The scent of blood in the air.

Not a smell that a person could easily forget, not when you lived a life that was filled with the scent of blood. Naruto was just walking in the middle of the night, simply walking, when he came across the scent of blood. He really needed that walk to try and calm himself down from the mental stress he had put himself under by becoming a bar of soap.

After the couch incident too.

'Looks like I was too late to stop this guy from biting the dust.' Naruto thought as he looked down at the dead man.

Priest robes, these guys were the enemies of devils. Of course, naturally that did NOT make them his enemy as well since he didn't believe in any of that crap that people needed to be enemies. He had sword slashes through parts of his body. Naruto could only pity the man, since whoever killed him was a complete asshole.

"These wounds aren't instant death... this person wanted to cause pain and suffering... this man was treated like a toy." Naruto traced the bloody wound with his fingers. There were enough wounds that it was clear he was dealing with a professional asshole. Not a professional killer, but a guy that was a pro at killing people in ways that caused as much pain as possible. "... This is sick." Naruto may be a ninja, but even ninja had standards.

Most ninja believed in killing with as little pain as possible, because inflicting extra pain to your enemies just gave them more chances to kill you as well. Instant killing techniques were far more common than the kind of torture battle style that this person had used. It was a disgusting lack of moral fiber.

"With my luck, I'm going to get blamed for this when somebody comes strolling along in 3... 2... 1..." Naruto stood up and turned around, expecting to see somebody standing there with a look of rage in their eyes.

He was incorrect, which was a good thing. Naruto jumped to the side when a sword stabbed into the ground where he had been standing, a very big sword at that. Naruto both smiled to himself and gave himself a feeling of nostalgia at this familiar feeling of being blamed for something that he didn't do.

"You... you sadistic villain!"

"Yep, yep... so we going to fight?" Naruto asked, since he wasn't going to bother explaining how he was innocent. He knew the pattern very well, he had experienced it quite a few times in his life even if he didn't remember it clearly. The misunderstanding was not going to get cleared up until after somebody wasn't able to fight anymore, and was forced to listen to the other side of the story. "Just want to give you a heads up, I'm not going to kill either of you for this misunderstanding, and I completely understand why you are angry at me." Naruto did comment about that.

2 girls.

2 girls about his physical age, and sadly for him they were the same height as he was. He hated his late bloomer genetics a lot, but the fact that the average girl in this timeline was about as tall as he was just rubbed him the wrong way. One of the girls wielded a katana style blade, while the other wielded a massive sword nearly as thick as she was, and with a great length to it. He was surprised her thin arms could lift the sword at all, but she was clearly athletic.

"You're oddly calm for being caught in the act... surrender the Excalibur swords you stole, and we will be merciful." Blue haired girl with big boobs spoke, she had a green fringe to her hair. Naruto reached up and grabbed a couple of strands of his own hair.

"That is so cool looking." Naruto whispered.

He should dye part of his hair another color too, he could imagine a couple of colors he would like to go with. Maybe dye a small amount of his hair red, he just liked the idea of that. Naruto grabbed the katana wielding girl's sword by clapping his hands on the blade. He then hopped up and kicked the girl in the chin, sending her flying away from him. Spinning the sword into his hand, Naruto stabbed it into the ground by the blade.

"Be careful Xenovia, he doesn't drop his guard easily."

"Got it Irina."

"That's very smart, attacking when my guard is down... the only person I've fought since coming here is Sairaorg, so I expected everyone to be power idiots like me." Naruto saw Xenovia jump into the air and try to bring her sword down on him. She was taking the very straight forward approach to battle.

He liked that.

She turned her sword so the flat was facing him when he swung his fist at her, and his fist collided with the metal. She was knocked backwards, with her sword nearly getting knocked from her hands by the force of the punch.

"Ow... ow... damnit that metal is hard." Naruto waved his fist back and forth. His punch should have shattered the sword with the amount of force he put into that. He stepped to the side when Irina showed up at his side, with her sword back in her hands. She was already in the middle of her swing, and he ducked underneath her blade.

That was how they fought together.

Xenovia seemed to be powerful, upfront with her attacks, and capable of keeping an enemy distracted or defeated. Irina was speedy and had more technique to her, with that technique she could fill in the gaps that Xenovia had with her lack of technique. They were a very well formed team that covered each other's weaknesses. Even now Xenovia was moving to slash at him when she thought he was going to attack Irina, but Irina switched her grip on her sword and stepped forward to take another swing at him.

'We've got him.'

Xenovia landed in front of Irina and blocked an attack that was aimed at her chin. Irina crashed into Xenovia's body, and both of them were sent flying backwards by the attack that she blocked. They stayed on their feet, and Naruto pulled his fist back.

"He's faster than you are." Xenovia stated as she huffed, taking in a deep breath. Her arms were trembling under the strength it needed to block those punches. She wasn't even insulting Irina, she was just stating the facts. "He's faster than you, and stronger than me... but he is underestimating us." Xenovia whispered lower.

This man wasn't moving closer to attack them.

"I'm actually taking you very seriously right now!" Naruto called out to them. He wasn't exactly pulling his punches, but he didn't want to kill them either. True, he could defeat them rather easily, but he didn't know how durable they were. He couldn't use lethal force and not expect it to kill them if he wasn't careful. "But there is a difference between being serious, and going for the kill... and I don't know what secrets those swords have." Naruto explained that to them.

