Battle at the Marine Base and the Mysterious Thief

Shell Town

At the Marine Base, the Marines aiming their guns at Coby, Zoro, and Ventus, ready to fire at them and waiting for Captain Morgan's orders, leaving both Ventus and Zoro gritted their teeth with anger and shock while Coby was in teary eyes with scared expression.

"Take aim and fire!" Captain Morgan ordered his men.

The Marines began to shoot them while Zoro and Ventus were gasping, about to get executed. Until, Luffy landed on the ground with a smile on his face as blocked the Marines gunfire when the bullets stretch his body, leaving Zoro and Ventus looked at him with shock.

"Luffy, No!?" Coby shouts with teary eyes.

"Straw Hat!" Captain Morgan exclaimed with anger while the Marines looked at Luffy with shocked which they didn't see him bleed or die.

Luffy began to smile as the bullets began to bounce back at the Marines, leaving the bullets lead astray while missed Captain Morgan. The Marines, Zoro, and Ventus looked at him with shock while Luffy was laughing it off since he wasn't even dead from gunshots.

"That won't work on me! I told you I was strong!" Luffy exclaimed.

"Wha...You wanna tell me just who you are?" Zoro questions, earned his attention.

"I'm Monkey D. Luffy and I'm gonna be King of the Pirates." Luffy introduced himself with his usual smile.

"You're gonna be King of the Pirates?" Zoro asked with disbelief. "Right, you must be completely out of your rubbery mind. Do you have any idea what that means?"

"King of the Pirates means King of the Pirates." Luffy simply answered. "How could that mean any other than that?"

Ventus sighed with annoyance which he knows that Luffy has no idea what that means while the Marines stared at him with disbelief which they think that Luffy must be too stupid to find One Piece since they didn't believe that anyone would ever find it.

"Yeah, when he first told me it was shocking, but he's completely serious." Coby told him with a smile. 'That's how he is I suppose cuz' he seems to have every intention of becoming King of the Pirates. And obtaining the world's ultimate treasure, the One Piece."

That got Luffy laughing which neither of the two would find that amusing as the rubber pirate extended three swords to Zoro.

"Here's what I promised you." Luffy said. "There's three, I couldn't tell which is yours. So I just took all of them."

With that, Zoro took all three swords and placed them on his haramaki which he was free thanks to Ventus slashing the ropes.

"All of them belong to me." Zoro told him seriously. "I use Santoryu the three-sword style."

Ventus couldn't help but respect him of his fighting style which he noticed that Zoro have been trained with swordsmanship for all of his life as Zoro turned to him.

"So what's your story kid?" Zoro asked. "You're not planning to have a dream like his."

"No, my goal is different." Ventus shook his head. "I'll tell you when we get out of the Marine Base."

Zoro gave him a nod with an understanding as Luffy spoke.

"Just so you guys know, if you fight with me now you'll be the governments defying villains." Luffy explains. "So, it's either that or you're left out and get killed by the Marines execution style?"

"What are you, the son of the Devil?" Zoro rhetorically ask with a smirk. "It doesn't matter, cuz' if I don't chose your side, I'll just end up dead. So let's do it."

"What about you, Ventus? Are you going to join my crew?" Luffy asked when he turned his head to him. "I was impressed when you swat the Marines with your spear and you have that weirdo run for the heels."

That got Zoro shocked when Luffy told Ventus about his actions which he was impressed.

"First, it's not a spear, it's a lance." Ventus corrects him. "Second, I only did that since Helmeppo provoked me which none of it matters anymore. I lived as an outcast for a long time, so I'll join you."

Luffy couldn't help but being happy as he shouts with a cheer.

"So you two are finally joining my crew!" Luffy exclaimed with a huge grin. "This is the best thing ever!"

When Luffy was about to celebrate which it wasn't the time, Ventus walked past him.

"I won't celebrate if I were you." Ventus warned him with serious expression. "Because we have other priorities to worry about."

That got Luffy's attention which he was right when the Marines have witness his unusual power with shock.

"What the? What is he?"

