Good morning, gang.

First off, I want to - once more - thank everyone for reading Crimson. It means a lot to me when people tell me they've read this story numerous times, and I always get a kick out of hearing from new readers. Your support and love for this story is something I will always treasure.

No. Relax. I'm not quitting Crimson. I know, I know, for a second, it must've seemed like it. Trust me, as I've said before, I have every intention of finishing this ridiculous story.

However, I need some time off from it for a while. You've probably noticed my update schedule has been sporadic. What chapters I have put up have been well received, but less than I believe I'm capable of. In truth, while it may be a stretch to say I'm phoning it in, I think I'm writing more for spectacle than story at this point, and it's hurting the overall the tale that could be told here.

Now that June is over and done with, I want to take some time to really meticuously plan out July and some of the other months. I want to write ahead, rather than try to reach an arbitrary deadline. I was to bring back some consistency and consequences and not just turn this into an 'Akira Torture Simulator 3000.'

What's more, as many of you know, I'll be a father soon. There's a lot of prep work that goes into that, lol. Between my job and studying for additional certifications, my time to write is sparse. I want to do this story justice, and that means I can't just write like a whirlwind whenever I get some free time. I need to slow down and reassess this.

I don't know when I'll be back. This isn't radio silence, as I'll still be on and Ao3 and Twitter. But for now, just know that while I won't be posting for a while, I'll still be thinking of and writing Crimson.

Thank you for all your support. It means the world to me.
