This is the 18th chapter. I've been doing some research of which of the songs that would suit this chapter. Apparently, I found some of the version that was from the ocarina and when I've listened 'To the Stars' that was played on the ocarina and a soundtrack of Dragonheart, I was amazed and it sounded beautiful. Look it up on 'To the Stars ocarina' which it was on Youtube, listen and see what you think.

Unwelcome Guests! Don Krieg Pirates!
Somewhere in the ocean, Baratie
One of the customer was in a rush to head towards the bathroom, but he overheard the talk about the monologue as he spoke.
"Customers service equals love and love equals restaurant. The customer is the king." The chef said, pluck his nose-hair out which cause him to wince as he then straighten his apron.
He is a large muscular man with a lot of hair on his arms and legs. He has a shaved head, large lips, and a short black beard. He wears a navy blue short-sleeved shirt with yellow buttons on both sides and light blue on the end of the sleeves. He has a knee-high shorts that are the same color as his shirt along with brown shoes. He also wears a white apron, pink ascot, an earring on his right ear, and a white rope tied around his head. He has two heart tattoos on his left arm.
"Pleasant greetings to the customer is what it's all about, the customer is always right and we stand by that." The chef said as he expression himself at the mirror. "Hello and welcome you damn crooks, but don't you ever come back. Awfully sorry about that, you're also pathetic I laugh."
He then laugh a few seconds, opens the door with a smile on his face.
"Ah yes indeed, today will be a great day for everyone." He said, turned to the customer. "Oh hello there and welcome you damn crook, that's our service motto around here no doubt about it. The customer all-Uh?"
When he arrived at the dining hall, he saw Sanji beaten Fullbody while grabbing his neck which the Marine have disrespect the sous chef and made a scene since he got humiliated by guessing the wine wrong, gotten angry at Sanji and paid the price for it by getting a major beaten by the sous chef.
"Oh no! Our customer!" The chef shouts, glaring at Sanji. "Dammit!? Not again Sanji! What do you think you're doing to customer? Can't you see he's a Marine Lieutenant?"
When the chef walk towards Sanji, he turned to his fellow chef which he didn't get along with him very much.
"You're a terrible cook. What makes you think that you talk to me like that?" Sanji retorts with a glare.
"A crappy cook like you is calling me bad?" The chef scoffed. "Restaurants can't exist without there customers. They're our lifeblood, so we don't want to hurt them the way you seem to keep doing."
"But he deserved it, he didn't treat the food or me with respect. And he insulted all the cooks." Sanji said, scowled at the Marine as he then dropped him down to the ground. "So I simply taught him a lesson."
Of course, the customers did saw the whole scene which they know that the Marine Lieutenant have started this fight and Sanji finished it. Nami, Zoro, Usopp, and Ventus have also since this fight which they pretty much overheard when they arrived at the sea restaurant.
"You're gonna regret this, all of you. No restaurant should treat it's customers like this." Fullbody groaned with pain. "I'll shut you down, do you understand me?! I will shout you down!? This entire place! This whole restaurant is finished! Do you hear me!?"
Sanji then starting to get really angry when his veins popped on his head.
"Then, maybe I just finish you off now." Sanji growled, leaving Fullbody frightened as he then walk towards him when he was about to beat him, but was restrained by his fellow chefs, telling him to stop. "Arrogant assholes like you who think that they're big shots, they push anybody around really piss me off!? You're not such a big shot now are ya!? Are Ya!?"
Fullbody have made a big mistake for trying to pick fight like the first time, but he was really on thin ice since he was planning to shutdown the sea restaurant.
Until, the ceiling then burst as both Luffy and Zeff came crashing down to the dining hall, leaving Usopp sighed since he figured that this negotiation have turned into a fight only because of Luffy's stupidity. The customers and the chefs were now looking at the two which they were obviously fighting.
"What happen?"
"Are they okay?"
"I can breathe again." Luffy said, gasp for air.
"Boss Zeff, what's happening here? You didn't hurt yourself did you?"
"Dammit! My ceiling! Another thing that's gonna have to get fixed because of you!" Zeff shouts, looking at the ceiling with a tick mark on his head when Luffy placed his straw hat on his head. "This Is All Your Fault Ya Brat!?"
"How is it my fault? You attacked me!?" Luffy retorts.
"Boss! Can you stop messing around and give us a hand! Sanji's gone crazy again!?"
The two then turned to the chefs trying to hold Sanji since he was about to beat Fullbody into a pulp.
"Hey Sanji! Don't tell me you went on another rampage here, you idiot!" Zeff shouts as he approaches them, earned his attention.
"Put a cork in it, old man!?" Sanji retorts with a snarl.
"Oh, now you ordering me around! Just who do you think you're talking too!? Do you want to sink my restaurant to the bottom of the sea? You punk!" Zeff refutes, kicking him with his peg leg.
Fullbody was glad that Sanji got what he deserve, but Zeff said otherwise.
"You too!? Get your ass out of my restaurant!?" Zeff yelled, kicking the Marine as he sent flying towards the ground.
Fullbody then groan with pain which he has no idea that the restaurant was filled chefs that can fight and those two were one of them.
'What kind of restaurant is this? That boss is like a gangster...It's almost as if...if this were a pirate ship.' Fullbody mentally thought, slowly getting up while watching the chefs argued.
"How could you deny our motto that the 'customer is king'?" The chef questions, glaring at Sanji.
"The only kingly customers are the ones who stomachs the slop that you called food." Sanji retorts with a glare.
"That's it! If you two wanna fight, you keep it in the kitchen, you understand me?" Zeff asks with a scowl.
'Are all these idiots really cooks?' Fullbody mentally questions while trying to stood up, but Ventus then sniff the air which he caught the scent.
"Hey kid, what's wrong?" Zoro questions seriously.
"I'm smelling a Marine. He's coming at our direction, but he seem weak for some reason." Ventus told him.
"Lieu-Lieutenant! Lieutenant Fullbody!"
Fullbody then turned to the Marine that came at the sea restaurant which he panted pretty heavily.
"We've...we've got trouble!"
"Wow, this restaurant is crazy." Luffy said with a shrug.
"Sir, he's escaped! Pirate Krieg's henchman attacked us and vanished!"
"He what!?" Fullbody exclaimed with shock.
"Well sir, we've already several of our men and only thing we wanted out of him was a lead on finding Krieg!"