"Bullets just bounce right off him."

"Straw Hat's no ordinary human like the rest of us, he must've eaten one of the Devil Fruits that we've heard all those rumors about." Captain Morgan explains, leaving the Marines shocked.

"Devil Fruit?"

"The hidden treasure of the sea."

"The Devil Fruits, those who eat them were said to gain extraordinary otherworldly abilities." Captain Morgan explains. "The power to breathe fire, the power to cause tsunami's. Rumors persists that they're many types of these fruits, but next to nothing is known about them. It is said that the secrets to them lies somewhere in the Grand Line. And there's no question about it, this Straw Hat is just showed us his Devil power."

Ventus was shocked of hearing the information from Captain Morgan about the Devil Fruit powers which it could give anyone powers which Luffy have showed that he can bounce those bullets right back at them without a single drop of blood like rubber.

"It doesn't matter what abilities they have, all who oppose me are executed." Captain Morgan said with malice anger as he rise his axe. "If guns won't work, WE CHOP!"

With that, the Marines charge after them with their swords, but Ventus readied his lance as he leap up in the air, leaving the Marines look up as Ventus began to nose-dive at the Marines.

"Crashing Dive" Ventus dive down after the Marines with his lance pointed downwards as he stab the ground while slashing, spins the Marines, and stomp the ground with the enough force to sent the Marines flying, leaving the Marines shocked with their jaws-dropped while Coby looked at him with awe, but Zoro was impressed and Luffy just smiled with his jaws-dropped.

"THAT'S SO COOL!" Luffy exclaimed with a shout.

"So kid, would you mind tell me what you are?" Zoro asked.

"I'm Ventus Starwind." Ventus introduced himself. "I'm a Dragoon."

That got the Marines shocked about Ventus when they seen his attack first-hand since he leap up in the air and nose-dive them at the ground.

"Dragoons, they're the warriors that are well-known for the any of the two-handed weapons: lance, spear, trident, and halberd." Captain Morgan explains. "They were also deadly and versatile during the battlefield and in combat with there aerial style of combat. It doesn't matter since this brat opposed me, KILL THEM AND THE BRAT!"

With that, the Marines manage to recover from his attack and charge after Ventus as he gets into his fighting stance, readied his lance.

"Sonic Thrust" Ventus then thrust his lance at the Marines, leaving them sent flying when they felt the force from his lance.

"I gotta say I'm impressed." Zoro said with a smirk. "But the kid better not think I won't let him have all the fun."

With that, Zoro unsheathe his first sword, placing it on his mouth while drew his two swords while giving Ventus a helping hand by charging after them, but the Marines began to charge after them.

"Kid, get out of the way!" Zoro warned him when Ventus noticed him as he jumped away from the Marines attack while Zoro blocked all of the Marines swords with his own.

"Roronoa Zoro!" Captain Morgan called his name with shock while Ventus landed on the ground next to Luffy.

"Wow, that's so cool!" Luffy said with a smile while Coby looked at him with awe, but the Marines looked at Zoro with scared looks in their eyes which they didn't know what they got themselves into since he's a renowned bounty hunter.

"Make one move and you die." Zoro warned him with a threat, leaving the Marines cried with tears and fright.

"He's scary."

"Today, I officially become a criminal having fought the Marines." Zoro said seriously. "So I'll become a pirate that I can promise you, but I want you to know one thing. What I want was the only thing I dedicated myself to is fulfilling my ambition."

"Which is?" Luffy asked.

"To be nothing less than the 'Worlds Greatest Swordsman.'" Zoro answered. "If somewhere along the way I have to give that up, then I want you to accept responsibility. After which, you have to get to apologize to me."

"The 'Worlds Greatest Swordsman'." Luffy repeats with a grin. "Sounds pretty good. The King of the Pirates wouldn't have any less than the best on his crew."

"Big talker." Zoro told him with a smirk. "For this point on, no matter if I'm a criminal or not. I will spread the name of 'Zoro' throughout the world."

