"Explosion!!!!"

The shockwave of the explosion is so strong, it sends the other frog flying away. I had to use my sword to keep my footing or else I may receive the same fate as the other frog.

The dust blown by the explosion cause me to cough. "Uhuk! Uhuk! Damn! That's one powerful explosion! Right Kazuma?" I said as the cloud of dust clears out. Kazuma, who's already by crater left out by the explosion inspecting damage caused by it. "So this is magic…." Kazuma said, amazed by the power.

Suddenly the earth rumbles and a frog emerges from the ground, about 50 feet from where we're standing. "Wh- Dammit! The loud sound. Kazuma!"

Kazuma already notice the frog when I call him out. "I know! The explosion must have woken them up. Megumin! Let's back off for now and- Huh?" he suddenly stops when he looks at where the arch wizard is standing earlier. My eyes look at where he's looking and I saw Megumin... lying on the ground? What?

"Megumin! Oi Megumin!!!" I call her out, waiting for a response.

"I'm fine! Well, not exactly." she said, while still lying on the ground. "Although explosion magic possesses tremendous might, it consumes a lot of Mana. In short, I use magic exceeding my limits and now I'm left immobilized." she explains as the frog getting closer and closer. Well, this is bad.

"I never expect a frog will pop up so close by. This is bad. It looked like I'm going to get eaten." And as on cue, the frog is right next to her, mouth opened ready to eat her. "Sorry, could you help m-"

Before Megumin get to finish her line, the frog grabs her with its mouth and swallows her, having the same fate as Aqua.

"Oi y-you guys! Don't get eaten!"

"Megumin! Shit!"

Both Kazuma and I panic. "Kazuma! What should we do?!" I ask him, pointing at the frogs. "What else?! We need to save them of course!" Kazuma said in haste, rushing to the frogs.

I follow him in pursuit, tighten my grips on the handle of my Zweihander. I look at my right, the frog that ate Aqua is in sight. I change my course, heading to the frog. "Kazuma! You go help Megumin! I'll go save Aqua!" I yell, hoping Kazuma to hear. I glance around a bit and fortunately, he did hear me and is heading to the other frog.

As I get closer to the frog, I can see the legs of the goddess still sticking out of the mouth of the frog. "Aqua!" I shout with all my might, hoping she might hear me. To my relief, her legs start moving, trying to struggle. "Mmph! Mmph mmph!" Those are the only thing I can hear, but I'm pretty sure she's saying something about save me or something like that.

I hop onto the frog's rear leg and give me a boost to jump onto its head. I landed just between its eyes and in front of me is the leg of Aqua. "Don't worry Aqua! I'll get you- S-Shit!" Damn it! I had to turn my head away cause this goddess seems to not wear anything under her skirt except for a thin white and blue striped panties.

Freak sake! Now isn't the time to turn into a blushing mess!

With all my strength, I pull Aqua's leg, freeing her from the frog's today's menu. I throw her onto the ground, a bit rough, but I can risk her getting hurt while I'm fighting this freaking frog, can't I?

The frog then realized that its meal just have been interrupted. It starts to move aggressively, causing me to lose my balance and fall down from its head. Now the frog had its eyes on me. I have to act fast!

I readied my sword as the frog starts leaping towards me. I charge at the frog with my sword and with a long swing I penetrate it's throat, killing it instantly.

I pant heavily as the Zweihander is a heavy sword to wield and control. I will the sword to disappear and in a flash, the sword disappears into nothing. I look around and see Aqua lying on the ground with her face down.

"Huff-hufff... Aqua? You alright?" I approach her, a bit concern in my face. As I get closer and closer, I can hear a sound coming from her.

Is she... crying?

She lifts up her face and what I see is really living up to her name as the goddess of water. Streams of tears coming out from her eyes, like a lot. I never see someone cry as lot as that, I don't think that there's anyone who able to. Yup, no doubt she's a goddess. No human can cry that much.

Then, she's starts howling.

"UWAHHHHH!!!! F-FAJAR! THANK- SOBS - THANK YOU FOR SAV-SAVING ME!!!!"

I had to cover both of my ears from the loud voice of her. And she's still crying!

"Aqua! If you keep crying out loud like that more frog may appear!" I yell, causing her to stop crying immediately. She just sniffs and nodded while getting up on her feet. I doubt frogs would wake up to her crying alone to be honest, but eh... anything works.

"Now let's return to the others. I don't know if they already finish, but let's wait them at the town's gate." I say, once again she's only nodding, sniffing and sobbing.

We walk to the town's gate, and we can see Kazuma with Megumin on his back, both waiting for us. "You guys okay?" I ask. Kazuma gave me a thumbs up. "Except from being covered in slime and stinks, we're okay. You?" Now, it's my turn to give him a thumbs up. "Except from being super exhausted and traumatized, we're also okay."

