Chapter 18

"I make the angel scream, and the devil cry!"

-Devil May Cry 4-

"The two brothers make a very formidable force. Heaven and hell are right to fear them for they do not align to either. They can neither be harmed by angelic weapons for they are not fully demon, nor do they fear the influence of a demon because their demon sides protect them. It is not their fault they ended up here, but I also cannot deny the influence they have accumulated. What the intruder Azazel did to upset the balance of power in hell, they want to swing it back. But in doing so, I fear they may accidentally upset the balance even more. I see the beginnings of demons worshipping them and putting them before my name. Whether they realise it or not, Dante and Vergil may end up contributing to something irreparable. Sparda, my dear friend, what would you have done?"

- Lucifer's diary entry

Angel Dust wiped his mouth with a tissue paper while the shark-like demon that was in front of him zipped up his pants. As the spider demon got up, the other demon tossed a wad of cash at his face while shaking his head.

"Pathetic poofter," he muttered as he left the room.

Staring blankly at the cash wad, Angel knelt down to pick it up. He stared at it for a bit before gritting his teeth angrily tossing it at a vanity mirror and cracking it in the middle. A felt tear flowing down his cheek that only made his rage burn even more. With a roar of anger, Angel punched and shattered the mirror while bloodying his knuckle. He started sobbing before using his hand to wipe away his still flowing tears.

He saw a picture of Valentino on the table and slammed it flat onto the vanity table. Angel tried to control his sobs when he heard his phone ring. Looking over to his purse that was on his quilted bed, he rubbed his eyes as he read the message sent by his boss. The spider demon was aware that they were expecting some guests for a 'very special occasion' and Valentino wanted him to perform for them during dinner. Gripping his phone tightly, Angel wanted to stuff it back into his purse when another message popped up.

His eyes widened when he saw that both Cherri and Husk sent messages one after another. Reading Husk's message first, the winged cat demon had told him that Fat Nuggets was still in his care and that Alastor told him to expect company. When reading Cherri's message, Angel knew exactly who that 'company' was. There was no way that both messages arriving at the same time was planned, it had to be a coincidence, he thought. He should have been happy to hear that he was coming. However, his free hands clenched tightly instead and he shoved his phone into the purse before going to the vanity table drawer to get his makeup kit.

Meanwhile, the guards outside Velvet's estate stood with batons out and were in a combat-ready stance. In front of them, a deer demon in red walked towards them casually while humming an old tune from the era which he originated from. He was spinning his can in his right hand until he reached the great black gate that separated the estate's compound from the outside world. The guards had visible looks of worry on their faces, but they stood their ground and stepped in front of him. At the same time, Alastor stopped and looked at each of them with a wider grin on his face.

"A fine day to you gentlemen," he said in an overly friendly tone. "I don't suppose I could be allowed entry?"

"If you got an RSVP, yeah. Otherwise, best you turn around," the taller of the guards said with an attempt in making his voice intimidating.

"Oh, dear me, they seem to have forgotten my invitation," Alastor replied while faking disappointment. He perked up and tapped the chest of the guard who answered him with his cane and said, "Well, no use dwelling on that. If you lads would be kind enough to let me in, I won't bother you any further."

"No can do. RSVP or bust, Alastor," the shorter of the guards said as he pressed his pistol against the deer demon's chest.

Alastor smiled at them and a dark hole appeared beneath the guards and tentacles dragged them into the yawning depth with the two having little time to scream in fear. Once it closed up, Alastor allowed himself into the compound and proceeded forth while whistling as if nothing had happened. In the meantime, back at a private hall located in the west wing of the manor, Valentino had grabbed Vox by the collar and shook him angrily.

"You idiot, we've worked so hard for this and now it's gonna fall apart!" Valentino shouted angrily.

"I've my doubts, Val," Vox replied in a calm but annoyed voice. He knocked the moth demon's hands away and adjusted his collar. "Dante's gonna stop at nothing and I reckon he'll even fight the angels and protect the royalty. Let's not forget his brother is still out there."

"So, we're just gonna give up our plan to take over hell?"

"Not with them around. We've other ways to wrest power from the hellborns. I think it's best we just return what belongs to them and let them be on their way."

Valentino laughed and glared at the TV demon. "Listen to yourself. What we have here is a piece of power that'd be coveted by most demons. With this, we can invade all circles of hell, bring in outside help with a push of a button, and maybe even invade the human world. To hell with the fucking status quo; we can be masters of hell and earth."

