After school Max grabbed his skateboard and started for home. He made a beeline, going through several obstacles he'd normally cut his losses at and avoid, to ensure he got home as soon as possible. Inspite of the expected dangers and a few unexpected hazards he masterfully got through it all and arrived home in record time.
Once home, Max charged through the kitchen, grabbing a snack on the way, and strait to his and PJ's shared room. He immediately inhaled the snack and swung his backpack off his shoulders onto the desk in one smooth motion. He then pulled out his homework and began tearing through it as if it was the most riveting, important set of documents he'd ever seen and his life depended on getting through his homework by six. After he got through his homework, he freshened up and sped of toward the theater.
He arrived at the theater a little before the meeting time and bought tickets for the party. He was about to get in line for snacks when he heard Roxanne and company coming over and decided he'd better give them the tickets before they double paid.
"Hey Roxy, I went ahead and got us the tickets." Max said as he met up with the party and started to hand out the tickets.
"Thanks max. You didn't have to, you know." Roxanne said as she accepted the ticket and tried to cover a blush.
The party proceeded to get snacks and enter the auditorium without further incident. They
went to take their seats and, after some nudging from Stacey, Roxanne sat next to Max, who was at the left end of the group. Throughout most of the movie Roxanne and Max kept their eyes glued to the screen. However about three quarters into the movie Max's arm slowly moved in to initiate a cuddle, which Roxanne quickly leaned into.
