Transformers Fall of Cybertron: Joining the Exodus.

Chapter 6: Belly of the Beast.

(Author's notes: In this chapter, it'll be discovered on Swindle's part that the transport tanker runs on a gigantic amount of Energon.

Enjoy chapter 6.)

As the Decepticon army watches and waits for the transport to come across them, Roughstuff steps forward and declares, "Finally, the bridge is destroyed! Decepticons, the time to attack is NOW!"

Onslaught points out, "Wait, what?! Roughstuff, Blast Off eyed their defenses! The transport's anti-aircraft guns will shred you and the others to bits!"

Roughstuff replies rebukingly, "I have no patience for your cowardice, Onslaught!"

Roughstuff continues as the Decepticon army looms behind him, "Decepticons! It is now time to reclaim the Energon that is rightfully ours!"

Roughstuff transforms into his jet mode and leads the charge as he exclaims, "Decepticons! Attack! ATTACK!"

The transport's anti-aircraft guns activate and shoot down various Decepticon Seekers and Dropships, much to Onslaught's frustration.

Onslaught states, "Idiot! Blast Off, Swindle, it's time to salvage this mess!"

Swindle replies from his position, "We're moving into position now, Onslaught!"

Blast Off zooms by in spaceplane mode and Swindle grapples onto his fellow Combaticon with his grappling hook.

Swindle hangs on from Blast Off's wings, completely using different maneuvers and positions on Blast Off's vehicle mode to dodge all of the gunfire and the Decepticon Seekers that were shot down.

Eventually, Blast Off drops Swindle off at the far back of the transport, and Swindle transforms to vehicle mode.

As Swindle activates his fully automated machine gun to fire on the Autobot Scouts sent to intercept him, Onslaught contacts his comrade and says, "Swindle, drive to the underbelly of the transport and see if you can't find a chink in its armor."

Roughstuff is heard saying, "Arrrrgggh! Their firepower is too much!"

A Decepticon is heard asking, "Ugh! Roughstuff, what did you get us into?!"

Roughstuff replies, "Just keep firing, soldier!"

Onslaught advises his comrade, "Ignore the slaughter. Get a move on, Swindle!"

Swindle replies, "Yep, Roughstuff's getting smacked real good. So, umm... how do I stop this thing?"

Onslaught replies back, "Swindle, hit the back wheels. See what you can do to slow it down."

Swindle advises, "I'll blast the wheel struts!"

Onslaught replies, "Good idea! Take all four of them out, and hurry – I'm detecting acid pools dead ahead."

Swindle manages to blast the back wheel struts while taking care of any Autobot nuisances along the way.

Swindle contacts Onslaught and advises, "Onslaught, the back wheels are offline, but those acid pools are gonna make it tricky to get to the front!"

Onslaught replies, "Try using your grappling hook, Swindle."

Swindle replies back, "Right. I'll blast me some Autobots on the way!"

Onslaught advises, "Be careful, Swindle; that acid will eat you alive!"

Brawl asks over the commlink, "You do realize that acid does more than just singe your paint job, right?"

Swindle manages to use his grappling hook to get to the front of the transport while avoiding the acid pools and taking out a new breed of Aerialbots that fire sticky grenades which can only be dislodged by the target transforming, in addition to shockwave blasts that can jam a Transformer's Special Ability.

Along the way, much to his surprise, Swindle discovers that the transport is carrying a gigantic amount of Energon.

He relays this to Onslaught, who happily replies that the more Energon is on that transport means more Decepticons will have their Energon hunger satiated.

Swindle reverts to vehicle mode and continues driving alongside the transport's front wheels as he calls out over the commlink, "Onslaught, the front wheel struts are just ahead! Time to finish this thing off!"

Onslaught replies, "Heads up, Swindle! More Autobots on the way!"

Swindle successfully destroys the wheel struts while dealing with the Autobot forces sent to stop him.

After the transport comes to a stop, two Autobot Titans are deployed to deal with the Combaticon munitions expert.

Swindle manages to deal with them while taking into account the series of helper repair drones the Titans occasionally deploy to heal them of severe damages.

Swindle changes to robot mode and bears witness as the giant Autobot Energon transport tanker slowly initiates its transformation to its flight mode.

Swindle manages to grapple onto the transport before it can fly far enough away from him despite being slow, heavy and cumbersome.

To be continued...

(Author's notes: In the next chapter, Bruticus will successfully take down the Autobot transport, but the controlled crash won't ever destroy even half of the Energon supply in THIS timeline.

See you all in chapter 7: Combaticons Combine!)
