Transformers Fall of Cybertron: Joining the Exodus

Corvowing and his army of Autobots are preparing to use his foreknowledge of the Fall of Cybertron video game to make sure that some things are changed. With Shockwave and the Insecticons as Autobots in this timeline, it's only a matter of time before the Ark leaves Cybertron. Will Corvowing's efforts ensure the arrival to Earth? Rated T. Autobot Starscream and Shockwave AU.

Chapter 2: Metroplex Heeds The Call.

(Author's notes: In this chapter, Corvowing will deftly and secretly plant Pulsar Bombs on the third and final Warp Cannon just in case the Warp Cannon manages to knock Metroplex out. Megatron won't even know what hit him.

(Third person POV...)

Metroplex lowers his hand to the ground to allow Corvowing Prime and Optimus Prime to initiate vehicle mode so they can get to the road and/or the sky since Corvowing literally has a jet mode.

Perceptor contacts the two Primes and says, "Optimus, you and Corvowing need to hurry! The Ark's shielding is about to come apart in fifteen Earth minutes!"

Optimus replies, "Then let's roll out!"

Optimus and Corvowing initiated their vehicle modes, with Corvowing leaving to the final Warp Cannon to do something.

As Optimus drives down the roadways, Perceptor states over the commlink, "Optimus, Corvowing, there are three Warp Cannons in total that are shelling the Ark! I'm uploading their coordinates now."

Optimus bears witness to Corvowing returning in jet mode.

Optimus calls out to Metroplex, "Metroplex, make your way through the ruins of Iacon! We'll do our best to keep up!"

Metroplex replies, "On my way."

Optimus and Corvowing continue on their way to the first Warp Cannon, reprogramming multiple Decepticon Soldiers, Decepticon Shotgunners and Decepticon Rocket Troopers.

Optimus and Corvowing continued driving and flying while keeping up with Metroplex's longer and larger strides.

After stopping at a Decepticon checkpoint, Corvowing and Optimus reprogram every one of the Decepticon troops stationed at the checkpoint.

After reprogramming the last Decepticon Soldier, Optimus and Corvowing continue on their way.

Optimus and Corvowing spy the first Warp Cannon in the long enough distance.

As Corvowing goes on ahead in jet mode and starts reprogramming the Decepticons on the bridge, Optimus calls out, "Metroplex, I have a visual of the first Warp Cannon, but the bridge ahead is out."

As Corvowing finishes up, Metroplex picks up a piece of the partially broken bridge and replies, "Allow me to assist you, Optimus Prime."

Metroplex properly holds the broken bridge part long enough for Optimus to get across.

Optimus switches back to robot mode, and Corvowing lands in robot mode as the two Autobot leaders make their way to an upper level.

As Optimus and Corvowing spy the first Warp Cannon, an Autobot Soldier calls out, "Optimus, Corvowing, that Warp Cannon is too tough! We can't make a dent in it!"

As Optimus and Corvowing get behind cover, Optimus contacts Metroplex and says, "I'm still tapped into your targeting computers, Metroplex! If we resynchronize, I can designate targets for you!"

Metroplex replies, "Target synchronizing initiated."

An Autobot Soldier calls out, "Everybody get down! Incoming Decepticon Leapers!"

Corvowing springs into action, reprogramming every Decepticon Leaper and Decepticon Soldier that was inbound.

After a minute or two, Metroplex stated to Optimus, "Target synchronizing at fifty percent."

Suddenly, even more Decepticon Soldiers and Decepticon Leapers came onto the scene, only for Corvowing to reprogram them.

Corvowing mused that these were among the unfortunate bunch that didn't get an inoculated with Megatron's new immunity to Firefest's reprogramming harpoons.

After another minute, Metroplex announced, "Target synchronizing completed. Awaiting your coordinates, Optimus Prime."

Optimus used his targeting radar synchronized with Metroplex's targeting computers and marked the first Warp Cannon.

Optimus calls out, "Metroplex, take out that Warp Cannon!"

Metroplex replies, "Consider it done."

Metroplex makes his way to the Warp Cannon and rips the blaster part off before ripping more parts off to total it further.

Optimus states, "One down, and two more to go!"

Metroplex replies, "Lead the way, Optimus Prime."

As Optimus and Corvowing take their leave, an Autobot Soldier asks, "Where did that giant come from?"

