Karas the Mystic

ESKK: Hey folks it's me with a brand new fic. I hope I will do right by it since lately I've had a muse for Tatsunoko based works. Now then let us begin this story. Also before anyone askes this fic takes place in the same universe as my Tekkaman Prime story and my reasons for that… well just wait and see folks.

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or Karas. Also a good chunk of this chapter was copied and pasted with permission from the Author of Rule of Three named NCP18. Now let's get started with this fic.

(Start Night London Skies)

It was a full moon night as the moon as the skies were filed with clouds over the City London. City lights shined as the people in them went about their days unaware of the truth of their world and the city. But more to this as naked to the regular eye a battle was taking place in their starry skies. For in the clouds a battle was occurring as flashes of light from the collision of blades were seen. In the skies two jet like fighters were flying about as they had a dog fight against each other. One had a violet glow while the other had a crimson glow to him before a flash of light and the two jets had become two armored warriors. Their armor were akin to that of crows as they did battle.

The two slashed and hacked at each other intent on ending the other. Just then one of them reverted to their jet form and once more continued their dogfight via chasing his foe who was currently in freefall. As the slimmer warrior fell he easily slashed through the oncoming attacks with a Katana weapon before changing back into his jet form and flew after his foe. As they flew upward the slender warrior reverted to his humanoid form and flipped in the sky before the Moon which shined down on him.

The two warriors flew at each other and in turn continued their battle of blades but it was clear the slender warrior was being pushed to his limits by his larger foe. The larger warrior flew at the opposing swordsman and send powerful kicks at him as they fell closer and closer to City below. He then summoned energy daggers and sent them at his opponent who transformed into his jet form and began to perform evasive maneuvers. He then returned to his humanoid form and slashed through the last few showing he would not give up the battle so easily. The two continued their sword fight while in free fall as the city below was left unaware of what was going on. The two were back in their jet forms and continued their battle as a dog fight once more.

To everyone down below it was just a normal evening of shopping, driving, and the occasional drunks. But suddenly everything halted to a crawl and in turn the battle reached the city itself. The slender warrior landed on a patrol vehicle which fractured and dented but not enough to harm the civilians. This warrior was trying to protect them from his opponent who did not share his sentiment of the matter. The warrior then looked and saw his foe was approaching and thus sprang back into action knowing there were others who hand the civilians covered.

Time resumed and disaster struck as no one knew what happened save for beams of light reigning down from above. Emergency services were already underway as whatever happened was a freak incident of randomness.

Meanwhile the two warriors in jet form again flew between the buildings before the slender one who had been chased turned into a drill of feathers. The violet eyed foe fired upon it before the slender warrior landed on a building side nearby and grinded against it to halt himself when he had reverted to his humanoid form. In response his foe continued firing on him forcing the unnamed warrior to run up the building to avoid the attack coming down upon him. The attack caused a great deal of explosions despite time for them seemingly being halted.

But eventually the wear and tear took hold as we soon found the, would be hero using his katana to hold himself up while he tried to catch his breath. But as the hero was catching his breath from his hiding spot his foe appeared grabbing the armored figure from behind. In turn he began to struggle to get free but his foe would not let him go. "This is just the beginning." The warrior said to his captive while holding him close so he could speak to his ear before dropping him and then following after him.

As the smaller warrior fell he quickly acted and sent a chain out which hit the building and swung himself upward to face his opponent. As they flew up the two went and performed a kick attack at each other with explosions going off around them from their battle. Their armored feet clanked against each other before they proceeded to kick at each other midair. But alas the larger of the two gained the upper hand as he glared at his soon to be next victim with his two eyes, one regular and one seemingly cybernetic. He kicked his opponent to the distance but he was not out yet.

They once more charged at each other and began slashing at each other with their swords. But soon the battle came to an end as they parted ways and in a flash the dark warrior drew his sword and threw it at his opponent where it spin. Following it up was a series of hand signs and with it a spell of sorts that made the spinning sword go from one to two. The twin blades of the dark warrior sliced his foes arms off as the power of the attack sent him away where he landed and indented into the wall as his helmet shattered. The unknown warrior walked torts his defeated foe with his sword at the ready and looked at is foes own blade which stabbed into the ground near him with the hand still attached to it. But the arm vanished in a flurry of feathers as he took the sword from the ground. He even saw the fear in the man's eyes as the dark warrior then smirked and then with his opponents own sword casually tossed the weapon to the wall where it stabbed.

"Are you afraid?" The dark Warrior asked his defeated opponent. "I will show you the meaning of fear." He responded without waiting for an answer and thus took a ready stance. He then ended his opponent's life with a quick clean cut. He saw no point in prolonging his suffering anymore and the only sound heard from it was his foes death scream. The Dark Warrior turned around and began to walk away while elegantly sheathing his blade as the crow themed lord made it clear he was the victor.

Nearby a young girl laid against the wall, her hair cut and her life ended at the same time the, would be heroes life ended. Soon a group of unknown people walked forth and as the weapon sheathed on his back the eye on the hilt shifted and thus the armor vanished in a flurry of golden energy feathers. Under the armor was a face very few knew and even fewer knew the origin of. This young man of 17 or 18 years of age was none other them Tom Marvello Riddle Jr. He sighed a bit calming his beating heart as he stood tall glaring down upon the city.

