Chapter 02
Transformation
Fuyuki Church, Night
Inside the church that was look very dark and dim from the lack of light, there was stand a single person around the church podium.
He's an old man with a shoulder-lenght white hair and wear a black suit adorned with purple scarf with cross symbol at both end. He also wear golden-cross necklace, indicating that he was a church priest. Despite his appearance, he has a calm expression on his face. This is the Head Priest of Fuyuki Church, Risei Kotomine.
He is suddenly being approach by a man with stern expression, who also wear black suit and golden-cross necklace. This man is Risei son and the Church Executor, Kirei.
"Father, may i have a second to talk ?" said Kirei, addresing to his parent.
"Ahhh, Kirei. Is there something wrong ?" replied Risei.
"Yes, Father. Actually, i just want confirm something."
"What is it ?"
"How did you gonna make the other Servants and Masters unite in our effort to eradicate Caster and his Master ?" asked Kirei.
"Hmm, don't worry, there is one way that i thought will work." said Risei pointing at his arm.
"Wait, don't tell me...".
"Yes, this is what i mean." Risei then roll up the sleeves of his clothes, revealing multiple red mark-tatoo covering his right arm. "I will granted them one of the Command Seal to the individual that succeed in defeating Caster."
Kirei were surprise, to see that his father, the one that was pointed as the current overseer, go to such lenght as sacrificing his precious Command Spell "Does Tokiomi know about this ?"
"Yes, he knew. And only him, until you asked me before."
After that short explanation, Risei then unroll his clothes so the Command Spell were unseen "Is that all you want to ask, Kirei ?"
Kirei shook his head, implying that there still more "No, there is actually one information that i recently received from Assassin, and i think you should be informed about this."
"What is it ?"
"It looks like Caster shenanigans managed to gain attention from military, probably JSDF."
Risei were quiet shock from this report, since he think only the local police that involved, thus make it easy for him to covered the incident latter. But the country military were something he didn't expect. Was Caster action really very dangerous or there is another factor, Risei can't say for sure. "To think that even government hear about this, they go this far. Then where are they ?"
"It look like they're gather in special headquarter provided by Fuyuki Police Department." Kirei said while pointing to where the location is. "They said that the position were inside the forest.".
Risei the pondering about the location of where military were from Kirei information. "Hmmm, another factor that we must take considerate about our decision in the future."
"What should we do about them ?"
"We're gonna do as plan, that mean let another Master and Servant deal with Caster. However, should the military managed to get in the way, i want your Servant to deal with them." Risei answered.
"You mean non-lethally, right ?"
"Of course. No blood-spilling, because they're with Ministry of Defense, which mean that if we're not careful, Magecraft and it secret will be used by someone with bad purpose and they will get away with it." Risei answered, explaining the reason to Kirei.
"Understood, Father." replied Kirei before he continue."That's all i wanted to confirm. Please excuse me."
"Mmhhmm, well then, good night, Kirei."
As Kirei bow to the Head Priest and leave the room, Risei start to ponder about this new situation.
"I never thought that Military even was here. I need to prepare any counter measure that will make sure magecraft will not founded by them." said Risei to himself before he leave the podium to preparing his plan and countermeasure.
Hoshikawa Air Tour Services, Morning
After retiring from the Air Forces and devoting his time to his family, especially his son, Shunichi Maki managed to get a job at Air Tour Services, utilizing his piloting skills at use at this new job. After doing another rounds with his Cessna, Shunichi finally landed at his post along with his passenger. He later got called by his boss, Manjime, not long after he finished the rounds.
"Boss, the passenger has left just now."
"Oh, thank you for the hard work."replied the boss, Manjime, before he continue."So, how your work today ?Any difficulties ?".
"Not really, actually i'm already getting used to it, thank to you." answered Shunichi.
"I see, good for you then."
He then gesture his to the chair at his office so he and Shunichi can talk more comfortably.