Optimus and Corvowing navigated through some upper level corridors before encountering a squadron of Decepticons firing on Metroplex.

One Decepticon Soldier snarled, "I don't care where it came from. Shoot it!"

Even the Marauders on the bridge were no match for Metroplex's might.

Optimus and Corvowing started to quickly reprogram the remaining Decepticon troops before encountering one of the batches that are naturally immune to Firefest's reprogramming harpoons.

A Decepticon Soldier calls out, "What the? Behind us!"

Another Decepticon Soldier points out, "It's Optimus Prime and Corvowing Prime!"

The Decepticon Soldiers tried to take on the two Primes, only to be completely trashed by the twosome.

Corvowing forces the exit door open and the two Autobot leaders make their way through to an area where more Decepticon Soldiers are shooting at Metroplex.

One of the Soldiers calls out, "I got a clear shot!"

One of the other Soldiers asks his comrade, "How could you miss your shots at him?!"

Suddenly, Metroplex slams his hand down on the four Decepticon Soldiers.

Optimus remarks solemnly, "Justice in its purest form for the corrupted among you."

Optimus and Corvowing come across a long drop leading to oblivion and an exit door one level below.

The two Autobot leaders carefully navigate their way to the exit door, which is nothing less than a destructible door.

Corvowing simply slices through it with his Energon swords and he and Optimus continue on their way.

As they stumble across a Teletraan terminal, an Autobot ship captain calls out on the commlink, "This is transport nine! We're under heavy fire! I repeat, we're under heavy fire!"

The two Autobots come across an offline Autobot Soldier lying on top of part of a Decepticon dropship.

Optimus and Corvowing kick the dropship part to clear a path, only to witness an Autobot transport crash-landing.

The captain of the ship calls out on the commlink, "We're hit! We're hit! Autobots, brace for crash—"

The captain doesn't finish as the ship crash-lands.

Optimus spies the second Warp Cannon and Corvowing says this time, "Metroplex, maintain your heading. Optimus Prime and I will meet you at the second Warp Cannon."

Metroplex answers, "Affirmative."

Optimus and Corvowing make their way outside the demolished building to see several Decepticon Leapers about to kill some Autobot Soldiers.

Corvowing angrily summons an inFAMOUS Lightning Storm while posing like Cole MacGrath to summon the dangerous Lightning Storm.

The Decepticon troops didn't stand a chance, as the excessive electricity made their bodies explode.

The Lightning Storm swept across the battlefield, wiping out any additional Decepticons foolish enough to come to their comrades' aid.

The continuous bolt of lightning even destroyed two Marauders, causing an Autobot Soldier to call out, "Ha-ha! Those Marauders are scrap!"

Corvowing cancels out his Lightning Storm and activates one of his internal Energon Rechargers to reenergize himself.

As Optimus and Corvowing navigate through the battlefield, a familiar voice rings out, "Optimus! Corvowing! Over here!"

Deciding to investigate, Optimus calls out, "Metroplex, keep the heat on the Decepticons. Corvowing and I'll check on those Autobots!"

Optimus and Corvowing stumble across a group of Autobots commanded by Warpath.

Optimus states sternly, "Warpath! I thought I ordered you to protect the Ark!"

Warpath replies, "I never managed to make it. Besides, even with the superior numbers, we're low on Energon."

Corvowing created from a blue mist a gigantic stack of Energon cubes.

As Warpath's soldiers reenergize, the Defender asks, "So who's your big friend?"

Corvowing answers, "His name's Metroplex. But we can't stay, Warpath. We need to move forward and destroy the last two Warp Cannons before the third one destroys the Ark."

Warpath replies back, "Even though we're grateful for the Energon, there's more Decepticons coming in!"

Optimus states in response, "Then we'll face them together."

Ironhide contacts the two Autobot leaders and says, "Optimus! Corvowing! This is Ironhide! The Ark's shields are nearly gone! There's not much time left!"

Warpath notices a huge squadron of Decepticons approaching as Optimus calls out, "Stand tall, Autobots! Here they come!"

Corvowing helps in destroying the Decepticon troops with his Death Machine Guns, his Fusion Cannons, and the missiles wrapped around the Fusion Cannons.

Soon, a much bigger group of Decepticons accompanied with Marauders required Metroplex to fire artillery on them and Corvowing blew up the rest of them with his Lightning Storm.