"WHAT ARE STANDING THERE FROZEN FOR!?" Captain Morgan yelled at them. "I WANT YOU TO KILL ALL FOUR OF THEM RIGHT NOW!?"

That got the Marines trembled with fear which they don't want to get killed from Zoro or disobey orders from Captain Morgan.

"You might want to duck." Luffy warned him with a smile as he raise his foot backwards, leaving Zoro shock which Luffy was about to attack. "Gum-Gum: Whip"

Luffy then stretch his leg to sweep off the Marines while Zoro ducks out of the way, leaving them flying towards the ground and Captain Morgan shocked while his leg was back in its place during the stretch.

"Yes, you knocked them all down!" Coby exclaimed with a cheer and a smile while Zoro stands back up.

"Mind tell me what you are?" Zoro questions.

"I'm just a guy who ate the Gum-Gum Fruit." Luffy answered with a smile.

"What's a Gum-Gum Fruit?" Zoro asked confusingly.

"A rubber person?"

"It looks like he does have the Devil Fruit powers." Captain Morgan said seriously, earned his attention from the Marines.

"Captain, we don't stand a chance against them."

"Yeah, just look at them, they're insane."

"We couldn't take on Zoro by himself."

"Yeah and that kid even took down men with his own lance."

Luffy, Zoro, and Ventus looked at the Marines since they didn't stand a chance against the those three. However, Captain Morgan was about to snap as he looked at his men with pure anger.

"This is the direct order, every Marine just spouted weakness pull out your gun out and shoot yourself." Captain Morgan ordered as he raise his axe. "I can't do anything with weak soldiers!?"

That got the Marines shocked of their Captains orders which they didn't like that order, but some of the Marines grunts with anger since they were about had enough of his orders.

"What babies." Zoro said, readied his swords. "This'll be easy."

"I agree." Ventus agrees, readied his lance. "This fight was a bit of disappointment."

When both Zoro and Ventus were about to charge after the Marines, Luffy went of ahead to go after Captain Morgan.

"Luffy, bring those Marines crumbling to their knees!" Coby yelled at him while Luffy rush pass through the Marines.

Captain Morgan saw Luffy as he began to punch him, but he blocked that punch with his axe while Zoro got his sword out of his mouth and Ventus lowered his spear when they watch Luffy fight against Captain Morgan.

"Rankless low-life bums!?" Captain Morgan insults as he took his coat off. "You have no right to defy my superiority, I am the Marine Captain 'Axe-Hand' Morgan."

"And I'm Luffy." Luffy introduced himself with serious expression. "Nice to meet to you."

The battle between Captain Morgan and Luffy starts as he use his axe to swift chop him, but Luffy leaps over him while Captain Morgan turns around used his axe to chop. However, Luffy manage to dodge since Captain Morgan chop the ground, leaving the huge fissure on the ground while Coby saw that attack with shock and horror.

Luffy then used his feet to hit Captain Morgan in the face, sent him to the ground.

"Look, he's been hit."

"You runt!" Captain Morgan taunts while standing up as Luffy charge after him, raising his axe upward. "NOW DIE!"

When Captain Morgan was about to chop Luffy, he manage to dodge while Captain Morgan shop the ground.

"I don't think so!" Luffy exclaimed with a smile as he kicks him in the face, leaving the Marines shocked when they saw Luffy was beating Captain Morgan.

"The Captain's getting pummeled out there."

"It's embarrassing."

"Call yourself a Marine, but you destroyed my friend Coby's dream." Luffy said with anger when he grabbed his collar while punches him repeatedly.

"Straw Hat Stop Right There!?" Helmeppo shouts his name, pointed the gun at Coby which his legs was shaking. "Look At What I Got!?"

But Luffy ignores him as he repeatedly punches Captain Morgan.

"Are You Stupid Or Something!?" Helmeppo questions. "I Said Stop, If You Would Pay Attention To Me, I Have A Hostage Here You Might Wanna Look At!?"

That got the Marines looking at Helmeppo with questioned look which they know that it wasn't a smart move.

"Helmeppo's crazy."

"Hey." Zoro calls him seriously, earned his attention.

