*Turtles fighting the Foot*

Mikey: Watch I'm finna DUNK on these bitches!

Leo: You're gonna WHAT

Mikey: *slams a smoke bomb on an enemy's head* Ha KOBE!

Leo, crying: please I have no idea what you're saying,,,

OKAY so. Rise of the TMNT. I've seen 3 episodes and I love them.

HOWEVER I will probably not include that universe into my writing anytime soon, just because I haven't gotten the full vibes of every character yet. Also because Leo is a meme himself and I don't know if I'm ready for him to make such a drastic change in my writing

Also small side note, In down with the sickness Splinter says Raph is his favorite son and Leo thinks he himself is the least favorite? I mean,,, its different? I guess? Its kinda weird to see Leo being super clumsy and Donnie change into a world domination evil genius at the drop of a hat. Mikey is pretty much the same except he doesn't encourage Leo's puns and Raph is pretty hard to mess up in my opinion but he's definitely a bit softer.

That being said, I love them, I just won't write with them anytime soon.

ALRIGHT HERE'S WHERE THE STORY STARTS IN CASE YOU WANTED TO SKIP MY LIL RANT THING

Donnie sat down to his computer and sighed in happiness as the screen lit up. The quiet whirring of the fans was enough to keep him content for a lifetime.

CRASH

Okay, so maybe not THIS lifetime.

He counted down the five seconds on both hands.

... Three, two, one... And-

His door burst open and a sheepish Mikey panicked to keep the doorknob from hitting the wall.

Don glared expectantly.

"Oh! Hey Don!" Mikey's face lit up in a practically genuine smile. The undertones of worry and panic stopped his expression from having its desired calming effect. Don couldn't help it when his frown deepened.

"What did you break." It wasn't a question, not after the week they'd had. Mikey had been in his lab at least twice a day for three days in a row.

His little brother's smile became forced. "Oh. That. Uh... Okay, I know you're gonna love this story-"

"That's it Mikey!" Don stood up, barely keeping himself from slamming his hands on the desk. "I've had to fix everything from the shower curtain to the toaster all week! You have to understand how tiring this all is for me!"

Mikey dug his toe into the floor. "Well, technically, Leo broke the toaster..."

"Not the point! What I'm saying here is-"

"Oh no, Don, please don't-"

"I'm not fixing any more stuff until you fix whatever it is you broke!"

Mikey flinched. "Ooooh, that's what I was afraid of."

Donnie pointed behind him. "Out. Go. Now."

"You don't even want to know what it is-"

"Nope! I am going to sit here and enjoy my time alone. Leave."

Mikey turned on his heel slowly and shuffled out. Normally, he would leave the door open to annoy Don, but seeing as to his near mental breakdown, he figured it wasn't so hard to close this time.

As soon as the door clicked shut behind him, Mikey sprinted for the living room, where Leo and Raph were waiting for him. Well, Leo was waiting for him. Raph was just watching their mistake for the fun of it.

Leo stood up from the couch as if he were about to say 'What's the news, Doc? Give it to me straight.' Mikey nearly sniggered at the thought, but the reality of the situation brought him back.

He answered Leo's question before Leo could ask it. "He's not gonna fix it."

Leo took a step back dramatically, one hand on his chest.

Raph snorted. "Guys, it's just the Wii. It's gonna be fine."

Leo whirled on him. "No. It's not okay. We need that Wii."

Raph stood up, hands up non-threateningly. "Listen, you guys CAN just watch cable TV like the rest of us peasants. Just because it's the only thing hooked up to the Netflix account doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Seriously."

Leo had been listening with a horrified expression, which didn't leave his face. "How else am I supposed to watch every episode of 'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe' in the correct order? They don't even play it on any channel except Boomerang, and we don't have the full cable plan for it!"

Raph streched his hands above his head and began making his way to the stairs. "Well, there is always one other option." He paused at the bottom of the stairs and observed Leo's hopeful and trusting face.

"You could always watch it on YouTube." Leo fell to his knees as Raph laughed all the way up the stairs.

Mikey stepped around the couch and knelt down next to Leo. "Uh, what's so bad about YouTube?"