"It's all thank to you, President Manjime. Because of you, i managed to use my skill in piloting planes again even after retiring." "I also follow your word advice to the heart 'Make sure you care for the safety of the passenger'.".
"Well, i mean, piloting a jet fighter and cessna are two different thing, right ? There is no sudden turn and loud voice when you speed up. In my opinion, it's rather monotonous and boring compare to jet fighter."
"I don't think it was monotonous at all. Each day i can see new face of my passenger and interact with them. Compare to when i was all alone on jet fighter, everyday was full of surprise for me now."
"I see, well then i hope you're ready for another surprise." this word make Shunichi rose his eyebrow from confusion. "You're family will come today."
"Really!?" said Shunichi with surprised expression.
"Because today your schedule only a short flight in afternoon, you can return by 3 P.M. After that you can take your family fly." said Manjime before he handing the schedule to Shunichi.
"But President-"
"Actually, your flight plan has been approved right now. Consider it as my early birthday present to your son."
With a delightful expression, Shunichi replied the sentiment with a little bow and happy smile. "Thank you very much, President".
Later, in afternoon, Shunichi family has come and greet him at landing area. After a brief conversation, Shunichi ready to fly his cessna for the last short flight.
"Papa, have a safe trip." said Tsugumu while he waving hand at Shunichi, followed by Yoko.
Shunichi then wave back at them, then followed by thumb up gesture before he take on the plane. Once inside the plane, Shunichi prepare his comm device and greet his passenger.
"Sorry to keep you waiting. I'm Maki from Hoshikawa Air Tour." greet Shunichi to his passenger, who is revealed to be Mizuhara. She is wearing black clothing in effort to disguise as reporter. She then tip her hat and nod back at Shunichi greeting.
Shunichi then take off his plane to sky. Later, when plane was fly at the coast, he start another conversation with Mizuhara.
"You're working as reporter, right ? Luckily today we have clear sky and no fog in the front, so when you find anything that you take interest, give me the signal." said Shunichi to Mizuhara.
"Actually, the one take i take interest right now is...you. Liutenant Shunichi Maki." said Mizuhara in calm tone, which make Shunichi eyes wide open from surprise.
With that revelation of someone know of his military background, Shunichi turn his head around to asked Mizuhara.
"How did you know that !?"
Suddenly, a military helicopter fly beside Shunichi plane. The pilot then gesture his hand to Shunichi to follow him.
"That was military chopper. What happening here ?"
"If you want the answer, then you must follow that chopper. You know what happen if you against military order, right ?".
With heavy reluctance, Shunichi follow her advice and fly behind the chopper.
"Could you at least tell me, where we heading now ?".
"The destination was around 12 km from here. We're landed on Ryuga-Misaki border."
"Wait a second, there's no runway for me to land there."
"There is, a highway that we blocked for 1 km so you can land."
"They even planning to this point ? Why the military go this far for me ?"
"Because we're cannot wait any longer. It will be too late if we don't bring you now."
Later, after their conversation over for some time and he keep flying the plane, Shunichi the see the highway that Mizuhara mention. He see the battalion of soldier and police blocking the highway with metal fences and their vehicle.
Shunichi position himself to properly landed his plane. After he landed, Mizuhara brought him to one of military jeep to be brought to unknown place.
On the way to the unknown place, a commander who accompanied Shunichi and Mizuhara start the conversation.
"We are from the organization called BCST." said the commander to Shunichi before he continued "We are the government secret anti-bio terrorism organization that working in tandem with U.S. Special Forces."
"I can't believe it. A national secret organization were the one who doing this-"
"If they go this far, that means the situation is extreme emergency." said Mizuhara cutting Shunichi conversation.
Shunichi then counter her "And you are... ?"
"I'm one of BCST head scientist, and the planner for this little act, Sara Mizuhara. Nice to meet you." said Mizuhara in calm tone while presenting her ID card.