"These people they had nary an idea of the privilege it is to live in this world." Tom began as he was seen wearing a duster with his hands casually in his pocket. "What a fool I was and eventually became." Tom said as he looked upon his hands calmly. "I who sought eternity did not truly understand the full weight of it and the Eldritch World that coexists alongside our world." He said almost scolding himself for such arrogance. "But looking at it now all I see is a cesspool of corruption that must be purged." He said before looking down upon an amulet in his hand that showed a blinking eye in it.

"Lord Riddle our strength is yours to command." The group behind Tom said as they kneeled before his power.

"Good once my… lesser half is dealt with and those abominations he had created this world will be reminded the folly of their sins." Tom said as he held his amulet skyward allowing it to light the dark sky above with the vow to destroy the creature he had begot so long ago and in turn destroy the abominations this same creature had begot.

(Scene Break St. Mugo's July 4th 1995)

The Welcome Witch was not in a welcoming mood.

Mirabella Sawbridge never usually was; the job of receiving and sorting the injured and sick that made their way to her desk wasn't exactly designed to improve one's disposition, but on this night it was even worse than it usually was. After nearly two decades of paying her dues, she honestly thought she'd be past working the overnight shift at the reception area for St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. There were other, newer witches who had never completed their apprenticeships and were unsuited to most other jobs in the magical world who were willing to work the overnight shift, leaving more senior staff members like her to work the busier day slot. Yet here she was after making what she now had to admit was one of the more foolish trades she ever had.

As she looked around the reception area, she heard someone approaching. "Hey Mira," her friend Leona Rothley greeted as she came up to the desk, "I haven't seen you in a few weeks! How's the night shift treating you?"

"Ugh," Mira tried to smother her yawn with a disgusted groan and was only partially successful, "Like a hippogriff treats a Malfoy. Were we this tired during our training?"

Her friend began to chuckle, the report of young Malfoy's injuries still made the rounds. It was great for a laugh, and no one had quite figured how Poppy Pomfrey had managed to make such ludicrous claims sound so professional.

"Yeah, but that was twenty years ago. We used to work all night and then hit up the Leaky Cauldron for beer and breakfast. Can't really do that anymore," she finished with a rub of the dark circles under her green eyes.

With a half-hearted raspberry for her friend, Mira put her head in her hands. "I haven't been this bored since the Merlin-be-damned tournament up at Hogwarts."

"I heard there were plenty of fireworks up there," countered Leona as she leaned against the desk.

Mira snorted. "Yeah, I read the Prophet too, but it all happened afterward. I would love to get my hands on the dickhead that was responsible for designing that tournament."

"What are you talking about?"

"I traded shifts, cashed in holidays, and called in a few favors to get time off so I could head up to watch the end of the tournament, and whatever moron designed the tournament made it so that the last event was a hedge maze."

Leona had to smother a chuckle at her friend's obvious irritation

Seeing her friend try to remain calm at her annoyance broke Mira's frustration, and she had to laugh along with Leona. "A bloody hedge maze! Thirty feet high! Once the champions went into the maze we couldn't see a thing!"

"So you were sitting in the stands…" Leona trailed off as her chuckles moved into giggles.

"…with nothing to do!" finished Mira.

She tried as hard as she could to hold onto her pique, but faced with such blatant amusement, she broke. Their laughter echoed in the mostly-empty reception area before Mira calmed herself down, wiping her eyes. "That was such a waste of a traded shift. The only reason I'm working these overnight shifts is to pay my end of the trade. I didn't even get to see who won; somehow there was this massive delay in the maze, and I had to get back here before they even had the winner."

"So you weren't there for all the drama when Potter reappeared with his dead friend, claiming You-Know-Who is back?"

"Are you kidding? Part of my arrangement was to get back here to take over the night shift that night. I figured the Tournament would be over in time for me to apparate. I had to read about it in the Prophet like everyone else," Mira groaned.

"That has to be the worst vacation ever," Leona sympathized, somehow without showing any traces of sympathy.

"It certainly wasn't worth the effort I put into it," agreed Mira.

Leona offered a small smile. "Well, think about it like this," she cast a quick Tempus charm, "It's already half past one, you've only got about five and a half hours to go before shift change, and then you're home free."

Just the mention of getting home to her soft bed had Mira rubbing her eyes with another yawn. "I still don't know how you guys can handle the night shift. I would be completely useless. Guess I'm not as strong as you are," she finished, letting her hands move up to her short blonde hair, trying to wake herself up with a scalp massage. "Maybe I should try to get my hands on some muggle coffee."

Leona gave a knowing smile. "If you end up with any more of these shifts it would be a good idea. Potion brewing requires total focus so I have to be alert. Coffee is a blessing. Tea, as much as I love it, is pretty much useless after about the second night, and I'm so sick of hearing another warning on 'the dangers of overusing pepper-up potions' that it's worth avoiding just for that reason."

"Right along with the cleanliness of cauldrons and the need for antidotes to be administered by competent healers," Mira finished.

Before they could continue their chat, the entrance chimed to signal the entry of a new patient. Leona took one look at the man staggering into the reception area and broke into new chuckles. She tapped the countertop to punctuate their chat and made her way back in the direction of her potions lab.

