It seemed like a typical day. In the morning he was greeted by Kuroo yelling at him to get up for school.

"OY, KENNA, WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!!!"

Like any other day, he commuted to school with Kuroo.

"Pause your game, this is our stop."

As usual his classmates didn't pay much attention to him, unless they were being polite.

"Thanks Kozume-san!" Hojo spoke cheerfully, when he gave him his homework.

Why was he thanking him when he was just turning in homework?

'Weirdo,' He thought. Truly, he couldn't understand that guy's way of thinking.

It was an ordinary day. Nothing was off of his day-to-day schedule.

...That is until-

He gazed at the clock on the wall.

'4:30,' Shoot, he was late.

Kenma was currently on his way to practice after just finishing up on his shift of cleaning duty.

"Hah," He could hear someone panting around the corner of the hallway.

"Kozume-kun!" His homeroom teacher, Saito sensei, widened at the sight of him, as if he was overjoyed.

The man was hunched over and breathing heavily.

Although he was already late to practice, Kenma had no choice but to stop in his tracks.

"Ko...Ko…" The man struggled with his words.

He must have ran around a far distance to be exhausted.

"Ko-" He held out his hand to stop him, the action seemed to perplex his teacher.

"You," His was voice soft as if unsure. "You should lace your hands and put them behind your head."

His teacher's eyebrows knitted at his words, making his gaze turn to the side.

"It helps with breathing." Kuroo had taught him that.

Saito Sensei quickly did the motions then took in a deep breath of air. "Ah, I see."

Kenma's gaze was unconsciously turning more to the side.

"No wait, Kozume-san!"

Ah, he didn't like the look on his teacher's face.

"I need your help with something."

Dang it, he knew it.

"Hah," Unconsciously he let out a sigh.

Hopefully it wasn't going to be anything troublesome.

"I need you to-"

"Oy, Kenma, you're late!" Kuroo yelled at the sight of him.

He could feel the annoying stares in the back of head from a certain group. He could also hear their sad of an attempt of whispers and sneers.

"I was late because of cleaning duty."

Kuroo's gaze hardened at something behind him.

Even Kuroo could notice their malicious intent.

"Kuroo," He tried to divert his attention.

His friend's eyes softened. "Yeah?"

"Actually, my homeroom teacher kind of asked me for a favor."

"What kind of favor?" He smirked in amusement, from the wrinkles forming at Kenma's forehead.

"He wants me to go over a classmate's house."

Kuroo's eyes widened. He could tell what his friend was thinking. 'Oho~'

"He wants me to hand over a couple of documents…..tu muh muh mur…" He mumbled the last bit.

"Hand over documents to, WHAT?!" He emphasized loudly, a chesire smirk appearing.

"To….to a classmate."

"What classmate?"

"Just a classmate." His eyes thoughtlessly darted to the right, and his shoulders tensed, causing him to hunch back a little.

"What's the name of the classmate~?"

"..." He couldn't tell him, for it would be obvious.

"Is it a G-I-R-L, guuurrrll~" His tongue rolled playfully in a teasing manner.

He didn't have to look at his friend to know that the idiot was wiggling his eyebrows at him while smiling widely stupidly.

"So what if it is?!" He seethed, his anger wasn't at Kuroo, but rather at himself, for being embarrassed for no good reason.

"Oya, Oya." Kuroo didn't flinch at all, at the glare Kenma sent him. His eyes darted to the clock on the wall.

"Practice is over in an hour." His voice returned to its usual tone. "You should just get going to her house before it gets late. I'll tell coach your situation and I can help you make up practice another time."

Kenma let out a breath of air that he didn't know he was holding in. "Thanks, Kuroo."

Kenma turned to head towards the exit.

Not even ten steps in, Kuroo yelled at him. "You know, you have to go there by yourself right?!"

Kenma understood what his friend was trying to say. Kuroo said he could leave early. That meant he'd have to go WITHOUT him, ALONE.

Kenma had poor social skills. Even more so with girls.

The favor from Saito Sensei truly was going to be troublesome. But…

"!"

'Oya, oya.' Kuroo's eyes weren't playing a trick on him, right?

Kenma held his head low with his eyebrows furrowed, this meant he was deep in his thoughts. However, it then appeared.

The corner of his lips upturned a little forming a small smile.

If he thought things positively, wasn't this his chance to get to know her?

Yes, Saito Sensei had requested him to deliver documents to Kagome Higurashi. The very person he kept thinking about as of late.

Before, he had no reason to talk with her but with this chance, he'd get to know her naturally.

Perhaps, it wasn't unpleasant at all.

Please read and review :)

Thanks to everyone who reviewed last time.

I also agree that we need more InuyashaXHaikyuu fanfics. Kenma is my favorite character in Haikyuu.