Then they're waiting for hours before finally they enter a way to forest that empty and can't be seen by pedestrian.
After a minute or so, they finally reach their destination which is an abandoned military headquarter that was being guard by multiple soldier.
"This place doesn't look too good for military headquarter." commented Shunichi.
"We managed to secure this place and full authorization from Fuyuki Police Department. But to say this place doesn't look good is understandable, since this place was in deep forest far from city."
"Wait, Fuyuki !? You're mean we're in Fuyuki City right now ?"
"Yes, we are. Everything will be explain inside. Man, escort him to the meeting room" order the commander to his soldier to which they guide Shunichi to the headquarter.
Once they inside the room, the soldier gesture him to chair so he will sit down. Commander and Mizuhara soon follow, before they explain everything they know to him.
"Around three months ago, we got an report about unidentified flying object fall into Pacific Ocean." Mizuhara start explaining while preparing the computer. "We send our Navi team to investigate it, but one of its submarine suddenly disappeared."
Mizuhara then show him a picture of yellow submarine being lifted from the sea with container ship. The submarine is destroyed with the front part missing.
"While we managed to found it, the condition was become what you see right now. The only one who survived in this submarine is the operator, named Udo." Mizuhara then show the picture of the man named Udo, which is pictured in his military uniform. "He testified that he see an unknown blue-colored luminous body of sphere destroyed the boat."
"A blue...luminous...sphere !?"
"Sound familiar, right ? This incident are the same with one other that involving you, because it connected to what we're believe as extraterrestrials."
"You mean...aliens ? That nonsense. This isn't somekind of Sci-fi story, this is reality."
"Mizuhara, show him that picture." ordered the commander.
"Right."
Mizuhara then prepare some picture to present it to Shunichi. The first is the picture of Udo in his official uniform.
"After we testified Udo, we put him to the lab for health inspection. But a week after we do that, this is what happen to him." said Mizuhara while she showed him another picture and place it beside Udo's.
Shunichi shock after he see the second picture. It depicted a man believed to be Udo, but his face is filled with spike and the shape of his skull and teeth greatly altered that make it resembled more to animal. Simply put, he look like a monster.
"What the... Could it be ?"
"We concluded that his body has contained luminous sphere, but it presence has altered his appereance to genetical level, to the point he become like this."Mizuhara then close picture from the picture. "And then, he break out, from the lab."
"Break out ? You mean he escaped ?"
"Somehow from the mutation of it he managed to gain an ability to absorb lizard around building, transform his physical, and use it ability to escaped from facility." said the commander while he played a video from monitor.
The video contained the image of the room from CCTV that played the moment Transformed-Udo climb the wall, break the light, trick the guard, and then devoured him alived before he break through the confinement.
"He transform into a monster by taking the lives of other lifeform, and we believe that terrible monster is the one that responsible for the recent murder-spree reported on tv." Mizuhara explained. "We're take the responsibility of this mistake, and we don't want to make the same mistake for second time."
"The same mistake ? Could it be that i will...!?"
"We don't know for sure, but compare to Udo, your case were bit more slower. It better safe than sorry before you hurt your friend or family." said commander
While he tried to compose himself from sudden information, Shunichi suddenly get bombarded with multiple image in his head. He see the vision of Udo, in his monster state, slaughtering multiple soldier through the dark alley. After the effect were over, he suddenly fall ftom the chair and struggle to stand before he hold the table to balance himself.
"What happened ?"
"I...i see Udo. He...killed...all of them. The soldier...they're slaughtered. He like a...Beast, an wild animal."
"Mizuhara, is this..."
"Shared Vision, he is forced to see what Udo has done. His synchronization level must be high."
"Wait..., what do you mean by that ?"
"You managed to see what Udo has done, there is a chance that you are already developed at early stage."
"Developed ? You mean i will end up like him !? Am i going to become monster !?"