Mira readied herself for the incoming guest. Nighttime in muggle hospitals was somewhat quieter than the day period – depending on the population density of the local area – but with St. Mungo's being the only hospital in magical Britain, there never really was any down time. The chat she just had with her friend was about the extent of any calm she would see that night.

One of the hospital's most frequent patients, Derwent Gorman was a familiar face to most of St. Mungo's staff. Lank, weedy hair hung down limply most of the time, framing a gaunt face that silently spoke to the desperation of too many nights without the galleons to pay for a decent meal. His frame gave the same impression. Derwent's visits almost always involved the ill after-effects of some hare-brained scheme designed to profit for a few galleons.

This visit appeared to be no different. His usually limp hair shot straight out behind his head while soot covered his face. Derwent limped into the reception area, carrying a cloak of some kind with him. "What brings you to us tonight, Mister Gorman?"

"I was so close to finishing my Elixir of Life. I really thought I had it this time, but I stored my potion too close to the Bloodstone Cloak so they both, sort of, exploded."

Stifling the laugh she so richly wanted to let escape, Mira noted his information down on her parchment. "You know the drill. Have a seat over in those chairs so one of the staff can have a look at you before sending you on to the Potions Accident ward," she indicated the small waiting area where poisoning, accident, or spell damage victims were examined by the witches and wizards in their lime-green robes.

Her earlier scalp massage didn't have the effect Mira was hoping for, so she leaned back against her uncomfortable chair and yawned, stretching her limbs as far as they would go. Three more days of the vampire shifts beckoned, then she had one whole day off to get her body clock back on its routine before she went back to daylight hours. The chaos wouldn't be welcome, but the satisfaction of doing what she could to help treat people who needed it, and getting her normal sleep pattern back, would be. Anything had to be better than working overnight.

Without warning, her peripheral vision caught a small figure staggering into the reception area through the exterior window. Pain spiked through her own neck as she snapped back to attention, watching the newcomer. His gait was broken, and from the way he tried to lean on a wall only he could feel Mira could tell he was in extreme pain. His clothes hung off his body, made for someone at least twice his size and giving him the appearance of being even smaller than he actually was.

"Help…me," he slurred, grunting a chest-wracking cough with the effort.

The boy looked to be young, in his early teen years. He'd be in his first few years at Hogwarts if she was pressed. His hair was dark, but whether it was black or brown was impossible to tell with how much dirt and mud were caked on his head. It wasn't the dark shade that fixed her attention, however; it was the red. Blood poured from numerous head lacerations, obscuring his features in a mask of rust-colored stains. The effort of making his earlier plea for help had a fresh trickle running down from the side of his mouth.

Bruises spread around his face, from his jaw up to his eye area, making him look like a raccoon if said creature had been involuntarily introduced to the business end of a brick wall.

The boy was thin too; almost emaciated, Mira corrected herself. The way his muggle clothes were hanging off of him, she figured that beneath the material his ribs would be visible. From the way he was holding his left arm in close to his body, she was positive that it was broken, even without examining him. Angling his body away from himself made it appear as if he was trying to get away from the pain. As she began to rise to help him, he spat out a couple teeth in a cloud of blood.

"Please," he pleaded once more before collapsing to the floor.

Taking her wand, she stabbed an emergency notification rune on her desk and rushed over to the boy. The alert she'd just activated drew three medi-witches over from the waiting area at a run. "This case needs immediate treatment. He's got an extreme amount of trauma."

"Good call, Welcome Witch Sawbridge," the senior member of the team replied, "We'll take it from here." She cast a Mobilicorpus charm to levitate the patient and the three of them moved off at a run.

Only when she went over her memory of the event did she realize the identity of the boy.

"Shit!" Mira's wand shot out with her Patronus fox carrying a message that the critical case they just took back was none other than Harry Potter. Her final act, before returning to the desk, was to send off another Patronus. This time to Wizarding Protective Services, it was standard procedure when a minor was admitted with no accompanying guardian.

The Emergency Care ward resembled an ant colony that had been kicked over, with all the ants scurrying around. The sudden arrival of a patient in their Emergency Treatment section needing immediate care was nothing new; that was the function of that particular area of the unit. The appearance of their newest patient indicated something out of the ordinary, and the medi-wizards and medi-witches went into their highest gear at the sight.

Graham Osset, the medi-wizard in charge of the ward for that shift, moved over to the newly-occupied bed as the Welcome Witch's Patronus materialized through the wall, informing him in its ethereal voice that his new patient was none other than Harry Potter.

Summoning a Dicta-Quill and pad from his bag, he activated the writing tool. Osset pulled out his wand and started dictating diagnostic notes. As he spoke, the healers around him moved to slide over trays with the potions and other tools experience told them would be needed.

