Author's Note: Here's Chapter 2 for you all. I know it may seem shorter than the last one. But in fairness I already had this one written out and honestly I had no idea what to add to it. I'm currently in the middle of writing Chapter 4 and editing Chapter 3 as I post this one. Either way I hope you guys enjoy.

P.S. I do not own Danny Phantom or its characters. All rights are reserved for Butch Hartman, Nickelodeon, and whoever else worked on the show. The only things I own are this stories OC's and plot.

Chapter Two

Amity Park - Andrew's Home

Andrew had woke that morning around school hours, he knew he maybe had only gotten four or so hours of sleep. He found himself still fully dressed minus his hat and jacket and sitting up in bed with his back against the head board of his bed and his hand hanging down on top of his covers Ember was curled up to his side her arms wrapped around one of his legs her head on the pillow beside of him underneath his covers. Looking down at her he noticed she appeared to be fine, her hair and pony tail had returned to its normal length and not completely frazzed out beside the normal happenings of bed head, her face didn't have any markings from where she was hit or electrocuted from the giant screen, the makeup on her face was also not ruined. It appeared overnight that her supernatural healing had kicked in.

He cracked his neck before slowly disengaging himself as he got up out of bed so he hopefully wouldn't disturb her. Memories of the night before after both his and Ember's altercations with Phantom as he walked downstairs coming to his mind. He had brought the ghost girl to his home and immediately up to his room and placed her in his bed to let her rest. When they made it to his place it was near one in the morning and he stayed with Ember until around two just to make sure she would be fine. That hour he mostly just sat next to her holding one of her hands and watched as the rise and fall of her chest indicated that she was still somewhat alive despite being dead. It was something he almost always seemed to forget even while having Kitty and Johnny as friends that ghosts needed to breath, perhaps not in the same way as their alive counterparts but they did.

When he did leave the girl he grabbed a set of clothes to wear for tomorrow, that looked similar to what he was currently wearing and decided to take a shower. He had walked downstairs hoping he didn't wake his mom up as he found his two biker ghost friends already passed out on the couch with the blanket kept on the back of it wrapped around them. They were worried about their friend and he should of came down sooner to tell them she was fine, but if he were to be honest with himself besides wanting to take a shower he really didn't want to leave the rocker's side.

During his shower he had felt their energies acting up, it wasn't as bad as it was when Phantom had used his friend Tucker to for lack of a better term extinguish her flame. He had quickly finished and changed into tomorrows clothes as he made it back to his room throwing his dirty clothes into his hamper. He once again had sat down on the bed next to her to try and get some sleep of his own, it almost seemed like he had calmed the feeling from their energies down. Now here he was at seven am on a Saturday morning in the kitchen making breakfast for everyone.

At some point Kitty was the next one to wake up, screaming something about bacon as the smell of breakfast wafted through the house. She entered the kitchen and attempted to lunge for the plate full of bacon sitting on the counter only for Andrew to stop her, because when the girl woke up hungry, she was indeed hungry and he knew she would have ate the whole thing like it was nothing. He had to physically get her to sit down at the table before he brought her over a cup a tea and a plate containing a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with a bit of hot sauce on it and waffle buns. As she sat there eating he went about making five more sandwiches placing the last one in some aluminum foil and in the still somewhat warm oven from making the bacon to keep it warm.

When he was finally done he went over to the table with his own cup of tea and sandwich, setting his phone down next to him. The yawn and the slight bags under his eyes telling Kitty he hadn't really slept all that well.

"How are you and Ember doing after last night by the way?" She asked this, "I feel bad for Johnny and I passing out on you."

"She's fine. I'm fine. We're fine." Andrew said this before taking a sip of his tea. He looked at the ghost girl in front of him as if saying it really was fine, "She's still resting. I ended up staying with her."