"We don't know if you will ended up like him, but you can't deny the truth that you are not normal human anymore. The One is the proof of it."
"The One ?"
"It's the codename that we apply for the light that infected Udo, and turn him into the monster that we see today."
"Then what about me ? Do you will still call my name or give me a code like him ?"
"Currently, you won't be treated like that, ex-liutenant. However the light that infected you get a different name. 'The Next' was it assign name." Mizuhara clarified to him.
"Then what will happen to me ? Are you gonna kill me because i was have that light ?"
"No, we won't kill you. We speculated that you will be his next target since you had the same light." assured the commander, before he continue. "We will keep you under the safe bunker, lure him into the base and kill him immediately."
"You want me to become a bait ?"
"Unfortunately, yes. Your light early stage development will attract him because of it nature. We don't have any other choice."
"Is this will stop him for good ?"
"Yes, we sure of it."
With reluctance and worried feeling fill his heart, Shunichi give the answer to the commander. "Alright, i will do it."
"Thank you for your cooperation. Man, guide him to the bunker."
Shunichi then raise himself from the chair and walk to the soldier that will guide him to bunker. But then he realized something and then turn around to the comander.
"Wait what about my family ? I still don't tell them that i was alright."
"Captain Kurashima was already on the way with your plane to your family. He will assure them about your situation without revealing anything."
"Kurashima !? He knew ?"
"We tell him specifically because you two are former comrade. I believe he takes priority to keep your family save."
Shunichi then silently nod to the commander for the information.
"Anything else ?"
"No, that's all i want to ask."
"Alright, with this we'll officially begin the operation. May the god bless us in this battle."
With that declaration, every personnel, including Mizuhara, who return to the computer base, are all return to their post, including two soldiers who guiding Shunichi to the bunker.
Headquarters, Warehouse
They later enter a big warehouse that was already emptied, leaving only one metal door in the middle of the warehouse that lead to the underground bunker.
"So this warehouse will be the battlefield for your team to fight The One ?" ask Shunichi to one of the soldiers.
"Exactly, with this big and wide warehouse that formerly use to place heavy artillerly like tanks and jets, and the door bunker place in the middle."
"He will get lure instantly by you and get ambush immediately without a wall for him to climb and hide." answer another soldier.
The two soldier then begin open door to the underground bunker and gesture Shunichi to go inside.
"But then how did you gonna kill him, when even artillery like machine gun doesn't effect on it ?"
"Prof. Mizuhara present all of us with new weapon today. Here." said soldier(A) while gesturing his hand to the magazine in his side.
"She said this bullet are specifically made by the sample of The One skin, so it will definitely blast him without mercy." before long, they realize they're already in front of the room. "Oh, we're here"
The soldier then open the bunker door and then Shunichi goes inside of it. The room were plain with only long chair on the side.
"Once everything over, we're letting you out, okay ?"
"If you need anything, just talk to the speaker and CCTV camera over there. It will connected to the command center." said soldier while pointing to the upper side of the wall.
"Okay."
And with that, the soldier start leaving Shunichi inside the bunker and close the door with lock. Shunichi, who still tired and shock from this sudden revelation, choose to sit on chair with his back slouch to the wall to rest himself. Around a minute after he rest, the speaker on the wall start to make sound.
Headquarter, Control Room
"How's your feeling, liutenant ?"
"Still tired, but i have calmed down now." "How is your team ? Did they already start to fight ?"
"Not yet, The One doesn't detected in our vicinity so my soldier still on guard."
"I see." sighed Shunichi as he started to lay his body on the long chair. However, suddenly he fell from chair and held his head in pained expression.
"Ghhhh...aaaaahhhhh..".
"Liutenant, what's wrong ?"
"Gghhhghh...he's...here...in...the...forest."
"Is that another vision ? Did he predicted The One will coming ?"
"Commander, look." said the soldier that work in control room monitor.
"What is it ?"