"Starting diagnostics on early teenage Caucasian male of unknown identity. Beginning with physical injuries: at the feet we have numerous sprains and tears of the ligaments. I note a torn right and sprained left plantar fascia. Faded lacerations on the feet leaving extensive scarring," he peered closer before setting his jaw and continuing, "Poorly-set and healed breaks in the lower tibia in both legs, just above the ankles. Cleaner breaks in both tibia again, halfway up between ankles and knees. Old breaks in both patellae along with torn anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in the left and a torn posterior cruciate ligament in the right," Osset growled, anger rising with each new notation, "Skin laceration scars continue up both legs, with some deep-tissue wounds in the left thigh. Broken left femur. Pelvic crush indicators on the right side," he noted, pausing at the patient's lower abdomen.

One of their trainees in the room to observe their procedures vomited into a basin at the sight. As a more experienced medi-witch vanished the mess (and smell) Osset admitted to himself that even with his years of experience it was disturbing to see so many injuries on a child.

"Small metal ball-shaped objects deeply embedded into the fatty tissue, blunt-force trauma to both hands with multiple broken phalanges in each. Similar poorly-set break injuries in left ulna and right radius. Puncture would in the right forearm. Old breaks to scapulae and clavicles on both sides. Chip fractures in C1, C3, C4, C6, T2, T3, T5, T6, T10, T11, T12, L1, L2, L4, and L5 vertebrae."

"Sweet Merlin!" Medi-witch Bertha Higgins slid over a new sheet of parchment under the quill as it filled the first.

Once he received word that the Dicta-Quill was ready to go once more, Osset carried on, ignoring the organized chaos behind him. "Three cracked ribs on the left side and four on the right. It's damned lucky his chest isn't flailed. The spleen is lacerated, and the left lung is punctured. He also has broken zygomatic bones on both sides, a cracked maxilla, badly broken jaw, and four missing teeth."

"Now for magical injuries: I detect an uncommonly strong infant magical bind, tracers that appear to be linked to a warding spell of some kind, at least a half-dozen compulsion charms, a long-term loyalty potion keyed to a white-haired individual, and…" he trailed off, waving his wand over the patient's forehead, "Sweet Merlin," whispered Osset.

"What? What is it?"

He shook his head, "Dark magic, and a lot of it, concentrated in the patient's forehead. It appears to be stable, so I want the physical injuries treated first." He tapped a, rune on his staff badge, summoning the Unspeakable stationed at St Mungo's trained in treating dark magic.

"What the hell happened to this kid?!" Higgins exclaimed.

"Not our job, Medi-witch Higgins," replied Osset, "We just need to get him back to health. Now, we have a lot on our hands here. When I remove the stasis charm, I'll be giving him a dose of the Draught of Dreamless Sleep. Then, I want him given blood-replenishing potion. While that's being dispensed, I want someone else giving him organ-repairing potions. We'll stabilize the worst of the breaks, and then once the organs have been repaired and the bleeding has stopped, which should be sometime tomorrow, we can start vanishing his broken bones and giving him Skele-Gro.

"We can't fix all his older, poorly-healed broken bones tonight; just the new injuries will need to be healed. Once the patient is awake again, I'll speak to whomever his guardians are about vanishing and re-growing the old injuries. That will be a long process with how many of them there are," only Osset's experience and professionalism helped him contain his rage at the horrors visited on a child.

"Are we all clear, people?"

Hearing a round of affirmative responses, he turned back to the patient, ready to remove the stasis charm. A flash of something silver out of the corner of his eye didn't distract him from focusing on his patient. That's what his staff was for. One of his trainees piped up, interrupting his focus.

"Excuse me, sir, but a Patronus messenger just came in confirming that this is Harry Potter. Harry Potter's a student at Hogwarts. He just competed in the Tri-Wizard Tournament this year, if my memory of the Prophet is accurate. This patient has the body of a younger boy."

Another of the medi-witches cleared her throat, "What if long-term untreated malnutrition is part of the present diagnosis?"

"That would explain it," Osset mused, "But if that's the case the lad would have been near-starvation levels for years. Hogwarts meals can help, but the damage is already present. We'll have to get him on an intensive regimen of nutrient potions when he's up and about again. Harry Potter is not going to die on our watch, people, so let's get cracking!"

With a wave of his hand, he canceled the stasis charm, and almost a dozen highly-trained medical professionals sprang into action to save a young boy's life.

(Scene Break that evening)

Atop a building the same young woman whom Tom had seemingly killed sat down looking upon St. Mugos. Or more specifically she was looking down upon one of its most important patients knowing of the great destiny that currently awaited him. Tom was becoming bolder his actions were becoming more erratic and the City is doing all it could to counteract him but it was reaching its limit.

This woman spoke for the will of the City and in turn it told her what was needed to be done. This young woman knew that to save the city it needed a new Karas. Every City must have a Karas to protect it and every Karas must be accompanied by a Yurine to speak for the Will of the City. Thus as she looked upon Harry Potter, Yurine knew that this boy would become this City's newest Karas and hopefully defeat his predecessor before he could enact his most horrid plans.

(Scene Break London)

An unknown red haired man was seen walking through London. Now that in itself was a normal action, no the thing that wasn't normal was that he was walking past people who all seemed to be frozen in place. The people was walking by didn't seem to notice that they were frozen. This young man was named Nue and he was walking past them for in truth he was just going in a way only the Demons who reside in the City move.

