Chapter 9 I'm Trying To Make A Comeback
For those of you who thought I fell off the face of the Earth, I assure you I haven't. A lot has happened in the last two years from births to deaths. In the last two years when I started writing Runaway Walter it seems like it was a never ending of ups and downs. It started in 2017 when my boyfriend's dad went in for an emergency triple bi-pass on February 14 and it was up all nights at the hospital(s) and every weekend all the way until we brought him home in May. Things started to get better until October 31st of the same year that I got a phone call at work saying that his mother was unresponsive and was being transported to the hospital. Later that evening we found out that she had had a double stroke one of which hit in her brain stem. Unfortunately she passed away from that on November 3, 2017. Then my shoulder pain returned with a vengeance and if that wasn't enough three days before Christmas, the Grinch visited me and stole two tires off of my vehicle. The joke was on them because they needed to be replaced anyway. So in a sense I got the last laugh because I ended up with a set of new tires on my vehicle. 2018 didn't start out too bad. The only real issue was my boyfriend having foot surgery but unfortunately I was still on medical leave until I had to finally give up that job and find something else which I manage to do. Then his brother got into some unwanted trouble and had to deal with that, never mind my family's issues that I helped dealt with. But other than that 2018 wasn't too bad. Then 2019 rolled around and again it wasn't too bad. A friend of my had a set of twin boys in June and then that is where everything seems to start all over again. In July, my boyfriend's brother had a quadruple bi-pass two days before his birthday. Then his dad has been in and out of the hospital as well as his brother. My boyfriend on the other hand had his other foot operated on in September and now it is just me running him and both his dad and his brother to all of their doctor appointments. One week in November and this seriously happened all in the same week. This started on a Monday. I had to take my boyfriend to the ER and while we were pulling out of the drive, his aunt called said she was taking his brother to the ER for chest pains. Tuesday I had a cancer check which was all good by the way. I am still cancer free Yea for me! On Wednesday, my brother had to go to the ER for a leg ailment and then Thursday morning, I get a phone call said they were transporting his dad to the ER for a medical problem. Then people at work that night was wondering why I didn't want to be around anyone and was rather moody. Mind you I was still trying to work nights during this whole time. So as you can tell I have been busy and unable to find the time to sit and write anything. This year I decided I was going to finish Runaway Walter and start on something of my own as far as my book that I have been trying to write for quite sometime now.
Now dealing with Runaway Walter. I have come to a point I don't know what to do with one characters in Runaway Walter so I decided to revamp the entire story to fit the new story line to one of the characters. I am adding a few lines here and there and changing one character all together. I may or may not take some things out or some characters buy that all depends on where this new line of thinking takes me. But for the most part, the story will remain the same it is just a matter of making to new story for one of the current characters to fit in with the current story line. I guess I also need to mention that I have lost Chapter 24. It is around here somewhere its just a matter of me finding it.