"The sensor we set, is activating. The One position is sighted in Block A3."
"This is not vision, it's the sense enhancement. He see The One vision directly this time." Mizuhara clarified to the commander.
"Target is steadily approaching trap point."
"Mizuhara." the commander turn to Mizuhara. "The time has come, i'm counting on you."
"Yes, Sir." said Mizuhara before she salute to commander and leave to join the soldier im front line.
"To all of unit captain, the target is approaching trap point. Prepare your unit to against The One. Squad 1 and 2, spread to your battle position. Squad 3, prepare on stand-by." order the commander through the microphone.
"Alright, it's time. Everybody go to battle position and don't forget anything important. Especially those special bullets."
With that order from the captain unit of each squad, every soldier in headquarter then begin run to their position and prepare their weapon, which is mostly machine-gun.
Meanwhile, Mizuhara approach one of the captain unit to join with the squad.
"How your preparation ?"
"We're ready to go, ma'am."
"And all of your soldiers ? They won't be scared like last time, right ?"
"This time we're prepared for that monster, unlike last time."
"Good."
"Can i confirm something first ?" the Captain asked.
"What is it ?"
"The bullet that you give to all of us, it will definitely get rid of him for good, right ?" said captain while presenting her one of the bullet from his hand gun.
"We're already confirmed its capability through multiple test. It will kill him, 100% for sure." reply Mizuhara.
"Good, that answer will ease us." said the captain before he put bullet back to his gun.
Mizuhara then join the captain to his position which is the upper side of the warehouse.
Headquarters, Bunker
Meanwhile, Shunichi, who was managed to stand up again after the recent vision, begin to panicked once The One is closer to his place.
"He's closer, he wanted to kill me. But how ?"
But before he can think, Shunichi is suddenly bombarded again by headache and another vision, but this time the image are different.
He didn't see The One, but instead, he see two individual standing in forest. One is the Caster and the other is a blonde girl wearing blue dress covered in armor. They're being surrounded by multiple creatures with tentacles before Caster pointing them to the blonde girl. She struggled when the creature start to esnare her, but then she was saved a man in green who wielding two spear.
Shunichi return to his conscious when the vision is over.
"Wh-what is that ?" said Shunichi while trying to compose himself. "That wasn't The One, who is this people, and what is that creature i see ?" Shunichi start to ponder before he sit on the ground.
"Liutenant, are you still with us ?"
"Y-yes, i still can here you."
"Good, in a moment we will start the operation, so please control yourself."
"I-i'll try."
Back to Warehouse
Not long after the order, all of the soldier has been post in their position around the warehouse.
"The target start closing to the trap point."
"All unit, prepare to fire."
With that order, all soldier prepare their gun in shooting position. Not long after, The One walk to the warehouse, following his instinct. But when he realise that he been covered by soldiers, he didn't care and instead keep walking to the bunker door while growling like wild animal. All soldiers feel anxious but not showing it in their face. Once he close to the door, he take a glance at the upperside and Mizuhara there. Mizuhara glare back at the creature before he gesture the captain on her side to fire. He nod and then..
"FIRE!."
All of the soldiers fire their whole bullets of machine gun to the creature without stopping. The bullet pass through his skin and start taking effect when he's bleeding from all wound. Around 20 second they keep firing before the captain gesturing his man to stop shooting, and then the monster fall down to the floor.
Once the captain see The One fall, he order his man to activate the warehouse light.
"Turn on the light."
The soldier then see the body of The One lying down in front of bunker door, bleeding. Majority of them thinking that the operation was success. But Mizuhara see a weird movement from the body. In the instant, she see his eyes open back.
"Oh, no."
Suddenly, The One stand up back from his pool of blood and growling back at all the soldiers that shot him. Every soldier in vicinity surprise at this situation, including captain, Mizuhara, and commander in control room.
"What the hell !? What is the meaning of this ?"
