Chapter 1

Raylin heaved a low unsettling growl as she strode through the forest. Her fists shook at her side as boiling rage filled her insides. She wanted to kill her cousin Erina and her cousin's idiotic boyfriend of three weeks, Damien who she despised so passionately.

Damien was a lying, cheating snake. When her cousin started dating him Raylin knew there was something not right about him. Her cousin, Erina was just as naive as she was stupid. Any boy that fancied her and said they loved her was just her type. Rich, spoiled, bratty. Today Damien made a mistake of slapping Raylin's butt while she was walking past him in the kitchen. Sadly, her cousin was too busy washing the dishes to notice.

Raylin's patience and anger rose when Erina took her boyfriend's side.

It wasn't the first time the lying snake had come onto Raylin. The imbecile would give her flirty glances and winks, or intentionally brush his hands against hers whenever she was in close range. However, despite all that, Raylin quickly swallowed her wrath, and let it slide a couple of times, resisting the voice inside her head to attack and rip his head off. But this time Raylin had enough. She couldn't let this one go, and for retribution she'd kneed him in the groin, and sucker-punched him in the eye. The pathetic imbecile started sobbing, and Erina glared at Raylin, not even asking for an explanation.

Raylin had protected Erina since the day she was brought to this stupid town. And for her cousin to treat her like that, was unbelievable.

Too angry to notice where she was going, Raylin just let herself walk without care into the woods. Not caring about the ravenous wolves. The rattling snakes. The huge bloodthirsty bears. Or whatever that was out here with her.

A heady smell of salt whiffed through the air as the sound of ripples drifted into her ears. Up ahead there was a wide, sparkling river. She squinted and started rushing towards it. The feel of icy, dulling, coolness against her skin was what she needed to clear her mind. She was so angry. Everything she'd done for that girl was nothing like she'd ever done for anyone else. Erina was her beloved cousin, and Raylin saw her as a sister. They had gotten extremely close over the years, and Raylin thought their sisterly bond was like no other. She thought no one would come between them. But she was so wrong.

"That foolish girl!" Raylin yelled out into the breezy air.

She angrily glanced around the area and then quickly peeled off her clothes until she was naked and entered into the water. The coldness was uplifting. However, it didn't stop the emotions from attacking her head-on and the tears that rimmed her eyes.

Curse you, Erina!

A few bitter tears started rolling down her face. She hated crying. The reason she never cried at all. The reason she never let anyone in. She was always strong as a horse. Her emotions were always intact but now they were all over the place. She tried blinking back the unshed tears but they wouldn't disappear; they just kept coming.

How long had she cried?...oh right not since she was six. When the kids at her school and in her neighborhood would pull her hair, mock her for how weak she was, and call her names. But after years of being treated like dirt, and letting people run her down just because of the way she looked and the way she dressed she learned to fight her own battles.

Even if males had more rights than females. Raylin learned to not care. She was her own person; nobody could tell her otherwise.

Well, with the help of her father of course who taught her how to throw a punch, a strong kick, and how to bring an enemy down without showing pity. Her mother was a soft-hearted woman just like how she used to be, but thanks to her father who was an emotionless, cold-hearted man that only cared about two people in his life. Her and her mother. Thanks to him she became stronger and a duplicate of him as her uncle would remind her.

As she became stronger...one by one, she went after all the kids that made her childhood a living hell. By forcing her head down the toilet bowl, pushing her into the sewage, by giving her bruises on parts of her body that she covered by layers of clothes. To this day she still wore heavy clothes to hide her body since she hated the stares and most importantly the people.

Raylin had to constantly hide her body behind men's clothing. That was the only way she'd feel comfortable in the eyes of influencing males who took pleasure in humiliating women who challenged them. Who ripped away every confidence they had just to get the upper hand. It was truly sickening but that was the world she lived in. A world where women had no say in important matters. Where women were only good at breeding and playing housewives. Where girls had to be careful of what they said or they'd be judged unfairly and looked at differently.

But Raylin wanted to be more than just a woman who followed rules like a good puppy. No, Raylin wanted to be stronger, braver, and independent. Hell would have to freeze over for the day when a man would tell her what she could and couldn't do.

That man would have to have bigger balls than her pride.

Those kids that picked on her, she taught them a good lesson that would make them learn to never bully again. A lesson which was a bit much on her end but just remembering all the things they did to her filled her fuel and made her not stumble into guilt. Those bullies deserved what they got and she recorded every memory they did to her inside her heart so she'd remember not to care.

Forgive and forget was the most absurd term for growth. Getting even and getting stronger was more like it.