"No, YOU listen to yourself," Vox shot back and jabbed a finger at Valentino's face. "It's one thing to initiate a total purge and creating a power vacuum in hell, but to invade the human world? You're asking for heaven to obliterate your stupid ass! They'll not let this one slide so easily, and you can bet that Dante and Vergil will be gunning for you too. I want no part of this if that's the case."

Both glared at each other for a bit until Valentino held out his hand. "Give Yamato's power to me," he said while waving his fingers.

"For what?" Vox asked with narrowed eyes.

"Since you want no part in this, then I'll continue where you left off. To think you're such a ball-less coward," Valentino growled.

"I'm being cautious here," remarked an annoyed Vox.

Before the argument could continue, Velvet came into the hall. Despite seeing her two compatriots in the middle of an argument, she continued to grin at them. "Everyone's here," she announced with a maniacal tinge to her voice.

Valentino growled and said, "We'll discuss this later."

Vox looked on in silence as his partner followed Velvet out of the hall, leaving him alone to his own thoughts. He took out the broken orb and inspected it closely as his mind started formulating some ideas on how to repair Yamato's dimension-cutting power. Since he already had some devices manufactured using the full power, the TV demon wondered if he could use it to substitute the missing piece. With that in mind, he pursed his lips and nodded lightly. Since he was already privy to what the moth demon wanted to announce for the day, Vox decided to skip the gathering.

1 hour earlier

Dante flipped a silver coin that he found in the seat of the limousine. Seated opposite of him was Vaggie, a look of annoyance plastered across her face. Upon the third flip, the demon hunter opened his palm and the coin landed head's up. He let out a gleeful 'hmph' and placed the coin back onto the seat. Looking at Vaggie, Dante cocked his head questioningly and opened his arms.

"What?" he asked.

"I really have no idea what Charlie sees in you," Vaggie replied with a frown.

"I'm not sure what you mean."

"You and your brother just one day decided to appear here and she just…puts so much trust in you. Then when you up and disappeared like that, Charlie still trusts you. Why?"

Dante blinked and relaxed his posture. "Maybe I'm just good-looking," he said jokingly while flashing a grin at his reflection on the window. "But I'm not trying to be anything except myself. What, you afraid I'm gonna steal her from you?"

"Fuck you," Vaggie cursed half-heartedly.

"C'mon, I'm not even your enemy nor am I trying to win her heart. Why you gotta be like that?"

"Cos I can't figure you out."

He paused and chuckled. "Oh, that's it? Alright, I'm Dante the halfie demon hunter, but I'd like to think myself as a reasonable guy."

"Smartass," Vaggie remarked with a crooked smile. "Fine, maybe I'm just overthinking things. It's just…well…"

"Look, Vaggie, I just want to go home," Dante explained softly. "Things aren't getting any easy for us. Believe me, I've no interest in overstaying my welcome."

"I know, but it feels like you're a long-time resident here, being so popular that your name's plastered all over the place. Maybe people just want to kill you and get the money, but so far, you're whacking folks left and right like you've done it for years," she said while staring at his sword. "Correction: you've definitely done it for years."

"I've been in the demon-hunting business since I was 19, so yeah, safe to say I've got experience."

"So, what got you into demon-hunting then?"

"That's a long story," Dante replied wistfully.

He summoned his sword and when he ran his other hand over the sword, Vaggie's eyes widened when she saw the sword change forms. First, it became a sword with a human skull on one side and a demon one on the other. When he ran his hand over it again, it turned into a demonic-looking sword with organic parts to it.

"Whoa, how'd you do that?" Vaggie asked while pointing at it.

"Devil Arms can change forms. This form is the Devil Sword Sparda, my father's sword. He was a demon who saved humanity from the forces of hell and became its greatest protector. Sparda worked hard to separate the demon world from the human one. When he split his power, there was Rebellion," Dante explained while transforming it into his original sword. "There was also one other blade that was created, you may know it as the Yamato."

"Your brother's sword," Vaggie whispered.