Leo gripped his shoulders and shook him slightly. "Don't you get it? That site is nothing but a spiral to the inevitable feeling of hopelessness."

Mikey tried for a confused smile. "I'm sorry, what?"

Leo let him go and leaned back against the couch cushions. "Every time I go to that awful place I wind up watching the proper ways of cleaning a trombone at three in the morning, or worse, the many different yet useful ways to clean with vinegar and baking soda! It's a trap designed to capture and use every man's flaw- the need for knowledge."

Mikey backed away as slowly as he could. "Okay, Leo. Okay. I'm gonna go stand somewhere else that isn't here."

Mikey sighed from his standing spot in the kitchen, barely a room away. Leo was still upset about the Wii. He hadn't blamed Mikey for it, even though it was his fault.

Damn those wrist straps and their safety warnings.

It was just bowling.

...

Raph was awake as soon as someone opened his door. Sai in hand (He usually fell asleep holding them) he sat up and prepared an attack. Luckily for Mikey, he turned on a light.

"Mike!" Raph stage-whispered to the figure in the doorway. "What do you want?"

"I need your help." He stepped forward and used the same whispering tone. "You're the only other person in this house who knows anything about electronic stuff and how to fix it."

Raph scowled. "No way! Do you even know what time it is?"

Mikey glanced at his cell. "It's two."

Raph resisted the urge to beat his younger brother with his pillow. Even still, he found himself getting out of his hammock and putting his mask on.

"Why is this so damn important?"

Mikey sighed and followed him out the door. "I was the one who broke it."

"Surprising."

"I didn't use the wrist strap and the remote went flying. It knocked the Wii down from the top of the TV."

Raph snorted. "Yeah, I saw the part where it fell. Also saw the part where Don said 'no' to fixin' it." They reached the living room. "Do you have any tools?"

Mikey grabbed a Target bag from behind the couch. "This is all I could find without interrupting Don."

Raph nodded. Not even he wanted to brave the rocky shore that was their brainy brother right now.

"Fine. But I've never had to work on anything smaller than my bike or the van, so I know about as much as you do."

Mikey beamed at him. "So you'll help? I want to have it fixed by morning."

Raph smiled at him. "Yeah. Let's get started."

Mikey dumped the bag out onto the floor, sending the tools everywhere as they clattered noisily across the floor.

"What was that for!?" It was getting hard to whisper at this level of anger.

Mikey threw his hands up. "I'm sorry! I don't know! I thought we were having a moment!"

"A moment doesn't mean you drop stuff on the floor!"

"It looked like the beginning of a montage of fixing this thing as well as some bonding moments! I don't know what I was thinking..."

Raph rubbed his brow. This was gonna be a long night.

...

Raph was in charge of the bag of tools while Mikey worked on opening the console. A bad idea, really, but Mikey felt it was his responsibility.

He knew he shouldn't have been surprised about which 'tools' Mikey had managed to recover outside of Don's lab, but this was ridiculous.

"Hey, pass me a little screwdriver."

"Which kind?"

"Uhhh... The one shaped like an 'X.'"

"You're in luck." It was just about the only useful tool they had. Besides the wrench and chisel. No, scratch that. Chisels are useless unless Mikey could suddenly transform into his namesake.

Mikey worked away on the Wii at the coffee table while Raph tried not to fall asleep on the couch. That task was getting more difficult with every passing minute. They'd given up on whispering after Mikey had dropped the contents of the bag on the floor. When no one had come looking for the noise, they suspected talking as usual was okay.

The end piece of the Wii snapped shut and Mikey screwed it in.

"Okay," He handed Raph the screwdriver. "That should do it."

Raph yawned and glanced at the time on the DVD player. It had taken just about two hours for Mikey to rearrange the technological soup that was the inside of the Wii, which meant it was now a few minutes past four a.m.

Leo would make them get up for practice in two hours.

"Bye." Raph left for the stairs, hoping to get a little more sleep before the butt crack of dawn showed up.

Mikey spent the rest of his morning putting the Wii away and stowing his bag of tools in the garage, right next to Don's famous tool bag. Mikey stepped back, and realized they looked nearly identical. He put both bags under a bench and out of the way. His conscience told him it was a bad idea. He shrugged and started for the kitchen.