Nue of course was seen carrying a large Guitar Case as he seemed oddly bored. Not many people notice Nue as he walked around and soon he arrived at a diner. He took notice to someone watching him before he shrugged and sat down in a booth and grabbed a cuppa from a waitress had before speaking. "I bet your wondering why I'm here right." Nue asked as the figure nodded in response to Nue's question.

"Well if you must know I'm looking for my brother he's somewhere London and I intend to find him." Nue said as he then took a sip of his tea. "You wouldn't have happened to have seen him would you?" Nue asked as the figure turned his head side to side. "Ok then well," he finished his drink and puts it back. "Well you can call me Nue and hopefully we might run into each other again." Nue said as he kept this short and brief while he got back up with his guitar case slung over his shoulder. "I'll be seeing you around then." Nue said before he left but seemingly unknown to Nue the small figured followed the mysterious man anyway.

(Scene Break the following afternoon at St. Mugos)

It was late afternoon when a young girl with blond hair and the oddest of glasses was seen roaming the Magical Hospital of St. Mugos. Luna Lovegood a 3rd year Ravenclaw going on her 4th Year was happily skipping down the halls of the Hospital. Her daddy had taken a nasty fall and had to be rushed over and so while the healers were tending to him she opted to explore a bit. Of course the odd girl opted to be careful as she roamed about the hospital making sure not to disturb anyone or unintentionally cause anyone any harm here. This was a place of healing after all so care was needed for all those who roamed these halls to either give or receive care varies.

AS she was wearing her oddest glasses she stopped for a moment to take note of something. That something was a pure white tabby sitting before the bed of an unknown patient. As Luna looked to the cat she smiled as she wanted to check something. She removed her glasses and saw it was still there like she figured but that was not truth.

As people walked by the cat was in fact not even there as only Luna Lovegood seemed aware of her. "Hello there." Luna greeted and thus got the Cat's attention as around its neck was a collar that had a large zipper handle on it. The cat looked at Luna for a moment seemingly confused by her as Luna saw this. "Oops my apologies I didn't realize you were busy, I'll let you get back to it." Luna said as she took her leave of the feline who was no longer there. Instead Yurine stood in the cats place with a tail swinging back and forth from under her skirt. The punk dressed girl was most impressed that there were still humans in the world who could see those like her. A rare gift and one she would make a side note to keep a close eye on for later on. Right now she had much more important things to worry about and that was her mission for the new Karas.

Still this boy was disturbing similar to his predecessor but Yurine was not one to argue with the Will of the City. She was simply its voice and tool to enact what needed to be done for the city that she embodies.

(Scene Break Hermione Granger)

Hermione made a mad dash into St. Mugos upon hearing what Dumbledore tried to hide. Blast him how dare he give her orders to refrain from contacting Harry especially after the trauma he had endured. It didn't take her long to get through security and the like as she got to Harry's Hospital room. But what she would no doubt find would have her horrified for days to come.

There he was before her chocolate brown eyes was Harry Potter. He was bed ridden covered in bandages and heavily bruised from whatever ordeal that the Dursley's had forced upon him. She knew Harry did not have a good life with them and this went beyond what she expected from them. She didn't think they would go as far as to beat him within an inch of his life.

From what Hermione understood Harry was currently fighting for his life and there was no telling if he will ever make it out of this the same. Moving her hand to her mouth to cover a shocked gasped Hermione began to panic over seeing Harry in such a dire state as he is. Who could have done this to anyone under their care… why would they do this to Harry of all people? What did he even do to the Dursley's to beget such cruelty from them? Whoever allowed this to happen should be ashamed of themselves yet Hermione could not help but fear that Harry's fight for survival was far from over since the Healers had already whispered that Harry may not even be able to attend Hogwarts this year.

(Scene Break Unknown Location)

As Harry began to wake up it was quick on how he noticed things were currently amiss around him. For starters he found himself in a strange place that he knew not of anything of. As he tried to recall how he ended up here all he could remember were fuzzy thoughts with his name, Harry Potter being the constant. Was that truly his name or was something more amiss at the moment. Regardless of this Harry's eyes gradually cleared from the enforced slumber, and looked for his glasses. "Where am I?" he murmured, wincing as the light of day flooded his senses.

Acting fast he went for his glasses only to find they were already on his face at the moment here. "Huh?" He asked surprised to find he already had his glasses on. Harry then felt an odd pull to an unknown place, As Harry got up he began to walk down the hall as he saw windows that showed an endless plain outside.

What was going on how did he end up in such a place? Harry didn't know as he passed by other creatures that he normally would have panicked around. But they seemed friendly and something deep yet ancient inside was telling him that they were friends. Plus they looked happy to see him oddly enough as they ranged from creatures Harry swore belonged in British Mythologies.

"What is this?" Harry asked as he continued to go through the place trying to make sense of it all.

Eventually Harry finally arrived at his destination which was in fact a balcony with what looked like fish based wind chimes. As Harry stood there for a moment he soon saw someone else was here. There she was a young girl standing in the far end of the balcony as she was facing away from Harry. As Harry began is approach though the girl suddenly began to turn around sensing Harry there. Harry's black hair blew in the wind as the young punk dressed girl looked at him which he returned with blank emerald eyes.