He didn't want them to feel like he was underestimating them, and let them try and take advantage of that. You could fight an opponent with less than full power and now be an asshole for underestimating the enemy.

"We might need to fall back." Irina realized they were in over their heads.

Naruto smiled sadly.

"Sadly, I'm not going to let you do that either. I really do want to clear this situation up, so I need to defeat you two here so I can explain why you don't understand what is happening."

"That doesn't make sense!"

"It makes sense to me." Naruto responded as he rushed forward towards them. 'Non-lethal force... non-lethal.' Naruto ran behind Xenovia, using her body as cover, and smacked Irina in the side of the head. Her sword fell out of her grasp as her body hit the pavement, her eyes rolled into the back of her head.

"Irina, watch ou-"

Xenovia's sword went flying out of her hands when Naruto kicked her in the forearm, and he grabbed her by her face. Jumping up into the air, he let go of her face and put the palm of his hand on her stomach. He flung her to the ground and she landed in a crater created by her own body, and the second she went to recover from the impact, Naruto's knee landed against her gut and knocked all of the air out of her body.

Somehow, she was still conscious.

This girl was a damn durable one for sure, Irina was a better swordsman, but this girl was clearly the power idiot of the two. Able to take hits like a champ and dish them out just as well as she took them.

"Those wounds... WAIT STOP!"

"Sorry."

Naruto punched her in the face.

"GAH!"

"SORRY, I don't know how hard to hit you!" Naruto punched her in the face again. It was really hard to judge how durable she really was, so he was going to have to keep increasing the power bit by bit until he hit her with the right amount of force that was needed to take her out.

"Stop hitting me, you're innocent, I get it!"

"You're willing to listen?" Naruto asked her in surprise, because she hadn't even been knocked out yet. He realized that she was right next to the dead priest body, and she was getting a great view of it right now. "Ah... you're not super stubborn about this misunderstanding." Naruto realized something that was a little startling.

She was stubborn, but not so stubborn that she would refuse to listen to somebody that she misjudged based on her own misunderstanding.

"Those wounds were caused by swords, and you fight with your fists... so stop punching me." Xenovia's nose was bloody, and her cheek was swelling up. She was dumb, but not so dumb that she couldn't realize the guy that was apologizing for having to hit her in the face wasn't the sadistic person who inflicted these wounds on their comrade.

Naruto unballed his fist and rubbed the back of his head.

"W... wow... I thought was going to have to tie you girls up... I'm... I'm a little surprised." Naruto expected this to follow the usual pattern. He got off of Xenovia, and allowed her to stand up by herself.

"Can I punch you for punching me?"

"Sure, go for it." Naruto stated, since he had caused her unneeded pain. It seemed that she had realized the truth before he punched her face the first time. He had no noticed that, and was more than happy to accept punishment for it. He gave her a thumbs up of approval, Naruto got his body ready and lowered his guard. "I'm not going to dodge, I'm not going to enhance myself, and I'm going to drop my guard for this just to make sure it hurts." Naruto shook himself and got his nerves ready to take it.

*PUNCH*

"OW! I punched you in the nose and the cheek, don't punch me in the eye!... But I guess this is fair." Naruto rubbed his eye and grinned at her. She crossed her arms under her chest and nodded, before she looked down at Irina still knocked out.

She glanced at Naruto.

"You are human right?"

"I'm human." Naruto confirmed for her.

"Good, that makes things easier... but what is an enhanced person like yourself doing here. This is devil territory, we're only here for a mission." Xenovia stated as she did show that she was suspicious of him. He had a lot of power, and him being in the city alone was enough to cause suspicion.

Naruto laughed.

"I'm just here to prank the devils that live here, I wanted to have a little fun... then when I was walking I came across this guy. I didn't see who did it, but it seems that the two of you know what is going on."

"Freed... the Fallen Angel Kokabiel has stolen 3 of the church's Excalibur swords. We are here to defeat him and collect the swords... or die trying. I would rather avoid dying, so can I count on you for help? We want to avoid war, the more help the better." Xenovia extended a hand to Naruto.

No hesitation, he took her hand.

"Sure, you've got my help if you really want it." Naruto didn't want any war either, even if it wasn't going to effect him. "Uuuuuuuh... you have another change of clothes?" Naruto looked down at her, and he saw a giant rip going across her chest, revealing one of her boobs to him. His cheeks were turning red, since he had not noticed that at some point she had been revealed. Xenovia just threw her cloak back over her shoulders.

"I'll change when I-" Xenovia lifted Irina and put her over her shoulder. "-get back to base. I'll see you later." Xenovia turned and started to walk away.

Naruto raised an eyebrow.

"... This... I literally just saw her entire boob... and she didn't punch me for it. What is wrong with this era?" Naruto had been punished for punching her face when she had been trying to stop him, but for some reason he didn't get punished when he literally ripped open her clothes by accident and got a full display of one of her boobs. If he had so much as seen another girl's bra from his era, he would have been punched across the village for it. "... it's kind of freaking me out... Rias wasn't even shy when she thought I was the soap." Naruto had to deal with that later as well.

Naruto blinked.

"PFFFFFFFT!?"

Irina's ass was on full display as the backside of her uniform was torn right open, giving everyone that was behind Xenovia the chance to see the goods.

"Are these clothes made of paper?"

Naruto looked at his own clothes, and saw that the right sleeve of his shirt was destroyed from when he put too much force into one of his punches. He looked at the shirt in shock, before he palmed his face.

He NEEDED to find some durable clothes.