Breakfast wasn't going to make itself, especially if Leo got his hands on the toaster before anyone else.

He'd tell Don about his twin tool kit later.

Leo wasn't sure what was different.

They'd had breakfast, done practice, generally hung out, and waited for Splinter to finish his soap operas Raph claimed to hate so much. Too bad for him, the lair was a small town and word spread fast about how Mikey saw him record Desperate Housewives months ago and hadn't let it go since.

Oh, right. The Wii was broken, which meant he would have to watch Netflix on his tiny phone.

The thought saddened him, but anything was better than nothing.

Just then, Mikey dropped in front of him on the couch.

"For your viewing pleasure, direct your attention to the TV!" Mikey pressed a button on the remote and Leo gasped when the Wii home menu showed up.

"But how? Don said-"

Mikey held up a hand. "I can fix things, too."

Leo blinked at him before his face broke out in a grin. "Thanks, Mike. It means a lot."

Mikey bowed theatrically, grabbed a comic book, and jumped on the couch just as Leo picked his favorite show.

He smiled to himself. Today was going to be a good day.

Raph stormed out of the dojo and slammed his door.

Mikey raised an eye-ridge. Okay, less of a good day.

Master Splinter walked calmly out of the dojo. Leo paused the TV and looked up at him. "What is it now?"

Splinter sighed. "It must be the close quarters. I do not want any of you going out, not when a blizzard is on the way."

Leo nodded and Mikey deflated next to him. If Raph had to stay indoors, it was going to be rough for all of them.

"However," Splinter started, a gleam in his eye. "The farmhouse is open. Mr. Jones has said it would be alright to use it for the week."

Mikey whooped and ran for the lab, comic forgotten.

Leo turned back to his Sensei, biting his lip. "Can I bring the Wii?"

Splinter nodded. Grey's Anatomy wasn't his usual soap opera, but Netflix would do.

...

Donnie grabbed his computer and tool bag as soon as Mikey told him the news.

He didn't check to see what was inside.

...

"Hey, Leo. Wanna help me fix the tractor in the barn? Casey's been working on it for about a month now."

Leo put down his book. "Lead the way."

...

"Alright, got that pipe off. Mind handing me the small pin hammer?"

Leo dug around in the bag as Don held his hand out from underneath the tractor. "Ummm..."

Don sighed internally. "It looks like a small hammer."

Leo glanced nervously at the outstretched hand. "Uh, I don't... I'm not seeing it."

Don shook his head. "Okay, then how about a big hammer?"

Leo's eyes widened. "Um... Would... Would a wrench work?"

"No, I just need a hammer."

"How about a screwdriver?"

"Hammer."

"Maybe a chisel?"

"Hammer."

"... Bit of chap stick?"

Don slid himself out from under the tractor. "Honestly, Leo, I thought you were the sensible-" He stopped, eyes widening at the contents of his beloved tool bag.

Leo shifted. "... What?"

"Where are my babies."

Leo took a step back. "I don't..."

Don's head snapped back to the direction of the farmhouse. "Mikey."

"What?"

"MIKEY!"

...

Meanwhile, back at the farmhouse

"Mikey!"

Mikey sat straight up from his spot on the couch and he and Raph gave each other a look.

Raph opened his mouth. "Was that... Donnie? What did you do?"

"I don't know! I'm thinking!" He gasped. "The bag."

"The what?"

"The bag, the-the tool bag! MY tool bag!"

They both exploded into motion.

"What do I do? What do I do!"

"I don't know Mike, calm down-"

"Just think if you were in my situation! I had a rubber duck in there!"

"Okay, okay. I have a plan. You hide in the attic, I'll throw myself down the stairs to create a distraction. Leo's a snitch, so don't try to call him. Go!"

The door burst open just as Raph fell over the staircase.

"Don! Thank goodness gracious you're here! I think I broke my... uh... sternum?"

"Where's Mike."

"Basement."

Don headed straight for the attic.

Leo squatted next to Raph. "That never works out for you guys. Besides, you used sternum last time."

Raph groaned and let his head fall to the floor as high-pitched screaming and hollering came from upstairs.
