The next morning
Nicole wakes up around 5 am as she fills her stomach-turning. She looks down at Kyoya, trying not to wake him, slips out of his arms, and goes into the bathroom to throw up. This queasy feeling started two days ago and she probably thinks that it's from the wine and not putting food on her stomach. Her phone vibrates in her pocket and it's Dragonite
Dragonite: Hey, you finish emptying your stomach?
Nicole: I think so, but you can come in if you want
Dragonite enters the bathroom and grabs a rag to wipe Nicole's face. Nicole smiles as she notices that Dragonite is already dressed in clothes
Nicole: Rough night sleeping alone?
Dragonite: Not rough, but different. I miss him
Nicole: Then go back to him
Dragonite: I can't now. All I think about is her kissing him, and ugh I hate it
Nicole: I know you hate what she did but that-
Dragonite: No, I hate these feelings. You knew how I was back in high school. These feelings didn't take much control over me that badly. Though I liked Ryuga back then, why now do they hurt so much?
Nicole: You love him, gurl. There's a difference in how you felt for him then and now. You two are together in a relationship and you practically almost live with each other. You. Love. Him
Dragonite: You're right, I do love him, but I need some time to myself to process this and I don't know how he's going to take it
Nicole: I'm sure he will understand. Unlike Kyoya
Dragonite: Wait. what do you mean, unlike Kyoya?
Nicole: I think he should go back to Hikaru. Deep down I know how I feel about him and how he feels about me, but they didn't talk about getting together to not get back together. They were in a serious relationship
Dragonite: Yes, they were. But what if Kyoya wants to be with you for how much he cares and loves you. He's not going to give you up completely for Hikaru
Nicole: He'll negotiate better terms
Dragonite: And what if he can't? Will you let him in after he went back to her?
Nicole: I don't know, but deep down I feel wrong. Like, I feel like I'm just taking him from her because I have the ability to
Dragonite: Don't think that way. You know how he feels for you
Nicole: And yet he still wants to patch things with her
Dragonite: I bet you he won't if you tell him how you feel. Why can't you tell him that you want him?
Nicole: I'll feel bad. Though I don't excuse Hikaru for what she did, there's still love between them that I think they should give it another shot
Dragonite: Did he tell you everything that he has to do in order for them to work again?
Nicole: He said there was one thing he didn't want to tell me because he's just trying to enjoy the trip. Did he tell you?
Dragonite: Technically he told Ginga and I overheard, but I'll tell you this before I go back to packing up my stuff, if you really want Kyoya, tell him. You'll miss your chance if you don't tell him anything
Dragonite hugs Nicole before she walks out of the bathroom. Nicole finishes cleaning her face before she heads back to bed. She sees that Kyoya is facing the other way, talking on the phone to someone. As Nicole lays down. Kyoya turns over and ends the call
Kyoya: Hey
Nicole: Who were you talking to?
Kyoya: Ginga. He wanted to know what time is check-out and I wanted to tease him on his sleeping arrangement
Nicole: Okay, well what time is check-out
Kyoya: The latest is noon, but Ry and I agreed on 8 because of the drive back. We want to get back around the afternoon so we can sleep some more
Nicole: I see
Kyoya: You okay?
Nicole: Yeah, why wouldn't I be?
Kyoya: Just because I was sleep doesn't mean I didn't feel you move. You got up like twice to go to the bathroom
Nicole: I'm fine Kyoya, I promise you
Kyoya: Okay
Nicole: Kyoya, I think you should get back with Hikaru
Kyoya: What?
Nicole: Why start something new when you can rebuild what you already have? It'll be better this way
Kyoya: How are you going to tell me what's better for me?
Nicole: I'm your best friend, that's why. And as your best friend, I know what's best for you
Kyoya: You may be my best friend, but you don't always know what's best for me
Nicole: Point is, I think you should go back to her
Kyoya: Is that what you want me to do?
Nicole stays silent as she nods her head. Kyoya sighs as he gets out of bed and starts to pack his stuff
Nicole: What are you doing? You have like 3 hours until it's time to go
Kyoya: You said you know what's best for me? How about you figure out why for yourself?
