VISERYS

When Princesses Elia and Rhaenys returned with Aegon. Viserys became infuriated and raged at the Martells for conspiring against him. He called Aegon's mother a whore, who bewitched his brother. It was Rhaenys who slapped him for insulting the memory of Lyanna Stark. Viserys walks off enraged and starts to form his own plans.

He refuses to eat with the Martells, taking his meals in his room. For two weeks Viserys secludes himself away from the Martells. His sister and niece come to knock on his door sometimes, but he ignores them. "If they will not support me as King, then I will make my own kingdom! Build my own army! Yes then they come begging to me, but I will not forgive them! Yes King Viserys! First…I need gold! Yes gold!"

"No you fool…You need to find their weakness and exploit it!" His subconscious mind says to him.

"Yes…Find their weaknesses and exploit them." After two weeks of self-isolation Viserys joins the family at evening meal.

"Prince Viserys…Welcome to our table."

"Thank you Prince Doran…I ask you all to forgive me for my behavior…It was unbecoming a Prince."

"Yes…be nice…ingratiate yourself, then find a weakness and exploit it." He mentally says. After Aegon leaves with his Uncle Lord Eddard Stark, Viserys pays the servants for information and learns that Prince Oberyn had bedded Lord Anders Yronwood's wife had been bedded by Prince Oberyn. Insulted the Yronwoods. The matter was settled with a duel which Lord Anders lost. At the request of his brother Oberyn spared Ander's life.

To make peace Prince Doran offered his son Quentyn as a ward. Viserys decides to wait a year before asking, "If it is alright with you I would like to visit my Nephew Prince Quentyn." Viserys says to Doran.

"Why? The two of you were not close."

"All the more reason for me to visit him Uncle." As Doran stares at him the voice in Viserys' head speaks, "He does not believe you…Try something else." He responds inside his head while smiling, "Yes but what?"

"I can see you do not trust me Uncle and for good reason." Viserys says speaking up. "In the past, I was paranoid, distrustful and disrespectful…Truth be told, the real reason I wish to visit Quentyn is to see the countryside…Get out and spread my legs."

"You have been…behaved since Aegon left. But this could be an act. Like your father he would be fine one minute and not the next."

"How dare he!" Viserys says thinking to himself, "Stay calm if we lose it bow he will not let us go…Smile, ignore that and say…"

"Yes My Prince…But I am not my father…I shall leave you now and find other ways to amuse myself." Viserys starts to walk away.

"Wait! You may go…But I will choose your escort."

"Thank you My Prince." To get their quickly Viserys insists on traveling up the Greenbleed river, which forks into the Vaith that passes by Castle Vaith which is controlled by House Martell. The Castle is used in times of war. The Scourge River heads into the desert and its end is eighteen miles from Yronwood.

The Yronwoods were the second most powerful family in Dorne and a rival to House Martell. While staying at Yronwood, Viserys whispers to Lord Yronwood promising him Lordship over all of Dorne when he became King. The two plot together and Lord Yronwood promises to back a loan to Viserys from the Iron Bank.

A week passes and Lord Yronwood sneaks Viserys out of the castle and he sails to Braavos by ship. As the ship sails away Rhaenys and Obara come out of the shadows to join Lord Yronwood. Rhaenys had used her Dragon-voice on Lord Yronwood. When Viserys arrived in Braavos he would get nothing. The letter Yronwood gave him was a fake.

BRAAVOS

Braavos was founded after the Doom and was never part of the Valyrian Freehold. The youngest of these cities, Braavos was founded by escaped slaves, fleeing the grasp of the Freehold. The slaves rebelled on their way from Valyria to a new colony in Sothoryos, after taking control of the ships, and turned north instead. Because of it's origins slavery is outlawed in Braavos. Over time Braavos became the most powerful of the Free Cities.

The city is built across several islands of different sizes and connected by bridges. The harbor is protected by the Titan of Braavos, a massive stone and bronze fortress in the shape of a giant man, which guards the entrance. It is the primary line of defense for Braavos. Braavos is home to the Iron Bank, one of the richest and most powerful Banks in the World. It is also home to the infamous House of Black and White, the main base of the Faceless Men; the deadliest assassins in the world.

It was here that Viserys came to get a loan from the Iron Bank to buy an army with. He presents the Banking Lords with the document from Lord Yronwood stating that he would back the loan. "I am sorry Prince Viserys, but this document is not signed." Tychos says after unrolling the scroll.

"What?" Viserys exclaims snatching the paper back. "I don't understand! I saw him sign it!"

"Perhaps you have some other collateral to back the loan?"

"As the heir to the Iron Throne! My word should be sufficient!"

"Unfortunately it is not!"

Viserys starts an argument, but the banking Lords do not respond in anger nor do they raise their voices. Eventually Viserys leaves feeling betrayed and angry. He becomes enraged when he returns to the docks to find the vessel he came to Braavos in is gone. He still owns the House with the door, so Viserys heads to sleep and plan his next move.

Viserys uses the little money he has left to buy passage on a ship heading for Myr. He would get a loan from the rich and powerful Nobles of Myr. Viserys' family name gets him an audience with the powerful Nobles of Myr, but eventually he wares out his welcome and is humiliated and thrown into the streets. "My King…perhaps we should return to Sunspear."

Viserys leaps at the guard drawing his dagger and places it in the man's throat, "No! And don't ever suggest that again!"
