HOUSE MARTELL

ELIA

Even though it is called the Dornish Marshes many of the Houses in the Marsh are loyal to House Baratheon. After leaving the Kingswood Elia and her group make it to the ruins of Summerhall. To the southwest of Summerhall is Blackhaven, a house loyal to House Baratheon and to the southeast is Stonehelm also loyal to House Baratheon.

They rest in Summerhall for a few days, before moving on. To avoid hunting and scouting parties, Elia travels through the mountain passes heading for the coast and the sea of Dorne. But tragedy hits as Jaehaerys had fallen ill. "My baby…" Elia says weeping, "…my poor baby."

"Mommy what's wrong with Jae?" Rhanys asks with Lorell holding her.

"Shush Princess."

He dies in her arms. After a long while she wraps his body as best she can and ties straps to it and carries him so. "Come we have many miles to go."

"Mother…" Rhaenys says whispering.

"Yes, my little Dragon."

"Is…is my brother dead?"

She sighs heavily, "Yes." She replies tearing up again.

Rhaenys starts crying, "Will I die too?"

Elia stops her horse and pulls Rhaenys to her horse, "Your brother died because he got sick. You are older than he and a lot stronger." After two weeks of traveling they finally leave the mountains and reach the beach and the sea of Dorne. Elia can tell that there are many Dornish ships patrolling the waters in between the Stormlands and Dorne. She builds a large fire to signal a ship. Many hours later a ship approaches the shallow waters, drops anchor, and sends men ashore in a long boat.

"Who are you?" A Dornish sailor asks.

"Your sigil is of House Jordayne."

He frowns, "It is who are ya?"

"I am Princess Eli Targaryen nee' Martell of Dorne…This is my handmaiden Lorell and my daughter Princess Rhaenys Targaryen."

"What proof have ya?" She shows the man a Dornish ring with the Martell sigil on it and a locket with the Targaryen sigil on it. "Princess! Please forgive this ignorant sailor." He says dropping to one knee. The men with him drop to one knee as well.

"Will you sail us to Ghost Hill…From there we can travel by land to Sunspear."

They board the long boat and row the ship called the Wet Feather. Elia is given the Captain's cabin, water for a bath, and fresh clothes, as there are women serving on the ship.

PRINCE OBERYN

When the war started Oberyn was in Astapor of Essos on a tour of the East. When word came of war he rushed home. Since arriving home there had been no word of his sister or her children from the Capital. "Ten thousand men!" Oberyn said yelling at his elder brother Prince Doran. When Prince Rhaegar asked Doran for help all he gave him was ten thousand troops.

"Aerys was threatening our sister! What did expect me to do?"

"Raise all of Dorne to war! Had you done so brother Rhaegar would have won and we would have our sister."

"Rhaegar kidnapped and raped Lyanna Stark! I did not trust him."

They argued for hours and then Oberyn left his brother's presence in a rage. A few days later the two brothers apologized. When the war ended all Ravens to the Capital were ignored. Then Doran receives a Raven from Ghost Hill.

"My Prince…Your brother wishes to see you." The young man is Doran's personal servant.

Oberyn heads to the Solar. As usual Hotah Doran's personal bodyguard is present.

"Here read." Doran says handing Oberyn the message. "Elia is alive! I will leave at once to escort her home." That evening Oberyn rides out of Sunspear with fifty men. They ride all through the Night until sunset the next day. They stop to camp and sleep on the ground. Oberyn is no stranger to sleeping in the wild. They have ten pack horses carrying supplies. The next morning they break their fast and ride on.

After three days of hard riding they meet up with Elia's group. There are fifty men guarding a carriage from Ghost Hill. "Elia!"

"Oberyn!" Brother and sister hug as their men cheer. "Rhaenys come here and meet your Uncle. Prince Oberyn." She says with teary eyes.

Oberyn smiles kneeling down in front of her, "Hello little one."

"You don't look like a Red Viper." Rhaenys says.

Oberyn and everyone around them bursts into laughter. He scoops her up, "Oh but I am a viper little one…And I bite!"

"No!"

She screams as Oberyn gently bites her arm. They head back south and stop to camp at sunset. "Captain Armon. You and your men may return to Ghost Hill."

"Do not send us away my Prince…Let us serve you and the Princess…We will escort you back home."