"Probably his immunity level against poison has been increasing." said Mizuhara while still shocked. "The One evolution is progressing much faster, compare to what were predict."
Not long after Mizuhara explanation, The One start to show a weird movement. His body suddenly glowing with blue light while he roar with a beast voice very loudly. What happen next is thing everybody didn't expect to happen.
A multitude of little lizard come out from their hiding place and run toward The One. When they landed on his body, he absorbed them like a sponge. After that, all of the wound that was on his body start closing and heal on its own. Even after his body start back to normal, The One doesn't stop screaming but instead, he increase the volume of his voice to the point that the voice start having the painful effect to all of soldier on the warehouse.
"Gahh, my ears."
"Somebody shoot him. Make it stop."
"I can't. My body too numb to move."
While every soldier have the same reaction, the captain and Mizuhara try to fight it nonetheless. Yet because they were also humans, when they try to fight by using the machine gun they got from the fallen soldier, all of their bullet miss because the pain on their body messing with their holding and aim.
After the seconds this keep happening, suddenly the warehouse entrace are broke because it was invaded by the tentacles creature from Shunichi vision.
Bunker
While trying to close his ears to prevent the scream, Shunichi got another quick vision that show the situation upward.
"What, why is that creature here ?" said Shunichi while he still holding both of his ears close. "Could it be, they called here by this scream ?"
"This isn't good. I need to get out right now." "SOMEBODY, ANYBODY, OPEN THE DOOR." "HEEYYY, OPEN THE DOOR!!!! OOOOIIII SOMEBODY ANSWER ME. OPEN THE DOOR!!!!!."
Control Room
The situation in the control room are no different, all of the personnel fall on the floor because of the scream, including commander.
"ALL UNIT, GIVE ME THE STATUS REPORT" order the commander in loud voice while trying to stand up from the floor.
"YES SIR." replied one personnel who is still conscious. He try check on the monitor. "SIR, WE GOT A BREACH. SOME KIND OF BLACK CREATURE WITH TENTACLES ARE COME FROM THE ENTRANCES."
"WHAT !?"
"THEY WALKED STRAIGHT TO THE ONE !"
"Oh no, if this is what i think it is..., then we're in deep trouble." thought commander realizing the purpose that black creature here.
With the scream continuing, the black creatures keep advancing and when they close enough, they start latch onto The One. Just like with the lizard, he start absorbing them into his body. But because the size and quantity of them are much larger than the lizard, by the time he finished absorbing them, his body mutate into some kind of flesh blob that resemble cocoon.
The scream stop and the soldier managed to stand up again, but not long after they hear the sound of explosion come from flesh cocoon. When they see what happened in there, all of them can only gasped at the nightmare that appear in from of them.
From the flesh cocoon comes out The One, but with some of his skin color turns into blue, his arms turns into pair of claws, and his face gaining more bestial appeareance that make him look more monstrous. But the one that make his appeareance more shocking is not only come from this alteration. His full height also increase from the size of human to size that almost reach the ceiling of this warehouse, around 10 meters at max.
The soldiers that was in the front line were shaking in their feet when The One leaning on them. They choose to run from their post, but The One swing his tail on them that make them crash onto the wall.
"RETREAT. EVERYBODY RETREAT, NOW!"
order the captain to every soldier in vicinity.
With that order, every soldier start to run and evacuate from their post, while the captain itself take Mizuhara from the warehouse. When both of them run to the open area, The One use his tail and smash the captain right in front of Mizuhara. With the monster right in front of her, Mizuhara begin to step back with fear consuming her. The One start leaning on her but before he can strike her, a person scream at him with a loud voice.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, YOU VILE CREATURE !?"
The voice can be traced to the individual in the other side of warehouse, which is revealed to be Caster. The One take a glance to look where the voice come from. With that distraction, Mizuhara take the chance and run away from The One and hide behind the pillar of warehouse.
