This is the 30th chapter. Okay guys, I'm gonna skip the part where Buggy was having a lot trouble finding his crew and his body while meet up with Alvida because I don't like either them. Though, from that focus on Buggy is a bit hilarious for the most part, but I'm just focusing on the Straw Hat pirates sailed towards Loguetown.
Also, this is too many character focus so I'm gonna have to focus on Nami and Ventus for the first part. Don't worry, I didn't leave the rest of the Straw Hat crew hanging which I'll be focusing on them in the future chapters.

Entering Loguetown! The City of the Beginning and The End! Part 1
Loguetown
It's been a few days since they left Coconomi Island. The Going Merry was just minding it's own business sailing towards Loguetown. Where they were sailing, Ventus was doing his usual training, practicing his lance while doing some aerial combat and spar with Zoro every morning and noon. The young Dragoon was able to keep Luffy on a short leash while preventing him for stealing everyone's food due to his bottomless pit stomach which it did help Sanji a lot along with Nami. Of course, the navigator is teaching the young Dragoon some basics about navigation which he's able to learn quickly while the cook helps him practice cooking and get him to wash the dishes. Sanji then inspect the dishes which they were spotless. He was surprised that those dishes were like brand new and not a single grease or a leftover food in there, but he's glad that someone got him to learn the daily basics that doesn't involves physical labor.
After that, Sanji had started to give Ventus more work which the young Dragoon knows that wasn't that hard since the ship needs to be done daily. Ventus have done every job thoroughly and without any complaints which he's no stranger for cleaning while Sanji was grateful for the help and glad that he had a helper. Usopp had expressed his concerns about the amount of work that the young Dragoon was doing which he argued with Sanji about the amount of chores he's given him. The cook didn't see any problems, but the lair told him that the young Dragoon is doing too much, between his aerial combat, Zoro's training, and Sanji's cleaning which he barely had enough time to relax.
Sanji then told him that he gets an hour a day and also told him that Ventus is mature than him despite his age. Usopp then told him that it's not enough time, but Sanji retorts it might if he and Luffy didn't waste time on getting him involved in childish antics, reminds him that they're on the ship and those jobs need to be done daily. Usopp made a suggestion to divide them up between the rest of the crew which Sanji disagrees because none of them can be trusted to do them properly, much to his dismay.
Even though, Usopp knew that Sanji is right only because Luffy would break things by accident and rather play instead or working, Zoro only sleep through his turn as usual, but he sometimes help out, Nami was never asked to do anything which she goes there and help Ventus clean up the ship while he help take care of the Tangerine Grove, and Usopp didn't get all the work done at all which it was doubtful.
Ventus have overheard of their argument which he knew that Usopp is trying to help, but even though, he would try and get him involved in their childish antics. After what happen to him when he saw his mother died right before his eyes, he has to learn to grow up fast and mature.
The relationship in between Ventus and the Straw Hats so far were on very friendly which they accepted him as who he is. Luffy has been on good terms with Ventus, but most time the young Dragoon always reminded him and tried to keep him out of trouble. However, they do show respect towards each other when it comes to battles. Zoro have formed a strong bond and a mutual respect with him, but he also considered a father-figure whenever the enemy pirates or the Marines tried to attacks the young Dragoon which it caused him to protect him. Sanji have also formed a bond as they're in a teacher-student relationship while being a brother figure to him, impressed that the young Dragoon is a quick learner despite being a self-taught while helping him clean up the ship and the dishes to make sure its clean daily. Nami had formed a close relationship with him which they had a similar pasts, but the navigator have felt like she had adopted him as her little brother. Usopp have also been close to him, even though he tried to get him involved in childish antics which the young Dragoon keeps telling him that they're on a ship, but despite that, he was able to get him to laugh a little by telling those lies which the young Dragoon saw through his lies while decided to humor him.
Now, the Straw Hat pirates have arrived in Loguetown which Ventus had a feeling that he forgets something important about this place. It got interrupted when Nami called him while she and everyone else got off the Going Merry after docking the ship. The young Dragoon was able to get the money that was stashed in his bag earlier which he's still had it from his previous odd jobs and bounty hunting.
