This is the 11th chapter. Sorry about that, I'm a bit slow since I'm trying my best to finish the chapter of the other story, 'DxD: Warrior of l'Cie' which I'm finished with that chapter right now. Also, my laptop was broken only because my mom borrowed it for her assignment which she got frustrated for listening the audio and she busted the screen with my new headphones. I'm using the tablet, but only temporarily until i get a new one.

Clash with the Black Cat Pirates
Gecko Island
That night at the village, Kuro was walking his way towards the mansion since his plan to have the villagers killed along with Kaya by daybreak have set in motion and he'll accomplish his goal. He then look at the village one more time before making his way towards the mansion.
At th shore, Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Ventus, and Usopp began to come up with a strategy to fend off against Kuro's crew since they'll be coming here by daybreak as they began to walk up towards the slope while Usopp spoke.
"Okay. At daybreak, the pirates will landing at this shore to begin their attack." Usopp explains. "But the only way they'll be able to get to the village is to up this slope. The rest of the shore lines are sheer cliffs so they have to come through here. If we can fight them while they're funneling into that narrow pass, their numbers won't mean anything and the village will be safe."
"Alright, sounds pretty easy." Luffy said.
"Talking about it is, but the victory depends out strength." Usopp stated. "What is it you guys can do?"
"I cut." Zoro answered seriously.
"I stretch." Luffy added, raising his fist.
"I steal." Nami said.
"I leap and attack." Ventus said seriously.
"I hide." Usopp said with scared expression.
"WELL THIS TIME YOU BETTER FIGHT!?" Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Ventus shouts in unison, showing their white eyes and shark-like teeth while strangling Usopp.
"Just making it funny! Come on, calm down!" Usopp said with teary eyes, knowing that he won't run away this time.
Kuro have finally his way towards the mansion when he saw the other butler which it caught his attention as he then spoke.
"Ah Klahadore, welcome back." The butler said with smile, cleaning the chandelier.
"How is she?" Kuro questions.
"She's resting just now. She was just exhausted." The butler told as he then began to explain this situation to Kuro. He like the way that Usopp have told her about him being the pirate captain which he was right about it, causing him to scowl while loosening his tie a bit.
"I leave town for few hours to tend some errands and everything falls to pieces." Kuro growled, walking. "That Usopp certainly knows how to cause trouble, doesn't he?"
"Yes. And on top of everything else he's done toady, he claimed your were a pirate. I couldn't think of a more outrages lie." The butler said, laughing.
"Indeed." Kuro agrees with his evil chuckle while looking at the window, adjusting his glasses. What caught his eye was a present as he then slowly grabs it, looking at it. "What's this here?"
"Well that's a present of course from Miss Kaya to you, Klahadore." The butler told him. "It's been 3 years since you came into this mansion. And this gift is to say 'thank you' for your hardwork. It's a commemoration of sorts."
"How nice." Kuro compliments silently.
"The glasses you're wearing are always slipping and you to push them back up. So, the lady of the house custom ordered to prepare them for you, isn't she just the most thoughtful young woman you've ever met?" The butler said with a smile, crying with joy.
Kuro then began to unwrap his present while opening the glass case, revealing the new glasses.
"How appropriate." Kuro said with an evil smirk, chuckled while adjusting his glasses. "Tomorrow, well the day worth commemorating."
That got the butler as he then climb down the ladder while looking at Kuro since he kept staring the window, looking at the red moon.
"It's a crescent moon tonight." Kuro told him, leaving the butler even more confused. "It's all nights like these that I truly feel alive, my heart races, and my blood boils in my veins."
With that, Kuro then dropped the glass case while stomping them, causing the butler shriek with shock.
"Klahadore, what are you doing? Why would you do such a thing to Miss Kaya's present?" The butler questions.
"Oh, I'll be receiving the gift alright, but it won't be glasses." Kuro told him, turning his head to him with his wicked smile. "It'll be her entire estate."
That got the butler frightened, widened his eyes as he spoke.
"What are you saying?" The butler asks.
"I suppose there's no reason to carry on the act any longer." Kuro said as he then reveal his plan, walking towards him while adjusting his glasses. "In a few hours, the village will be mourning an unforeseen tragedy."
The butler took a few steps, but noticed that Kuro had his furred claws ready.
"Three long years, I've quietly waited for this." Kuro said with his killing intent.
The butler tried to warn Kaya, but it was too late. Kuro destroyed the chandelier while swiped him, causing the butler to cough a bit of his blood while collapsing down to the floor. Kuro then look at the crescent moon one last time before he head towards Kaya's room. He then opens the door, seeing that Kaya was sleeping as he then approaches her while adjusting his glasses. He was about to kill her, but if he kills her right now, the plan will go up in smoke and he won't have her fortune. With that, Kuro then silently leaves the room with his evil smile on his face.