Dante nodded his head and looked at Rebellion with a nostalgic look on his face. "Sparda married a human a named Eve, and she gave birth to two sons. Half demon, half human. We went our separate ways after our parents died, our mother was killed by demons. That was what motivated me to hunt and destroy demons," he muttered darkly. He finally changed it back to the Devil Sword Dante and held it up in the air. He let go of it and let it float. "This is the sword that formed from the unity of Sparda and Rebellion, the closest it can get to being my father's original power."

"Christ, Dante, how fucking powerful are you anyway?" Vaggie asked.

"Who knows," he said with a shrug and chuckle. "It's not like you can measure it." He grabbed his sword and unsummoned it.

"I guess," she muttered. "I'm also curious as to why you wanna save Angel."

"What's that word for it?" Dante snapped his finger several times to jog his memory. Finally, his face lit up. "Altruism, a quality that separates humans from demons. At least, that's what I thought to be the case until we came here."

"Do you really think he can be saved?" Vaggie asked.

"You folks used to be human, no? Perhaps there is still hope in preserving what's left in him that makes him human. That altruism is maybe what Charlie would be looking for in someone if she wants to reform them."

Vaggie thought about it and pursed her lips. She nodded slowly and said, "You know, maybe you're right."

"What about you then, Vaggie? Do you not want to be reformed if it means having a second chance?"

To that, she merely smiled bitterly and remained silent.

Back at present time

Valentino had a tinge of concern course through his body when he saw Alastor among the crowd, but he had no illusions that he would easily overpower the guards anyway. Besides, the deer demon's interests – like the interests of many other demons – were self-serving. It was unlikely he would aid hell's royalty when battle broke out. As long as they did not touch the accursed hotel, Valentino was sure Alastor would not do anything to ruin his plans.

He also got word that the demonic royalty had already begun gathering for their own meeting as well. All was according to plan so far and he had several contingencies in place just in case one fails. For the most part, he hoped the holy bomb would be enough. While Valentino looked around the grand hall where all the other overlords and powerful demons were gathered, he caught sight of the deer demon staring at him with a menacing grin.

The moth demon glared back before lighting a cigarette and turning to Velvet and whispered something to her. She nodded her head and left the hall. At the same time, Angel Dust entered the hall with a tray of foods in his hand, serving the guests food and attempting to entertain them and playfully resisting their lewd gestures. When the spider demon approached Valentino, the moth demon smiled at him and patted his cheek.

"So, how're we doing?" he asked with a friendly voice that did not hide its fakery.

"Doing fine, Val, couldn't have asked for anything better," Angel replied with a forced smile.

"See, you don't need no stinking hotel to make you happy or some shit. With me, I can get you everything you need. Saving sinners, pah, royalties are so high on their horses they forget about reality."

"Yeah…definitely."

"Let's not forget, Angel Cakes, you're mine and you're not going anywhere until I say so."

"Of course, Val," Angel nodded in agreement but his grip on the tray tightened. "How can I forget."

"Well, here's a face I have not seen in quite a while," Alastor remarked as he approached the two, causing Angel to turn around quickly and almost knocking into Valentino. "Good day to you, Valentino," he greeted the moth demon.

"Al, what're you doing here?" Angel asked quickly before Valentino could question Alastor.

"There was a notice about a meeting for all the "powerful demons and overlords". I couldn't help but drop by and see what it's all about," Alastor replied.

"I don't recall sending you an invitation," Valentino snapped.

"Does it really matter at this point?" Alastor asked rhetorically while tapping his cane on Valentino's chest. "Besides, I'm not here to stir up trouble, seeing that you're very much capable of it on your own. Quite a lucrative side business that is too."

"Whatever," Val said dismissively. "You stay out of my way if you know what's good for you."

"Why, I wouldn't dream of interfering," the deer demon said with a little laugh. He turned his head when he heard some commotion coming from near the main entrance. "I know someone else who would though."

Suddenly, the front entrance shattered into thousands of wooden shards as a red shockwave struck it. Through the dust and debris, a human in a red coat and a one-eyed moth demon leapt into the hall with weapons drawn. The guests had moved back slightly and formed a large semi-circle around the two and most of them had guns and melee weapons drawn for a fight. Dante and Vaggie stood up straight in unison and the devil hunter gave his sword a casual swing to dissipate the remaining demonic power on it.

Looking around, Dante scanned the area until he saw Valentino, Angel Dust, and Alastor standing at one corner of the hall. "Sorry to be a party-crasher, but I'm looking for someone important," he said casually. Instinctively, Valentino grabbed a hold of Angel's shoulder and gripped in tightly enough that the spider demon winced in pain. Dante pointed his sword at their general direction and smiled cockily. "I've another score to settle as well."