"Speaking of last night." Johnny had then walked into the kitchen phasing his hand into the fridge grabbing a soda from it, "What was all that? I know I said you gave it to Phantom good, but for real. Kitten and I were holding you back at full strength and you still managed to break free from us." He then walked over to the counter grabbing one of the sandwiches off from its plate and taking a bite as he leaned against the counter. His shadow had appeared and grabbed one as well eating it whole before disappearing,

"I honestly don't know." Andrew sighed, "It's like I could feel Ember's anger, mixed in with my own. I was already semi-pissed off from him and Manson at Bucky's. When she went down I felt some of her other emotions at the time and I just snapped."

Kitty just nodded. The two biker ghosts were there in her life before Ember had passed on and also her after life once they also had passed on. She understood what her best friend could be feeling at times, but to actually feel it that was something that neither her nor Johnny had heard of before especially between ghosts and humans.

"I get what you're saying dude. Two things you shouldn't mess with is a man's ride and a man's woman." Johnny had said this.

Andrew just chuckled a bit. He knew Johnny wasn't wrong, "You do realize her and I aren't together, together right?"

Johnny took the last bite of his sandwich walking over to Kitty and wrapped his arms around her from behind the chair and sat his chin down on her shoulder, "No, but you could be. Ain't that right Kitten?"

Before Kitty could say anything more his mother had walked into the room. She was dressed how she was yesterday, sitting down at the table. Andrew had grabbed his and Kitty's plate putting it in the sink before grabbing the only remaining plate with food on it and placed it in front of her as well as poured her a cup of tea.

"Kitty, Johnny." Irene had said politely giving her greetings "You're most welcome here, but why so early?" She looked over at her son as if saying you better not have just gotten in.

"Actually Mrs. B, we got in earlier than expected, Johnny and I spent the night. There was an incident at the stadium." Kitty spoke up saving Andrew from his mother's wrath.

They sat there for a better part of ten minutes telling her about Phantom's unwanted presence. Kitty especially had to mention in detail that Andrew was the one who swooped in and saved her and that he had brought her home.

His mother took note of that, his son never brought a girl home that wasn't Kitty. Of course she was slightly disappointed that he had continued his earlier fight with the spirit known as Phantom. But seeing as she let it slide the first time as it was in defense of Ember she had let it slide this time, "I don't need to get the Blood Blossom do I?"

"Blood Blossom? Isn't that like..." Johnny had started only for Kitty to finish his sentence, "toxic to us ghosts?

"In it's natural form, it is know to disturb the spirits, especially during the early 1690's during the Salem Witch Trials. However it wasn't discover until about two hundred years later that by giving it just a touch of human blood it warps it ever so slightly causing it to heal instead of harm. It's one of the many close guarded secrets of my kind." Irene had given her explanation.

Johnny and Kitty had listened to his mothers explanation. Andrew on the other hand just shook his head considering it's the same explanation she had given him, "She's fine mom. She's was still resting when I came down to make breakfast." That was when he felt it those same feelings from last night back in full force as he dashed out of the kitchen.

On Ember's end she had woken up with start and quickly sat up trying to catch her breath. The dream turned nightmare she had just woken up from was the cause of this, it reminded her that it was the time of year close to her death day, the day she died and became a ghost. It was of her home from when she was alive, everything set ablaze in that unique orange that fire seemed to be before slowly turning to an eerily ghostly blue as she had tried to escape, the door was blocked off, she could of used her window but the metal made it too hot to try to open. It was only then that she had grabbed the only thing that she found comfort in, her guitar and held it close to her chest as she was being burnt alive.

She had tried to look around the room to calm herself, until she noticed she wasn't in her own bedroom back at her realm. Some of the posters she recognized given she had the same ones but these were better well kept since that were in frames to stop them from getting any damage. Trying to remember the night before she ran through it only for the last thing to be passing out as Phantom had started to mock her trying to stuff her in that thermos of his. it was only when she saw one sitting on the computer desk in the room that she had started to breath harder feeling a tightness in her chest. The combination of this and the nightmare she had just woken up from was causing her to have a panic attack.