"If you value your squatty little friends life, you won't move a muscle." Helmeppo ordered them which he's scared. "I'm serious, one move and I'll shoot. I swear."

That got Coby scared for his life which Helmeppo was about to shoot him if anyone moves, but Ventus was looking at him with anger while Luffy looks at Coby without care. Coby was scared, but Luffy smiled at him, chuckled. Coby was starting to understand what Luffy have told him as he spoke while Ventus began to leap in the air.

"Luffy listen, don't let anything that happens to me stop you no matter what!?" Coby shouts seriously. "Even if I die!"

"Of course, you got it." Luffy said with a big grin. "But you might want to look up, cuz' he's already made his move."

Helmeppo was confused as he look up, seeing Ventus nose-dive at him, leaving him screaming with fright.

"Spiral Blow" Ventus dive down after Helmeppo and send him hurling with his lance combo, leaving him landed on the wall with the hard impact.

"Nice move, kid." Zoro praised him with a smirk while Luffy gets off of Captain Morgan with a smile.

However, Captain Morgan stood back up as he raise his axe to kill Luffy.

"Time's up!" Captain Morgan told him, about to attack. "For I am fearless Marine Captain 'Axe-Hand' Morgan."

Zoro puts his sword on his mouth, drew out his swords as he attacks him swiftly.

"Nice one." Luffy compliments while Captain Morgan collapsed down to the ground. "Thank you."

"Just doing my job, Captain." Zoro told his Captain, leaving Luffy smiled.

"Thanks Ventus." Coby thanked him with a smile, getting a nod from him.

The Marines was shocked to see that their Captain was defeated by Monkey D. Luffy and Ventus have saved Coby from Helmeppo. Zoro sheathed his sword while Ventus approaches the two.

"Captain Morgan's been beaten."

"Unbelievable, those guys are unreal."

"If there's anyone else who wants to step forward to fight us, then do it now." Zoro told the Marines.

The Marines look at each other for few seconds until, they threw hats, swords, and guns up in the air and cheer for their freedom thanks to Luffy, Zoro, and Ventus which they are happy for Captain Morgan's defeat and reign has ended as the Marines dance happily.

"We're free!"

"Finally, Morgan's reign is over!"

"Such a glorious day!"

"That's weird." Luffy said with confusion. "Looks like they're all happy that their Captain was beaten."

"They must've been afraid of him for a long time before we showed up" Coby explains with a smile.

Until Zoro grunts as he collapses down the ground, much to Coby, Luffy, and Ventus' shock when they saw him.

"Zoro, are you okay? What's wrong?" Coby asked with panic.

"I'm just...hungry." Zoro said groggily which he hasn't eaten anything for weeks since he's in the crucifixion yard.

Meanwhile inside of the Marine Base, the red-haired girl have tied the Marines up while gagged them.

"Sorry, you two." She apologized with a smile. "You just have to suck it up for a while."

The Marines glared at her with blood-shot eyes, trying to get out of those binds as she heads inside of the Marines office. She then began scavenging to find something valuable which she had a hard time as she look at the desk.

"I can't find this sucker anywhere." She said as she looked around from right to left as she saw a safe next to those barrels.

The red-haired girl then move those barrels away as she noticed a safe with a smile. She then opens the safe-door when she saw a paper inside.

"That's it!" She exclaimed with a smile. "A mere time-chart of the Grand Line. I knew they were hiding it."

She then took the paper as she looked at it which it's not a map to the Grand Line, but some kind a skull that has a red nose and a note.

"That's isn't the map. What mark is that?" She ask herself, realized what that mark is. "So, it's Buggy, also known as the seas as 'Buggy the Immortal'."

She then crumpled the paper as she looked at window which she has to find a treasure at the next island.

Meanwhile in Shells Town, Luffy, Coby, Zoro, and Ventus have made their way towards the restaurant which both Zoro and Luffy were really hungry. The people have heard about Morgan's defeat from them which they were surprised, but happy that Morgan's reign was finally over as they looked at the window, seeing that Luffy and Zoro was eating.