"Impossible!? When we picked him up three days ago, he was right on a verge of starving to death and we haven't fed anything! Where'd he get the strength!?" Fullbody said with disbelief and frustration.
Both the customers and the chefs were shocked that the Krieg pirates were here, heard that they were the fiercest pirates from the East Blue. Ventus then sniff the air, caught the scent of one of the Krieg pirate as he then shock the Marine from behind, leaving the Marine collapse down to the ground dead and the customers panic. The chefs and the Straw Hat crew then look at the Krieg's crewman as he then walk towards the table.
He is a relatively lanky average-sized man with short scruffy hair and slight stubble. His eyes are surrounded by dark rings, possibly stemming from the terror and exhaustion he experienced during his time with the Krieg pirates. His clothes consist of an open gray-white jacket lined with twin red sea serpent designs, green undershirt, gray trousers, gray headband with blue stripes, and two round earrings on each ear.
"It would seem we have a new customer, sir." The chef told his boss.
"He'd do well to mind his manners and not start any trouble on my ship." Zeff said seriously.
"A pirate, huh?" Luffy said with a smile.
The Krieg's crewman walk past Fullbody which the Marine averted his eyes. The customers kept their distance away from him which they were scared. He then sat down, placing his shoe on the table as he spoke.
"I don't care what it is, just bring me something to eat." He demands, looking at them. "Come on, this is a restaurant."
"Hello and welcome you damn crook." The chef rudely greet with a smile, leaving the customers gasp.
"I'm just gonna say this one more time, bring me something to eat and make it quick." He demands with a growl.
"That cook is gonna get us killed." Fullbody said.
"Of course right away, but might I be so bold to inquire. How are you pay for your meal?" The chef inquired, scratching his head as the Krieg's crewman point the gun on his head.
"Will a bullet be enough?" He threatened.
"So you don't have any money then?" He said with a glare, double-axe handle him which it cause the chair broken, leaving them shocked and awed.
"That dumbass Patty broke another chair." Zeff growled with annoyance and a tick mark on his head.
Luffy was awe of Patty's strength while Sanji knew that fight was on which he'll be in trouble after this, not that he has room to talk.
"Sorry pirate, but our policy is to only serve paying customers." Patty told him.
The customers and the chefs were cheering for Patty when the pirates stomach growled, causing him to hold his stomach.
"Awww, I can hear your stomach grumbling from here, pirate." Patty taunts.
"That was a fart, jerk." He lied. "Now listen, get me something to eat now."
"We're not getting you anything, so beat it!?" Patty yelled at the pirate as he then began to give a pirate a beatdown.
Sanji then head towards the kitchen which Zeff knew where he was going. When he was in the kitchen, the sous chef then began to roll up his sleeves, getting a knife, dice up the food. Zeff look at Sanji with his disappointed look on his face which he knew that he's making a food for the pirate.
At the dining hall, the customers and the chefs were cheering Patty when he kicked the pirate in the stomach. Fullbody couldn't stand and watch this for long as he then crawl his way out of the sea restaurant since he doesn't want anything to do with this place again. When Patty finished beating the pirate, he then turned his customers as he spoke.
"And now you damn crooks, if you need anything just ask, okay?" Patty said with a smirk, curtsied as the customers and chefs cheered him with applause.
Patty then tossed the pirate outside of the sea restaurant when everything was settled down.
"And please, never come back." Patty said with a huff as he then went back inside of the restaurant.
"Dammit! If I wasn't so weak from hunger, I'd be inside eating." He cursed, tried to stood up but collapse. "And he'd be lying here."
Luffy was looking at him on the second floor, feeling sorry for him as he spoke.
"Hey, you're not hungry by any chance are you?" Luffy asks.
"No...I'm not...just leave me alone." The pirate said weakly, but his stomach growled which he was hungry.
Suddenly, Sanji opens the door while approaching the pirate, placing the food next to him as he then sit against the wooden rail while smoking.
"Eat up." Sanji said monotonously, blew a smoke from his mouth.
"Take it and leave me alone." The pirate demands when he look at the food. "I won't accept charity, it doesn't matter how down and out I may be, just take that stuff away now."
"Stop your whining and eat it already. I don't care what they say in there, to me, in anyone's hungry they're customer." Sanji told him.
"Sorry, but I'm not your customer." The pirate said weakly, leaving his stomach growling.
Sanji could hear the stomach growling which it annoys him and seeing how stubborn the pirate is as he then look at the sky and spoke.
"It's amazing how beautiful and cruel this ocean can be. Now it's almost a death sentence to lose your food and water out there, how difficult it is to survive. I know what it means to go hungry because of the sea more than anyone else." Sanji explains, leaving the pirate shocked. "You can die for your pride if you want, but listen, if you eat and survive, won't that give you the opportunity to fight for pride truly worth having now in the future?"
That got him realize that Sanji was right after hearing about what he told him that it wasn't wise for refusing food on the sea, causing him to grab the food and eat with teary eyes.
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry, thank you so much...I thought it was over, I truly thought I was going to die." He said, eating with a mouthful. "This food...it's delicious...I've never eaten food this good before."
With that, the Kreig's crewman then began to cry which it was his first to try a food that was delicious.
"Of course it is." Sanji agrees with a smile.
Luffy began to chuckle a bit since he overheard their conversation as he spoke.
"I think just found my cook." Luffy said with a big grin. "You're lucky he gave you some food. You're weren't looking so good there. I thought you were goner. So listen Mr. Cook, why don't you leave this boat join my crew?"
Sanji was than confused of his suggestion.
"I could use a cook like you on my pirate ship." Luffy told him, leaving Sanji and Krieg's crewman more confused.
Luffy then explain to them that he's a pirate and a captain of the Straw Hat crew.
"So, you're a pirate?" Sanji asks, earned a nod from him. "Is that why you went and did a crazy thing like shoot a cannonball into the restaurant?"
"That was an accident. It was self-defense turned into a stray shot." Luffy told him.
"A stray shot?" Sanji repeats with a chuckle. "In any case, you really don't wanna do anything stupid to this place. The owner use to be a cook in a famous pirate fleet."
"So the old man use to be a pirate?" Luffy asks with awe, looking at the sky.
"This restaurant is everything to that crazy old man, it's the only treasure he'll need for the rest of his life." Sanji explains. "He'll do anything to protect it, on top of which, all of the cooks who joined him out of respect and admiration are just as hot-headed as any pirate. Which helps since pirates are always coming and going out of this place."