Upon seeing the remaining Decepticons retreating, Optimus calls out, "They're retreating!"

Corvowing calls out in response, "That's because the second Warp Cannon is preparing to fire on us!"

Optimus notices and remarks, "I need to get closer to target it for Metroplex."

Corvowing calls out, "Inside! Everybody, inside NOW!"

Every Autobot troop runs into the plaza building just as the Warp Cannon starts firing.

Corvowing casually reprograms the remaining Decepticons into Autobots as Warpath and Optimus encounter a large statue head that looks like Omega Supreme's head.

Warpath asks, "Hey, Optimus, you think you can help me move this?"

Optimus replies, "Let's do it together!"

Optimus and Warpath grab the statue head and roll it to another side with all their effort.

Despite being one of the strongest Autobot soldiers who could possibly surpass Ironhide, Warpath remarked, "Grrrrrrr, it's heavier than it looks!"

Once the statue head is rolled out of the way, Optimus states, "Well met, Warpath. Move forward and keep your optics open for any more Decepticons."

Optimus, Warpath and Corvowing get to the secondary outside part of the plaza and take out the remaining Decepticons.

After the last Decepticon Soldier goes offline, Warpath asks, "Optimus! Are you close enough to mark that Warp Cannon?"

Optimus marks the Warp Cannon and says, "Metroplex, take it out!"

As Metroplex approaches the Warp Cannon, an Autobot Soldier states in shock and awe, "By Primus..."

Metroplex shoulder bashes the Warp Cannon and says, "Target: obliterated."

As Metroplex removes the remaining piece of the destroyed Warp Cannon from the building, Warpath exclaims, "Bam! Where did you two find this guy?"

Corvowing answers, "We found him in stasis lock at the Ark's fueling station and reactivated him."

Optimus announces, "There's still one Warp Cannon left! We must reach it before it destroys the Ark!"

Warpath calls out, "Then let's roll out!"

However, Optimus replies, "Negative, Warpath! See to your soldiers. Metroplex, Corvowing and I can handle it from here."

Warpath replies back, "Oh... him. Sure. Yeah, I guess he's big enough to handle it."

Optimus and Corvowing proceed into the next building where Optimus forces the exit door open.

As the two Autobot leaders proceed through a hallway with a Teletraan terminal inside, the ceiling in front of the two Primes bursts as a squadron of Decepticon Leapers drop into the room.

The leader of the squad says into the commlink, "Roughstuff, we've got Optimus and Corvowing cornered!"

Optimus and Corvowing start backing away unable to do anything. But then, Metroplex's fist bursts through the wall, crushing the Leapers.

As Metroplex retracts his fist, Optimus calls out gratefully, "Thanks for the assist, Metroplex!"

Metroplex replies, "You are most welcome."

Optimus and Corvowing continue onwards and blast through a destructible wall.

Upon spotting a lamppost and getting closer to it, the lamppost transforms to robot mode, revealing the lamppost to be Soundwave.

As Laserbeak returns to Soundwave's chestplate, the Decepticon communications specialist remarks, "Soundwave superior. Autobots inferior."

Soundwave jumps backwards to rendezvous with Megatron at the final Warp Cannon.

Pushing Soundwave's retreat aside for now, Optimus and Corvowing stumble across a sight in the short enough distance: the last Decepticon Warp Cannon on a building with its aim at random Autobot ships.

Optimus remarks, "There – the last Warp Cannon. I'll need to get closer to mark it."

Optimus and Corvowing proceed through some more twists and turns before arriving at the latest battlefield.

Along the way, Corvowing made sure to teleport the corpses of Autobot troops to his field headquarters so he can revive them and rebuild them into more durable military frames.

As the two Autobot leaders stumble across the next battlefield, an Autobot Soldier calls out, "Optimus! Corvowing! That Marauder up ahead has us pinned down!"

Corvowing summons an Ionic Storm and blows the Marauder to pieces.

A Decepticon dropship comes onto the scene, and Corvowing summons another Ionic Storm that makes the dropship explode.

Interesting side-note: Corvowing Prime's powers also include the ones from the inFAMOUS video game series and his Ionic Powers don't require Ionic Charges since the Ray Sphere and Ray Field radiation don't exist in the Transformers universes.