Of course, she respected her mother and her father but other than that she never really felt anything else than respect for them. Her father told her that love was a weakness, but he showered her mother with it every single day but not her. Her father was incredibly hard on her. Ever since she was young he never once babied her and whenever she'd cry he would walk away and scoff.

She never understood why he did that until she grew up, and learned to look people in the face and say you stupid fool!

Now, look at her feeling all emotional. She thought these sentiments had been buried deep inside her walls. But it seemed not anymore. They were now weighing heavily in her stomach, making her want to puke her guts out.

Her uncle and her cousin had made her feel again, and it sucked.

Tears wouldn't stop slipping out of her sockets. She wanted them to stop but they wouldn't. A low sob fled her lips as she dragged her hand across her eyes trying to wipe the useless tears away. But again they wouldn't stop and they continued to flood her.

Curse you, Erina!

She was so distracted by her emotions that she didn't hear anyone get in the water, or sneak up behind her for a cheap shot. Her body stiffened at the hard, solid torso against her back. A large hand wrapped around her neck as a low, cold voice hissed icily into her ear.

"Hello, love."

Raylin recognized that voice. It taunted her for three years. With knitted brows, she clenched her hands into tight fists. Dio's hold on her neck tightened; she sucked in whatever air she could get. Her hands grabbed at his to try and peel them off, but his iron grip was too strong. He was indeed going to kill her, and she knew this day would come. But she never expected it would be so soon, or at a place like this.

The boy behind her, or more like the man he was now, had been her enemy since she arrived six years ago in this town.

Dio Brando

If she hadn't been drenched by emotions she would have sensed that someone was watching her and sneaking an attack. It truly baffled her that there was no sound or movement whatsoever. Everything seemed so quiet, well...except for her soft weeping and the colorful birds chirping in the sky.

No doubt, Dio had gotten more devious over the past two years since their last encounter.

She could feel her neck was definitely as red as a tomato. As the veins on her temple and neck were now visible. He was squeezing the life out of her and it did suck to be attacked when one was nude and distracted.

With a desperate need for air, she gathered all her strength and drove her head back into his face but was disappointed to see that her blow had only touched his chin. Her head rolled back to take him in. What the hell! He had grown a foot taller than the last time she'd seen him. But his height wasn't the only thing that changed; he was also bigger.

Absolutely massive.

Her hit had angered him greatly by the way he had harshly yanked her around, his fingers digging into her throat but then he stopped and scowled. His grip around her throat loosen slightly as he glared at her face.

"I never would have thought my first day back would be seeing you cry. What's wrong, darling? You don't want to die? Was my hold on your neck too intense?"

Raylin bent her head and swallowed a lungful of air to capture her breath. Her eyes slowly veered up and landed on deceptively warm amber eyes. His head cocked to the side as his stare hardened, eyes shifting from her face, towards her bright red neck, across her collarbone and they just kept going down which made her arms wrap securely around her upper body. She was in the shallow part of the water which only covered her lower area but the rest of her, including her breasts, was barren.

Her face brightened and she could picture how her neck and cheeks were now a matching color. With an irked sigh, she looked away from his face and began to take in what he was wearing.

A tight yellow tank top that tugged well at his abs, outlining every muscle. Over it was a black jacket and since the water was covering most of his legs she could see the white chaps peeking out of the surface.

Raylin quickly avoided looking further down into the water. She lifted her head and noticed he was still glaring at her. However, there was a hint of amusement in his eyes, but it was short-lived and replaced by his usual cold and arrogant demeanor. He always wore a look that made him seem like he was better than everyone.

She hated that about him. Even though he was beaming hot with his body just as strapping as his face was but she knew just how much of a snake he was. How poisonous and evil he could be to get what he wanted. How he'd kill anyone who got in his way.

Just like how Raylin would get under his skin plenty of times, just as much as he got under hers. And how they both wanted to kill each other. But him more than her though, since he always sported a look that made him hungry for power and domination. A man's best trait and the thing she despised more than anything in the world.

"I wasn't crying because of you so you can stop flattering yourself," she finally spoke, wiping angrily at her face.

He gave a dark chuckle. "If it wasn't me then who? A boy? Did you get your little heart broken?" Mock laced his tone.

Raylin narrowed her eyes and curled her lips up.

"Oh, right I forgot you're not into boys," he added with another chuckle. "Was it your cousin?"

"Don't speak about my cousin! I will throttle you!"

"Throttle?" He snickered loudly, sending her a deceitful smirk. "What kind of throttling are we talking about?"

"You insolent fool! I was talking about wrapping my hands around your elephant neck!"

"How exciting," he sneered. "Very exciting."