"Quit fucking around," Vaggie growled at him through gritted teeth. "We've come to take Angel back with us, he's our patient and our responsibility," she said loudly while also looking at Valentino's direction.

Angel had opened his mouth to say something, but Valentino closed it with a hand. "You're wasting your time. He's going nowhere." Turning to Dante, aggressively pointed at him and said, "As for you, Dante, I'll have you finished off once and for all. I'm tired of your meddling and when I'm done with you, your brother's next."

"Try me, moth boy, I'm not holding back anymore," Dante shot back while a silhouette of a horned demon suddenly engulfed him for a second before disappearing.

"Holding back?" Vaggie asked with a confused look.

Before she got her answer, Dante tossed his sword into the air and opened his arms invitingly. As the crowd of demons watched on in confusion, the sword pointed itself tip first at Dante's chest before plunging right at him. Everyone in the room reacted with a grimace, out of horror, or sheer confusion, and even Valentino had dropped his cigarette. Dante let out a loud roar before his entire body erupted in flames and changed into a truly demonic visage. The ground beneath him cratered and the energy released had knocked nearby demons and Vaggie onto the floor.

"That's Dante?!" someone exclaimed.

"That doesn't even look like him in the posters!"

Before anyone could react, Dante raised his fist and swung it hard at the nearest demons. The punch sent a group of them flying into the air. Once the attack started, the demons shook themselves out of the confusion and started shooting and stabbing at him while ignoring Vaggie. Dante's blows made short work of his opposition and when he started swinging his sword, more began dying in droves. Bullets did not slow him down at all and even with a group of them sticking swords and knives into him, he just walked through time like they were nothing. When he slammed the ground with his fist, the explosion cleared a way for him to Alastor.

However, by that point, Valentino had dragged Angel to the second floor. Vaggie saw the opening and gave chase while Dante flew upwards instead and broke through the ceiling. Valentino shoved Angel into a nearby room and slammed the door shut before Vaggie and Dante caught up with him. With the two boxing him in from both sides of the corridor, the moth demon grinned and cracked his knuckles.

"Alright, let's play then. I'll go first," he snarled.

He twisted around quickly and threw a punch at Vaggie but she sidestepped and stabbed her spear at him. However, Valentino grabbed a hold of her spear and threw her at Dante before he could assist her. He caught her and put her down again but by that time, Valentino had leapt up and kicked him across the face. The demon hunter did not stagger and instead grabbed a hold of his leg and slammed him into the wall that separated Angel's room from the corridor. The impact made a hole in it and the moth demon was thrown into a cupboard.

Angel gasped when he saw Dante step in through the hole, but the demon hunter only spared him a fleeting glance before focusing on Valentino getting up again. Vaggie called out to him from the other side to come with her, but the spider demon hesitated as his boss got back up and wiped away a bit of blood that was on the side of his mouth. He spat out a wad of blood and looked at him.

"Don't you fucking go anywhere," he growled angrily before attacking Dante again.

As the battle went back and forth between Vaggie, Dante, and Valentino, Angel took the chance to run, but he saw that the stairs were blocked by the other demons who were wondering if they should go up and fight. Since there was no other way downstairs, the spider demon went to the roof and waited there as the sound of grunts and explosions filled the hallways. When he reached the rooftop, Angel quickly slammed the door behind him shut while panting hard from the exertion.

Before he had the chance to relax and gather his thoughts, the door was thrown wide open and Vaggie slid across the floor like a ragdoll. Bloodied as she was, she was still alive and moving. A second figure emerged from the doorway, a shadowy giant the form of a moth with multiple red eyes whose hateful glares searched the area independently. Angel had only seen Valentino's full demon form only once before and even though his rage was not directed at him, the sight of it chilled him to the bone.

Towering over the still hurting Vaggie, Valentino picked her up and started crushing her neck. Angel fell onto his back and despite his desire to help, he could not find the courage to get back onto his feet to do something, even then it was not like he could do much about it at all. As she started gasping for air and scratching at Valentino's shadowy hands, a purple ball of demonic energy knocked him off balance and caused him to let go of her. Both Valentino and Angel looked around and saw Dante by the doorway with his hand outstretched. By then, his wings had unfurled two pairs of demonic wings that made him look like a fiery angel of death.