Kazuma nodded, and start walking back into town. "Alright! Let head back to the guild and claim our rewards." I follow him with Aqua tailing behind.

*KO*NO*SU*BA*

"I stink... I stink!"

"Aqua... We're all stink."

Aqua's crying start to give me a headache. How can she keep hydrated even after all those crying?

"The inside of a frog stink, but there's a nice and warm feeling."

Okay, what the heck Megumin?

"That's an information I didn't want to know." Kazuma said. "Me neither." I agree with him.

"(sigh) You're banned from using explosion magic, expect in emergency. Just do your best with some other magic from now on." Kazuma said to the arch wizard on his back.

"I can't."

And like a cliché anime scene, a crow fly over us.

"Ark! Ark! Ark!"

"Huh?"/"Huh?"

Both Kazuma and I are surprised by this information.

"I can only use explosion magic. I can't use any other type of magic." she explains.

"For real?"

"For real."

Kazuma deeply inhales, clearly try to process all of these. "How on earth did you learn such a powerful spell alone? Didn't you have to learn basic magic or anything first?" I try to use my RPG game logic. Although games and real world are two completely different things, this world supposed to use that kind of mechanics, right?

"Yeah! Of your level is high enough to learn explosion magic, shouldn't you be able to use other magic?" suddenly Aqua interrupt, and also supporting my opinion. Yes, thank you Aqua.

"Even I didn't learn all the arch priest spells until after I learned the party trick skills." she continues.

"Party tricks?" I look at her in disbelief.

"Oi! What the heck it all about with the party trick?" Kazuma ask,which being ignored by the blue haired girl.

"I'm an arch wizard who loves explosion magic above all else! I didn't like any other magic in the detonation family! I only loves explosion magic! I, of course, could adventure easily if I learn any other spells, but that just won't do! Even if I collapse after one use, or I exceed my limits, explosion magic will be the only magic I love! after all, I chose the path of arch wizard solely so I can use explosion magic!" Megumin proudly proclaims.

Did this girl hit her head or something?

I just facepalm myself. "Megumin, you can't survive using only one-"

"Wonderful! Simply wonderful!" Out of the blue, Aqua cuts me off and start supporting Megumin's crazy dreams. Facepalm number two.

"You know what? I'm out. I'm not going to waste my brain cells arguing with you two." I say, sitting down on the exact spot I'm just standing.

Kazuma and Megumin start to argue. Kazuma really don't want her in the party while Megumin still insist on joining the party.

"You got dumped by another party didn't you? I said let go! Hey Fajar! Help me out here!" Kazuma is struggling really hard to break free from her grip. "Huh? Don't get me involved dude!" I say, still sitting on the ground.

"If you help me, I will give you anything! Just get this crazy girl away from me!" Kazuma says, which quickly have my attention. A devilish smile creeps upon my face.

"Anything?"

"Anything! Now please!"

"Alright!" I get up on my feet and positioned myself behind both of them.

"Huh? Fajar? What are you doing?" Megumin ask when she notice I'm standing right behind her. I gave her a devious grin.

"KUCHIKUCHIKUCHIKU!"

"WH-BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-STOP IT! HAHAHAHAHAHA I SAID STOP IT!"

Megumin's grips on Kazuma comes loose as I start tickling her side. As soon as Kazuma broke free from her, I quickly hold her arm, locking her in place.

"I'm free!" Kazuma says dramatically as I hold Magumin. He turns around and looks at the girl. With a creepy smile, he says. "Now... Where are we just now?" Megumin looks so terrified by Kazuma sudden threat.

"What are you guys doing to that poor girl?!"

Eh?

Both Kazuma and I turn to our right, and see a group of women, looking at us with both disgust and horror.

When I think about it, we do look suspicious. With me holding Megumin, Kazuma with his creepy face and both Aqua and Megumin who are covered in slimes.

Well, shit...

"Look! Both the girls are all slimy!"

"Oh dear... What have these two men done to them..."

"What kind of act did those perverts perform on them?"

No! I don't want to be recognized as a pervert!

"I-It's not like that!"

"Yeah! W-We're just finishing some quest!"

Both Kazuma and I are frantically trying to defend ourselves. The women, however, aren't buying it and stare at us doubtfully.

"I'm fine with whatever erotic acts you like!"

The heck? Megumin?!

Dammit! This girl!!!

"I'll show you I can even endure that slimy act-"

As fast as my hand could possibly move, I cover that little brat's mouth with my hand. She mutters something that I can comprehend, but I'm sure she's pissed as heck.

"Hahaha silly kid! The frogs must have traumatized her that she's starting talking nonsense, right Kazuma?" I said as I awkwardly laugh. Kazuma, who gets the hint, join laughing. "Hahaha yeah right! Oh you looked at the time! We must hurry before the guild close. Let's go!"

And in an instant, we leave the scene immediately, Megumin in my hand and Aqua being dragged by Kazuma.

If I could die I would stab myself already.