It was then Andrew had opened the door to his room seeing Ember sitting up in his bed. She had a hand over her chest breathing harder than he knew she should have been, her eyes staring seemingly at nothing filled with the same emotions he was feeling.

Quickly making his way over to her and gently sitting down in front of her as he placed a hand on her shoulder, "Ember, look at me."

Ember had moved her head to look at him, his eyes full of concern despite their fiery orange that had caused her death. Something was playing at her energy that she knew was between the two as if it was telling her to calm down as well, it felt like worry.

Andrew had continued to talk to her, "Breath in and out slowly. You're safe here, no one is going to hurt you."

Ember listened to him. It didn't take long for her to get her breathing under control and the feeling in her chest to return to normal. Andrew had stayed there with her, gently speaking to her until she was seemingly back to normal. Both of them had noticed that the weird energy between them had also returned to normal.

"You know I usually don't go home with a guy on the first date." Ember had said this placing her hand on top of his that was on your shoulder, "At least I can trust you not to take advantage.

Andrew let out a singular chuckle, "If I would have done that Kitty would have banished me."

"And I would have burned you to a crisp." She had watched him as he slightly flinched, no way in hell did he want to be burned and banished, that was cruel and unusual punishment. She laughed slightly knowing almost exactly what he was thinking, it wouldn't have been the first time Kitty and her had done something similar, "Thanks for the save by the way. Not just now but also for last night."

Slowly removing his hand from her shoulder he just shook his head. He leaned back on his bed arms behind him as he looked at one of the posters on his wall, "I know we just met yesterday but you're a friend Em. You were just trying to live your dream, no one should basically be bullied because of that."

Ember smiled. No one when she was alive other than Kitty and Johnny had understood that her dream was to be a famous rockstar. And even then if she didn't become famous she would still have found some kind of job in the music industry, given that music was a big part of her life. However here was this guy that her two friends had told her about understanding that about her in less than twenty-four hours of meeting her. She wanted to jump him right there and she would have if she wasn't betrayed by her own stomach as it growled loud enough for them both to hear.

"Come on." Andrew stood up chuckling, "I cooked breakfast. Made sure to save you some."

Ember floated off his bed placing his feet on the floor and followed him out of his room and downstairs. As they turned a corner into the kitchen she wasn't expecting to be crushed by a hug, green hair filling her vision.

"You're okay." Kitty had said this as she practically leapt from her chair and ran over to her friend, "We were worried when Andrew just ran out of the room."

The rocker hugged her friend back slowly pulling away from her, "I'm fine. You know it takes more to keep me down."

As Andrew walked passed his mom he gave her a look as if asking her not to. It was only when the two girls had broken their hug she had decided to introduce herself to this spirit who had captured her sons interests.

Irene smirked as she walked over to the two girls and stuck her hand out for Ember to take, "So you're the spirit that's going to be my future daughter-in-law."

Kitty broke out giggling, Johnny had broken out laughing, Ember had started to blush, and Andrew accidently let the oven door slam shut. He turned around speaking almost in a whine, "Moooom!"

Irene had started to laugh as well, "Am I wrong to assume? She slept in your room last night did she not?"

Andrew had just walked over handing the foil wrapped sandwich over to Ember. Embarrassed or not it was better than he kept up his end of the deal now rather than later, "Mom, this is Ember McLain, Rock Princess. And Ember this is my mom, Irene Nazar-Branwen."

Ember had finally taken a hold of Irene's hand in her free one, "I'm not usually one for normal introductions." Andrew held back a laugh knowing how true that was given how she introduced herself to him yesterday.

His mother gently slipped her hand away, "Sorry if I embarrassed you dear. Messing with my son is an opportunity I couldn't pass up."

At this point Kitty was next to Johnny leaning in to him giggling a bit, "She did the same thing when she met me. You were busy so I popped into his room to go on one of my Johnny rants, I had to unbanish him just so she would believe he and I weren't a thing."