"Phew! I am stuffed." Zoro said with a grin, satisfied with his hunger. "Haven't that eaten in three weeks, I was ready to nob through my bootstraps."

That got Rika, her mother, and Coby laugh at his remark while Ventus couldn't help but chuckle a bit.

"I can't believe you're finished, lightweight." Luffy said with his mouth full.

"How the hell can you have a bigger appetite than a guy who hasn't eaten in weeks?" Zoro questions, pointing the pile of plates.

"It just taste too good I guess." Luffy simply answers.

"Or maybe you have been a glutton due to you Devil Fruit ability and been scrawny since your stomach is like a bottomless pit." Ventus said as he turned to her. "Thank for making this for us."

"My pleasure." She said with a smile. "After all, you guys did save the town."

"You're the most amazing man I've ever met." Rika compliments with a smile.

"Yeah I am, I know." Luffy said with a smile. "I'll be more amazing when I'm King of the Pirates and I have the One Piece. Oh and the best crew on the seas."

"So, how others have you gathered for your crew besides me?" Zoro questions with a smirk. "You told me that you're in the middle of the gathering together of the crew for your ship. And you're gonna be King of the Pirates, I gotta assume you already have some waiting in the wings."

"Nope, just you and Ventus." Luffy answered, leaving Zoro shocked.

"Just?" Zoro questions as he wave his finger at Luffy, Ventus, and himself.

"He's telling the truth, Zoro." Ventus cuts in. "He and Coby just arrived in Shells Town few hours ago when I arrived."

"So you, the kid, and I are what amounts to an entire pirate crew?" Zoro asks.

"What's wrong with that? We're a couple of strong guys." Luffy shrugs, leaving Ventus sighed with annoyance.

"Kay, but please tell me you have a ship?" Zoro asks, leaned forward at the table.

"Sure do, it's right there." Luffy said, points the ship outside which it was two dingy's on the docks as Zoro looked at the window, much to his dismay.

"You're kidding?" Zoro questions with deadpan expression.

"Nope, but we'll have an enormous one before long, just you wait and see." Luffy answered with a huge smile, leaving Zoro laugh.

"And how's that?" Zoro questions with disbelief and a smile.

"With a great big pirate flag on top." Luffy answered while eating, imagining himself on the ship, laughing. "I can't wait."

"I think Luffy was born without that part of the brain that allows the rest of us to plan out of what we have to do." Coby explains.

"So in other words, he was born of stupidity." Ventus said with annoyance, rubbing his temple. "I can't believe I got myself into this by having this fool as Captain."

"You and me both, kid." Zoro agrees, rubbing his temple. "I can't believe I let myself get suckered into having him as my Captain."

"Hey, we'll have a ton more crew members in no time." Luffy shrugs it off like it was nothing.

"Luffy." Rika called him, earned his attention. "Where are you and your crew planning on traveling when you leave here?"

"You mean it's not obvious?" Luffy rhetorically asked. "We're heading straight for the Grand Line."

That got Coby spit his drink out while his nose was running with juice.

"No! Have you completely lost your mind? You have three crew members, there's no way you're going to head to the Grand Line, Luffy!" Coby told him with panic.

"I've heard about it, but I never knew it was such an awful place." Rika said.

"It's worse than you think!?" Coby exclaimed as he began to explain. "You know that this world has two oceans, I'm sure. There's an enormous land mass that cuts across both of them, this is called the Red Line. Legend tells of a town that sets dead center on the Red Line. The Grand Line is set to cut through this town at a right angle and stretch all the way around the rest of the world. The story goes on to say that Gol D. Roger, the King of the Pirates, had once obtained everything this world had to offer. Before he died, he said that 'He left the Great One Piece treasure at this location', ever since, pirates have set sailed for the Grand Line, today the place is nothing but a battlefield and some even called the Pirate Graveyard."

"I've heard stories about it from people passing through, the customers say that 'no one who has ever entered the Grand Line and comes out of that place alive'." The woman told him.