Meanwhile, the Black Cat pirates got up since it was about daybreak as one of the pirate crew knock on the door to wake Django up.
"Captain Django! Captain Django, it's almost daybreak! It's time to get moving!"
With that, Django then opens the door, moonwalking while the Black Cat pirates greeted their Captain as he then stopped and spoke.
"You idiots! Only the sun can wake up and live to tell about it. Do I make myself clear?" Django questions seriously.
"He's in a really bad mood."
"Morning's are the worst."
"Just look, the moon is still up. So, the sun couldn't have woken me. Now which one of you did it?" Django questions his crew.
"Our apologies, sir! We're very sorry, sir!"
They apologize to their Captain, not wanting to get on his bad side as the hypnotist spoke.
"Well in that case." Django said as he then twirl his body for few seconds and then stopped, moonwalking backwards. "Good morning, gentlemen."
"Wait, what's going on here? He was mad just a second ago."
"So what? He's in a better mood now and that's all that matters. So, keep your big trap shut."
"It's confusing."
"Oh yeah? Well, your face is confusing."
One of the pirate crew then revealed his face while looking at him with confusion.
"Attention, men!" Django called them, earned their attention. "Let's set sail!"
The Black Cat pirates then began to roar with cheer, finally ready for the action as they then began to set sail towards the island.
Meanwhile at the shore, Usopp and the others then gather the barrels of oil from the village while carrying it towards the shore. Usopp asked Luffy to give him a helping hand as they pour oil all over the slope which it covered the area from cliff to cliff. Anyone would have a hard time trying to get up, but it'll be a matter of time before figure a way out.
"Yep, I'm a genius." Usopp congratulated himself proudly. "There's no way they'll be able to make it up this slope now. This oily put here should keep them occupied while we go to work on them. They're gonna be busy slipping and sliding around like a bunch of idiots and we show up and we beat the crap out of them."
"Wow, so that's your plan, huh?" Nami asks as she and Zoro then walk closely towards the oily ground.
"That's right, I'm going to defend the village no matter what it takes." Usopp answers.
"Let's just hope none of us slip on that oil and end up down there with them." Nami told him, placing her hands on her hips while looking at the oily ground. "Because that will like sliding into a meat grinder."
"Usopp, I gotta hand it to you, you're pretty good at fighting dirty." Luffy stated, looking up from where he was while sitting on the ground, tapping the oil with his sandal.
"Of course I am, there isn't anyone alive who can best me with a slingshot or beating me at the art of fighting dirty!" Usopp announced, crossing his hands. Ventus knew that he was lying, but decided to let it slide while Luffy, Zoro, and Nami looked at him with a smile. Zoro then noticed that the sun was about to rise.
"It's almost daybreak. They're coming." Zoro told them as the wind changed it's direction. Ventus then look at his necklace, causing Nami to tilt her head since she's unsure why he was looking at the necklace.
"Good luck charm?" Nami questions.
"No, it's a momento. This belongs to my mother." Ventus shook his head as they began to wait for the pirates to arrive at the shore.
The Black Cat pirates then land at the shore as they drop the anchor at the ocean.
"Alright, men! You know what to do! Go ashore! Trash the village! Head for the mansion!" Django ordered his men.
The Black Cat pirates accepted his order as one of the crew informed the hypnotist.
"Captain, there are already two boats here!"
"What!?" Django exclaimed.
It got their attention when they saw two boats at the shore as he spoke.
"Shall I investigate?"
"Leave them for later, they don't look like treasure ships to me and we've got a schedule to keep." Django told him.
"Understood, sir."
"What are you waiting for? It's time to move out!" Django ordered them.
The Black Cat pirates then roared with cheered, ready to invade the village.
While at the shore, they continued to wait for the pirates, but they're wasn't a single ship on sight upon the horizon and it was past daybreak the time that the pirates were suppose to arrive from what he had been told about the meeting between Kuro and Django.
"Where are they?" Luffy whines with displeasure as he stood up. "I thought we're gonna fight. The sun's up, what's the deal?"
"Maybe they overslept." Zoro guessed, leaving Ventus hold his snickering.
"No." Usopp said with his serious tone. "They're gonna show up alright, lots of them."
Ventus then let out his sigh, didn't want to snap because he was tired since he stayed up with them all night to form up a strategy to prevent pirates for invading the village and he was starting to get cranky, but it was getting harder not too. Until, the young Dragoon then sniff the air when he caught their scent, widened his eyes as he realized their mistake that they had no idea the pirates were landing on. He also heard the onslaught of battle cries that was coming from the other side.