Andrew just put his face into one of his hands, "Please don't remind me. It didn't help that it was late at night and she thought I snuck you into the house, while she was asleep. It was only the first week of us knowing each other."

Finally after swallowing a bite of her sandwich Ember had laughed, "No offense Kitty but in regards to Johnny you do tend to get loud."

"I do not get loud." Kitty said this giving a friendly glare over to her friend.

"I beg to differ Kitten." The three other teens had stared at Johnny who had a smirk on his face, he did not just make a sex joke in front of Andrew's mother.

Irene had just laughed slightly, "You kids have fun. I have work that needs done." With that she had left the kitchen going to do who knows what as she walked into the living room opening the door to her raven's cage letting it fly out and onto her shoulder.

Ember had looked at Andrew as she took another bite. It was a simple sandwich but she had to admit that he was a good cook, "So, what are we doing today. As much as I would hate to I say it's best we kept a low profile."

Andrew looked at Ember. A smirk coming to his face as he looked over toward Johnny. Both boys had spoke together, "Rematch."

Amity Park - The Park

After Andrew's mom had left the four teens alone they had to decided to just hang out in Andrew's room for a few hours until the boys decided to have their rematch from the race when they met. During that time they mostly just talked or listened to music from Andrew's CD collection. Ember and Andrew had learned that their taste in music truly were similar, of course the posters on their respective walls indicated it but it was still nice. Anywhere from the late sixties to somewhere in the mid eighties, the more modern bands is where they seemed to split about the bands they had liked or even some before that.

One in particular being a group called Steel Panther that was one of Andrew's favorites from, the modern era. He had argued that they were a parody band in the vein of eighties glam and hair metal, and that despite that their music was actually pretty creative, a band meant to have a good time to. Ember had ended up arguing back to him that the parody nature ruined the integrity of the music or even degraded those they came before them.

To say that Kitty and Johnny didn't have good entertainment would have been blasphemy. They ended up watching the two argue back and forth like an old married couple giving each other a knowing look. If was even more hilarious when Andrew had put on one or two of their songs and by the end of the first one they had found Ember laughing along with the songs. She coincided at that point, it still wasn't her cup of tea, but she could see the appeal in it.

Now the four had found themselves in the parking lot that was connected to the city's park, "This is not what I meant by low profile." Ember started to complain, but it was false as the smile on her face said otherwise.

Kitty had giggled as she sat behind Johnny on his motorcycle, "What are you scared that your man can't drive as well as Johnny here."

"If I remember correctly I almost beat your man over there last time. And that was with you distracting me." Andrew had looked at Kitty giving her an accusing look.

Kitty gave him an innocent look, "A girls gotta support her man."

"Not my fault you don't have ghost powers Flamebrain. Even now you still don't." Johnny said this almost completely forgetting he did indeed have ghost powers, just not how you would think.

Andrew just leaned back on his motorcycle and smirked as he turned his head to look at Ember, "You know Em, if I didn't know any better I say he forgot who you were."

Johnny looked at the two getting at what Andrew was hinting at, "Hey, no fair that's cheating."

Ember just giggled and mocked Kitty's exact words, "A girls gotta support her man."

Ember and Andrew had laughed together as they lined up at the entrance of the parks parking lot. The two boys had agreed on two things before starting the race, the end of it being at the Nasty Burger, the other being no flying motorcycles. Sure he knew Ember could have made that possible for him but she would need to concentrate to be able to do it since it wasn't hers, and Johnny could do it practically endlessly since it was part of his powers and such. They however allowed any and all other forms of ghost powers within reason considering what's the fun in a street race if it wasn't the danger.

The two had revved their engine waiting, "Give them hell Rockstar." Ember spoke into his ear as soon as the light at the crossing turned red.

Andrew just smirked and took off getting the lead on the two biker ghosts. Andrew swerved in and out through traffic at high speeds, Ember turning them intangible when the gaps in traffic were too small to get through, all of this to the distaste of the other drivers on the road.

