THE IRON BORN REBELLION

RHAENYS

Through her fire visions, Rhaenys also discovers the secret of making glass. She had foreseen the process done in the future glass making order for Dorne. After a year Dorne sold glass at a cheaper price throughout all of Westeros.

This started the glass wars as Myrish ships would steal shipments of glass from Dornish merchants selling on behalf of House Martell in Dorne. Prince Doran retaliates by sinking the Fleet of Myr with his own Navy. Myr is ruled by the council of Magisters. Arnyro Bazod Magister of Trade is sent to make peace with Dorne.

Rhaenys, Elia, Doran, Oberyn, and Arianne attend the meeting. A bargain is struck that Dorn can only sell to the people of Westeros and Braavos is open to equal sales from Dorne and Myr. The Magisters of Myr will sell to all of Essos. The Summer Islands will also be included the equal trade treaty. The war ends two years before the Iron Born rebellion.

"Mother the time has come." Rhaenys who is now ten and four name days old says.

BALON

It is the seventh year of King Robert's reign. Balon Greyjoy Lord of the Iron Isles declared himself King of the Iron Born and summoned his Lords and Captains to Castle Pyke. "My Lords and Captains! The Targaryens have fallen! Now is our time! We do not sow!"

"We pay the Iron Price!"

"We shall Reave once again and rule the Riverlands as our ancestor Harren the Great once did!" With a thunderous cheer the Iron Born feast and then two days later board their ships. Their fleet is six hundred strong. His eldest son Rodrik leads a hundred ships to take the Castle Seagard from House Mallister, a banner of House Tully the rulers of the Riverlands.

Meanwhile the rest of the fleet attacks Lannisport and sinks the Lannister Fleet in a sneak attack. They also bombard the city for the next three days before sailing south.

ROBERT BARATHEON

Robert is breaking his fast alone. In the seven years of his reign his wife and Queen has given him one son, Prince Joffrey Baratheon who favors his mother, with his blonde hair and green eyes. Their first child was stillborn. "Your Grace an urgent message from Casterly Rock."

Robert breaks the lion seal and reads. It is from Tywin Lannister, his goodfather. "WAR!" Robert bellows, "Grand Maester summon the small council." He says getting excited.

"Robert!" Cersei yells entering his solar.

"I take it you have heard."

"Those animals attacked my homeland."

"And I intend to respond in kind woman…I have called the small council." There are three things Robert loved most of all in life. Fighting, having sex with a beautiful woman, and drinking. He meets with Jon Arryn Hand of the King, Grand Maester Pycel, Ser Barristan Selmy Lord Commander of the King's Guard, his brother Renly Baratheon Master of Laws, Master of Coin Petyr Baelish, Master of Whispers Varys, Master of ships Stannis, Lord Commander of the City Watch Janos Slynt.

"I have sent the Ravens your Grace…As you commanded I have called on Houses Stark and Tully."

"Good! Satnnis we set sail for Storm's End on tomorrow. You will command the fleet."

"I have given command of the Vale forces to Lord Yohn Royce, but Your Grace…Do we need such a force. This is the Iron Born we are talking about?"

"An I am going to smash every ship they have. They will never set foot off those shit stained rocks of theirs again!" The next day Robert sails with his brother Ser Jaime who insisted on going, Thoros of Myr, and Ser Orys Oakheart. The rest of the King's Guard stay behind to protect the Queen. When Robert reaches Storm's End he calls the banners of House Baratheon to war. As the fleet assembles, the Vale fleet sails south along the East coast to join them.

When the forces are gathered they feast before sailing to war. Roberts forces number one hundred thousand men. Seventy thousand men of the Stormlands and thirty thousand of the Vale. Eleven hundred and fifty ships in all.

EDDARD

To My Friend

Lord Eddard Stark Warden of the North . I your King command that you come south with your army. The Iron Born have rebelled. I intend to put them in their place. March your forces into the Riverlands and relieve the siege on Seagard.

