Requests.

Over 1,000 requests were on his desk in the morning, and they were all from High and Ultimate ranked devils who wished to have Naruto marry into their families. Half of the requests were from fathers and the other half were from mothers, but the fact remains that TONS of devils wanted to get their worshipped statue into their bloodline. His human lineage didn't matter at all, because the legend that preceeded him was the bloody history that led humans to ruin many times.

"Lord Sirzechs, Lord Riser is here to see you." Grayfia was in work mode.

"It's about Rias no doubt... I'll hear him out... at the very least this should be a break from all of these complaints and requests." Sirzechs was sick and tired of writing letters to tell all of the families that he had NO say in the matter on who Naruto married. None of them had authority over Naruto because he was a human that might live as part of the culture, but he was still not subject to his rule.

It wasn't like he could order Naruto around, or even WANTED to order him around. Naruto was a damn ninja, if he didn't want to be forced to do something, he could escape and go do what he wanted to do somewhere else.

"Lord Sirzechs."

"I take it you heard the news of your cancelled engagement?" Sirzechs got straight to the point. He was an extremely busy man right now. He made time for friends and family, but as Riser was neither of those, he could stand to be a little shorter with the boy. "... So... what is it?" Sirzechs could see conflict on Riser's face.

He took a deep breath.

"I wish for my engagement to be reinstated to Rias, since my parents had put in a request for Lord Naruto to marry my sister." Riser was calm and polite at least.

He spoke respectfully.

Sirzechs remembered that Riser had been raised to respect the demon god statue just like his entire generation had, and the generation before them. He was not a fool to believe that his Phenex powers would allow him to win against those who outranked him in power or skill. He was just arrogant, which led him to believe himself invincible against those lower in standing to him. In a way he was the perfect representation of their species, respecting those greater than himself and disregarding the useless beings beneath him with no potential.

"I have no say in the matter, your sister will need to propose that Naruto marry her herself. After all, Naruto is a free man. I have no say in who he marries." Sirzechs was going to have to say this a lot, he could see that in his future.

Riser frowned.

"But you wish for him to marry your sister? You show support for that relationship, does that not convey bias on your part?"

Sirzechs was patient.

He was still going to be patient, this was not enough for him to lose his cool. He just leaned forward and placed his hands together, smiling behind them as he looked at Riser. He had expected Riser to ask for the chance to battle Naruto for Rias' hand in marraige, but it would seem that he knew not to do that in this situation. This was a lot more amusing than he thought, and Riser had just made a good point.

"I wish for my friend to marry my sister, and become my brother... I do believe that is what you say I am biased about?" Sirzechs posed the question.

Riser was correct, because that was exactly the outcome he was biased towards. Riser was arrogant, but he actually was intelligent. He was smart enough to see the truth in several matters, but his arrogance clouded his judgement when he deal with Low and Mid class devils. It was a matter of him being a remarkable devil of their species that made him so prideful and arrogant, and it was why Riser was very popular among their species.

Rias didn't like him, but that was because she didn't want to become a trophy wife, she had no personal issues with Riser as a person.

"I believe you're providing more than just bias, you are activelly pushing the two of them together. Many, not myself of course, believe that this is a power move to ensure that the next Lucifer will be another Gremory like yourself... the child between Naruto and ANY of our species will surely be a devil far above the rest. It causes many of our species to... worry about the possible outcome of a single family having too much political power." Riser spoke as he bowed, and he MADE sure to divert the blame to others.

Sirzechs noticed that he had not named the others who thought this, but he would play this game with Riser. It also wasn't a joke, and could become a real problem if it were not addressed properly. He knew that many of the top families would fear the poltical power the family that gained Naruto would be able to seize for themselves.

It could change their poltical system completely.

"Yes... but what does that have to do with you marrying Rias?" Sirzechs could see through this part as well.