By the first turn however Johnny had caught up right behind him. Andrew took the turn wide drifting around an on coming vehicle, Johnny however instead took the inside lane turning intangible phasing through another vehicle using his shadow as sort of a makeshift nitrous boost. Kitty stuck her tongue out at them as they passed the two taking the lead from Andrew and Ember as they managed to get about two, maybe three car lengths ahead of them.

Andrew just smirked two could play at that game. He swerved his bike into the middle of the two lanes, "Think you can give me a speed boost?"

Ember grinned and floated in place on his motorcycle, "I got just what you need."

Ember turned around so she was facing behind of them and made her guitar appear in front of her. It was almost as if the two was acting as one as Andrew popped a wheelie to give just that little bit of extra boost while Ember created a sonic like wave centralized behind of them giving them a hell of a lot more boost.

Andrew held the wheelie as they caught up to the competition, Ember placed the guitar on her back and sat back down behind of him as the front wheel finally dropped, Andrew swerving into the right line directly in front of Johnny cutting him off.

The two laughed together keeping the lead for awhile. That was until Andrew felt it, his ghost sense going off, "Phantom!" He growled under his breath as his eyes started to glow the exact same way they did the previous night. Ember had felt the anger coming from him and wondered what wrong. Just a moment ago they were having fun racing their friends now here he was suddenly angry over nothing.

Purposely slowing down Andrew started to match Johnny's speed, "You two need to get out here." He sounded calm but the anger could be heard in his voice.

"Why? Scared you're about to lose." Johnny said this not even noticing Andrew's eyes were glowing.

Andrew shaking his head sighed, "Phantom is nearby... he already knows of Ember. He doesn't need to know of you guys as well."

Kitty had looked over at his two friends, "We could always stay and help you know, strength in numbers and all that."

"It's fine Kitty, he's right. You two don't need to be put in danger over something we did." Ember said this hearing the name her anger rising but doing much better to stay in control

Andrew had placed his fist out for Johnny to bump with his own, "You guys saw me last night. Do you two really think I'm going to let anything happen to her?"

Johnny bumped Andrew's fist and smirked as he lifted his motorcycle off the ground, "I guess not. Don't do anything I wouldn't do."

Kitty hovered over and gave Ember a slight hug before hovering back and sitting behind her boyfriend. Andrew almost snorted holding back a laugh trying his best to keep his anger in check as his eyes slowly started to fade back to normal. Their two friends flying away on Johnny's motorcycle probably back to the ghost zone.

Andrew by this point had slowed down significantly stopping at a stop sign at an intersection right in front of the Nasty Burger. The irony of it, "So much for winning the race."

Ember had giggled a bit only to stop being reminded of the situation as a blast of green ecto energy came flying at them landing on the ground in front of Andrew's motorcycle. A warning shot they knew as they both looked up into the sky seeing Phantom floating in the air overhead.

"Hey, Speed Racer. Why don't you learn to slow down." Phantom had said this only causing Andrew's anger and eyes to flair back up.

Ember just stared at him. Her eyes turning red, "Incase you haven't noticed Dipstick, we're not exactly doing anything evil."

Phantom had fired another shot at them. Ember floated off the motorcycle and stood in front of where it was about to hit Andrew, quickly grabbing her guitar off her back she swung it almost like a baseball bat and blocked the attacked sending it somewhere behind of them.

Phantom just laughed, "From what I saw you and lover boy over there violated dozens of traffic laws. As Walker would say... that's against the rules."

The ghost boy had swooped down from the sky about ready to punch Ember only for Andrew to get up off his motorcycle and place the ghost girl behind him making Phantom stop dead in his tracks as he ended up right in front of him staring straight into those eyes of his as they came face to face.

"Phantom! What did I tell you last night?" Andrew said this the anger clear in his voice.

