** Mystic Fate spoilers ahead! **

'MADDIE! NICK!', Vida yelled on top of her lungs.

'Get Away from that thing!' Xander joined her.

Chip kept hitting the transparent surface encaging him and his fellow Mystic Rangers.

Madison and Nick groaned loudly, falling on their backs, demorphed; both of them clutched their necks, breathing heavily after the Master's strike. They looked deeply at each other's eyes; the three fellow rangers knew that sort of telepathic connection formed between them. They didn't necessarily need words to communicate any more.

Nick helped Madison up and hugged her tightly; they broke the hug, still at each other's arms, 'I love you', they both whispered silently. Nick leaned in quickly before Maddie could retreat, cupping her cheeks, kissing her slowly, as almost bidding farewell to his beloved.

'Maddie! Stop please-', Vida said, her voice coming out hoarsely. She knew deep down her sister won't be convinced once she made her mind.

Maddie turned around and gave her sister an apologetic look, 'we will be done with this soon, sis' she smiled at her.

'Ready?'

'Ready!'

'LEGENDARY SOURCE, MYSTIC FORCE!' they yelled simultaneously.

'I think it's time for our new spell code' Maddie yelled.

'uthra oppositum', Maddie had practiced this incantation long ago.

Maddie and Nick had formed into their own unique Zord. The newfound machine was half a mermaid with a tail bouncing instead of legs, half a phoenix – bird looking front and enormous flaps, fire prints trailing all over.

Chip look astounded, turning to his friends, 'did you know they could morph into that?' he emphasized.

Vida was looking breathlessly at the sight ahead of her, 'that god forsaken cage!' she pounded angrily, her hands red and swollen from the continuous bumping the invisible wall locking them.

The Master had recovered, ready to slash again, sword swooping out of it bowls. The Zord Maddie and Nick formed bounced on its tail, sword appearing at the end of its left wing.

'MYSTIC SWORD', the crew heard Nick and Maddie yell, while trying to show support.

It was positioned at the ready as the first strike came. The Master got the upper hand, gold sparks flying all over. The Zord crouched down, its sword chiseling the cave ground.

The Master had risen his sword, with a loud CLUNCK making the cave shake violently.

Maddie and Nick had managed to recounter, seemingly slightly imbalanced. Their sword crossing the Master's.

'They will demorph soon' yelled Xander, seeing fire rising from its right-wing. Banging on the surface as loud as Vida, in hopes to grab their attention.

The Master had risen again, so as Nick and Maddie. Sword positioned at the ready again, but this time – they charged at the Master, their sword aimed at cutting through it horizontally.

The Zord jumped, its sword in front, slashing the Master. Yelps of pain echoed through the cave. The rangers didn't figure out to whom they were related to, while also frightened to do so. Gold sparks flying everywhere, as well as fog turning the eyesight level to zero.

POP POP POP

The whole group was staring astounded as the Master vanished into thin air, as though a tornado had swooped into the nothingness. Xander, Chip and Vida roared with amusement, 'they did it', Vida breathed happily as the transparent surface was melting, finally letting them get away.

'Yes! Finally,' sighed Xander contently.

'VIDA! LOOK OUT!' Chip screamed shoving her shoving her out-of-the-way as a major crash sound shook the cave once again. The Zord formed in front of their eyes was coming down heavily, cranking noises filling the air.

Chip and Vida were rolled in a corner, Chip's back turned to the scene as he tried protecting her from debris that kept befalling harshly. '

'Xander, are you okay?' Chip yelled.

'Be sure I am, mate' he replied, while Chip and Vida took huge breaths of relief. 'Let's get Nick and Maddie out of that thing' Xander claimed, his supervisor instincts rising again.

'It's weird they haven't come out, yet though' Chip chimed in, trying to maintain a low voice, yet fear flashed in his eyes.

'They are probably just stuck in there, that thing is huge' Xander tried resonating, though he didn't sound so convinced himself.

'Let's just go inside, scaredy cats' Vida said challenging them, taking the lead.

'I'm the supervisor' Xander said sweetly, 'so I should get there first' he said.

'Do you think you can supervise me kicking your butt?' She retorted, shoving past him, and climbing on top the Zord's ruins, heading straight to the cockpit. However, she was not mentally ready for the horror sight materializing in front of her eyes.