"Good morning, Harry Potter." The girl greeted as the wind blew passed them

"Harry… Potter?" Harry asked before looking at his amulet which had an eye in it that opened. The eye in turn flashed and thus Harry's blank green eyes regained life as a gold glow went through them. Then it all came back to him his name, his reason for being here, the call, and finally this being.

"Why me?" Harry asked as he looked to Yurine.

"Because you have endured true suffering thus you were chosen to become Karas." Yurine said as she looked to Harry knowing why.

"And what if I refuse." Harry said glaring at her for a moment wanting a straight answer.

"The decision is neither yours nor mine to make on becoming the Guardian Karas." Yurine countered as she simply acted for the Will of the City. "But I doubt you would allow innocent people to suffer if you can help it." Yurine said as she looked to Harry with a calculating glare. "The fact is you're the last hope this city has, if you cannot then those you cherish will all suffer the consequences of your inactions." She said pointing at Harry when mentioning the consequences if Harry doesn't accept his new role in all this. When Harry grew silent Yurine continued on knowing they had duties that needed attending to. "Now it is time we got to work." Yurine said and thus Harry nodded still unsure of what he could even do.

"Ok, Ms. Yurine." Harry said and thus he knew they needed to act.

(Scene Break Order of the Phoenix)

"You said he'd be protected, Dumbledore!" Sirius yelled as he slammed his hand onto the table. Word had already reached them of Harry's condition as clearly Sirius was royally pissed off about this. "But what those animals did to him is unacceptable!" Sirius yelled showing he was beyond pissed off.

"Sirius please understand I did what was best at the time." Dumbledore tried to defend but Sirius wasn't having any of it at the moment here.

"So while we're on the subjects why did you put him with those vile excuses for human beings Lily didn't want Harry put anywhere near them!" Sirius yelled clearly beyond angry with what Dumbledore did.

"He needed the blood of his mother to ensure his safety." Dumbledore tried to defend but Sirius had a counter for this.

"Why did it have to be blood wards specifically? Couldn't a Fidiules or even one of the Potter's ancient homes had suffice instead!?" Sirius demanded as he wasn't done yet. "Or maybe if you spoke up to aid me one of the Black Homes could have been used to protect Harry!?" Sirius yelled as he glared at Dumbledore who allowed for him to rot in Azkaban while the real traitor to their friends ran around disguised as the scared rat that he was. "I had to break out of Azkaban just to learn what happened and worst off I was forced on the run living off bugs and rats while my family home could have easily provided me with the needed protections from the Ministry!" Sirius yelled as Dumbledore had nothing to say on those particular accusations.

"Sirius please all that I have done was for the greater good." Dumbledore tried but Sirius wasn't having any of it.

"Then mark my words if and/or when Harry pulls through you can count on him NEVER returning to that wretched household!" Sirius yelled as he glared at Dumbledore in contempt.

"Sirius be reasonable it's the only place he will be safe." Dumbledore argued but Sirius had a counter for that.

"The Coma he's in would disagree with you Professor." Sirius argued back showing he was clearly beyond peeved with his former Headmaster on this particular subject. "And if you try to push it you'll find that Your Damned Order will need a new headquarters and your school without Harry." Sirius threatened forcing Dumbledore to pull back knowing Sirius would not listen.

"Sirius maybe you should." Molly began as she stepped in hoping to help Dumbledore but only succeeded in turning his rage on her.

"OH? And what if it was your children that were in this situation Molly?!" Sirius yelled as he looked to Molly forcing her to pull back. "Last I checked Ginny had endured a traumatic event and from what I understand she hadn't been given any counseling for it has she?" Sirius said as he knew the state Ginny was currently in. The girl had locked herself in her room after word of Harry's coma had reached her ears and all attempts to awaken him were met with failure. Right now Hermione had been visiting Harry religiously every day that she had even forgone her books to see that Harry would pull through from his current ordeal.

Molly of course pulled back of course when Sirius used here love for her children against her on this. She would have been in a similar state of rage if it was one of hers who was in this situation. Arthur would be even worse because despite him lacking a backbone in the house it only hides the lion sleeping inside him.

"Dumbledore you better pray Harry pulls through otherwise I'm taking all of the Black fortune and leaving, because as far as I see Britain is borderline a lost cause." Sirius said before storming out of the room to make any arrangements needed such as ensuring that the Malfoy's cannot get the Black Fortune.

(Later with Sirius and Remus)

"Sirius maybe you went a tad bit too far." Remus said as he spoke to Sirius when he calmed down some.

"Remus I always rely on your council… but this time you're in the wrong on this I don't think I went far enough." Sirius said showing he was resentful now.

"Dumbledore is simply doing the best he can with the hand he'd been given." Remus said as Sirius then slammed his hand on the table in the study.

"No he's playing a long game and for some reason Harry seems to be a valuable piece he need weak." Sirius snapped as it was clear he was angry. "He had the bloody political power to get me a trial, he knew damn well I would never betray Prongs and Lily so why in the name of Merlin was I left to rot in Azkaban and Harry left to suffer." Sirius growled showing he also had something to get off his chest.

"Sirius are you implying something?" Remus asked as Sirius then got to it.

"Yes Dumbledore isn't interested in winning this new war, he's more interested in redeeming and sparing our enemies then ensuring they receive justice proper!" Sirius yelled as he looked out the window of the home that had become his prison once more.