By this time Tucker and Sam had showed up hearing what was going on. Sam had ran in and basically spear tackled Andrew to the ground as she landed on top of him. Ember had at that moment taken the opportunity to surprise Phantom by swinging her guitar hitting him in the face sending him flying back as she herself flew after him.

Andrew laying there confused for a moment saw the Goth on top of him staring down at him angry, he could only assume she took some sort of self defense class. He immediately pushed her off of him and stood up seeing Tucker there as well, however there were no signs of the two ghosts being anywhere near by. Though Andrew could feel Ember nearby through their energies, he knew that wasn't the case.

He gave another glance over at Tucker and then at Sam who was still of the ground, "Why do you three always have to start trouble when it's not warranted." Andrew practically screamed at the two in front of him

Sam had ended up finding her way off the ground, no fear what so ever while Tucker was shaking in it seeing his eyes. The Fenton/Phantom Trio fought ghosts together nearly everyday but something about those eyes told him to back off.

Sam however had just walked right up to him and poked her finger into his chest, "Unwarranted? You're the one hanging out with McLame."

Andrew had instinctively grabbed her wrist twisting it. It was clear she was in pain however he didn't let up he almost wanted it to break, "We were literally just on our way to the Nasty Burger for lunch." It wasn't the whole truth but it also wasn't a lie.

"Sam chill. Why would a Casper High student be trying to protect a ghost without a valid reason?" Tucker had said this. Of course he was still freaked but at least he was sensible.

Sam was about ready to say something however he immediately let go pushing her toward her friend. He could feel Ember's energy getting closer to him, the same thing happened as last night where he practically glided instead of ran over to a certain spot as he saw a blur of blue fire coming toward him and before he knew it he had caught her up against his chest, his arms wrapped around her waist as they both skidded to stop after being pushed backward from the impact.

"Sweeping me off my feet. What ever shall I do with you?" Ember smiled slightly as she floated there in his arms. She turned her head to look at him, his eyes softened a bit as he stared into her green ones.

Sam made a gagging noise from where she was standing aiming some sort of wrist laser at them both as they stayed like that for a few moments just staring at each other. She was about to fire it at them until Phantom came in flying at full speed toward them. He turned intangible about ready to grab Ember and phase through Andrew only for something else to happen. Andrew himself started to turn intangible himself, he didn't notice it at first until he saw his arms turning transparent . Ember was staring at him confused as she herself started to go intangible as well, however they both realized it wasn't of her doing as Phantom had flown right through them, his own intangibility not effecting either of them, his body turning back to normal as he slammed into a nearby light pole, like something out of a cartoon.

Ember and Andrew had just stared at each other as both spoke at the same time, "Did I/you just?"

The other two teens just watched as the twos body turned back to normal. They knew somewhat how Danny's intangibility worked that he had to be the one to interact with person or object for it to work and normally he would be the first one to turn transparent. From what they had just witnessed it definitely wasn't Ember who had initiated first contact.

"He has ghost powers?" Sam had shouted.

Tucker just looked confused, "How? The only human with ghost powers should be Danny. It's mathematically impossible."

Andrew and Ember just gave each other a look as if saying they'll figure this out later for now finish the fight with Phantom.

"And here I thought cartoons were fake." Phantom had gotten up off the ground holding his head before rushing at them again.

Sam fired the wrist laser at them, quickly thinking Ember summoned her guitar and blocked the blast and knocked it toward Phantom. Creating a shield of green ecto energy around him causing the beam to dissipate, it gave Andrew just enough time. He turned around and punched Phantom on his side as he got near them both. This caused him to drop to the ground on his knees with possibly a cracked rib as it took the wind out of him. Ember had smirked and fired her ecto energy from her guitar toward Tucker and Sam separating the two. Andrew and Ember made a break for it as he jumped onto his motorcycle.

Ember had followed suit immediately, "We'd love to stay and play. But seeing as you rudely interrupted our date it's time for us to split like a banana."

