC said. To be honest, he wasn't sure what they were going to do. In the past, they've either killed Sages or took them to an Assassin bureau to hide him for the rest of their lives.

They hadn't come across a Sage since the first World War and a couple of their methods had changed but not even they knew what to do in this scenario. Kill a person just for being born? Then again, this guy was no angel. He was once a brutal pirate, a Templar GrandMaster and a Templar spy. Now he was working with the Templars again. He was their enemy by default.

"I think we discussed all that needed to be said for tonight. For now we need to get our rest for tomorrow. We need to be ready when we go to the Observatory" Aapo said sternly.

AC nodded. "Agreed. There's an area for you guys so you can all sleep. Follow me"

The 4 teenagers followed AC to a corner of the room where 4 sleeping bags were set up along with a couple of water bottles and granola bars.

"Giving us the first class treatment, huh?" Mary-Jane asked with an annoyed look on her face.

"We barely have enough resources here to sustain ourselves and really, you're not even supposed to be here so be grateful we're not making you sleep directly on the floor" AC said, just as annoyed as he constantly had to explain these things to teenagers that were only here because they needed them for this mission.

"Ok...not really used to things like these" Harry said, examining the sleeping bags.

"Oh well I'm so sorry we don't have a king sized cotton bed, feather pillows and butlers willing to do your every command laid out here for you, your majesty" AC said sarcastically, glaring at Harry.

"I-I didn't mean-" Harry tried to say before he was interrupted.

"Save it. I don't want to hear any more of your bullshit. You're a liar, a manipulator and a terrible person in general. You dragged all of us out here, even Shaun and Rebecca who are top people in our brotherhood with other things to do and you put the whole world in danger because you couldn't keep your big mouth shut. You owe me big just for convincing these guys to cut you some slack but just between that and what I'm giving you now, it's still way too much for someone like you. Now shut up and go to sleep! All of you!" AC scolded loudly before turning and walking away.

The girls gave a glare to Harry who said nothing. He just slunk into his sleeping bag. As if there wasn't any other way he could feel more bad about himself.

The rest quickly got into their bags and soon enough, they all fell asleep quickly, even amid all the training and noise going about.

AC walked back to the group and took his hood off, revealing his dark brown hair. He adjusted his hair a bit before turning towards his peers who were looking at him.

"A bit hard on the kid, weren't you?" Rebecca asked.

"It's no less than what he deserved. He needs a wake up call that simply because he's a rich little boy and his criminal daddy is dead doesn't mean he's entitled to whatever he wants. Him having that attitude is what got us in this mess" AC explained.

"Eh, teens usually have that kind of attitude when they have that kind of money. Besides, it's not like he really knew what he was doing" Rebecca said, kind of waving it off.

"Still though, if were at least half a decent person and friend, this wouldn't need to happen. Why Peter even fed up with that kind of kid is beyond me" AC said, glaring back at him.

"Well who knows? I think the kid wants to redeem himself somehow. Hell, maybe he will" Rebecca said, shrugging.

"I doubt it. I've seen his type before many times in my life. All they care about is their personal gain. Hardly any of them change. Anyway, I better get to bed too. Shaun, you're absolutely sure the boat will be ready at around 7?" AC asked.

Shaun rolled his eyes. "Obviously. You remember who you're talking to? It'll be ready"

"I'm just checking. Alright. Good night, guys. I'll see you all tomorrow" AC said, nodding his head to all of them.

"Goodnight, AC" Shaun and Rebecca said in unison which kind of amused AC who smirked knowingly at them.

"Sleep well, brother" The Mayan mentor of the West Indies Brotherhood said, shaking AC's hand, who nodded his head at the man.

AC then proceeded to walk towards the resting area of the hideout, leaving the group behind. Tomorrow was a big day. He only hoped he was prepared enough.

*Around 3:30AM*

Gwen yawned and rubbed her eyes as she woke up. She looked around and saw that the whole room was dark except for a few lights that were shining from the ceiling. The blonde looked around and saw the others asleep. She got out of her sleeping bag and got a water bottle from the side. She was parched.

Gwen opened the bottle, sat on a nearby bench and started drinking. It wouldn't be easy to go back to sleep. She had too much on her mind about pretty much everything going on but most especially Peter. Thoughts of how to convince him to stop doing what he was doing, thoughts of how to bring him home to his friends...thoughts of how to convince him to be together with her. She sighed. She knew relationships were hard but even she knew most people didn't struggle with things like this.

As she pondered, she noticed something in the distance. It looked to be a light emitting from a computer or something of the sort. She got up from the bench and started slowly walking to the light. She got closer and closer until she noticed someone at the computer. It was the same woman from before. Rebecca was her name as Gwen recalled.

Not really wanting to disturb her, she slowly turned around and started walking back to her sleeping bag. However, Rebecca looked up from the device and saw her walking away.

"Hey!" She softly called out as to not disturb anyone else sleeping. Gwen turned back, embarrassed and walked towards the desk where the computer Rebecca was working at was set up.

"Hey" She said, waving sheepishly, still embarrassed.

"What are you doing up? It's pretty early" Rebecca noticed, smiling.