"Yeah, notice that." Luffy nods. "This is a really wild restaurant, huh?"
"So true." Sanji agrees. "And this is how it is everyday, it's gotten so bad that customers are coming here just to watch between the cooks and the pirates. Everyday, it's been a new pirate ship and a new rampage. It wasn't long 'til the waiters got scared and bail."
"Ah, that make sense. So that's why the old man wanted me to work for him for a year." Luffy said, turned to him. "So, you joining my pirate crew or what?"
"I'm sorry, but I can't." Sanji declines. "There's a reason I have to work here at the restaurant and so I can't just walk away from it."
"No Way! I Don't Accept!" Luffy shouts, leaning down while hanging his head upside-down.
"What!? You don't accept!?" Sanji exclaimed.
"It's very simple, I refuse to accept your refusal." Luffy told him, crossing his arms. "You're a good cook and I need one. So, it's obvious that we should be pirates together."
"Listen to what I'm saying, I can't leave here alright?" Sanji told him seriously.
"What's your reason for staying?" Luffy questions.
"I don't have to tell you anything!" Sanji refused, leaving a tick mark on his head.
"What the!? But you said to listen to you!" Luffy exclaims.
"I told you my answer is 'No' and that's all you need to hear me! Now, take your pirate ship and find a cook someplace else before I cut you up, Straw Hat!" Sanji yelled with annoyance.
"You listen to me, jerk! No one makes fun of my straw hat unless they're ready for a beating!" Luffy retaliates, glaring at him.
"I'm sorry to interrupt." The Kreig's crewman apologize, earned their attention.
"WHAT IS IT!?" Luffy and Sanji yelled in unison.
"My name is Gin and I'm a crew member of Don Krieg's pirate fleet." Gin introduce himself. "And you say that you're a pirate yourself. What is it you seek?"
"Oh, the One Piece and pretty soon, I'm gonna sail the Grand Line and find it." Luffy answered with a confident smile on his face, leaving Gin shocked of his answer.
"Well you can't happen seeking it for long, if you don't even have a cook yet, your crew can't be all that big." Gin told him.
"Nope, he's only the sixth member." Luffy said, pointing at Sanji.
"I Told You I'm Not Going, So Don't Count Me!?" Sanji yelled, showing his white eyes.
"You seem like a nice kid, so let me give some friendly advice, okay?" Gin said. "The Grand Line is a place you want to avoid, you're still young, there's no need to rush into anything. Remember, the Grand Line one small part of this entire ocean. If you want to be a real pirate, there are plenty of other places out here on the seas to explore."
"I see." Luffy hummed in thought. "Well, why don't you just tell me what to avoid in the Grand Line now?"
"I can't." Gin refuse, place his hand on his forehead with fright expression. "I don't know anything, I don't understand it. And that is why I fear it."
"For being a crew member of Don Krieg's, you're pretty wimpy pirate." Sanji said.
"Who is Don Krieg?" Luffy asks with confusion.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, the chefs were busy cooking for the customers. Of course, one of the chef have finished cooking for the customer.
"The appetizer for Table 3 is ready."
"Well, you're gonna have to take it yourself. The last waiter is gone."
Apparently, Sanji was right about one thing about the chefs, they were a couple of hot-heads as one of the chef spoke to Patty.
"You think more that will be coming, Patty?"
"Who knows." Patty shrugs, slicing the fish.
"I heard the guy you beat up earlier in the restaurant was one of Don Krieg's men. I don't think that'll make the rest of them very happy."
"Ha, I don't care who's men he was." Patty told him.
"All I'm saying is the stories I've heard say Don Krieg is strongest, fiercest, the most evil pirate in this part of the ocean."
"He is." One of the chef agrees, earned his attention.
The chef is about average-sized man has an unshaved face and brown hair. He wore a chef attire and dark sunglasses.
"On these waters, his grip of fear reaches far and wide. He commands over 50 pirate captains, one of the largest pirate fleets ever seen." The chef explains seriously. "He is truly, a monster."
"He doesn't scare me." Patty told him, pouring the alochol on the pan which cause a flame to rise.
"I've heard that his extraordinary ships has more than 5000 pirates." The chef told him, chopping the vegetable with his knife. "This could be bad for Boss Zeff. If that guy you beat up and tells him what you did and sends just one ship, there won't be enough of us to fight them off, we'll crushed. Like a grape under an elephant and left us to sink to the bottom of the ocean."
"You're saying I should've just served him so we can experience our great customers service and meals for free? You don't think that would've been rude to the other damn crooks who pay money?" Patty questions seriously as he then drink the alcohol, finished drinking as he spoke. "I would never stoop that low, this is the Baratie, the fighting cooks have a reputation to uphold, don't we? I'd never ruined that, I don't care who that pirate Krieg's do, let them sent their ships I'll fight them all off. If you're scared, quit and let the real cooks work."
"Don't you dare say that to me, I'm tired of all the big talk you spit out which is why all the waiters jump ship!" The chef yelled with a glare.
That earned the chefs attention when they saw the two argue and they were about to throw down a fight.
"Everything that's happening now was all your fault, Patty!?" The chef yelled.
"Please, those waiters were worthless wimps the moment a customer showed up, worthless wimps!?" Patty retorts.
The chefs then began cheering between Patty and the chef named Carne which they were about to fight, but Zeff decide to ruin the fun as he spoke.
"Alright, what's all this?" Zeff questions, causing the chefs to stop. "Get back to work already!"
"Yes, Boss Zeff!"
With that, the chefs then head back to work in the kitchen.
While outside of the Baratie, Sanji have lend Gin a small boat for him since he'll be heading out as spoke.
"So long then." Gin said with a smile.
"Thanks for the warning, but I'm still gonna go to the Grand Line." Luffy said with a smile.
"I know." Gin said. "Do whatever you want, I'm just a stranger and I can't stop you from going anywhere you wanna go. I just wanted to give you a fair warning. And to you chef, thank you for everything. You save my life and I owe you for that, you're cooking skills are the best I've ever seen. I hope to back again sometime."
"I'll have a seat for you." Sanji said with a smile.
"Chore Boy! Get Up Here Right Now!" Zeff yelled, earned their attention. "You're hard to find."