"WOOHOOOO~! This is gonna be so fun!" Luffy yelled with excitement.
"Every pirate headed to the Grand Line stops here to resupply." Nami explains. "It has everything you can possibly need."
"If that's the case, then I'm gonna go on a shopping spree." Usopp declared with a smile. "I'll bet they have all sorts of stuff here."
"I'll be able to stock up on fresh produce." Sanji added, blush with a grin. "And fresh women."
"You think there'd be a swordsmith around here?" Zoro questions himself.
"I thought you were broke." Nami said with a smile, leaving Zoro grunts. "Are you gonna steal a sword?"
Ventus then went on ahead while heading to the Marine, leaving the Straw Hat pirates notice that the young Dragoon left which Usopp saw him.
"There he is." Usopp points at the young Dragoon.
"Ventus, come back here! You can't just go wandering off on your own! Get back here!" Nami yelled at him, chasing after him.
"And there they go. I hope he doesn't make Nami too upset." Usopp said with worried expression.
"He'll be fine, he can take care of himself." Zoro points out. "It's Nami I'm worried about, she may get the wrong ideas about the money."
"Hey, Nami isn't like that!?" Sanji shouts with his white eyes and shark-like teeth. "She would never ask him for lending money!?"
"She might while trying to get the kid pissed off, unlike the stupid cook I know." Zoro muttered with shrug, earned a tick mark on Sanji's head.
"What Was that!?"
"You Heard Me!?"
"That's It! You're Dead!?"
With that, both Sanji and Zoro then fight for no reason, leaving Luffy laughing which the straw hat captain thinks it was funny while Usopp sighed, seeing that those two aren't getting along.
'Whenever we back on the Going Merry, we have to set up a ground rules for Ventus so he won't go wandering off again. Who knows what trouble he'll get himself into.' Usopp mentally thought, thinking that Ventus might be in big trouble.
The Straw Hat pirates then went separate ways when Luffy ran off to find the place where Gol D. Roger was executed. Zoro wanted to find a sword shop to replace his two katanas that were shattered into pieces. Usopp doesn't have a goal in mind which he might find something he can put use. Sanji was heading somewhere he can find some supplies to restock while look at the ladies.
Ventus is heading towards the Marine HQ to give the information to someone whos in charge when he was jumping from building-to-building since he can see the Marine HQ. Nami was trying to catch up with the young Dragoon which she was having a hard time because of his dragon traits.
When Ventus made it towards the Marine HQ, he then went inside when he saw the Marine on the desk going through the papers when he notice the young Dragoon as he spoke.
"Can I help you?" The Marine asks.
Ventus then give him a letter that the Commodore have given him back at the Coconomi island a while ago. The Marine took a letter, seeing that Commodore Pudding Pudding have given him the letter which it was about the Arlong pirates, except Hachi, were dead as he spoke.
"I'll just have to talk with Captain Smoker, please wait a moment." The Marine said, earned a nod from him as he then quickly rushed off. He then wait for Smoker for only three minutes before the Marine came back with Smoker.
Smoker is a muscular, white-haired and brown-eyed man with a distinct trait of always been seen smoking two cigars at once. He wears a large thick white and blue specialist marine jacket which he keeps it open with greenish fur lining neck, wrists, and hem. The jacket bears a kanji for 'justice' written on the back. Many cigar are strapped to the jacket and he carries a Seastone tipped jitte as his weapon on his back.
"Ventus Starwind." Smoker said seriously. "Heard you took down the entire Arlong pirates and destroyed Arlong Park."
"So you knew?" Ventus questions.
"Commodore Pudding Pudding told me about your actions few days ago and how you took care of that rat, Nezumi." Smoker explains. "So he decided to place a bounty on the Straw Hat and not you, I don't blame him for what he did and I have agreed to his suggestion since you've been through hell longer than I have."