We arrive at the guild, panting for air. "Huff... Huff... That was close." Kazuma says, catching his breath after that long run.

"Yeah... For real man." I say. I don't know if the women believe our story, most likely they don't, but at least we get away from them.

"Mmphhh!"

I look down at the noise and I just realize Megumin is still in my hands, my hand still cupping her mouth shut.

"Oh my gosh! Sorry Megumin!" I immediately let her go.

"Uhuk! Uhuk! Arghh! You! What the hell!" she says, points her finger at me. Yup, she's pissed.

"Hey! Good girl doesn't swear!"

I feel really dumb when I add fuel into the fire.

"Darkness blacker than black..."

"Argghh! Megumin I'm sorry! I'm truly sorry! Please forgive me! I'll let you join the party!" For some reason, that come out of my mouth out of sudden.

Immediately, Megumin stops her chanting and look at me with glowing eyes. "Really?!"

"Oi oi oi! I'm the leader here!" Kazuma says, not pleased with the idea.

Megumin stares at us, pouting. Suddenly, she smirks.

"Well, I'm fine with not being in your party. But would you be fine with rumors around about two guys perform pervert acts on their female party member? I'm fine with that~"

Kazuma and I look at each other in both horror and disbelief.

Is this girl really blackmailing us?

"Uggghhhh!!!!! Fine! I get it! You're in! Glad to have you aboard!" Kazuma finally makes the final decision. Megumin smirks victoriously.

"Nehhh... When we're going to arrive at the bath house? I can't stand another minute being this stinks!" suddenly Aqua whines.

We completely forgot that we're planning on going to the bath house before heading to the guild. With all the fiasco earlier, we really lost our track.

"Oh, right! Let's go! But we must hurry. The guild could be closed any minute now." Kazuma says.

After a few minutes of searching, we finally found it. The girls entered the bath house and both Kazuma and I head to the guild.

"Hey Kazuma?"

"Yes, I'm Kazuma."

"Are you really okay with Megumin joining our party?" I ask him.

"We don't have any choice, didn't we?" he answers carefreely.

"(sigh) I'm sorry Kazuma. It's my fault." "Dude, don't blame yourself. My name is at risk too, and I don't want to be known as a lolicon." he says, which put a smile on my face.

"Yeah, you're right."

"I've confirmed that you have completed your quest. Thank you for your hard work." Luna returns our adventurer cards after the monster the monster that we killed is confirmed using a strange box-shaped machine. It turns out, whenever you kill a monster, it will be recorded in our card, which is really convenient.

I looked at my card, and to my surprise, I've already levelled up to level 3. But not only that, I just realize I never really take a good look at my card. The first time I get it, I'm too flustered by the crowd that I immediately leave the counter in haste. Well, better late than never I guess

Wow, I never realize I have this much of abilities. But skills in the other hand... how can I learn skills actually? And also, my mana has been drained a lot. Maybe next time I should create some smaller weapons first.

"I went up four levels at once!" Kazuma said as he looked at his card. "Wow... That's awesome dude!" I praise him.

"The newer the adventurer, the faster you'll grow." Luna explains.

"So added to the payments of killing the frogs and completing the quest, your reward would be 110000 Eris. Please verify the amount." she continues.

Kazuma took the money from the tray and put it in a pouch. "110000 between four people huh? That will be..." I do a quick calculation in my head. "27500 per person." (note: 1 Eris is about 1 ¥. So 110000 Eris will be around 1041 USD at the time I'm writing this.)

"Yeah. We just risk our lives for 27500 Eris for each. It's not worth it." Kazuma complaints.

"Totally not worth it. And let's don't forget we nearly get marked as perverts." I say as the matter of fact.

"I want to check if there's any other quest we can take." Kazuma informs me as he walks to the bulletin board.

"Alright. I'll wait for the girls." I said, taking a seat at a table nearby the entrance so it will be easier for the girls to spot me.

A couple of minutes later, Kazuma returns. "Well?" "No luck dude. All of the quests available are some big no's" That's sucks. Ughhhh... RPG makes this sort of life look easy. The truth is really bitter huh? I look at Kazuma and I can see in his face that he's also not enjoying this kind of life at all.

"Excuse me, I happened to notice your recruitment poster." We turn around to the voice and see a blonde haired woman, wearing an armor which resembles a knight's armor. And her face. The only word I can describe her face is gorgeous. A single virgin like me would totally enchanted by her beauty.

Dammit! Stop staring like a creep, me!

"Are you still recruiting?" She asks, showing the recruitment poster earlier.

I look at Kazuma... and he's nothing less than me. He just can't stop staring. I elbowed him to snap him out. "Huh? Oh um... Yeah, we are! But I wouldn't recommend you joining though." he said.

"I see... Thank goodness. I've been anxiously awaiting for the arrival of someone such as yourself. My name is Darkness. My calling is that of a crusader! Please let... Please let me j-join your party!"