As she climbed through a hole in cockpit's bottom, the chessboard floor was unstable making small creek sounds as Vida crawled trying to reach her younger sister and her boyfriend.

'Maddie? Nick?' she whispered, 'where are you?' her voice echoing in the darkness surrounding her.

At the other side of the cockpit, she heard yelps and whimpers, 'MADDIE', she whisper-yelled crawling as fast as she could, the low whimpers aiding her navigation through the darkness.

Chip had emerged, dry tears sticking to his ashes filled face, 'V, you shouldn't- ', his voice broke as he tried pushing her away from the tiny hole he appeared from. Away from the scene unfolding down there.

'You are joking right? That's my sister there!' she yelled angrily, pushing past him as some cables almost slashed her face.

This time, Xander popped up, 'V- please', Vida demanded exasperatedly, 'let me see my sister!'

The ominous ambience surrounded her, as the scene unfolded. Maddie was laying limply in her seat, so was Nick. Both had gashes on their foreheads, blood oozing heavily from their wounds.

Vida screamed, 'sis!' as she crouched next to her, trying to shake her unconscious sister awake.

'Maddie! Talk to me please- ', she kept shaking her, while smearing the blood on her forehead as she failed wiping it. Maddie kept falling limply as the shakes intensified, a hand holding hers. Vida followed Maddie's hand till she finally understood.

Vida's vision was clouded by her own tears as she saw Maddie and Nick's hands intertwined.

'You once said you loved to him death, I didn't f-figure' Vida mumbles as she fell to her knees, Xander and Chip crouching at her sides. They tried containing their sobs, for Vida who was collapsing, waves of grief drawing her in.

'MADDIE!'

Vida shot straight out of bed, beads of cold sweat dripping on her face. She breathed heavily as she tried to regain her composure, failing miserably. Movement and shuffling on the bed began as warm hands wrapped around her.

'Was it that dream again?' he asked slowly as one hand-held Vida tightly to his side while the other stroked her hair, which turned a bit longer now.

'I-it is', Vida replied quietly, 'I miss her so much', her voice betrayed her as she looked down at her knees.

'Mommy?' came a small voice.

A little girl, who wouldn't older than 3 years appeared at the door frame, holding her blue teddy bear dearly to her heart. Her prominent orbs looked questioningly at her mother; worry consumes her.

'Bea' chimed Vida slowly, 'come here sweetheart' her arms open as the little girl, who was now named Bea obliged sweetly, engulfed in her arms.

'Are you okay mommy?' asked the small girl.

'I'm okay dear,' she replied sweetly, 'go back to sleep B,' Vida ran her hands through her dark brown hair.

'Can you tuck me in?' asked Bea, her adoring brown eyes sparked a bit. Vida couldn't resist that look, she immediately picked her up and went to her blue-ish room.

Bea crawled inside her bed, Vida put the covers on top of her, looking at her small form as her eyes drifted shut a second later.

Vida sat beside her bed, staring at her admiringly. Maddie's smiling face surfaced her mind, her shy eyes, her bright smile. The picture in her mind, zoomed out a bit, as another person joined the image. Firm hands were hugging Maddie from behind, a face she knew so well, looking lovingly at her sister. Nick. His head was resting on Maddie's shoulder. They both looked happy. Content. In love.

Vida's eyes once again, this night, filled with tears. She took in her surroundings, taking deep breaths.

'How will I tell you, my dear Bea, that you resemble your parents too much?' she whispered quietly.

'We will tell her', whispered a voice behind her, 'together'.

'S-she has Maddie's kindness and Nick's d-determination, and not to mention their looks', Vida mumbled as choked on her own tears, she hurried out of the room, trying to avoid waking up Bea.

'How will I tell her t-that her parents to died to p-protect us?' Vida stammered aloud, now out of Bea's hearing range.

As Vida's husband trailed behind her to the corridor, Vida slid to the ground, her back to the wall, hugging her knees tightly as she sobbed quietly, mourning the loss of her sister, her boyfriend, and the life they could have had together.

A/N: Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for reading! I'll probably turn to this to multi-chap story so stick around hehe.

I recently rewatched Mystic Force and honestly I missed MaddiexNick so much, so here I am (I haven't watched the final again so that's why the Master's scene was a bit OOC?)

I hope you liked it so far.

See you :)