Zeff then notice the empty dish and empty glass that Sanji have use for serving Gin some food which the sous chef is going to be in trouble.
"Hey Gin, go." Sanji told him.
"Sorry, you'll probably get yelled at or fired, 'cuz you give that food for free." Gin said with concern, placing his hand on his head.
"Whatever." Sanji shrugs as he then grab the plate, glass, and spoon, tossing them down to the ocean as he spoke. "Now there's no prove so there's no way for me to get yelled at."
Gin was shocked for what Sanji just did which he was doing this for those who needed help. He then began to set sail.
"Try not to get caught again, you hear?" Sanji told him.
"Thank you again, chef Sanji." Gin thanked him with sincere, bowing to him. "I will never forget your kindness."
With that, Gin then part ways to set sail to give the news to his captain.
"Sanji! Chore Boy! Get Back To Work Already!" Zeff yelled at the two.
With that, both Sanji and Luffy head back inside of the sea restaurant to get to work. Apparently, the chefs were still cooking for the customers while arguing since they needed the helping hand which one of the chef told them that the food for Table 3 is ready. Luffy went inside of the kitchen as he spoke.
"Hey guys, my name is Luffy and I'm gonna be the new Chore Boy around here." Luffy said with a big grin. "Nice to meet all of you."
The chefs were too busy working since they didn't notice him as he then sat on a chair, watching them work while picking his nose. One of the chefs then spoke.
"What happen to that dessert?"
"Which one of us was suppose to make that?"
"It was suppose to be him!?"
"I don't have time to make that, I'm too busy!"
"You're too busy being a jerk!"
"Say that again, I dare you!"
When the chefs were about to duke out each other, they then turn to Luffy with white eyes and shark-like teeth.
"DON'T JUST SIT THERE PICKING YOUR NOSE, GO WASH THE DISHES OR SOMETHING, RIGHT NOW!?"
With that, Luffy then do what the chefs have told as he then wash the dishes while looking at the chefs, not even paying attention of he was doing as Patty spoke while peeling the apple.
"Has anyone seen Sanji?" Patty questions.
"Think I've seen him hit on the customer."
"Again? I wish Boss Zeff would get rid of him." Patty said with annoyance. "It's bad enough he's the sous chef, but he's never in the kitchen doing his job."
"I think we're stuck with him."
"He's worked here longer than any of us."
"He was working the kitchen in the dining room even before I started."
"Yeah but even so, I just don't get it. Why does he stay here when he and Boss Zeff are always fighting?"
"I think he wants to be the head chef."
Luffy was watching the dishes, but his hands slipped as the plates then got broken one-by-one, causing the chefs and Patty to look at the noise of the broken which caused by the rubber captain.
"Chore boy! Just how many of these dishes have you gone and broken into tiny pieces?" Patty questions with furious expression.
"You know what? I forgot to count." Luffy said, accidentally drop the plate which it broke. "Aw man!"
"I wasn't being serious, you idiot!? Why are you breaking them!?" Patty shouts as one of the chefs give the broom to him.
"Stop screwing around and clean up your mess!"
"That I can do." Luffy said, taking the broom as he walked away, but stopped as he then ate the food, causing the chef to shout with white eyes and shark-like teeth.
"Stop! Don't take the food!? What's wrong with you!?"
"That was the perfect entrée!?"
"Yep, pretty tasty." Luffy said with a smile as he then touch the pan which it was scorching hot, causing his hand to burn red and yelled as he then run around the kitchen, wrecking the entire area when he broke the plates, causing the pots and pans to fall down the kitchen floor. The chefs have had enough of him as they yelled.
"GET OUT OF OUR KITCHEN!?"
Patty then grab hold of his face, dragged him out of the kitchen as he spoke with a glare.
"Why don't we have you take orders from the dining room?" Patty suggested, dragging him to the second floor. "Just ask the customers what they want to eat, is that simple enough?"
"Yes." Luffy nods with a groan.
Luffy then head downstairs to the dining room with a bored expression as he spoke.
"These chores sure are boring, wonder if Coby got tired of all this work too?" Luffy asks himself.
"Chore boy." Nami called him, earned his attention.
"What are you guys doing?" Luffy questions when he saw the pirate crew eating without him.
"We heard you have to work here for a whole year." Usopp said with a smile.
"Is that okay if we re-drew the flag for our ship?" Zoro joked with a question.
"You're eating all this delicious without me!? What kind of crew are you?" Luffy exclaims. "How could you do this to me!?"
"Well, you're too busy getting your butt handed to Zeff which I'm afraid that's our business." Ventus told him with a smirk, causing Zoro to laugh.
"Good one kid." Zoro said, laughing as Luffy then place the booger on the glass of water.
"Oh boy, this gonna be so good." Usopp muttered while he and Nami snickered, trying to hold their laugh.
"You know I have say, the food really here is quite delicious." Zoro said, grabbing the glass of water. "Good stuff. Yes it is. I feel bad for you but..."
With that, Zoro then shove the glass of water on Luffy's mouth.
"It's just you'd be drinking this yourself!?" Zoro exclaims, causing Nami and Usopp to burst with laughter while Ventus shook his head with a chuckle.
"I can't believe you did that!?" Luffy exclaims.
"Yeah, well I can't believe you did that!?" Zoro retorts.
Luffy then flail his body around, coughing the water which cause a lot attention from the customers and Sanji stopped pouring the wine as he then look at the Straw Hat crew.
"Aren't they quaint? I wonder if that's the rest of his crew?" Sanji questions with annoyance, but saw Nami with his eyes widened. "Finish pouring it yourself."
Sanji then approaches Nami with a rose on his hand as he spoke.
"Oh dear ocean, thank you for this treasure you have shared from your depths." Sanji said with a smile, earned her attention. "Ah yes my love, I can't bear this hardship of loving you from afar, it is too difficult. I am now prepared to sail 'til the ends of the earth as a pirate, even if it mean someone of your rare beauty will be by my side."
Sanji went goo-goo eyes on Nami which he was attracted to her, much to Zoro and Ventus' annoyance.
"To be together, sailing the seas. But how tragic a great obstacle blocks our way." Sanji said, posing himself.
"And that great obstacle would be me, right?" Zeff asks, leaning against the table. "Sanji!"
"Stupid geezer." Sanji muttered, snapped out of his lovestruck.
"This is an opportunity you don't want to pass up. Why not join them and become a pirate?" Zeff suggested seriously. "I have no need to keep you here in my restaurant."