"Hey kid, what's wrong?" Zoro questions.
"I've caught their scent and I think I heard them." Ventus told them.
Nami then began to listen carefully which she heard the onslaught of battle cries that was coming from the shorelines.
"He"s right, I can definitely hear them." Nami said.
"No...it can't be." Usopp said with his face paled.
"What can't be?" Zoro questions, causing Usopp to place his hands on his head with panic.
"There's a shore just like this to the North!?" Usopp exclaimed. "They went..."
"We're at the wrong shore!?" Luffy shouts with frustration. "That's not good!"
"Well, this is where they had secret meeting, so I just assumed, okay!?" Usopp retorts, causing Nami to sigh with annoyance.
"We need to hurry, before they make to the village! Where is it?" Luffy questions with panic.
"You have to head directly North from here. If you run, you can make it in 3 minutes." Usopp told him. "The terrain there is almost exactly the same. So, all we need to so is to stop them at the slope."
"Don't you worry, we're gonna stop them." Luffy assures.
"Oh no!" Nami screams with panic, showing her white eyes and shark-like teeth while placing her hands on her head. "If those filthy pirates at the North shore, then they already seeing out boats. They'll take our treasure!"
"I'll be there in 20 seconds." Luffy shouts as he then ran towards the shore.
"Oh man! My brilliant oil strategy was all for nothing!" Usopp shouts as he then also ran towards the shore.
"My precious treasure." Nami said silently.
"Hey." Zoro called her, causing her snap out of her thoughts. "What are you doing? Let's get out of here."
When Nami was about to head towards the shore, she felt her foot in the oil as she about to slip. She grabs hold of the scabbard which Zoro was pulled down with her.
"Help! I'm gonna fall!" Nami begs.
Ventus then let his instincts kicked in as he sprouts his wings on his back, flying towards the two while grabbing them. He then placed then down to the ground safely and away from the oily ground.
"Thanks kid." Zoro thanked him.
"Yeah, thanks." Nami added.
Ventus gave them a nod as he then spoke.
"If we hurry, we might be able to catch up to them." Ventus told them. "I've still caught their scent since those pirates are still at the North shore."
"You think you can take us there?" Nami asks.
"Yes, we can still make it there since they're not at the village." Ventus told them. "Also, Usopp won't be able to fight them alone and Luffy does tends to hog all the action and get careless."
That got Zoro and Nami sweat dropped since he's right about the two as the swordsman spoke.
"Lead the way." Zoro told him seriously.
With that, Ventus then fly towards the North shore while Zoro and Nami follows him, trying to catch up with Usopp and Luffy.
Usopp was rushing out of the forest and headed towards the North shore as fast as he can.
"I swear on my life, they'll never sat foot on my village." Usopp said with his serious tone. "That Luffy sure is a good runner. He's so far ahead, I can't even see him anymore."
Apparently, Luffy went towards the wrong direction since he lacks some sense of direction. Ventus kept flying towards the North shore while Zoro and Nami kept following him since they're out of the forest while running.
"Those mongrels are in big trouble if they so much as looking my treasure." Nami shouts with anger.
"Is that all what you think?" Zoro questions with a shout.
"Now is not the time to argue." Ventus shouts at the two. "We'll worry about the treasure later. Right now, we've got other priorities to worry about."
The two can't argue with him there as they then continue to head towards the shore.
The Black Cat pirates then began to charge their way towards the village with the onslaught of battle cries and killing intent. Until, Usopp then fires the iron pellet at the pirates, causing the number of pirates knocked out.
"It's an ambush! Somebody's out there!"
One of the pirates slide right next to Django when he was knocked out from Usopp's iron pellet as they look up at the slope when they saw him.
"We meet again." Django said when he sees Usopp panting heavily.
"I am the legendary Captain Usopp! I've been waiting for you! All my men and I are ready to fight to the death! Turn back now if you value your lives!" Usopp yelled which it's a lie, raising his fist. The Black Cat pirates then stared at him with deathly glare which they were ready to fight him.
'I wasn't suppose to be the first one here! He was running ahead of me! I can't handle these guys alone!' Usopp mentally thought with scared expression on his face.
Meanwhile, Luffy panted heavily when he found that he's in the village instead of the North shore which he went the wrong direction.
"The village...That can't be right...He said 'run North' and I ran into the colest direction...So, I should be at the shore..." Luffy said, panting heavily.
While at the North shore, Usopp was standing against the Black Cat pirates alone which he don't stand a chance against them and he's outnumbered.