Valentino screeched at him and surrounded the entire roof with a veil of shadow so thick it blocked out all light. Despite the unnatural darkness, the fire from Dante's body shone through it like a beacon. Invisible strikes knocked him around multiple times as Valentino's demonic body melted with the darkness, yet the demon hunter took the hits without so much as falling over. For a moment, the fires in his body glowed slightly brighter, then Angel felt the air around him become heavy.

Time around them slowed considerably as Dante summoned his sword and a demonic circle was etched into the ground beneath him. When time resumed, the demon hunter started slashing wildly and hitting Valentino's otherwise invisible body before releasing a burst of energy from the sword that knocked the moth demon out of the darkness and reverted his demon form. With his energy finally spent, Dante returned to his human form and landed onto the ground next to a speechless Vaggie.

Despite the heavy punishment received, Valentino still managed to stand up, albeit slipping twice as he tried to gather strength in his weakened body. Dante helped her up before storming towards the moth demon and pressing his shotgun against his gut. A seemingly unconcerned Valentino looked down and gave out a croaky laugh before grabbing a hold of his shotgun and pushing it harder into his abdomen.

"You know you can't kill me like that, right," Valentino said with a bloody smile.

"I know, which is why I brought something along with me," Dante said as he brought out the angelic chain whip.

"Idiot…killing me will not release that whore you called friend. He dies with me," said the moth demon said, his hand reaching into a pocket in his coat to retrieve a scroll case. "He'll be free on MY terms, isn't that right, Angel Cakes?" he asked and looked at the wide-eyed spider demon.

Angel looked at Dante, at Vaggie, then finally at his boss. He took a gulp of saliva and limped towards Valentino, causing him to smile. However, when he was next to him, Angel Dust scowled and balled his right hand into a fist before socking him in the face. The strike caused even Dante to raise an eyebrow out of surprise and approval, but Valentino was not impressed by it.

"Fuck you, Val, I'm done," Angel muttered angrily.

"I don't think so," Valentino growled. He let go of the shotgun and punched both Dante and Angel, causing them to fall over. Looking at Angel, he said, "You know, I had thought about forgiving you of your debt if you'd just listen to what I said, but you had to go soft. You're a traitor to your own friends, Angel Cakes, nobody's gonna like you. You got nowhere to go but here."

"That's not true! Charlie still has hope in you!" Vaggie called out.

"Hope, such a pointless thing treasured by many only to be disappointed when reality sets in. Face it, sweetheart, sinners will always be sinners. That hell princess is selling you a pipe dream. There is no salvation for the eternally damned!" Valentino bellowed and pulled out a pistol loaded with angelic bullets. "And the sooner you come to terms with it, the better. Pick a choice, Angel Cakes. You be a good boy and continue working for me, and I'll forget you even crossed my path. If you want to join them, I'll make sure they have nothing to save," he said and pointed the gun at him.

Angel looked at Dante before taking a deep breath and glaring back at his boss. "If getting obliterated means you not having a plaything, then I hope Dante fucks you a million times over," he replied while giving him the middle finger.

Insulted, Valentino pulled the trigger multiple times. Vaggie screamed in horror and Angel closed his eyes. However, he felt a gust of wind in front of him and when he opened his eyes, he saw Dante holding up his hands as if he was in a kung fu stance and blocking the bullets before returning a blast of energy back at the moth demon. The blast was so powerful that it launched him close to the edge of the roof. Valentino groaned in pain and coughed up blood, a sight which made Angel smile inwardly.

"Dante, I think we're surrounded," Vaggie called out from one of the corners. She looked down and saw an angry mob of demons and several fully transformed overlords surrounding the entire estate and waiting to tear them apart.

"You 'think'?" Dante quipped when he saw the crowd for himself. "I can fight my way through this but I'm more concerned about getting you two out of here alive."

"You've got nowhere to go, Dante!" Valentino shouted in maniacal triumph. "Best you just give up and die!"

"If they can catch me!" the demon hunter retorted and took out a dark blue shard from his pocket. "Keep your fingers crossed, ladies."

The shard transformed into a tanto and he cut the air behind them and opened a portal. He beckoned Angel over and pushed Vaggie through it. Valentino scrambled onto his feet quickly and ran towards them, desperate not to let them get away again. Dante put his hand over Angel's shoulder and fired his shotgun at the charging moth demon before leaping backwards into the portal and closing it back up.