Sanji then growled at the head chef with a scowl in his eyes.
"Hey listen pal, I'm the sous chef in this place." Sanji told his boss. "What do you mean you don't need me anymore?"
"You fight with customers all the time, you flirt with every woman under 80 who walk through here, you can't even cook a descent meal, you're worthless to me than the chow after brunch, that's what I mean." Zeff answered, causing Sanji to look up when he saw the chefs snickered at him which he was starting to get angry. "Oh and let's not forget about how the other cooks avoid you like you were poison. So just run off and be a pirate or whatever, but get out of this restaurant."
"That's how it is? You shoot at the mouth and expect that I'm just going to take it, old man?" Sanji growled, walking towards him. "I can blow off everything you said, but I won't listen to anyone trash my cooking!? I'm staying here as a sous chef and that's final! You hear me!?"
"What do you think you're doing? Grabbing your blouse for the collar." Zeff retorts, slapping Sanji's hand while tossing him. "You ingrate!?"
Usopp, Nami, and Zoro grab the food before Sanji crash down at the table.
"Damn geezer!" Sanji groaned, slid down to the floor while Zeff huffed. "Enough with the games. You can try and kick me out, but I'm here to stay. I'm not going anywhere, old man. Not until you're dead and gone!?"
"Dead? Ha! I got another 100 years of kicking your ass left in me." Zeff told him, leaving the dining room.
"He's always gotta have the last word." Sanji muttered.
"See, he said it's cool. Now you can become a pirate." Luffy said with a smile, placing his hand on his shoulder.
"SHUT UP!?" Sanji yelled with annoyance, showing his white eyes and shark-like teeth as he then place the table back in it's place as he then turn to Nami. "My apologies, I hope I can make it up to you with this delightful Fruit Macedonia, my princess."
"Wow, you're too kind." Nami compliments with a smile, turned to him. "It looks wonderful."
"Good." Sanji said with a smile.
"Hey, don't forget about us, Mr. Casanova!?" Usopp shouts with annoyance. "We better get some kind of an apology too!?"
"This tea should be more than adequate for you." Sanji told him, extends the green tea for him. "In fact, you should be thanking me."
"What!? You wanna fight!? You're gonna regret this!" Usopp shouts which he won't fight him as he then turn his head to Zoro. "Take him out, Zoro!"
"You take him out." Zoro refuse with a sweat drop.
"Stop it, please don't-"
"Here." Ventus interrupts with annoyance, tossing his money to Sanji, causing him to catch it. "Hopefully, this should be enough for the food and the damage."
With that, Ventus then walked away while grumbled, probably talking about Nami and Sanji as Zoro spoke.
"Hey kid, are you-"
"I just...need some alone time." Ventus told Zoro as he went outside of the Baratie.
"What's his deal?" Sanji questions.
"Kid was probably annoyed because of her." Zoro told him.
"What did I do?!" Nami exclaimed, being accused.
"You shouldn't be doing that in front of the kid, he was only 14." Zoro told her seriously.
"Wait hold on, he doesn't look like he's in his teens." Sanji said, raise his eyebrow. "And why are you keep calling him kid?"
"Because he is a kid." Zoro answered. "He may not look like it, but he's growing fast."
"Which basically, he's been having growth-spurt." Usopp added.
"More likely because of his dragon trait." Nami said.
"A dragon? Did he ate the Devil fruit?" Sanji asks with confusion.
"No, he's born with his dragon trait which he's a dragon, well, a half one at that." Zoro explains. "Also, he's our youngest member of the pirate crew, but don't let his age fool you, he's deadly with the lance."
"I see." Sanji said with an understanding as he look at the money. "This should be more than enough. It's only 20,000 berries, where did he get that amount of money?"
"He earned it from odd jobs." Nami told him. "Look, the reason why were here is because we need a cook that can teach him."
"Hmm...I'm gonna have a talk with him." Sanji said as he then head outside to find the young Dragoon.
When Sanji went outside of the sea restaurant, he notice Ventus leaning against the wooden rail, holding the ocarina.
"Hey." Sanji called him, earned his attention. "I heard you need a teacher. Was there a reason?"
"I was self-taught when it comes to navigating, cooking, and education. I've done this by reading books." Ventus told him, earned a nod from him as he then threw the cigarette into the ocean.
"You got a name?" Sanji inquired.
"It's Ventus Starwind." Ventus introduce himself, earned a nod from him.
"Was there a reason why you walk away like that?" Sanji asks.
"It's just...I couldn't stand Nami using her sex appeal...just to have her way." Ventus told him, averted his gaze with a blush.
Sanji couldn't help but chuckle a bit which Zoro was right about him, the young Dragoon is a kid despite his physical appearance.
"Let me tell you this, some women can use their sex appeal to appease men and just to get them happy." Sanji advised him. "I'm pretty sure Nami was doing that."
'More likely she was doing that just to have free food.' Ventus thought when he sweat drop, but decided not to tell him.
"Anyway, Nami was the most beautiful and elegant girl I've ever met." Sanji said with a smile.
"I bet you say that to all of women you've met." Ventus said with deadpan expression, causing the sous chef to face fault down to the floor which he was right on the mark.
"Okay, you got me." Sanji groaned. "But what can I do? I just can't help it."
Ventus then sighed, knew that Sanji would be a problem if he would join a pirate crew.
"So, is this that your ship?" Sanji questions while changing the subject, earned a nod from him. "It's pretty small to be a pirate ship."
"Sometimes we have to make due when it comes to adventuring out in the sea." Ventus told him.
"That's true." Sanji agrees, looking at the ocarina. "Have you ever played that?"
"I use to play it whenever I have time. My mother gave it to me when I was three." Ventus explains.
"Well, why don't you play it?" Sanji suggests, leaving him confused. "Hey whenever I feel down, I usually cook just to cheer up. I bet you'd play that ocarina just to cheer up."
Ventus knew that he was right which he usually play it when he felt happy or sad just to cheer up. It was one that Freya have taught him long ago. He brought a mouthpiece to his lips, take a deep breath, and began to play a melody.

The instrument produce a high, but very rich tune. The song was like water flowing peacefully through the heart of a lush forest. Sanji was watching him in awe as his fingers moved over the holes of ocarina with grace and precision. He swayed with the song and an ocean breeze made his hair sway, giving the majestic feel to his performance. It was like he was singing with nature between the wind and the ocean.