"It's you! I remember, you're one of the troublesome brats who overheard our plan. What do you think you're doing?" Django questions.
"I'm warning you! Leave here while you still can!" Usopp yelled, coming up with another lie.. "If you don't, my 100 million crewman will massacre all of you!"
However, neither of the Black Cat pirates ever believe in Usopp's lie which they saw right through him.
"100 million?"
"Are we really suppose to believe that?"
However...
"No way! 100 million!? Incredible!?" Django said with amazement.
"Captain, he's obviously lying."
"Then it's time to call his bluff."
"They saw through it." Usopp said with shock.
"That guy seriously thought he can fool us."
"What's that!? You've been lying to us this whole time!?" Django exclaimed with a shout, glaring at Usopp.
"Captain Django! Take a look at this."
"Oh, is it bad?" Django questions, turned his head to him along with his crew.
"No sir, it's good. We search those other ships and found a huge load of treasure. It's hard to say how much, but I bet it's around 5 million berries."
"What!?" Django exclaimed with astonishment.
"5 million berries?" Usopp repeats with shock. "How in the world did those guys get a hold of so much treasure?"
Usopp was shocked that Luffy and his crew have manage to get a hold of so much together, well, mostly because Nami have been stealing treasures from those pirates as he then spoke.
"I see you found my loot." Usopp lied, earned their attention. "Well, you can have it."
"You're just gonna let us take your treasure?"
"Yeah, that's right." Usopp lied again as he then raise his hand with a grin, didn't know that the treasure was Nami's. "Just turn around and forget all about this place and the treasure is yours."
The Black Cat pirates just don't know what to think about Usopp. That either he was just being stupid or actually tried to stall them which doesn't matter as one of the pirate crew spoke.
"I didn't think people that stupid actually existed."
"At this point, he's just embarrassing himself."
Django have had enough as he then tip his hat and spoke.
"Okay, do you know what a pirate is?" Django asks impatiently. "Were going to take this treasure and there's nothing you can do about it. And there is no way we're turning back until we get what we came for."
That got Usopp shocked, realizing that lying won't help this time since Django and the Black Cat pirates weren't even buying his bluff as he then gulped and spoke.
"Well...yeah, that make sense." Usopp said.
Django then pull his pendulum and swinging it.
"Alright then, on the count of 1, 2, Django, you'll let us buy." Django told him as Usopp then look at the pendulum.
"It's that strange weapon from before." Usopp realized with shock.
"1, 2,-"
Nami, Zoro, and Ventus have finally made it towards the North as she then hit Usopp from behind with her bo-staff."
"Don't you ever try to give my treasure away!?" Nami yelled with anger, showing her white eyes and shark-like teeth.
Usopp was then sent flying and landed on the ground hard. Ventus then began to take flight towards the Black Cat pirates, readied his lance as his wings then disappears and taking a nose dive at them.
"Crashing Dive" Ventus then lunge downwards while slashing at those pirates while spinning and stomp them with sheer force.
"MY HEEEEEEAAAAADD!?" Usopp yelled with pain.
The Black Cat pirates mange to recover from that impact, but some of them were knocked out as one of them spoke.
"Hey, who is this crazy girl?"
"Damn it, that brat thinks he can get away with this?!"
"Captain! This isn't time to be hypnotizing yourself! We got a mission to carry out, remember?"
That got Django agaped with shock, realizing the mission as she spoke while Ventus then flies right back to his group.
"That treasure boat is mine and I'm not gonna let you lay a single berry, do you hear me!? In fact, you better clear out, cuz I'm coming down there to get it!" Nami yelled, pointing at them.
"She's just as bad as those dragons." Ventus muttered with annoyance.
"That Really Hurt!?" Usopp shouted, rubbing his head.
"Who said you can give them my treasure!? You got what you deserve!?" Nami retorts, causing Zoro to sigh.
"I didn't give them the treasure, I just said I would give it to them!" Usopp argues.
"That's the same thing and I just saved your life." Nami stated, earned his attention. "I guess I forgot to mention to you earlier, don't ever watch his ring routine. That weirdo is a hypnotist."
That got Django clicked his tongue, figured that his cover was blown.
"Hypnotist?" Usopp said with confusion.
"Where's Luffy?" Zoro questions seriously. "He should be here by now."
"I don't know." Usopp answered as he then stood up. "Either he got lost or he chickened out at the last minute?"
That got Nami sighed with annoyance while Ventus began to sniff the air.
"The only thing that can keep him from the fight is getting lost." Nami pointed out. "Right where we need him too."
"I'm afraid she's right." Ventus agrees. "He did get himself lost."