"Which pirates have rushed in to die like fools without realizing that heading towards the Grand Line and finding One Piece was a death wish." Ventus adds bluntly.

"Which it's really too bad, cuz' that's where the One Piece is said to be and that's exactly we're going." Luffy said with grin.

"I guess we have to live with it." Zoro said with a smirk.

"No! You can't agree!" Coby told him with worry.

"What do you care? You're not going with us are you?" Zoro asks.

"No, but I still worry." Coby answered. "Is it so wrong to care about the three of you? Luffy and I haven't known each other for years or anything, but I still consider him as a friend. Wouldn't you say?"

"Of course, we may have to part ways, but we'll always be friends." Luffy answered with a smile, leaving Coby shocked but smiled.

"When I was just a little kid, I never had any friends." Coby told them. "Much less anyone who would bother fighting on my behalf. So I always tried my hardest never to fight for anything."

Luffy, Zoro, and Ventus looked at Coby with confusion as he spoke with a smile.

"But the three of you have taught me a lesson I could never learned on my own: How to live for what I believe in." Coby said. "So I've decided to make my childhood dream a reality and I'm gonna join the Marines."

"Then don't you think you should be a little more concerned with your situation?" Zoro asked seriously. "I mean you did spent two years I Alvida's pirate ship, even if you were nothing but a cabin boy."

Coby was shocked of Zoro's words which he's right as Ventus spoke.

"The Marines information gathering are top-notch." Ventus adds. "They'll find out about your time with that pirate Alvida, you'll never join the Marines."

"I...never thought of that." Coby said which both Zoro and Ventus were right about the Marines.

Suddenly, the Marines revealed themselves as he opens the door, walking towards them.

"Hey, you there." One of the Marines called them, earned their attention. "We heard that you fellas are actually pirates, is this rumor true?"

"Right, now I just added those two members of my crew." Luffy answered with a smile. "So pretty much the whole was just became official."

"We appreciate everything you did to save our town from that horrible tyrant who terrorized us for so long." The Marine said with appreciation. "However, now that we know that you're pirates, as Marines, we cannot sit idly by and watch you go about your business. Therefore, you and your crew will need to leave this town immediately. But out of respect for what you've done, we will report you to headquarters."

That got the people angry when those three have save the town from Morgan ever since he's been terrorizing this island before those three have arrived which they owe their lives to them. Luffy smiled as he spoke.

"Well, time to go." Luffy said as he got out of the chair. "Thanks for all the food."

"Hey wait a second, you're leaving already?" Rika questions.

"Yeah." Luffy nods as he leaves the restaurant, along with Zoro and Ventus, leaving Coby alone which he was shocked.

"Aren't you part of the crew member as well?" One of the Marines questions, leaving Coby yelped.

"Well...I...um..." Coby stuttered, tried to find the right words which he was struggling. Luffy was about leave but stopped.

"Hold it." The Marine called him. "Is he with you or what?"

"What I can tell you is what he's been busy doing at this point." Luffy answered when he turned his head, leaving Coby turned to him with panic.

'Luffy, you wouldn't!' Coby mentally thought.

"Yeah, there was this fantastically fat pirate lady, I think her name was Alvida." Luffy said with a smile, raising his arms.

"Luffy!" Coby called him. 'If they find out I ran with a pirate crew, I'll never joined the Marines.'

"She carried this huge iron-club and boy she was the nastiest woman I've ever seen." Luffy said as he walk towards him, poking his head. "For two years, this wimpy kid was her own cabin boy."

'Please stop, you can't do this! Luffy no!' Coby mentally pleads Luffy to stop since he was about to snap, but he's had enough as he punches Luffy, leaving them shocked. Zoro and Ventus however smirked, understands what Luffy was doing. Coby opened his eyes when he saw Luffy smiled.

"Now that was a dumb move." Luffy said as he retaliates, repeatedly punches Coby in the face.

"Get out of here now!" The Marine ordered with a shout. "We can't have you pirates trippin up this town anymore than you already have, you hear me?"