Ventus then begins to understand why Luffy was in the wanted poster instead of him. Even though, Luffy may have beaten Morgan, Buggy, Kuro, and Don Krieg which it makes him the notorious pirate and a wanted pirate, but Ventus have beaten Mohji, Butchie, and the entire Arlong pirates, except Hachi which he beats more enemies than the rubber captain.
"Anyway, I've confirmed the letter's document." Smoker told him, makes him snapped out of his stupor. "And I'm given you a total of 17 million berries since Arlong's bounty is 20 million while Kuroobi's bounty is 9 million, we've decided to combine those two bounties to give that total amount."
Ventus then give him a nod when Smoker then go through his jacket, extends the black pouch with a dragon scale design.
"You'll also need this." Smoker told him.
"A pouch?" Ventus asks with confusion.
"Not just any ordinary pouch, it's a magic item called, a Dimension Pouch." Smoker told him. "This pouch allows you to place any items in this pouch, big or small. It can also allow you to fit them inside of the dimensional pocket."
Ventus was then caught off-guard with surprised expression, never in his life that someone grabs hold of that item that was originally from Ishgard at the North Blue.
"How did you grab hold of it?" Ventus questions, taking the pouch.
"I didn't, Anna gave it to me. She told me to give it to you when you're here in Loguetown." Smoker told him, leaving Ventus shocked when he heard that name. "Guess you're familiar about her?"
"Yes, she happens to be a nun from Ishgard and a friend of my mother." Virgil admits sadly. "Is there a reason why she's here?"
"There is, she came here to look for you after you give her and the nuns a last message before you left Burmecia. She gave up her life as a nun by searching for you when she heard that the dragons from Dravannia to look for you." Smoker explains. "And a year ago, she decided to come here and looking for a job just to earn some money to look you."
"But I don't want to be found, not when my uncles and the dragons are on the loose." Ventus told him. "I've been traveling to the Grand Line just to earn money and hide."
"And you don't even stay still while we tried looking for you, you're very hard to find." Smoker retorts. "I told her that he doesn't want to be found, but she didn't believe it while continuing to look for you."
"Do you know where she is now?" Ventus asks.
"She's probably still here in Loguetown. It's a big city, you can easily get lost." Smoker told him. "Also, you won't have a hard time tracking her down with your keen sense of smell."
Ventus then give him a nod which it's enough to know that Anna is still out there in Loguetown.
"Captain." The Marine called him, earned his attention. "We got a message from the Headquarters. I've just received word that Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew are headed to Loguetown from the East Blue. The bounty on his head has just been raised to 30 million berries."
"30 million? I can't wait to congratulate him." Smoker said seriously. "Anyway kid, good luck on finding Anna. Also, the 17 million berries are inside of that pouch, you won't have any problems traveling light."
Ventus give the Captain a nod as Smoker and the Marines then head out of the Marine HQ to hunt down Luffy which the Marine Captain didn't know that the young Dragoon is with the Straw Hat crew.
'If Sister Anna is here in Loguetown, then why is she looking for me? I should get answers when I find her.' Ventus mentally thought as he then left the Marine HQ.
When Ventus have left the HQ, he then remembered something important when he spotted the compass shop. A year ago, the pirates have mentioned the young Dragoon about the Log Pose when they get to Loguetown before heading to the Grand Line. Seeing the compass shop, he decided to go in and see if the have one of those Log Pose.
He couldn't help but feel amazed by the amount of compasses this place is. However, the thing about the shop is, they don't have an Eternal Pose, only the Log Pose.
'Are these the Log Pose they're talking about?' Ventus mentally questions.
"A customer? Are you a pirate by any chance?" The old man asked, earned his attention. "If you are, then I assume you're heading to the Grand Line, aren't you?"
"I am." Ventus replied with a nod.
"I see." The old man said. "Then I assume that you are also here to buy a Log Pose, right?"
"Sir, if I may ask. What is this Log Pose?" Ventus questions.