"I just woke up and I was thirsty. What are you doing up….if you don't mind me asking" Gwen asked.

"Ah, just working on a couple things" Rebecca said, continuing to type.

"Oh...cool" Gwen said. She didn't really bother to ask as this was kind of a covert organization. She just continued drinking from her water bottle.

Rebecca looked up at her and raised an eyebrow. The woman in her early thirties could see she was pretty distressed. She wanted to be a mother someday so...maybe this could be good practice, dealing with teenagers.

"You ok there, hon?" Rebecca asked Gwen.

Gwen put her mouth off the bottle and nodded. "Uh...yeah. Just...fine"

Rebecca could tell she was obviously lying. She raised an eyebrow towards her.

"Uh-huh. Real convincing there, kid. Come on, talk to me about it. I'm a girl. You can talk to me about your girl problems...believe me, I'm a better conversationalist than AC. You shouldn't let him get to you, by the way. He just lets his work take over his personality at times" Rebecca said with a smirk.

This caused Gwen to snicker before her face got serious again.

"Are you sure? I don't really want to bore you with my teenaged issues and such" Gwen asked which caused Rebecca to wave that off.

"No worries. I went through a lot of them myself. Come on over and sit down with me. I can take a break" Rebecca said, sitting down on another bench near the desk and patted the spot beside her. Gwen hesitantly sat down next to her.

"Let me guess...it's Parker, isn't it? Peter Parker?" Rebecca asked.

Gwen turned to her in a snap and looked at her with a surprised look on her face.

"Yes...how...how do you-" Gwen tried to ask before Rebecca interrupted her.

"I've been briefed by AC. I know about how you feel about him...and how he feels about you and such" Rebecca explained.

Gwen practically scoffed at that.

"You mean how he used to feel about me" Gwen said, a bit depressed.

"What do you mean?" Rebecca asked, raising an eyebrow.

"We...we had an agreement at the end of the school year a few months ago. We were supposed to break up with our boyfriend and girlfriend and get together but...the Green Goblin, he died while he was trying to kill Peter, you know Spiderman. He was the dad of my ex-boyfriend, Harry, who knew about Peter and I's plans to get together. Harry used his dad's death to guilt trip me into staying with him and I told Peter we couldn't be together right now even though he already broke up with his really sweet girlfriend for me. So I left him all alone all summer and I broke his heart in the process. He...he probably hates me for that now" Gwen explained, lowering her head in shame.

Rebecca nodded. "Ah, yeah. I remember AC telling me something like that. Kind of a dick move on his part, I gotta say"

Gwen sighed. "Maybe...Maybe Liz, Peter's ex-girlfriend is right. Maybe she is a better match for him. She was nothing but sweet, kind and loving to him the whole time they were together. She's also very pretty, a cheerleader, popular. She's a dream girl for guys like Peter...maybe I should just step back and let them be together"

Rebecca shoved that possibility aside.

"Bullshit! Hey, he was willing to leave someone like her for you, you must be one hell of a girl to him" Rebecca said, trying to encourage her but it didn't seem to be working.

"But...I broke his heart...I left him alone for months with no one to help him through his issues. I pushed him into the arms of these Templars that are making him do their every bidding. Who would get with someone like me after that?" Gwen asked, with a small tear going down her face.

Rebecca just smiled and wrapped her arm around her shoulder.

"Just relax, hon. There's no reason to think he hates you. I actually met the kid yesterday. He seems like a sweet young guy. I think he'll forgive you if you show how sorry you are" Rebecca said, comforting her.

"But...how am I supposed to do that?" Gwen asked, curiously, looking up at Rebecca.

"He's just in a tough time right now. It's why these Templar bastards were able to get to him so easily. They made him think they're his friends and that they truly care about him. That's what you need to do after this is over but the difference between them and you is is that you'll be sincere. You'll show him that you'll be there to love and care for him and that you'll be willing to go the extra mile for him to prove that you really do love him" Rebecca explained, rubbing her forearm the way a mother would her daughter.

Gwen looked down to her lap for a bit and thought about that for a moment.

"Maybe...I just hope he isn't too upset with me...though I can't say I'd blame him if he was" Gwen said, regret filling her voice.

"It'll be ok, honey. Peter doesn't seem like the type to hold grudges about things like that. I think you'll be fine. Go get some rest. We have a big day tomorrow" Rebecca said, patting her arm and pulling her up from the bench.

"Well….ok….but shouldn't you be getting to bed too? Aren't you coming with us?" Gwen asked curiously.

"Yeah but I'll be on the boat when you go onto the bay. Me and Shaun. We're not really field Assassins as we've said before….and besides, these energy drinks do wonders" Rebecca said, grinning.

Gwen lightly chuckled and nodded.

"Thank you, Rebecca...I really needed that" Gwen said, smiling at her.

"No trouble, Gwen. Anytime" Rebecca said as she went back to typing on her computer. Gwen went back to her bed, contemplating her thoughts.

Maybe there would be hope for her and Peter after all...though that was still up in the air. The only thing she needed to focus on right now is getting him out of the hands of this creep cult. The next 12 or so hours were going to be crucial for the fate of not only Peter but for the world as well.