The customers stopped eating when they heard that beautiful song along with the Straw hat crew.
"Hey, who's playing that-"
"Shhh, listen." Nami shushed Luffy, placing her hand next to her ear. "Whoever plays that song, it's beautiful."
Zoro knew who was playing that song as he spoke.
"It's the kid. He's playing that song." Zoro said with a smile. "He's got talent."
"Wait, Ventus was playing that song?" Usopp asks curiously. "Let's go check and see."
With that, the Straw Hat crew then quietly head towards the doors at the sea restaurant. When they open the door just a crack, Zoro was right that Ventus was playing the ocarina which he was playing beautifully. Nami and Zoro were smiling while listening the song. Usopp was amazed of him playing the ocarina and Luffy was smiling which he was thinking that he found a musician.
The chefs stopped working in the kitchen, listening to that sound which it was coming from outside of the sea restaurant. Zeff then look down, seeing Ventus playing the ocarina while the wind swayed his hair which it give him a majestic look. The chefs then look down while the customers look through the window to see the young Dragoon play which they were amazed.

When the song was finished, Ventus lowered the ocarina from the lips. He paused only for a moment before putting the ocarina away.
"That was incredible." Sanji compliments.
"Thanks." Ventus thanked him.
Even though, that song give Ventus a sense of comfort. The simple act of playing it make him feel like his parents was nearby, listening to his song. If filled him with peace and tranquility, calming his mind. But at the same time, it also reminded him of how much he missed his parents ever since their death long ago.
"That was beautiful, Ventus." Nami said with a smile, earned their attention.
"Yeah, that song was amazing." Usopp added.
"I'll admit kid, you've got talent." Zoro said with a smirk.
"Hey Ventus, how about you-"
"Sanji! Chore Boy! Get Back To Work!" Zeff yelled.
With that, Sanji then drag Luffy inside of the Baratie to have him get to work.
Four days have passed at the sea restaurant, Luffy still hadn't made a deal with Zeff which he was still forced to work off the debt that last a year. He had been forced to clean, kitchen work, take orders, and variety of other tasks that would suit for the chore boy around the sea restaurant.
However, Luffy was trying to take on the chores, but he only cause a bigger mess than cleaning up: breaking the dishes, dirt was literally swept under the mat which the chefs notice it, food eaten before it ever served. In days that Luffy worked at the Baratie...the chefs were really having a hard time with him due to his carefree attitude and his stupidity along with most of the customers, but to the Straw Hat crew, except Ventus, it was quite hilarious.
The rest of the crew were biding their time, waiting for Luffy to made a deal with the head chef just so they can head out to the open sea. They were also here to have a cook on the pirate ship, not to give up the captain which the young Dragoon could see the irony in it. He try cooking something for them when Sanji showed up at the pirate ship, tried his food which he told him it's not too bad, but it could use some work and he might be able to help him out. Nami was able to try it, but she knew that he was trying, Zoro and Usopp felt the same way since the young Dragoon tried cooking. Ventus then tried fishing which he never done this before so it was his first attempt.
He was very bored and grown impatient. With the Going Merry docked at the sea restaurant as it was, the water was always restless with the coming and going ships, meaning the fish never came near the sea restaurant and never caught anything. He decided to give up on fishing when he could hear Nami laughing off the distance. When they heard that Luffy was making a mess to the point that he got into trouble by the chefs which they were pretty mad.
"We've been sitting around twiddling our thumbs for four days now." Usopp complains, leaning against the wooden rail. "How long do you think we're going to be there anyway?"
"Who knows." Zoro shrugs, lying against the wooden rail.
"He said, 'he'll stay a year'. But I'm already so bored." Usopp said.
"Well, at least it saves money since Ventus was cooking." Nami told them. "Even though, we came here to find a cook who can teach Ventus."
"Yeah, his cooking skills needed work." Zoro agrees. "But we know kid was trying."
Ventus have overheard their conversation which they were right that the young Dragoon was trying to cook which he needs a teacher who can teach him of how to cook.
But, they saw Luffy carrying a big bag of garbage which the chefs have told them to take out the trash as Usopp.
"Hey, Luffy!" Usopp called him, earned his attention. "What are we still doing here? Come on, let's just get out of this place."
"Just sit tight a little longer. I'm gonna try and make another deal with the owner." Luffy shouts.
"Ugh, well hurry up!?" Usopp shouts.
However, what stopped Luffy was when he turned towards the ocean, leaving Ventus sniff the air which he caught the scent of the other pirates, coming towards the Baratie. One of the customers were looking at the window when she saw the pirate ship that belongs to Don Krieg, causing her to drop the glass of wine with frightened expression on her face. Her husband was worried about his wife as he then look at the window, notice the pirate ship that belongs to Don Krieg, causing him to fright when the other customers saw Don Krieg's pirate ship that was three times the size, leaving them scared.
"It's them! They're here!? The hourglasses means our time is up!?"
"What are we gonna do now!? That flag means death!? There's no doubt! It belongs to the ruler of the East Blue, Don Krieg!"
With that, the customers began to scream with panic when they saw that giant ship. Of course, both Zeff and Sanji knew that this would happen because Gin must've inform his captain about the sea restaurant.
"But why!?"
"Why have the Krieg pirates come here?"
Of course, the customers weren't the only ones were frightened of Don Krieg and his crew, the chefs were also scared of him since Carne have told him about the ruler of the East Blue.
"I told you! I knew those goons would show up!?" Carne yelled at him, pointing at the Krieg pirates with a tick mark on his head. "Now are you gonna get rid of those guys or what!?"
"This can't be real, he's got a whole fleet to command!?" Patty exclaimed with fright. "Why would Don Krieg come here to get revenge for just one man? I mean, doesn't he have anything better to do!?"
"He's here alright!? We're not imaging our ship are we!?"
Luffy then walk right next to Sanji when he saw that giant ship coming towards the sea restaurant. The Straw Hat crew and two bounty hunters also seen the ship which Ventus and Zoro were looking at it with their serious look on there faces while Nami, Usopp, Johnny, and Yosaku were looking at it with fright expression.
"Guys, don't panic! But I think this is our cue to leave right now!?" Usopp yelled with his face paled.
"Look at that sheer size of that galleon!?" Nami exclaimed with fright.