An Autobot Soldier calls out, "The bridge is clear! Go get them, Optimus!"

Optimus and Corvowing go to a position on the bridge that provides a good view on Metroplex and the final Warp Cannon.

Optimus marks the final Warp Cannon and says, "Metroplex, I've marked the final Warp Cannon. Let's finish this now."

Metroplex replies, "Yes, Prime."

Metroplex tries to smash the final Warp Cannon with a downward fist smash, but the Warp Cannon manages to shoot one shot into Metroplex's chestplate.

As Metroplex slowly stumbles, his optics and the red lights on his armor start to flicker.

Optimus cries out, "Metroplex! No!"

Metroplex's lights go out as he falls to the ground.

But somehow, Metroplex's tumble combined with the constant Decepticon gunfire causes the Ark's shields to go bye-bye.

Corvowing remarks, "Well, that didn't work. Onto Plan B."

As Corvowing pulls out his detonator, Ironhide cries out over the commlink, "Optimus! Corvowing! The Ark's shields are down! It's about to get torn apart!"

Corvowing replies, "Calm yourself, Ironhide; I rigged the final Warp Cannon with Pulsar Bombs in case the Cannon managed to overpower Metroplex. And BOOM."

Corvowing presses the detonator button and the Warp Cannon blows up spectacularly.

Some pieces go flying about, but they don't crush any Autobot or Decepticon troops.

Corvowing says, "Now, all that's left is to make sure that the Decepticons can't salvage anything from the useless Warp Cannon to use."

Suddenly, Roughstuff decloaks in front of Optimus and Corvowing, only to shoot Optimus down while saying, "Surprise!"

Corvowing teleports behind Roughstuff and kicks him in the skidplate while saying in response, "Peek-a-boo! I see you!"

Roughstuff snarls as he manages to overpower the Autobot Lieutenant Commander for the first time.

Vortex, Blast Off, Silvercruncher and Tipnose keep him restrained while Onslaught and Brawl do the same for Optimus due to them being stronger than the Autobot leader.

Roughstuff remarks, "Lights out!"

And he kicks Optimus in the faceplate, knocking him out cold.

Roughstuff does the same before Corvowing could even think about teleporting.

A few minutes later, inside the ruins of the Warp Cannon, Ironhide contacts Optimus and Corvowing while asking, "Optimus, Corvowing, do you read me? If either of you read me, the Ark is going critical! You both need to act fast!"

Corvowing and Optimus reboot themselves and awaken while being held by Silvercruncher, Tipnose, Vortex, Blast Off, Onslaught and Brawl as they escort their prisoners to where Megatron is waiting, with Roughstuff leading the way.

Onslaught asks sarcastically, "Well, we enjoy our naps?"

Corvowing growls in response, causing Brawl to snap, "Hey, quiet down, Predacon wannabe!"

Roughstuff comes to a stop and croons, "Lord Megatron, look what we found."

Megatron turns around to see the restrained Autobot leaders and remarks, "Optimus Prime. That is what they call you now, isn't it? Oh, and you brought Corvowing Prime with you. Guess you're not as unstoppable as you believed, are you?"

Corvowing snarled, "F*** you, Megatron."

Corvowing and Optimus are released just in time to be restrained by energy strings keeping their servos lowered and were so strong that only the likes of Grimlock and Corvowing can break out.

Roughstuff arrogantly boasts, "Funny, isn't it, Megatron? How easily I defeated the two adversaries you couldn't!"

Megatron activates his Fusion Cannon and growls, "Silence, you arrogant fool!"

Megatron blasts Roughstuff from behind, sending him flying into a Decepticon Soldier.

Optimus says in protest, "It didn't have to come to this."

Megatron declares in response, "This is what you and the other remaining Primes chose, Optimus Prime, when you defied me! All of THIS is YOUR doing!"

Megatron fires on an Autobot Soldier, killing him instantly.

As Corvowing tries to punch Megatron, the Autobot Lieutenant Commander growls, "I'll not hesitate to kill you myself, Megatron!"

Megatron scoffs, "I'd like to see you try, Corvowing Prime."

Megatron blasts another Autobot Soldier, also killing him instantly.

Optimus protests, "This is needless! All we want is to leave!"

Megatron backhands his former brother-in-arms and says, "Charge up the secondary form of the Warp Cannon! Wipe their precious Ark off the face of Cybertron!"