As they rode off catching a glimpse of Sam and Tucker rushing to help Phantom, Andrew spoke chuckling, "Really Em? You told them it was date. As if the whole world doesn't already think we're together, do we really need them thinking it as well?

She just giggled and moved a bit into his back more feeling him finally calm down. She spoke innocently, "Would it really be so bad if we were?"

"I wouldn't be opposed." After saying that he just sighed as he felt one of his hands on the handlebars slip through it and turn back to normal before he placed it back on, "But if I truly am developing powers, I need to get them under control before anything. I would hate to accidently hurt you."

Ember sighed as well, "I know I'm the Rock Princess but I can try to find out a few things, dig into some of the old stories that float around in the zone. It's not unusual for some of the myths lost to time to resurface."

"And you know this how?" Andrew had asked this raising an eyebrow though she couldn't see it.

"Trust me Rockstar, almost forty years in the zone and you'd be surprised who you run into. I assume you've heard of Jack Sparrow." Ember laughed a bit knowing that this pirate in particular could give Youngblood a run for his money.

Andrew just laughed as well giving him an idea for Halloween next month, "I believe that's Captain Jack Sparrow."

The two just laughed as they rode. It was nice to have this connection with somebody.

Ghost Zone - Ember's Lair

Ember had floated into her home in the Ghost Zone. For her safety she had Andrew drop her off near the Fenton's home so she could use their portal to reenter the zone. Of course she had her teleportation power but she was still recovering from last night and to teleport between worlds took a lot out of her. It also didn't help that she had to give Andrew a crash course on how to control his new found intangibility. He got the hang of it quickly enough considering it was one of the first things you should learn when becoming a ghost. Humans though that all their powers just came naturally to them but in reality it was like as if they were trying to learn a new hobby or skill set.

Turning on the lights she looked around her home and smiled a bit. Most thought being the Rock Princess of the Ghost Zone she would have turned her lair into some lavish mansion, but instead she kept it simple and took liberties where she could. Mostly the purple carpet that covered most of the apartment size lair besides the kitchen and the bathroom, she also added an extra room so she could have a recording studio. Most of her walls were also painted in a dark blue with some black trim thrown in to try to separate the colors a bit. The decor also appeared to be similar to the eighties all except for her couch which was more of a pit and her large flat screen television on the wall surrounded by her entertainment system, her home truly wasn't anything fancy, for the most part it almost seemed like a ghostly version on her home from when she was alive just smaller.

Snapping her fingers her guitar on her back disappeared as she made sure it went to its stand in her recording studio before sitting down on her couch placing her feet up on the coffee table. Her cellphone buzzing in her pocket she checked the message seeing it was from Kitty telling her she was coming over to her place, how the girl seemed to know when she was home she would never know. As she just waited she turned the television on to something, mostly just to have some background noise, from what she gathered it was a movie about some dead girls boyfriend who had come back from the dead with supernatural powers to get revenge on their killers. She would have to find out the name and find it somewhere so she could watch it from the beginning.

It wasn't long until Kitty came barging in and sat down on the couch beside of her, "So tell me girlfriend is it true he has ghost powers?"

Ember had turned down the television so it was nothing but a low mumble. Looking at her friend confused, how could she have possibly known what happened today her and Johnny were long gone before Phantom had caused them trouble.

"And you know what happened how?" Ember asked this staring at her friend.

Kitty just looked at her like she couldn't believe what she was hearing, "The media is covering it. Not just the human realm but also the Ghost Zone."

Ember just sighed pinching the bridge of her nose. Of course she couldn't catch a break, after last nights failed "take over the world" concert attempt and Phantom earlier she really shouldn't have been surprised. The Ghost Zone was literally the flipside of the human realm whatever happened there usually ended up happening here, it also wasn't unusual for the vice versa to happen either.

"You two looked like you were about ready to kiss." Kitty added giggling.