When Don Krieg's giant pirate ship docked at the sea restaurant, Luffy was looking at the ship with awe and admiration which Sanji doubt that they come here for the food. By the look of the ship, it was a huge wreck and it was about to sink only because one of the masts were snapped into two, all of the sails were torn apart along with the Jolly Roger, the figurehead was broken, and the ship was in hell-bent shape. Until, they saw Don Krieg on this ship as he and Gin head towards the Baratie.
Don Krieg was a large muscular man with purple-gray hair and distinct sideburns. He was wearing a golden armor with fur-lined accents, huge golden pauldrons, golden arm-guards, brown shirt underneath, fur-lined gloves, a yellow vest with black-spot like motifs above the armor, fur-lined coat above his shoulders, purple pants, and black shoes. Around his thick neck there a big golden chain and a white head wrappings around his forehead.
When Don and Gin were making their way towards the sea restaurant, the customers were keeping their distance when they saw him walking. The chefs were upstairs, trying to keep their distance since Patty was the one who beat Gin up in the first place. However, when they got inside, something was wrong and Don Krieg was being dragged by Gin.
"I beg you...I need food...and water...we have money...lots of money...Please, it's been so long I don't even remember the last time I ate. Please, sir." Don Krieg weakly begging the chefs. "I need food and drink...I'm begging you."
Both the customers and the chefs were both shocked and surprised that Don Krieg was begging for food which this is new to them. Sanji was keeping his serious expression on his face since he knew something was wrong about him.
"No, this can't be." Carne said with silent tone.
"Where's the death and destruction? Is this really the 'Don Krieg: Commodore of the Grand Pirate Fleet'?" Patty questions with confusion.
"Guess he's hungry." Luffy said as Sanji went upstairs, heading towards the kitchen to cook something for Don Krieg.
Don then began to tumble down.
"Captain!" Gin called him, collapsing down with him because of his sheer size. "Don Krieg!"
Gin then turned his head towards them as he spoke.
"Please, help him! Our Captain is on a brink of starvation! He could die!" Gin pleaded them, but neither of them would help him. "He hasn't had a single bite to eat for days! He'll die if doesn't get some food soon!"
Apparently, none of those customers or the chefs would help him to give Don Krieg some food after what he had done which Gin was pretty helpless, heard Patty laugh as he spoke.
"This is great! I haven't laugh that hard in a long time." Patty said with a big grin. "The great Don Krieg kneeling before us."
"We have some money! We're here as customers this time!?" Gin protests.
"Do you really think I'm that stupid?" Patty questions as he then turned to he co-worker. "Hey, get a hold of the Marines right away."
"What!?" Gin exclaims with shock.
"He's finally weak enough to be captured. This may never happen again I'm not gonna ruined it by getting his strength back." Patty told him, much to his dismay.
The customers and the chefs agreed to what Patty said which they won't take any chances of feeding Don Krieg after what he had done. If they tried to feed him and get his strength back, he'll go on a rampage and go for the killing spree.
"I won't do anything..." Don Krieg said weakly, earned their attention as he bow. "I won't do anything...once I eat, I promise I'll leave quietly. So please...be merciful and help me."
"You're a King, Don Krieg! Stop it!" Gin plead his captain. "Please don't reduce yourself to this! You're better than the common beggar! Please, sir! What about your pride!?"
"I promise...Please...I'll take the scraps...I'll take anything...Anything!" Don Krieg weakly pleads.
Gin was then crying when he was seeing his Captain begging the customers and the chefs for food and water, but they still refuse to give him food when Sanji head downstairs with a big bowl of food and a bottle of alcohol as Patty spoke.
"Heh, boohoo for the cruel pirate." Patty said.
"Hey step aside, Patty." Sanji said, kicking him in the face which he knocked him out as he then crashes down to the floor. The chefs and Gin then look at Sanji with shock, causing Don Krieg to look at him when he place the food and alcohol next to him. "Here's something for your Captain."
"Thank you, Sanji." Gin thanked him.
"Thank you." Don Krieg thanked him as he then began eating.
Gin was awed for what Sanji did for him which he was doing this out of kindness as Carne rush downstairs, shove his co-worker and spoke.
You dimwit! Get that food away from him right now!" Carne yelled. "Don't you realize he's a cold-heartless killing machine!? This is the man known as the Ruler of the East Blue, the most treacherous of all pirate! It all started back in prison, he pretended to be a Marine and when he decided to declare his pirate ambitions, he took command of the Marine vessels by killing the Senior Officer. He would raise the Marine flag to enter ports, then lay waste to the unsuspecting cities and passenger ships there. He even show the white flag before attacking enemy ships, he did anything to secure a victory."
"That guy fights dirty." Luffy muttered.
"He's also unmatched for physical combat, you think he'll just leave us alone?" Carne questions seriously. "Well I've got news for you, that's not possible with the bloodthirsty killer like him. He deserves death."
When Don Krieg finished eating his food and drinking the alcohol, he then clothesline Sanji, sent him crashing down to the floor. Gin was shocked and the chefs were terrified that Don Krieg just hit the sous chef and the customers then scream with fright as they then panicked, heading towards the ship and leave the sea restaurant.
"This is not what we agreed on!" Gin shouts. "You gave me your word. I only brought you here because you wouldn't ruin this place or hurt the man who saved us."
Don Krieg didn't listen when he grab hold of his shoulder, lifting him up as he spoke.
"Yes, that was delicious." Don Krieg said as he then dislocates Gin's shoulder. "I fell alive again."
Don Krieg then lets go of him with his cold expression on his face.
Meanwhile outside of the sea restaurant, the Straw hat crew were watching the customers leave the sea restaurant with panic.
"Hey, you see that?" Usopp asks, seeing the customers enter the ship. "It looks bad. What do you think is going on in there?"
"Don't know, lets go inside and see." Zoro said with a shrug.
"What!? Are you serious!?" Usopp exclaims with bulged eyes.
"Sure am, you sound scared." Zoro told him with a smirk.
"I am not scared." Usopp denies, but he was obviously scared as Zoro then look at the ship.
"It so strange, this ship looks almost abandoned." Zoro muttered.
Meanwhile at the sea restaurant, Don Krieg then scan the area of the ship with his menacing look on his face, leaving the chefs scared. When he finished looking at the are, he then spoke.
"This is a pretty good ship. I believe that I'll take it." Don Krieg said with a smirk.