"I must admit that you're power and look are quite fascinating compare to my Horrors, BUT YOU CAN'T TAKE THE THING THAT I MAKE FROM A HARDWORK THAT EASILY LIKE YOU TAKE A CANDY FROM A BABY, THAT'S RUIN MY CHANCE TO IMPRESSED MY SAINT." rant the Caster at The One without caring the glare that he receive from the monster.
"Whatever, maybe i can use you as a replacement for the horrors that you eat." said Caster as he open the book and speak the language that was foreign in human ears. When it happen, six black portal appear from behind Caster and from there black gigantic tentacles shot forward to The One.
"You're...in my way... i will...kill you."
The One face towards Caster with his claws open and slash the tentacles that was targeted to him. The tentacles then dissapeared after being tore apart along with the black portal. Caster then prepared another spell to do his magic, but unaware to him, The One use this moment to counterattack him.
Instead of using his claw or his tail to attack, this time The One do something that surprised both Caster and Mizuhara who's been hiding in the pillar. He charged a blue energy from his mouth, and the shoot it toward Caster as a blue-colored fireball. Too late to realise the attack, Caster take a full brunt of the fireball that was result in explosion in his place, leaving nothing of body remain in its place.
This event make Mizuhara far more scared than before, because she just see The One destroyed a mysterious man that has an ability to call giant tentacles from the void. Conquer by fear, Mizuhara choose to run behind the pillar to escape from The One. Not long after, The One managed to sense Mizuhara and chase her by breaking all the pillar she passed.
On the other side of warehouse, a pair of individual appear from the second door. They both are the person that Shunichi see in his vision, with the blond girl in blue dress and silver armor and the green man wielding a pair of spear.
"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!" shout the blonde girl in armor. Her voice catch the attention of The One. "I don't know what kind of monster are you or where did you come from, but i won't tolerate innocent be killed in my presence tonight.".
"As she say." replied the man in green. "We're supposed to deal with Caster and his summon, but instead he was killed by you and then we saw that girl were about to become your food, and as the knight we can't let it aslide."
While The One inspect who is this two that get in his way, Mizuhara take this chance and go to another side of pillar, far from The One and the two individual that occupied him.
"I know Caster is gone, but what about an extension for our truce, Lancer, until this monster is gone ?" said the blonde girl, who refers the man in green as Lancer.
"I accepted it, Saber. Beside, saving damsel in distress and slaying giant monster, that two were my bread and butter as a knight and warrior." replied Lancer, who in turn refers to the blonde girls as Saber.
The One then roar to the two of them and slowly walk to the direction of the two warrior.
"Looks like we get its attention. Are you ready, Lancer ?" asked Saber, while preparing her battle stance to charge forward
"Anytime you want, Saber." replied Lancer, also readying his battle position.
With The One last roar, he charge forward to the two warrior.
"NOW." shout Saber, signaling both her and Lancer to dash forward to attack The One.
On the other hand, Mizuhara managed to sneak pass from the battle and arrive in the front of bunker door. She prepared to open the door to released Shunichi before she realized it was shaking furiously, alerting her to back up from the door. Not long after, the bunker door explode from the inside, releasing red light and a loud explosion noise while sending the metal door flying.
From the inside of the bunker, comes out Shunichi who look very tired from breaking the metal door.
"You. You're save !?" said Shunichi in surprise tone. "Thank goodness. I thought you're already..."
"Liutenant, what are you doing here ? Why did you break out from the safe ?"
"I sensed something dangerous, that why i want check what is happen-." Shunichi cut himself when he see The One run toward him. "Oh no, run."
"RRRAAAARRRR~"
Saber and Lancer, who managed to recover from the damaged given by The One, see the monster now run toward Mizuhara and Shunichi.
"Oh no, the civilians!" Saber tried to stand, but her curse injuries from her previous battle with Lancer start acting up. "Ghh, my arm."