Kyoya grabs his two bags and walks out of the room. Nicole sighs as she starts to pack her stuff
It's now 8 o'clock as Kyoya and Ginga load everyone's bags into the car as Ryuga is checking out the room. Jamie realizes the awkward tension in the room and tries to relieve it, but Nicole grabs her arm and shakes her head. Dragonite grab both girls by the arm and pull them away from the guys
Dragonite: Why do I feel the tension between you and Kyoya?
Nicole: Maybe because I told him to go back to Hikaru
Jamie: What the fuck?
Back with the guys
Ginga: Wait a minute, she told you to get back with Hikaru
Kyoya: Yes and don't have me repeat it. I'm just as confused as you
Ryuga: Was there a transition to this or?
Kyoya: No, there was no transition at all. After I asked her why she got up two times during the night and she said it's nothing, she goes to say I should get back with Hikaru
Back with the girls
Dragonite: So our talk in the bathroom was just a waste because you still plan on nothing being with him?
Nicole: I don't want him to make any regrets in life
Jamie: Y'all both regret breaking up at Jones. Now you're going to add another to the list of not getting back with you. How do you know he doesn't want to be with you?
Nicole: Guess I'll never know
Back with the guys
Kyoya: You know what, I'm not going to stress. She wants me to go back with Hikaru, then maybe I should
Ginga: Now don't do this to spite her
Kyoya: What is there to spite? Clearly, these two weeks she thinks I spent all my time with her were for nothing. Like even despite the fact that I was on a break with Hikaru that I still had sex with her not one, but four times now. She obviously didn't feel the same way I felt for her. Making a big deal over nothing
Ryuga: Wait, what are you talking about?
Kyoya: She pressed me about how much I love her over Hikaru and when I told her I loved her more, we had sex. But now I'm realized that she fucking used me
Ginga: Don't think of it that way
Kyoya: Then what way is there for me to think?
Back with the girls
Jamie: You know Kyoya more than I do, do you honestly think you two can be friends again?
Nicole: Yes we are going to be friends
Dragonite: No you two won't oh my god Sis! You two won't be friends
Jamie: Why you say that?
Dragonite: Look, while you two were in your own world I was overhearing Kyoya telling Ginga how his conversation with Hikaru went. She has requested before they get back together and thanks to the way you pushed him away, he's just going to say yes to everything
Nicole: And he should in order to make the relationship work?
Dragonite: Even at the cost of him getting engaged to her in like a week and cutting you off completely
Jamie and Nicole: What?
Dragonite walks away to go back to the guys as Jamie and Nicole slowly follow behind. Nicole tries to approach Kyoya but he walks straight to the driver's seat and starts up the car.
Kyoya pulls up to Ginga's place as everyone piles out of the car to grab their things. Nicole grabs Kyoya's arms and pulls him away from the group
Nicole: Why didn't you tell me?
Kyoya: Tell you what?
Nicole: That if you get back with Hikaru you two will be engaged in a week?
Kyoya: So what? Did you not tell me to go back to her just a couple of hours ago? Why do you care anyway?
Nicole: Why are you treating me like this?
Kyoya: I'm not treating you any differently.
Nicole: Yes you are. Besides, can you tell me now about the third thing she made you promise?
Kyoya: Why do you want to know? Besides, you told me I should get back with her anyways so what does the third reason mean to you
Nicole: You said you would tell me
Kyoya: I said a lot of things recently that you suddenly have no care for so this should be one of those things now
Nicole: Kyoya, I do care about you
Kyoya: Only when it benefits you I see
Nicole: What are you
?: Hey
They both look up to see Hikaru with her bag approaching the two of them
Kyoya: Hey, door already open
Hikaru: Cool
Hikaru walks into the passenger seat as Kyoya looks back at Nicole as he slowly approaches her, trapping her against the car. He leans his head down to her ear as he whispers,
Kyoya: I had a feeling that Dragonite told you already so I don't know why you want me to say it aloud. You pushed me away Nicole, now I got to think differently about my choices for what I want. I want you, but I guess I should think otherwise. Jamie already grabbed your bag so there's no need for you to linger around any longer
Kyoya grabs Nicole's chin to have her face him as he sees a similar face to when they broke up. He kisses her as he moves her away from his car. She blinks at him as he walks back to his car and drives off. She grabs her chest as she starts to lean back, but not before she feels someone behind her. She looks up to see that it is Ginga that she is leaning against. She turns into his arms and begins to cry out all of her emotions as Ginga holds her.