A Decepticon Soldier calls out, "Yes, sir!"

Corvowing asks confusedly, "Secondary form?"

Megatron replies, "Did you really think your Pulsar Bombs would be able to destroy the Warp Cannon completely? We had come prepared, just like you. Also, NO ONE leaves without MY permission!"

Optimus and Corvowing reply back in unison, "We weren't asking." "We didn't ask for your permission."

Megatron remarks in response, "Always defiant to the end, aren't you, Primes? At every turn, you and your armies have thwarted my efforts to save this planet – to return it to its former glory!"

Corvowing snarls, "You're too arrogant and prideful if you think Dark Energon will help restore Cybertron's Golden Age, f*****."

Optimus had no idea what Corvowing said in terms of the f word, but he could tell it was some sort of swear word.

Megatron roars, "SILENCE! This day, it all ends, Primes! Once and for all!"

Corvowing replies in Cybertronian, "You got that right, Megatron."

Suddenly, Soundwave notices Metroplex rise up and begin to rip the ceiling apart as he destroys the secondary form of the Warp Cannon.

Soundwave exclaims emotionlessly, "Megatron! Look out!"

Megatron whirls around as Metroplex is fully shown and starts firing his Fusion Cannon at the Autobot City Titan.

Noticing none of his Decepticons fighting back against Metroplex, Megatron calls out, "Stop running, you fools! Stand and fight!"

As Megatron continues firing, Corvowing calls out in his demonic voice, "Metroplex! Destroy Megatron!"

Metroplex punches Megatron into the ground, and the impact deactivates Optimus and Corvowing's restraints.

Megatron weakly tries to shoot again as Roughstuff tries to approach Megatron, only for Metroplex to punch Megatron again, completely knocking Roughstuff to the ground.

Metroplex punches Megatron again, and at Corvowing's signal, Metroplex pounds Megatron with his fist in a downward position.

As Metroplex unclenches his fist and pulls back his hand, every Decepticon assembled is shocked at seeing Megatron offline, completely damaged beyond conventional repairs, with his Fusion Cannon destroyed and completely frozen in a pose that looks like he was trying to plead with his hands to get the beating to stop.

Optimus and Corvowing step forward and Corvowing growls, "Leave. NOW. Unless you actually want to share Megatron's fate. It's your final warning."

Roughstuff looks down at Megatron's corpse before looking back at Metroplex with a shocked expression.

Roughstuff then declares, "Decepticons! Megatron has perished, betrayed by his foolish pride and arrogance. I, Roughstuff, am your leader now!"

Roughstuff looks back at Optimus and Corvowing's expressions of stern anger before finishing, "Decepticons, return to base!"

Roughstuff transforms to jet mode and blasts off at full speed, followed by his Seekers and by Blast Off and Vortex.

Soundwave looks somberly at Megatron's corpse before reluctantly leaving as well, wanting to find a more discreet means of reviving Megatron.

As Optimus, Corvowing and Ironhide watch on from Metroplex's shoulder plate, Ironhide remarks, "Now that's a sight my old optics have longed to see for some time."

Corvowing replies, "Enjoy the moment. It almost cost us our future if it weren't for my Matter Duplication Ray."

Ironhide and Optimus inquire in unison, "What do you mean?" "What do you mean?"

Corvowing explains, "My Matter Duplication Ray allowed me to duplicate and mass produce gigantic, galaxy-sized quantities of Energon for the Ark, Shockwave's experiments, and the Autobots that will remain here on Cybertron to defend our home planet from the remaining Decepticons commanded by Lazerwave. I have a hunch that Shockwave is helping Grimlock search for new sources of Energon."

Ironhide sneers, "Grimlock? He deserted us!"

Corvowing explains, "Grimlock was unable to contact us because he's undergoing an experiment with his team by Shockwave to gain new transformations as Triple Changer Dinobots. I'll explain later."

Optimus states, "Either way, Jazz and Cliffjumper are tracking Grimlock and the Dinobots now."

(Author's notes: There you have it, folks: chapter 2 of the story. Megatron is dead... for now, if you follow the original Fall of Cybertron video game closely.

Additionally, some of Corvowing's Aerialbots and some of Corvowing's new siblings will accompany Jazz, Cliffjumper and Sideswipe on their mission. Let's hope they succeed.