"Its okay Saber. Let me handle this." said Lancer while preparing his twin spear. "HHAAHHH!!!"
Lancer then shot himself forward to The One direction with enhanced speed, but The One realise it faster and then bombard Lancer with multiple fireball from his mouth at his direction.
Lancer managed to avoided all of them thanks to his speed and using the two spears to block the the shot that he cannot avoid.
"Alright, now our chance." said Shunichi, advising Mizuhara to run. Suddenly, his instinct flares up and sense the danger coming "GET DOWN!!".
"Wha-!?" without warning, Shunichi push Mizuhara out of the way of the danger, which is revealed to be The One tail slamming his body flying.
Lancer realise that Shunichi body were fly toward him, ready to hit him. He dematerialized his twin spear to use his arms to catch Shunichi but unfortunately, he underestimated The One power and get send toward the wall where it close to Saber. Lancer managed to cushion Shunichi body from the impact, but he still surprised at how much power The One use at him.
"Ghh" Lancer stand while letting the unconscious Shunichi rest on floor "Darn it, i can't believe he dare to do something like that."
"I must admit, that monster have more intelligence compare to Caster familiar." said Saber.
Suddenly, Shunichi regain his consciouness again and stand up from the floor. But something was not right and he feel pain all over his body, he start screaming and his body began to glow with blue-ish light.
"UUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
"What the-what is happening ?" asked Saber
"Back up, Saber. This man, he is not an ordinary person." Lancer warned to Saber.
The glow on Shunichi body managed to gain the attention of both The One and Mizuhara. And by the time they see what happened, another light, this time red-colored, appear and exploded in front of Shunichi while it become a red line that running and covered his body like a body marking, making the previous glow on his body become brighter.
"GHHH--AAAAAA--AAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
"It can't be, he start transforming now !?" said Mizuhara in shock expression.
When the light completely engulf him, Shunichi body start growing bigger while at same time, his appereance began to change. By the time he stop growing and the light begin to diminish, everyone was stunted at his current appereance, including Saber and Lancer.
Instead of Shunichi, what appear in from of them was a giant, a humanoid giant, stand around the same height as The One. His body muscle is grey-colored while his body also has the multitude silver skin-like armor covering it. His face also covered in the same silver armor while also making a stoic human expression and has pair of oval-shaped eyes that glow with yellow light. Lastly, his most prominent feature is a giant red crystal, shaped like a stylish Y symbol, embeded on his chest.
Everyone expression regarding the giant appereance were different. Mizuhara were shocked, but not because of the transformation. She expected he will transform into the same monster like The One, but what she didn't expected was that the transformed state was a completely different alien, and one that still resemble human.
Saber and Lancer were also shocked, because they were not expecting that a ordinary human that were randomly throw at them managed to transform into a being that they never see in their whole life. They still confused from Caster loss and the battle against The One, so with another unknown being appear in from of them, the best they can do is to ask each other about this situation.
"Lancer, do you know what kind of giant that appear in front of us ?" ask Saber.
"I... don't know. Not even the Holy Grail has any kind of information about this giant and that monster." replied Lancer.
And last was The One. He glared at the silver giant, menacingly. Sensing the presence of the giant energy, he realise that this giant will become a hindrance to his purpose later, so he choose that it will be better to destroy that hindrance right here, right now. He roar at the giant, which in return make giant realise The One presence.
Seeing the hostile reaction of The One, the giant then put a battle stance. When The One approach him, the giant do the same to counter it.
"SSHHHAAAACCCCHHH!!!!"
Greetings, i'm Beginner TransFate and i present to you the second chapter of FateZero: The One and The Next.
At first i was confused on how to related the next event with each other for this chapter, but after repeatedly watch the two stories, i chose to combine both aspect such as place and background, but the POV that i choose were with Ultraman side. It may take a very long time but now that i finish this chapter, i can focus on the next idea for the next chapter.