"You don't know what a Log Pose is? Then that would mean you're just started as a pirate, did you?" The old man asks, earned a nod from him. "I see. Well young one, a Log Pose is a compass that only works in the Grand Line. Why is it a compass, you ask? Because unlike the other islands in the East Blue, the islands in the Grand Line have a strong magnetic field that messes up a normal compasses sense of direction while the Log pose is a special compass that can remember the magnetic fields. It's impossible to navigate in the Grand Line without one."
"When you said something about magnetic fields, you meant to say that the Log Pose can pinpoint any island in the Grand Line?" Ventus asked him.
"When you put it that way, that'd be a yes." The old shopkeeper nods. "However in each island, there are different times for each one to have it to reset to pinpoint the next island. For example, it takes a day for the Log Pose to reset on one island while the other island will take it a year to reset."
"I see. Then those things are meant for pirates if they're heading to the Grand Line." Ventus said. "I'll take two in case the other breaks."
"Wise choice, young lad." The old shopkeeper complies. "That'll be 1 million berries."
'Dammit! They could've at least me give me warning about the price.' Ventus mentally cursed as he takes his case out of the pouch while paying the shopkeeper.
When Ventus exits the shop after placed the two Log Pose in the Dimension Pouch while wandering in Loguetown, he then saw a group hitting on a woman in the alley. He then recognize that woman which it happens to be Anna, the former nun in Ishgard.
She had a red hair reach down to her shoulders and brown eyes. She wore a white shirt with a blue vest, blue dress, and black shoes. She also carries a basket on her left arm.
"Come on, woman." The large man of the group complains with a smirk. "We just want you to come with us for a while."
"I'm sorry, but I'm not into a man who's a brute." Anna retorts with her stern yet calm tone.
"Don't be like that, it's not like we're going to hurt you. Just come with us or you'll get hurt, broad." The large man threatens her, causing Ventus to grew enraged as he rush after him, punching him with his dragon claw.
"You should take that answer and leave. That's not how you treat Sister Anna." Ventus growled with anger, leaving Anna shocked that the young Dragoon knows him.
"And who are you should be?" The large man asked. "Don't you know who I am?"
"No, but I don't care of who you are." Ventus answered. "I'm a Dragoon and a pirate, Ventus Starwind."
That got Anna off-guard with shock when the young Dragoon told his name.
"Hey! You better not provoke our boss! He-"
Ventus then grab hold of him, throwing at the leader of group with the amount of strength, sent them flying while the other was about to attack him.
"Dragon's Fang" Ventus the fling his lance to impale him in the shoulder, causing him to scream in pain.
Ventus then pulled his lance out while the two manage to recover quickly as they go after the young Dragoon.
"Ring of Thorns" Ventus then leaps in mid-air, stabbing his lance to the ground as the wind to surround him while the group of thugs felt slashes of the wind and knocked out.
The group of thugs then look at the young Dragoon with scared expression as he spoke when his eyes were dilated into a dragon.
"Leave, now." Ventus growled as the group of thugs then flees. He then turned his head to Anna which she's in tears when the former nun look at him.
"It's you...It really is you..." Anna cried as she then embraced the young Dragoon. "Ventus..."
"There you are!" Nami shouts, earned their attention as she panted heavily. "Ventus...I've been looking all over for you...You shouldn't wander off on your own."
The two then break up the embrace which this atmosphere is awkward, causing Nami to sweat drop.
"Uh Ventus, is there something you're not telling me?" Nami questions.
Ventus then begin explain about why he wandered off on his own, told her that he went to the Marine HQ to get the bounty. He also told her that he saved a woman named Anna from the group of thugs in the alley, but he decided not to tell her about the shop where it sells Log Pose.
"I see...That explains why since you're able to get here. I know you've got the dragon traits, but the way you leap on the building isn't normal." Nami said with a sigh. "So, care to explain why you're hugging her? You know you're too young to be doing the deed."
"It's not what you think!?" Ventus exclaims with a blush. "She's a friend of my mother and she also helped me left Ishgard!?"
"I was kidding Ventus, calm down." Nami assures with giggle, thinking it's funny to tease him. "But still, I'm surprised that Anna is here in Loguetown. The question is, why are you here?"