"I'll go ahead and take command here." Usopp said, taking a few steps back. "I think it's about time you kick their butts."
"What, me!? What about you!?" Nami shouts."I can't take on a butt-load of vicious pirates by myself! That's just suicide!"
"What, like I'm going to do the fighting?" Usopp argues with a smirk. "Beneath this calm exterior lies the adjact the terrors of a coward."
With that, Nami and Usopp then began to argue while the Black Cat pirates watches with annoyance. However, both Ventus and Zoro sighed with annoyance, knowing that this argument isn't gonna get anywhere as they then walk pass them. Zoro placed his bandana on his head, drew out his katanas while Ventus then readied his lance.
"We don't have time for this nonsense." Django said with annoyance. "Alright men, let's get to work! Crush them and move to the village!"
With that, the Black Cat pirates then charges after them as Zoro and Ventus readied their fighting stance. Nami and Usopp then stopped arguing when they saw the pirates are coming as Ventus then pulled his lance back.
"Sonic Thrust" Ventus then thrust his lance, leaving them sent flying when they felt the force from his lance as he spoke. "Now Zoro!"
Zoro then charged after the Black Cat pirates, slashing them one-by-one while Ventus then began to parry and counter their attacks. Usopp then ruffling his satchel, found those caltrops as he then extended them to Nami as the two then threw those caltrops. The Black Cat pirates were trying to fight against the swordsman and the dragoon, but they were proven a bit too much for them while some them stepped on those caltrops, causing them to scream with pain while Usopp then fires his lead pellet at one of the pirates, leaving one of them knocked out.
"Bastard!"
"Way to go, you're quite the warrior after all." Nami praised him, patting his back. "Looks like you got this handled, so I'll just take a break."
"But you haven't done anything yet!?" Usopp yelled with his eyes popping, leaving Nami gasp. "What is it?"
"There all caltrops behind us." Nami answered, pointed the caltrops behind them.
"Idiot!?" Usopp exclaimed with his eyes popping and shark-like teeth. "You drop those things behind us too!?"
One of the Black Cat pirates manage to get through as he was about to hit Usopp with his hammer, but Ventus got in front of him.
"Rising Drive" Ventus ascends while twirling his lance against the pirate and slam him up, causing him land on the ground with hard impact as he then look at Zoro since he may need some help. "Zoro, you have to get out of the way!"
That got Zoro's attention as he then realize what the young Dragoon was about to do, causing him to smirk while pushing those Black Cat pirates away while jumping out of the way.
"Dragonfire Dive" Ventus then nose-dive towards the Black Cat pirates with his lance was embedded with flames and stab the ground with his flames disrupted towards them, causing them to scream with pain when their bodies were burned.
Django and the Black Cat pirates were shocked of seeing that their crew were having a major 3rd degree burns. Nami and Usopp were shock of Ventus' abilities which she forgets that he has the ability of a Dragoon while Zoro then whistled with an impress smirk.
"Captain, what do we do? We don't stand a chance against those two!"
"Yeah, that kid have burned our crew and Zoro was the famous bounty hunter!"
Django was much helpless as they are, but they don't have the time as he about to say something to his crew. Until, they saw that the Black Cat pirates was sent flying towards the slope which some of them manage to get through and beaten Usopp and Nami. They noticed that Luffy was walking at the slope, panting heavily.
"What is this, Django?"
"Nobody told us that killers like those are gonna be here!"
"It's about time." Nami muttered seriously.
Luffy panted heavily since he was worn out from that running and getting himself lost which he's pissed as he spoke.
"Those pirates didn't put up a fight. I was hoping for a challenge." Luffy said as he then turned to Usopp. "Usopp you big bonehead! You never told me which direction was North."
The Black Cat pirates have manage to recover from that impact and the fire, but not many have recovered as Django spoke.
"Who are these guys?" Django questions.
Meanwhile at the mansion, Kuro was waiting for his crew to arrive at the village, but he was losing his patience since he failed to realize that they were busy from Luffy and his crew.
'They're late. I don't appreciate tardiness, not one bit. They know full well what happens to those who are foolish enough to upset my plans.' Kuro mentally thought, losing his patience as he then stood up. 'Did they think they can take their sweet time? Well if they have forgotten the consequences of disappointing me.'
"I'll kill them all." Kuro said with a scowl.
With that, Kuro carried the bag that was his furred claws on the inside and head towards the North shore. He'll find out the reason why they were late and kill his crew and kill those who have stand in his way and his plans. Little did he know, Onion have seen Kuro heading towards the North shore, trying to find out the reason why he was heading there so early in the morning.