His dark humor unsettled her. He had never thrown any sexual innuendos toward her before. This was all new and it was very unnerving.

"Cut it out! Weren't you just going to kill me? Or do you always play with your food, Dio?"

"No, not always," he said with a conniving smirk. "Not ones that look good enough to eat."

"What the hell is wrong with you!" She snapped with disgust. "Did daddy not teach you any manners?"

"Shut your mouth!"

There it was.

She shook her head and gave a heavy sigh. "You're still the same as when you left…lest I remind you how I had beaten you before you left town...do you remember?" She questioned. "Why don't you laugh about that?"

Without a word, his hand was back around her neck and he was squeezing her throat again.

"You got lucky," he spat.

"Lucky?" Her eyes brightened with irony as she smiled bitterly at him, biting down on her bottom lip. Was he right? Yes. She had been lucky.

Dio always insulted her whenever he got the chance but his hateful words never bothered her until two years ago when he insulted her deceased father.

"You're just as pathetic as your weakling of a father. You know...there's a reason why your parents are dead. It's because your father failed you and your mother. That's why you turned out just like him. Worthless. Pitiful," Dio had said.

She knew Dio was very spiteful when it came to his enemies, and for one he knew nothing about her family, or her father. For three years she had endured his neverending torment and disdain but finally, he had made her restrained composure crack by talking about her parents.

All she saw was flickering red as rapid anger filled her to the core. Everything happened so fast. She grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, drove her knee into his groin, and as he fell to his knees she hastily round kicked his head but it didn't stop there she just kept kicking him in the abdomen until she realized what she was doing and immediately stopped. If it wasn't for Erina and Jojo she would've been dead already. As soon as she stopped attacking Dio, he slowly stood to his feet, his breaths ragged, blood dripping from the edge of his mouth as he held his stomach. A disgruntled hiss fled from his mouth as he gave her a look that was enough to make anyone cower, but she didn't fear him one bit.

Nothing scared her.

So why was she provoking him now? She didn't know, perhaps she was seeking a death wish.

"Why are you smiling?" he growled.

"Why are you getting angry?" She growled back.

She knew she was pushing it but it was too late to stop now, and a little, tiny part of her wanted to see if his threats were as empty as his lies.

Again...pushing her luck.

"You're playing with fire, love." He yanked her towards him so they were face to face.

Oh, right I forgot you're not into boys, his previous words replayed in her head.

"I don't know why you're so interested in my preference...but if you must know, no, I'm not into girls or boys. I'm very much into men, and you Mr. Brando behave so much like a boy," she said.

Her eyes widened when he grabbed a fist full of the back of her long hair, bringing her face closer to his. Her body immediately stiffened at the way his eyes were now staring at her mouth. There was a hunger for dominance.

Oh, no! Why is he looking at me like that?!

Her eyes widened in dread as she pulled her face away. "Back off, Dio!"

She remembered how he had stolen her cousin's first kiss and had slapped her afterward. The assault had annoyed Raylin greatly. This was the first time she had shown emotion for anyone. That was the first week of living with her cousin and uncle. It was also the first day she made an enemy out of Dio Brando who had landed a few good blows on her body after she'd hit him.

He was a better fighter than she was. He was extra reckless and extremely selfish when bringing his enemy down. He fought with wrath and hatred. Just like she did, except she wasn't as heinous as he was.

"I remember when you punched me after I kissed your cousin. Your punch was pretty hard back then, but now I'm curious, would you like to try again?" he asked, leaning his head into her neck and sniffing her. "You smell so good."

Raylin clutched his massive biceps and tried to shove him away but he didn't budge. He was too masculine. Too strong. "Dio! Back off!"

His arms flexed as her hands slid up his arms, causing her to quickly let go of him.

His amber orbs darkened. "Well, well, well..." He drew his head back and lowered his eyes to her collarbone and as his hot gaze drifted down her bare chest, her cheeks flushed in shame. "You sure have changed," he whispered huskily.

Raylin hissed and brought her arms back up to cover her chest but his hands were quick to seize hers as he bound them behind her back. She didn't want him looking at her breast so the only thing she could think of was to press her body against his rock, solid chest. She felt every muscle of him against her but it was not as distracting as his gorgeous face. She already knew how bad things looked but it was way better than him taking her in like a predator.

He tensed up as his eyes met hers again. "What are you doing, love?"

"Stop looking at me!" She yelled.

"Can you blame me? You look delightful." His massive arms wrapped around her curvy hips as he tugged her much closer to him so that she could feel his long hardness against her stomach.

"What is that?! Goddamn it Dio, just kill me already!" She growled. "You've waited two years so do it!" She could feel him. All of him pressing against her abdomen.