"I was looking for Ventus." Anna told her. "You see a year ago, Ventus have given us a message that he was leaving Burmecia since the dragons were looking for him. I was worried along with the other sisters from the Church."
"But why are you looking for me?" Ventus questions.
"Because I made a promise to your mother that I would look for you and take care you." Anna told him. "I still hold that promise to your mother. She's the one who saved me when my mother died for given birth and my father commits suicide. I learned how to hunt and to use a bow from my auntie and I became a ranger. Of course, I was on a brink of death during the raid from the village in the west. Your mother took me in and took care of me in the Church."
Ventus and Nami were stunned about Anna's past and how she met his mother.
"You see, Merida is like a sister to me and you Ventus, you were like a son to me ever since you were a baby." Anna stated with a sad smile. "I've had so many fond memories of you, you were a full of life, happy, and you're always a handful when you cause trouble."
Ventus then blush with embarrassment, causing Nami to giggle a bit of his reaction.
"But now look how you're grown, you look just like your father." Anna said. "And you've got your mother's eyes."
"Um, much as we like to stay and here about this reunion, but we're in a hurry right now." Nami told her. "Also, I have to get Ventus some new clothes."
Anna then begin to take Nami and Ventus to the shop where they sell clothes which the navigator scolded him for running off on his own, but she's glad that he's okay. When they got into the shop, Nami then have Ventus tried out some new clothes. He doesn't have that much clothing and he needs to change clothes in case the ones he wore is dirty.
Nami and Anna were able to get those new clothes for the young Dragoon which he was able to pay the shopkeeper for only 300 thousand berries, much to their surprise. When Anna ask how he gets all the money which Nami and Ventus explains to her about their previous adventures. She was surprised that Ventus have been able to fend off against pirates and made friends which happens to be the Straw Hat pirates, but glad to see that they're accepting him. However, Anna then begin to warn them about the Captain of the Marine HQ, Smoker.
"Captain Smoker?" Nami asks with confusion.
"Yes, he's one of the toughest Marines here in Loguetown. The city is use to be a hangout for pirates heading to the Grand Line, but not anymore." Anna explains. "As soon as Smoker take over, any pirate that's ever come near this island has been caught, incarcerated, and executed. Smoker is far worse than any Marines. There is a rumor that he had the Devil Fruit powers."
"You mean...?"
"That's right, he ate the Plume-Plume fruit." Anna nods. "He can turn himself into a smoke and manipulate them."
Nami was shocked about this information, but Ventus wasn't surprised about it since he did met him only twice, seeing how capable he is.
"Sister Anna, come with us." Ventus suggests, leaving Anna confused. "Sister Anna, I'm not asking you to become a pirate, I'm asking you to come with us."
Anna was surprised that Ventus is offering him to come with the Straw Hat crew which it's new to her. Apparently, she did give up her life as a nun to find the young Dragoon since he give them a last message and leaving Burmecia so both Freya and Fratley will be safe from harm. She then spoke.
"Alright." Anna accepts. "But first, I need to get some things I need."
When they reach towards Anna's house, both Nami and Ventus were waiting for her. Few minutes later, Anna came out of the house with her new attire.
She wore a ranger leather-chainmail hauberk, ranger leather-chainmail skirt, dark blue wool hood, leather overbraces, black pants, and leather boots. She carries a recurve longbow and a quiver with arrows.
"This is the attire that wore long ago as a ranger." Anna confessed. "And I'm still a ranger when I secretly hold an assignment to protect your mother. However, I deeply regret for failing that assignment when I tried to convince her to leave Ishgard, but I won't fail for protecting you. Even though, you've manage to take care of yourself a moment ago while saving me from those brutes and I thank you for that. So for now, Ventus, I'll go with you on your journey."
Ventus have given him a nod while Nami smiled, glad to see that Anna and the young Dragoon is reunited as they begin to find the Straw Hat crew.
That's it for the 30 chapter. Don't worry, that's just the first part of this Loguetown part. Like I said, it has too many character focus.
So anyway, that's a character focus between Ventus and Nami. I'll be working on the other characters in the future.