Carne then drop his jaws with fright in his eyes while Sanji slowly stood up with blood on his lip.
"Right...I see..." Sanji groaned with a smirk, leaving Patty recovered from that impact as he then look at Don Krieg, causing him to fright. Krieg then breathed out his nose as he spoke.
"As you can all see, my ship is a wreck." Don Krieg told them. "Naturally, I'll be needing a nice new one. After a few small chores, every last one of you will leave the ship."
"What!? No!?" Carne exclaims.
"Don Krieg...you promised...Please." Gin weakly begs, holding his shoulder when Don Krieg thrust his thumb back.
"There are about 100 left on board my ship. All are weak from hunger and many are seriously wounded. If you value your lives, you will prepare food and water for every last one of them." Don Krieg ordered the chefs. "I've lost too many men from hunger already. Bring them over! Immediately!"
"You're telling us to feed our executioners!?" Carne shouts with a scowl. "Do you hear how stupid that sounds!? We refuse!?"
"'You refuse'?" Don Krieg repeats seriously. "I wasn't asking you. Now make no mistake you wretched cook, I'm not placing an order, I am giving you one. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR! DON'T DEFY ME!"
The chefs was then frightened of Don Krieh when he yelled at them with authority. Of course, they refuse to feed Don Krieg's men which he would kill them if they don't, but if they feed them, then the Krieg pirates would also kill them and they don't to be killed by those pirates.
"Sanji." Gin called him, earned his attention. "Sanji...sorry...I didn't mean this to happen."
"YA SEE! LOOK WHAT YOU BROUGHT ON THIS RESTAURANT YA STUPID BASTARD!?" Patty yelled furiously.
Sanji ignored him while looking at Gin holding his dislocated shoulder, even though, Krieg's crewman was being sincere since they didn't know that Don Krieg would do something that was cruel. After looking at him for a few seconds, he then stood up as he then head upstairs to the kitchen. However, the chefs didn't like where he was going as one of them spoke.
"Hey! Where do you think you're going?" Patty questions with a shout, causing Sanji to stop while look over his shoulder.
"To the kitchen." Sanji answered, wiping the blood off his mouth. "Looks like I'll be cooking 100 more meals today."
That got Patty, Carne, Luffy, Gin, and the chefs shocked of his answer which they didn't like that answer.
"WHAT!? ARE YOU CRAZY!?"
"Good. Hope to it." Don Krieg ordered the sous chef with a smirk.
However, Sanji was about to head to the kitchen which the chefs won't let him do it as they stopped him, aiming at him with variety of giant spoons, forks, and knives. Don Krieg then turned his expression into disappointment when he saw the chefs stopped him.
"Tell me the truth, Sanji! Are you his spy or something?"
"We'll can't let you go anywhere near that kitchen!?"
"We're fed up with you acting insane!"
Sanji then raise his arms as he spoke.
"Alright." Sanji said, leaving them confused. "Stop me if you wish. I know, it's no secret that Don Krieg is a terrible, ruthless man. But that doesn't matter to me, it doesn't matter. After we feed all these men, who knows what's going to happen. I'm just a simple cook, no more and no less. If someone's going hungry, it's my duty to feed them. That's all I know. What do you say? Is that wrong?"
After a few seconds of the intense atmosphere, Patty then knocked him out from, leaving Sanji down to the floor.
"Patty!?" Carne shouted.
"Hey, somebody grab him." Patty said with a smirk, turned to Sanji while walking towards the stairwell. "You bring free food to the bums I kick out of this place over and over again. And I'm not about to argue over of who's right in that particular situation, but this time you're just flat-out wrong Sanji. I can't let you do things like that anymore."
Patty then stopped at the stairwell as he then open the hatch as he spoke.
"We're going to protect this place. Fortunately, we've got numbers on our side, it is Don Krieg, but what can he do against all of us?" Patty said, rummaging in the secret hatchet as he finally found what he was looking for. "At a joint like this, pirates scumbags come and go all day. We're fully prepared to serve any kind of customer."
"Is that-?"
"I really hope you saved room for dessert. 'Cuz I have a secret recipe..." Patty said with a smirk, revealing a lobster-shaped cannon. "...That is truly to die for! Open Wide!?"
Patty then began to light it, pulling the lever.
"Here Comes The Meatball Of Doom!?" Patty yelled, firing the cannon at Don Krieg which he took the hit, causing the explosion to destroy the doors which it was enough to make a shockwave of impact and dust of smoke to cover the area. When some of the dust cleared, Patty, Luffy, Sanji, Carne, and the chefs were standing as he spoke.
"I might've broken the door, I sure hope Zeff doesn't yell at me again." Patty said.
"He might go easy on you for saving the restaurant and all." Carne told him.
"So what are we going to do about all the guys left in Krieg's ship?" Sanji questions.
"Fry'em, cover it, batter, and fry the entire thing." Patty answered with a smirk.
However, when the dust clears, Don Krieg was still standing and he looks really angry.
"Are you a chef or a comedian? Because your jokes are lame." Don Krieg growled with his dark tone, leaving the chefs shocked with fright. "And that dessert was terrible!? The worst I ever had!?"
Suddenly, his golden armor revealed the multiple guns from between the side of his ribs and his shoulders, aiming the guns at the chefs.
"SO DIIIIIIIIEEEEEEE!?" Don Krieg yelled as he then fire the guns at the chefs, sent them flying.
"He's got them everywhere!?" Luffy exclaimed with shock.
"All those guns!?" Sanji added with shock.
When the chefs were knocked out and Don Krieg finished firing at them, his side armor and his shoulder pauldrons then reattach themselves as he spoke while revealing his golden-diamond knuckle duster.
"You Cooks Should Not Have Defied Me! I Am By Far The World's Strongest Man! Arms Made Of Solid Steel! Wootz Steel Body Armor! Impenetrable! And A Diamond Fist That Can Pound This Entire World To Dust! In Addition To Weapons On My Body, I Have A Fleet Of 50 Ships With 5000 Pirates! My Record Is Perfect! I've Won Every Single Battle That I've Ever Been In! I Am Don! And I Am The Only One Fit To Be Called Don!" Don Krieg yelled with anger when Zeff shove Luffy out of his way with a big bag of food. However, what got Don Krieg shocked was that he knows who that Zeff really is as he then spoke.
"You're...'Red Foot' Zeff." Don Krieg said with shock.
