Me: Ok. Just so you know, in this series, "Gift of the Night Fury" occurred before "Legend of the Bonenapper".
Gobber and the teens were preparing to leave the island with the help of the Bonenapper. But before they could leave, they heard a roar in the distance.
Astrid: "What was that?"
Snotlout: "That sounded like a roar."
Fishlegs: "That wasn't just any roar. It sounded like a dragon. But not one I am familiar with.
Hiccup: "Let's go check it out."
The group went to where they believed the roar came from. When they, arrived they found a dragon, unlike anything they have ever seen before(A/N: Can you guess who). They saw that the dragon was trying to get some boulders to move. It was just using its claws. This lead the group to believe either this dragon didn't have any fire breath, or there was something on the other side of the boulders that the dragon didn't want to risk with a big explosion.
Hiccup approached the dragon, but when it sensed him, it snarled at him. Hiccup held his hands up and spoke in a soothing tone.
Hiccup: "It's ok. I'm not going to hurt you, just want to help. Why are you trying to move those boulders?"
The dragon just looked at the boulders with a worried look.
Hiccup (seeing this): "Do you have a friend trapped behind them?"
The dragon simply nodded its head. Hiccup calls the others over and tells them what was going on, so they began to help the dragon move the boulders. When they finished the dragon immediately went to its friend. And the group was surprised to see that its friend a not a dragon, but a...
A human girl(A/N: "Cam you guess who?").
She was laying on the ground, her arm was clearly injured, and she was covered in dirt, scratches, a few bruises, and had a large two-clawed scar over her left eye. When Hiccup tried to approach her to see if she was ok, the dragon once again snarled at him.
Hiccup: "I just want to help her. She's hurt, but we can help. Our village has a healer, who can help her. You can follow to make sure she is safe. Please let us help."
And with that, Hiccup held out his hand and looked away. The dragon looked at Hiccup debating whether it should trust him or not. It looked at its friend and knew she needed help and decided to let them help, and put its snot in Hiccup's hand.
With that, the group gently put the girl on the Bonenapper and left for their home island of Berk with the mysterious dragon following them. When they arrived on Berk, they imminently took the girl to Gothi. Gothi said, well wrote, that her arm was broken but will be fully healed in a few weeks to a month, and that other than that she was fine. The dragon said at Gothi's until its friend woke up.
Viper's P.O.V:
I begin to wake up and the first thing I notice is that my arm is killing me. When I opened my eyes, I saw I was in an unfamiliar room. I saw over to the side that Charger was off to the side resting which filled me with relief. Suddenly, an elderly woman stepped into my line of vision.
Me: "Umm... Who are you? What is going on? How did I get here? Are you the one who found me?"
She took her staff and began to write in the dirt on the floor.
Gothi: #$(&(&#!*! (! $^!&$(!)!))&$^ *&$* &
I just looked at her confused.
Me: "What?!"
She then pointed at the door. I think she wants me to go outside, so I get up and walk out the door with Charger following me.
When we step outside, I see we're in a village that was filled with humans and dragons. For a moment I feel like I might be dreaming. That is until Charger nudges me before he starts walking off somewhere clearly wanting me to follow.
I follow him until we reach what looks like an arena. When we walked in I saw a very unique group. Six humans who look the same age as me, four boys and two girls, and five dragons: a Deadly Nadder, a Monstrous Nightmare, a Gronkle, a Hideous Zippleback, and a Night Fury. WAIT! A NIGHT FURY?! I thought they were just a myth! Before I could go up to the Night Fury to one of the boys walks up to me. I notice he is a bit smaller than the other humans. I also noticed he had a metal leg, I wound what happened.
He and the other humans introduced themselves as Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, and Ruffnut and Tuffnut. They also introduced the dragons. The Deadly Nadder was named Stormfly. The Monstrous Nightmare was called Hookfang. The Gronkle was Meatlug. The Hideous Zippleback was Barf and Belch, with the left head being Barf and the right one is Belch. And finally, the Night Fury was named Toothless. After that, I decided to introduce myself and Charger.
Me: "Well my name is Viper, and this is Charger."
Fishlegs then walks up to Charger amazed by him.
Fishlegs: "Amazing. What kind of dragon is he? We've never seen anything like him before."
Me: "And you probably never will again. Charger here is a Bolt-Wing Dragon. And they are nearly extinct. I'm pretty sure Charger is the only Bolt-Wing left."
Astrid: "Why is that?"
Me: "Because their main source of food is believed to be extinct. Charger was able to survive because he adapted to eating more fish and boars. If he has to, he will eat a yak, but he doesn't like it. He doesn't like how hairy they are."
And to prove my point, Charger grunts and sticks out his tongue in disgust.
Fishlegs then asks me if I can tell him more about Charger so he can add Charger to something called the Book of Dragons. So, I tell him the basics about Bolt-Wing Dragons like how fast he can fly, his wingspan, why others should avoid the spikes he can shot out of his tail and stuff like that. There were some questions I couldn't answer like what his shot was, mostly because I never really counted.
I learned a lot about them and the island. I learned how they were once at war with dragons but are now at peace with them. How they once kill dragons in this arena but now train them. And even learned how they found made and helped Charger save after that rockslide on the other island injured my arm. After that, they gave me a tour and I was able to meet Hiccup's father and the chief, Stoick.
Stoick: "So, las, where did you come from?"
I wasn't sure how to answer this, not because I was trying to hide anything, but because I never really knew my parents and one of my earliest memories was when Charger found me when I was little.
Me: "I'm not sure how to answer that. For as long as I can remember, it's pretty much just been me a Charger."
Hiccup: "Really?"
Me: "While, yes. Charger and I have traveled to a few islands out there, but it's pretty much just been us."
Stoick (putting a hand on my shoulder): "Well las, you're welcome to stay here on berk and be a part of our village."
Me: "Thank you chief. I can't tell how much I appreciate this."
He offered to let me stay with him and Hiccup until a house can be built for me. I made sure to tell them what they needed to know so Charger would also have an easy time moving around inside the house.