"We were not about ready to kiss." Ember glared at her friend no real malice behind it. Because she herself knew it looked like that and she herself wouldn't have minded if they did.

After a moment Kitty had pulled out her cellphone to some sort of video. The title reading "Ember McLain's new boyfriend is he human or ghost?" It was clearly edited since it contained some sort of voice over and one side of the screen showed a close up of his face with his eyes glowing, the other side showing a loop of what happened the previous night at her concert from the view of the crowd and near the Nasty Burger earlier showing that for a fact he was indeed the one to turn intangible first. In both cases it also looked like his running was more like floating, it was very subtle considering how close to the ground he was almost as if his flight power hasn't fully unlocked yet. He also appeared to have the supernatural strength as well giving his hits to Phantom and catching her.

"I don't know how Johnny or I didn't really notice the glowing eyes. I thought something was up when he carried you out to his motorcycle but before I had a chance to look again they appeared normal." Kitty exited off the video and placed her phone in her pocket.

"Keep it on the down low but he doesn't exactly know what is going on. I told him I would dig around." Ember sighed she had a decent idea on where to start, most likely Ghost Writer's library knowing he kept old books around filled with stories from the zone, but rarely did he let people go through them.

Kitty smiled hearing that, "You like Andrew don't you?"

Ember just looked at her friend almost snorting, "Am I that predictable?" When she just received a nod she continued, "But you're right I do. He himself said he wasn't opposed to us being together, but he wants to figure out what's happening with him before anything for risk of hurting me."

Kitty just let out an awww, "I knew meeting him would be good for you. He's way better than Skulker would have ever been. That trashcan only ever cared about hunting." her friend just started to go on a rant before saying, "I should tell him your death day is coming up, he'll probably want to do something nice for you."

Ember just sighed her face downcast, if her nightmare from that morning was any indication her death day was literally next week, the last day of September. It was sort of one of the unspoken and one of Walker's unwritten rules that all ghosts had a temporary truce on their death days, well at least the ones that were more human like her. Normally she spent that day just lazing around eating ice cream not wanting to see anybody, some ghosts chose to celebrate it giving it was the day that were born into their afterlife, other like her saw it as a reminder that they were no longer among the living of the human realm. A slight smile came to her face however upon thinking about spending it with Andrew, it would be good to actually do something for a change.

Ghost Zone - Various Places

Unbeknownst to either Andrew or Ember, other ghosts across the ghost zone were also hearing the news and rumors of the two. Some like the Observants talked to the ghost of fate who she herself said she could do nothing, that the two was bound by fate to come together and by fate the powers Andrew was getting was rightfully his to have claimed. Others like Skulker, the self proclaimed Greatest Hunter in the Ghost Zone, he himself was preparing for the hunt, another ghostly human he could have as a pelt and to take him right from under what he considered his no good ex made it all the sweeter. Walker, the Prison Warden had his police force plastering Wanted Dead and Afterlife posters of the two, no way did he want another ghost boy to deal with and Ember by association belonged right along with him in his prison behind bars and from what he understood about humans the only way to keep them inside his walls were if they were a ghost. Ember however seeing she was already in her afterlife didn't need to be so direct about it.

However there was one spirit in particular that was interested in them, for centuries she had hidden away deep within the ghost zone, a part where nobody dare travel unless they were fools. The ancients long ago sealing away her husband and child, the only two who knew she was alive, the family's ghostly knight who she herself hasn't seen in quite sometime. The other who came after her about fourteen years ago, she had killed him, it was sad really considering he had a wife and child of about two years old at that time, she almost took pity knowing the child would never meet their father and the wife wouldn't have a chance to see her husband again, even in her own afterlife. For the good of one day releasing her family she had to do what she must.

Looking at the human through some sort of viewing globe the orange part of his hair, even the eyes seemed to remind her of the one who had come after her. She laughed darkly to herself as she floated over to her faux throne, the irony of it if he truly was the one she was thinking, and if it was... it was near time to put her plan into action.