Ned as his friends call him have Maester Luwin send the Ravens out. The Northern Lords are to gather their forces at Moat Cailin. When the time came to leave Lady Catelyn Stark of Winterfell farewells her husband and his men. "Come home safely."

He kisses her, "I will. I love you."

"And I you." The children Robb, Jon, and Sansa are present. Ned marches South to Moat Cailin with the army from Castle Cerwyn which is a few miles south of Winterfell. When all the forces of the North are gathered they march into the Riverlands.

ELIA AND RHAENYS

Disguised as commoners Elia and Rhaenys sail up North on a Dornish ship disguised as a merchant ship. They drop anchor at night and the two women go ashore via a row boat. There is a man waiting with four three horses. "The army left yesterday." The man says to Elia and Rhaenys.

"Good…I told you mother. We timed it perfectly." Rhaenys says gloating.

"I still do not like the idea of kidnapping Lya's son."

"It is the only way we can wake the Dragon in him. Besides I would rather kidnap him, than to have my brother raised as a bastard. This will move Lord Stark's hand." Rhaenys had foreseen Aegon's life without their interference. It was a sad life filled with scorn from Lady Catelyn and her daughter Sansa. Shyness and a lack of confidence that develops from feeling unwanted. No! Rhaenys was determined not to allow it to happen.

For Elia, she felt a sense of responsibility towards Lyanna's son. For he was as much her son as Lyanna's. Were they not sisters in all but blood? Yes Aegon was her son by choice, even though he himself did not know it yet. They sail up the river by raft melting away the miles. As they travel Elia would fish using her bow and arrows with a rope attached to the arrow. She would shoot the fish and pull them in to be cooked and eaten.

One morning after the raft stopped, mother and daughter have a contest. "No more than six…Whoever has the most wins." Elia says.

"Alright." Rhaenys playfully replies. Both women shoot for a fish, but do not pull the fish in. They keep shooting until one of them has the upper hand. The contest ends in a tie as mother and daughter have three fish a piece. After four days on the river they reach the lands of House Cerwyn. They disembark near the bridge and travel by foot to Winterfell.

"Wow, my visions did this place no justice." Rhaenys says.

"Neither did your description."

Rhaenys had dyed her hair red and Elia wears a blond wig. The two women gain work in the castle as servants. Elia a chamber maid to young Sansa and Rhaenys a cook's aid. It takes Rhaenys five days to find the secret passage they can use to escape with their prize. A sleeping potion is placed in Aegon/Jon's food. That night Elia and Rhaenys sneak Aegon/Jon from his room and out the secret passageway.

CATELYN STARK

Catelyn Stark nee' Tully wakes up and performs her daily oblations as she always does. Then she dresses and heads to the main hall to break her fast with her children. She looks to the lower table where Jon should be. "Do you want us to wait for Jon Snow My Lady?" The servant asks.

She sighs, "No go ahead and serve the food."

"Mother." Robb says and leaves the table to go fetch Jon.

Robb returns without him, "Mother, Jon wasn't in his room."

Catelyn becomes infuriated, but does not show her emotions. She hadn't said anything to him since her husband left. She figured he was staying away from her, but when Jon did not show up for midday meal, she had the servants search the castle for him. "My Lady we looked everywhere. Jon Snow is not in the Castle." Maester Luwin reports.

"What about Wintertown?"

"We searched the town My Lady."

"My Lady I think it time we sent riders out…The boy may have been kidnapped."

"Why would someone kidnap a bastard?" Catelyn asks.

"Bastard he may be My Lady, but he is still the son of your husband Lord Eddard Stark."

Of course she sent men out. If Ned returned home and Jon was not there, he would be very upset. Search parties of ten men to each eight groups head North, South, East, and West; They also search Northwest and east, Southwest and east. The day before the search parties return word is received by Raven from Pyke. The war had been won and Ned was on his way home.