"Enough." Zoro told him, grabbed his red vest. "You made your point, now let him fall to the ground."

With that, Coby collapse down to the ground while panting heavily.

"It's obvious you're not crewmates, so stop badgering this poor kid and take leave of our town this instant." The Marine ordered them, leaving Luffy smiled while placing his straw hat on his head and leave the restaurant along with Zoro and Ventus.

'That was on purpose?' Coby mentally questions when he saw them left. 'Luffy did that just to help me out. He work me up and got me so bad that I hit him and look like I wasn't on his side. Even at the very end of our journey together, I wound up continuing relying on him, I couldn't do anything for myself. Nothings changed for me at all. I am such an idiot!'

When Coby got up, he spoke to the Marine.

"Sir!" Coby called him, earned his attention. "Please sir! Please you have to let me join the Marines! I'll clean and scrub and do any chores that you like me to. I'll do anything to become a Marine."

The Marine was looking at him seriously which he was doubting Coby to become a marine.

"Lieutenant." One of the Marine called his officer, earned his attention. "I can't say I fully trust this kid, I wouldn't be against the idea if there weren't clear cases of certain Marines actually being pirate spies. I say, we should conduct a background check first."

"No matter what you say, I am a man who will become a Marine." Coby told them with resolve, leaving the Marines surprised. However, the Lieutenant of the Marine wasn't surprised since he looked at Coby with serious expression as he walk towards him and spoke.

"I can't tell you how many of our comrades have bee killed by pirates over the years. This is a big step you're taking." The Lieutenant told him, leaving Coy shocked as he turned to him. "Permission to join: Granted."

Coby smiled since he got accepted by the Marine as he turned him, saluted him with respect.

Meanwhile, Luffy, Zoro, and Ventus were leaving the town since they made their way to the docks without any problems, but the red-haired thief was in the docks, readied the dingy as she looked the note that Buggy had left it behind which she was heading to the next island.

"That was a theatric you pulled back there, I wouldn't be surprised if they see right through it." Zoro said with impressed smirk, leaving Luffy chuckled a bit.

"Coby should be able to handle the rest of his own, I have faith in him." Luffy told him with a grin.

"A fitting end to leave the island." Ventus said. "We won't be able to return since everyone now hates us."

"Very pirate like." Zoro adds with a smirk.

Both Ventus and Luffy unload the ropes from the dingy's at the docks.

"Yeah, sure is." Luffy agrees with a smile, laughing.

"Luffy." Coby calls his name, earned their attention which they noticed he wasn't alone. "I can never thank you enough! You've done more for me than anyone has."

"I've never of a Marine thanking a pirate before, that's one for the history books." Zoro said, causing Luffy to laugh.

"Be that as it may, but he's not yet a Marine." Ventus shook his head. "He'll have to work hard if he wants to become a Marine."

Zoro nods with an agreement as they set the sails, leaving the island.

"We'll meet again, Coby. Some Day!" Luffy shouts at Coby with a smile, waving goodbye.

"Bye Luffy." Coby said, saluting him.

"Hope to see you again someday." Rika said with a smile, waving them goodbye.

Until, the Marines arrived at the docks to see Luffy, Zoro, and Ventus sailing at seas.

"All Hands, Salute!" The Lieutenant of the Marines ordered his men, saluting three pirates. Luffy told him goodbye as the Lieutenant looked at Coby. "That's a good friend you have there."

Coby turned his attention to the Lieutenant when he smiled at him, leaving Coby in tears for a second but smiled.

"Yeah." Coby nods.

"Men, seeing this our current salute as in violation of Marine Law, we will all without food for three days, do we all understand this?" The Lieutenant Marine questions his men since he told the Marine Law.

"Yes Sir!" The Marines answered to their Lieutenant.

'I know that we'll meet again someday, deep inside I feel it as much as I felt anything. Even if we are divided as Pirates and Marines, I still forward to that day.' Coby mentally thought with confidence smile, knows that he'll meet Luffy once more but they'll become as enemies. However, they're still friends as Luffy, Zoro, and Ventus set sail to the next island.