Dante and Angel landed next to Vaggie in what seemed like an alleyway. The sky was dark and the winds were howling before giving way to an ever-strengthening rainstorm. One of the first things that the demon hunter noticed was that the air was considerably fresher and lighter. As for the environment, it felt less oppressive and heavy. Dante took off his jacket and threw it over Angel's shoulders.

"Where the hell are we?" Vaggie asked while shivering from the cold and wetness. "And don't push me like that, will you?!" she remarked angrily while punching Dante in his arm.

"Sorry," the demon hunter replied with an apologetic smile. Turning to Angel, he looked at him with a concerned look and asked, "You alright, Angel?"

"Yeah…I'm fine, kinda," Angel replied. "Look, Dante, I –" Angel started but the demon hunter brought up a finger to his mouth to shush him.

"Hang on, lemme go take a look," he said while going to the alleyway entrance.

Much to his pleasant surprise, he found the streets populated with cars and normal humans running to seek shelter from the rain. Apparently, the portal took them to the human world, but which one? The city he was in definitely was not Red Grave, so did that mean he was in their human world? Dante felt his pocket for the shard but much to his chagrin, it was missing even though he swore he put it back in when he leapt through the portal.

Unless the thing had somehow warped away during the transition, Dante mused internally as sweat dripping from his forehead mixed with the rain.

"So, what's the situation?" Vaggie asked as she approached him.

He looked at her and said, "We're in the human world, but I'm afraid we'll be stuck here for a bit."

She frowned at him. "What'd you mean by that?"

"I'll explain later. First things first, let's get outta the rain," Dante said while dodging the question.

"I can offer you a quicker solution, Vergil. Why do you get yourself strung along so easily? I have the grimoire with me and all I need you to do is to kill Stolas and those imps and get rid of Striker as well for daring to capture my daughter. Do these for me, and I'll even send you a passage for the portal spell so you don't have to see me personally and be on your way as soon as you wish. A simpler task compared to guarding his sorry existence for the next 3 days after all. I'll give you 12 hours to decide, so call back this number when you've made your choice."

Vergil closed his phone and pondered while the rest of group were busy joking around. He wondered who the hell was Striker and how this Stella managed to get his number. Admittedly, he definitely liked the idea of just getting it over with and going back to his own dimension, but after spending some time with I.M.P. and Stolas, Vergil had started to secretly enjoy their company even if they were an uncouth bunch.

Even if he accepted the offer, he had no idea where Striker or the daughter would be. It was like asking him to navigate a maze without giving him at least a crudely drawn map. Searching for them would make no difference as it would be wasting his precious time anyway. Looking at Stolas, Vergil could not bring himself to pull out his sword and stab him. Should he tell the owl demon about it? Would he ask Blitzo to turn them around and head back to Imp City and waste even more time?

For a moment, the blue demon had spaced out for a bit until he heard Blitzo call his name. "Yo, V, you dreaming about someone's ass or something?"

"Nothing of that sort," Vergil retorted. "What is it you want?"

"I was asking if you had fought other demon hunters before," Blitzo repeated a question that Vergil had missed earlier. "You know, since you're half-demon?"

Vergil thought about it and said, "Closest example I got was my brother fighting me."

"Sounds pretty ironic, isn't it?" Moxxie asked. "A half-demon hunting other demons?"

"He wasn't hunting me; we just had to…settle some disputes. And no, hardly ironic given that demons murdered our mother," Vergil growled.

Moxxie swallowed a wad of saliva and fanned himself with his hand. "Let's uh, not dig any deeper eh."

"It'd be best. Why the sudden question anyway?" asked a curious Vergil.

"It's a funny story," Stolas answered. He tapped his chin with a claw and smiled. "There was that time we had a run-in with a group of humans."

A/N: Well folks, Ep. 6 and I'm loving it. Let's face it, Dante and Vergil will wipe the floor with D.H.O.R.K.S. With Dante now temporarily trapped in the human world with two demons, he's gonna have a bit of work to do to get them back safely to hell. After all, some banished angels are still roaming about and D.H.O.R.K.S. is still active. And yes, I had actually planned for Dante to travel to the human world even before the new episode dropped, so hooray for coincidences!