"Sirius you can't meant that." Remus tried to reason but Sirius had enough.

"Remus I know you're loyal to Dumbledore because he got you a job at Hogwarts and had managed to get you to become a student there but you seem to forget that there hasn't been any werewolves students since your time!" Sirius yelled and thus this shut Remus up right proper. "Remus if you're going to remain loyal to Dumbledore then I can't trust you so you need to decide me or him, Harry's future without war or a future as Dumbledore's pawn!" Sirius demanded as he glared at Remus who was left in silence.

In turn Remus proceeded to take his leave knowing full well that Sirius was asking him the impossible. Sirius in response felt hurt but also understood Remus reasoning's on this choice. Sirius only hoped that they can salvage what was left of the marauders but he wasn't holding high hopes there.

(Scene Break that evening London)

At a large venue area it seemed that a concert of some sort was in progress. It was clearly a metal or punk concert as the lead singer was all but screaming into his mix as the people cheered for such heavy metal. The bands were clearly having a good time as the people were seen cheering clearly punks themselves judging from their choice of attire out there. The people cheered and reveled as the current song of unknown origins began its climax.

Nearby at a vantage point was Nue with a sniper rifle trained on one of the performers the lead singer in fact. For the past several weeks mysterious murders had been on the rise and they all had the same defining factor between them all. The area of death was in a place with access to water leaving it flooded, the victim is drained dry of their bodily fluids, and finally there is always one survivor left at the scene.

It was unusual but Nue knew exactly what it was and who was responsible for it. With this in mind Nue had to do what he could to bring this fucker down and end it before moving on to find his missing brother in London. He followed the trail and it lead him right here to this very concert. All it would take is one clean shot and the threat of this machine bloodsucking monster will come to an end.

"One... two... three... four..." Came the voice of Yurine as Nue pulled back his rifle.

"Karas." Nue said as he realized backup has finally arrived.

"Five... six... seven..." Yurine continued as lights began to shine down on the silhouette of Harry. The lead singer gulped a bit as he began to grow worried over what he was hearing. As he looked around he also took note of Harry's image and put two and two together. "Eight... nine... and it is ten, sway to and fro sway." Yurine finished as she was seated upon the balcony of a nearby building. After she moved her two fingers across her neck she then pointed forward. "Do it now Karas." Yurine said as her hair pieces glowed while she pointed her right middle and index fingers forward.

Harry opened his eyes as they grained a topaz colored glow in them. "Alright." Harry said before he threw the amulet upward where it began to spin. He then caught the amulet before he held the amulet forward creating a tunnel of ancient and mystical runes with ebony black feathers reigning down. The tunnel then turned into a portal as from it Harry began to make his way through it. From the other side Harry Potter walked out transformed into a suit of armor with an evident crow motif to it. This was the Guardian known only as Karas as the glowing blue eyes glared at the lead singer ready for battle. Steam came off of the Karas body as he began to stand up while holding his sheathed weapon. Harry then swung around his weapon with lightning fast speed before throwing the weapon upward revealing it to be a broadsword. On the return trip down the sword then slid onto his back and attached to the amulet locking it in place.

Harry took a battle stance showing he was ready for battle. That was of course until Yurine did one last thing before sending forth Karas. "Now release." Yurine said as she flipping her right hand with her middle and index fingers up as she unsealed the weapon. Harry in response drew forth the blade and took a battle stance almost as if he had trained with it his whole life.

Time had slowed to a crawl but that did not stop the singer from moving surprisingly enough. Seeing this the singer began to grow calm before he let out a sinister smirk and chuckle. "Fine then since you decided to show yourself like this you better make it worth my wild you fucking crow." He said before his cloths began to rip off as his form changed into that of a large machine turtle/fish like being. When the monster had transformed it had managed to stab one man who when stabbed his blood began to be taken from his body and enter the being feeding it the blood of living humans.

Seeing this Karas sprang into action ready to end this Mikura. "Karas attack!" Karas invoked as he then charged at the Mikura before bashing him upward and vanishing from sight leaving no damages behind. But when time resumed everyone was left shock to see the singer gone and then horrified to see a dead body was on the stage.

(Meanwhile over with the battle)

Karas had arrived at another location with his prey as the warrior was seen fighting the monster known as a Mikura. The Mikura tried to attack but Karas had superior speed on his side and thus was dodging its attacks with ease.

"FULL POWER!" the Mikura called before it blast a highly condensed water bullet at Karas who with his superior powers deflected the bullets with ease causing them to hit the walls around him. The machine like monster was far from done as he continued his assault against Karas. "COME ON OUT WATER GIRLS!" the Mikura called out taking a Kabuki like stance as female looking beings made of waters appeared. Seeing them Karas was ready for them as he knew they would attack him at any moment. The Water girls in turn began their attack and all charged at Karas ready to kill him. But seeing this Karas had his counter attack ready for use. Surprisingly enough Karas started his attack by releasing his grip on his sword as it was floating in midair before spreading his arms upward and downward as the sword began to spin with the speed making it look like a buzz saw.