Naruto wasn't a Devil, so by their legal system he could not marry multiple women. He would be forced to marry the human way, which was to a single wife. If that wife was Ravel Phenex, then of course Rias would not be able to marry Naruto. Naruto being human, and respected, AND desired by his people was a real problem for him. Things would just be so simple if he could be turned into a devil.

But he could not.

The Evil Pieces were not designed to work on whatever it was that Naruto was, just like how it could not transform gods due to it not being designed to be able to do such a thing, Naruto was an entirely different breed of human. Queens, Rooks, Knights, Bishops, Pawns, and Mutation pieces couldn't do anything for him because they just weren't powerful enough to bind him, transform him, and they weren't stable due to the fact they weren't designed to be used on him.

It would take drastic measures to be able to turn him, and for them to use a piece that no normal Devil had access to.

Even that was a long shot.

"He is human, he is the one who will lead us into the new age of our people, but he is very human. He will grow old, he will age, but most of all our laws do not allow humans to form harems. Just like how the Four Great Demon Kings may not form harems, does the same rule not apply to him? His politcal power is surely equal to your own... he is a free man, but if he were to command it, would our people not follow his words as law?" Riser spoke as he moved closer to the desk.

He raised a good point, which really sucked for Sirzechs.

He did not share this information with Naruto, because he didn't want to stress Naruto out, but the reason he was keeping Naruto away from other devils that he didn't NEED to see was because he didn't want Naruto to accidentally say the wrong thing. Naruto's words were going to have powerful effects on the minds of his people. The years he spent manipulating his species into worshipping Naruto, those years of trying to change his people for the better was coming back to bite him in the ass.

Riser didn't come up with this on his own, those words were very carefully chosen ahead of time. Riser was very smart, but he was not this smart.

Somebody was plotting behind the scenes.

Somebody was trying to get Naruto married quickly and introduce him to the devil people, and possibly say the wrong thing to spark chaos among themselves. He could not understand the end game of this move, but it was clear that it wasn't somebody who saw things the same way.

'No... by moving Naruto into the public eye, it would make it even easier for somebody to manipulate him with words. Naruto could be put into a position where he could destroy our politics... this is the Old Satan Faction at work.' Sirzechs could see that somebody from his old enemies had decided they would use this chance to step up. "Riser... what do you wish for me to tell you?" Sirzechs asked as he stood up.

He was a lot more serious.

"... I would like to marry Rias again."

"Then go talk to Rias, not me. I am not Sirzechs Gremory, I am Sirzechs Lucifer. I have no say in the matters of the Gremory family anymore." Sirzechs was done with this conversation now. At first he thought the conversation would be something that would amuse him, but now he could see that something far darker was at play behind the scenes.

"Yes... yes Lord Sirzechs."

With that Riser left.

"Grayfia, go and get the other Demon Kings... I have to let them know that the Old Satan Faction is making a move. Spread a rumor that Naruto is currently touring the world... leak fake information about him going to another country." Sirzechs could make that move to start with. If anyone acted on the leaked information, even to check if it were true, then that would allow him to root out a spy or two and possibly get information.

He didn't believe that the enemy was dumb enough to take the bait, but it didn't hurt to try it out. At the very least, by putting false leaks out it would alert the enemy to the fact they were aware of them. That could force them to delay their plans, or even abandon them completely if their numbers weren't strong enough.

"Yes, Lord Sirzechs."

"Times are changing... the Boosted Gear is active, and the Divine Dividing is active as well. All of the God slaying Sacred Gears have users now, the Truce is more stressed than ever, and the Old Satan faction is scheming... this is the time that Naruto woke up. A time when everything is uncertain and dangerous... heh... Ajuka doesn't believe in prophecy, but I do." Sirzechs could see that everything happening at the same time could not just be a coincidence anymore. All of things changes had never lined up at the same time.

Yet THIS was when Naruto became flesh again, during the time when he could be needed the most.

Naruto could lead them into destruction or salvation.

"... Sister... I leave this in your hands."

He was going to push for salvation with all his might.

Even if it cost him his life to do it.