"As you wish." After Rhaenys is asleep Oberyn takes Elia out of earshot, "I know you. And I know Rhaegar…What happened with the Stark girl?"

She sighs, "Can it wait until we get home. I do not want to tell the story again."

"You know I have the patience of a hungry chick…Tell me."

"I could have no more children after Jaehaerys…I was sick in my bed for days after he was born. Rhaegar feared I may die. We argued for many months about more children. Then I said to him to take another wife. Targaryens of old had more than one…As long as he loved her and I approved."

"Then he did not kidnap or rape Lyanna Stark."

"No! Rhaegar was an honorable man…Lyanna and I were like sisters…At the tourney of Harrenhal Rhaegar…He was fool for what he did naming Lyanna like that…The two of them married in secret. After Harrenhal I was on my way home to Dorne to wait until the war was over. Aerys' men caught up with us. They killed my guards and forced me back to the Capital."

"How did you escape?"

"When Tywin Lannister arrived at the city, I knew he wasn't there as a friend…I killed the Mountain and Ser Armory Lorch to get away…Rhaenys knows the castle better than anyone…We used the old secret passages and ran into Varys. He led us out. I killed four Lannister men guarding the bridge over the Blackwater Rush and took their horses." Five days later she repeats the same story to Doran.

PRINCE DORAN

Five days later Elia repeats the same story to elder brother Doran. "Where is Lyanna Stark now?"

"She and Rhaegar were supposed to meet me at the Tower of Joy."

After they give Prince Jaehaerys a proper burial, Prince Doran sends men to the Tower. They report back that the tower had been torn down and made into tombs for men who were buried in them. Each tomb has a sigil of their House, two men are of the Kingsguard and the others are from the North. "No Lyanna would not just leave like that." Elia says after Doran tells her what his men reported.

"Perhaps you didn't know her as well as you thought."

"Or her brother forced her back North to Winterfell." She replies.

"Elia what is that you want?"

"Revenge! I want to destroy House Baratheon!"

"Stannis and Renly did not kill Rhaegar."

"Fine I want to destroy the Usurper!"

"How?"

"We need to get into contact with Lord Varys. He was always a loyal supporter of House Targaryen…My daughter is heir to the Iron Throne."

"And who would support her? House Martell would stand alone."

"Not if we made the right allies. But first we need information."

Doran finally agrees to her plan even though it is dangerous. But if they were to pull it off then Oberyn would need to go to King's Landing.

RHAENYS

Rhaenys missed her baby brother. Sometimes she would hold him and make him laugh. The adults whispered around her, but she understood what was going on and why her brother died. And she would get revenge. She was a Targaryen and Targaryens were Dragons. Yes, she would grow up and be strong like her mother. She would be stronger than her father.

While Rhaenys missed her brother she had her cousins to play with. There is Princess Arianne her Uncle Doran daughter who is six. Her cousin Quentyn is warding with House Yronwood and at the moment Prince Trystane is a baby. Nym who is a year older than Rhaenys, Obara a year younger and the youngest is Tyene at the age of five. All three are Oberyn's bastards, but unlike the rest of Westeros Dorne does not view Bastards the same way or look down on them.

Rhaenys takes lessons with her cousins and trains in the martial arts. They usually finish before midday meal and have the rest of the day to play and get into mischief as they usually do. After her first full day Rhaenys is in her room preparing for bed. She is drawn to the fire on the candle and walks over to it.

She stairs into the fire and sees a great castle on a hill in the North. The bannersl on the battlements of the castle have a grey Direwolf on a field of white with a strip of green at the bottom. She sees a man and a woman arguing about a bastard. Then her vision takes her to a room where a baby sleeps. Suddenly her father's ghost appears over the baby, along with a woman.

"Rhaenys…This is your brother Aegon Targaryen…" Her father says. Three days later her Uncle Oberyn is preparing to leave for the Capital. "Uncle."

"Little Dragon…What brings you by?"

"Uncle I have a request."

"If it is within my power, I will grant it."

Her eyes turn yellow and Dragonlike and her voice hypnotical with a deep rich echo. "When you reach the Capital ask Lord Varys about Lyanna Stark and Eddard Stark's bastard Jon Snow."

His eyes glaze over, "I will ask Lord Varys about Lyanna Stark and Jon Snow."

That night after Oberyn leaves Rhaenys stares into the fire looking for more visions, but she finds none.