Karas then sent the spinning sword forward while with his superior speed gave chase to the weapon as it sliced through the Water Girls destroying many of them. Karas soon caught up to his sword and grabbed it before he held it behind him blocking a failed attempt at a surprise attack. Amazingly seemingly without even looking the Karas had managed blocked an attack from a surviving water girl. In response Karas proceeded slicing her in two once he pushed her away as soon she was now dead like her sisters with an odd symbol appearing and being absorbed into Karas.

All around Karas the Water Girls exploded before falling onto him as the Mikura opted to use this to his advantage. In response the Mikura began creating a turret of water that surrounded Karas and came torts the Mikura. Time slowed down as the Karas' eyes shined in the water before he sliced and turned around. For a few seconds it seemed like nothing happened but then a slash mark appeared on the Mikura's left arm causing it to scream in pain as the arm was sliced clean off creating sparks showing it was more like a machine.

Karas then turned to the Mikura before slashing at the air before running his fingers through his sword as the blade was pointed downward as Karas released a breath that sounded ominous to his enemies. Once the Karas fingers reached the hilt the amulet on the Karas back opened to reveal the eye as Karas with his right hand pointed his sword behind him as his eyes began to turn red. Soon the entire room went black as the moon appeared as it became full. Karas then placed his left arm on the butt of the hilt as his sword became a much larger version of itself with energy going through it.

Once the moon was full it released black feathers of a crow as everything was now white. Karas shadow soon became a crow with arms that then flew torts the Mikura. Karas then jumped into the air as he soon slashes appeared in the air. In turn the slashes ended up becoming webs that restrained the Mikura as it tried and failed in its struggle for freedom. Just then the Mikura looked up at the moon and saw a crow spreading its wings like the phantom of death coming to collect. Just then the crow then shattered to reveal Karas in its place as he had jumped and was spinning in the air ready to end this fight.

Karas then flipped as he slashed downward cutting the Mikura clean in half as he was now falling from the top of the city. "YOU BASTARD TOM RIDDLE WILL DEFEAT YOU!" The Mikura yelled as before he began to laugh knowing his death will be avenged as he then exploded into a large sphere of water which began to rain down on London making it seem like it was actually raining for them.

(Meanwhile with Karas and Yurine)

Karas was standing atop a gargoyle as he heard the Mikura's threat. Tom Riddle but that was impossible but the Mikura was so certain Tom would do him in. He then looked to Yurine who sat next to him silently and knew she had things to answer for.

(Scene Break Back over with Nue)

Nue was reading the news as he saw all the libel and slander against Harry and Dumbledore as of late. Of course the slander against Harry had quickly changed when news got out of the boy being in St. Mugos. Upon realizing that someone had brutally attacked him and the boy barely managed to escape to St. Mugos is became slander torts Dumbledore for his inactivity in ensuring the boy's safety. So far he didn't sense any of his enemies but it didn't hurt to be cautious. As Nue read on he soon sighed and lowered the paper to look upon the figure that has been following him sense he arrived in London. The fact he was tailing him this long was honestly starting to piss him off.

"Ok seriously kid do I have candy stuck to my ass or something?" Nue asked as the figure was revealed to be a small snail demon boy in a rain coat and even noted that he had a snail shell.

The boy just looked at him before smiling as the only one who can see him was Nue. "Your funny can I hang out with you?" the boy asked as Nue looked at the naïve demon child. London was not meant for his kind now a days. In the ancient past humans had a larger respect for their kind but now those days are gone in the face of bigotry and greed. Knowing the kid was naïve Nue gave him the cold hard truths of their world and of himself here.

"Sorry kid if you hang out with me you're going to be in a world of hurt and that happens to everyone who hangs out with me." Nue said as he began to walk from the boy but alas the snail boy followed anyway. "Ok this is going to get annoying fast." Nue said as he noticed how the snail boy followed him despite Nue telling him to basically beat it.

(Scene Break over with Tom)

Tom was in the bath as behind him one of his servants was scrubbing is hair. One of the many things he was glad he retained as opposed to his other self. "I truly believe that this town, is saying it does not care for the likes of me." Tom said as he relaxed knowing full well that if the City did care it would have made more of an effort to try stopping him.

He then looked with a bored look as off to the side in the distance he saw the image of the old Riddle Estate. Left rotting and soon would be of no meaning to either sides of him. As he sat there he then looked to the ceiling above and wondered… how long before he has to deal with his, other self?

(Scene Break Yurine)

Yurine sat on the patio area of her home as outside in the plains Harry and her small friends were gathering herbs for needed medical supplies. Due to Tom's actions the spirits who live within the city are suffering for it and in turn they must do all they can to heal them before they succumb to the ailments. She knew Harry did not trust her but right now trust was not her concern defeat Tom was and the only one capable of besting a Karas in combat is using the power of another Karas.

But as she then looked to the side she ended up gritting her teeth when thinking of Tom and all the Karas who he killed. Worst of all the fate that befall the Yurine of those same Karas and most likely his own Yurine. Every city must have a Karas and every Karas must be accompanied by a Yurine that was their law. But Tom he defied those laws even when the City chose to give him a chance and the results was as expected. She will stop Tom as the Will of the City dictates and she will use Harry as the instrument of the Will of the City.

But unaware to her darkness was on the move and with it so was evil.