He was aroused.

"Tempting, but I don't want to kill you...yet." He trailed his nose along her neck, and across the areas, he had rigorously crushed.

"Dio," she groaned angrily as he thrust his hips against her abdomen.

"Say it again," he muttered against her skin. "Say my name again."

No! He needs to stop!

"Kill me!" She groaned louder, closing her eyes as his thrust became overwhelming. "Stop this and just kill me!"

"Don't worry love, I will, but first…I want to murder something else first," he whispered hoarsely.

Raylin hadn't moved a muscle since feeling his manhood that was cocooned in his tight pants, moving against her abdomen but as he said those lewd words she bit her lips hard drawing blood. She could taste the bitterness on her tongue. "I'd rather die!"

"Just this once, love. Let me feel you."

"Dio…" she groaned, resting her cheek on the side of his blonde hair that had grown longer. "Let go of my hands now!"

He sighed and surprisingly did as she said.

Before she could stop herself, red boiling anger filled her to the core as she clenched her fist and threw it against his face. She knew he would be too distracted to do anything with the way his hips were moving vigorously against her.

His head whipped backward as fatal silence filled the air. She brought her arms around her body as she shivered at the way his body shook visibly. His head slowly turned to her. His eyes narrowed into slits, eying her with a murderous scowl.

She bared her teeth and glared back at him. "You lewd mongrel! How dare you. Ever since I've met you all you've done is threaten to kill me, and now you want to feel me? There's something terribly wrong with your head! Your touch sickens me. You want to know why!... I can still remember how you beat me until I went unconscious. And we had only just met!"

He sighed deeply. "Come on, love. You hit me first and I thought you were a boy."

"And I thought you were a forceful, violent psychopath…" Then she paused and glared up at him. "Oh right, you still are! What can I say?...you learned from the best. Once a monster, always a monster!"

An angry, violent growl erupted from Dio's chest as he lunged at her, plucking her by the neck with one hand. He jerked her body back to him. "Don't provoke me, darling! You know very well that I will not hesitate to rip your throat out," he snarled into her face, squeezing her long supple neck

"I'm sick of your stupid threats," she spat as she squinted her eyes. "Go on then, kill me! Rip my throat out like you said!"

They held each other's hostile glare, both their bodies shuddering. As she started to close her eyes he dropped his hand. She grimaced with confusion and opened her eyes again, staring up into his wild ones.

"What do you want from me?" She screamed against his lips. "All you've done since I got to this stupid town is torment me. I've seen how brutal and scary you get, but it doesn't bother me. What bothers me is having you push your thing against me! Violating me just like how you violated my cousin! Do you have any ounce of respect! Might I remind you, you took Erina's first kiss then you slapped her. You really think I'd just stand there and watch you assault her!? I punched you because a self-righteous prick like you deserved it! You even beat me bloody. But no it didn't end there. You decided to make my life a living hell after that day." She drew an angry breath, her eyes burning blades into his face. "And before you left town you threatened me to sleep with one eye open. You said you'd kill me when you get back and guess what I've been doing for the past two years?! Waiting for the day you return so you can put me out of my goddamn misery. But now you want to take my dignity as well! Go to hell!"

For a second he looked like he was in doubt, "you're not a virgin are you?..." he emitted.

"That's none of your business! But if I was, I would not let you take that away from me just because you want to ruin me!"

Dio blinked in awe but then his lips pulled into a smug smile as his hand started massaging her throat. "So you are. Well, it pleases me to know that no one has touched you. It pleases me very much," he soothed into her hair. Whatever anger he had was now gone and replaced by thirst.

Did he hear a word I just said! This son of a bastard.

One hand slid across her shoulder, between the crook of her armpit, down the side of her breast, and he kept going lower until he stopped at her waist. He rubbed circles around her hip and leaned his forehead into her cheek. His lips grazed her jawline.

"Dio!" She growled, squeezing his hand that wouldn't move from her waist.

He chuckled and lifted her with one arm, throwing her naked body over his wide shoulder. His arm wrapped around the back of her thighs.

She squealed as his hand palmed her butt cheek.

"You lewd bastard!" She yelled furiously as she struggled against him. Hitting his backside with her fist did no good, as well as her screams fell on deaf ears.

She knew then that she was completely and utterly trapped. His strength was beyond hers.

He sauntered out of the water with long strides.

She watched him move past her clothes that were on top of a rock. Her eyes widened as panic filled her. She didn't want anyone to see her naked. And she knew the type of man Dio was. He would no doubt expose her just to humiliate her. The worse case was he somehow knew she was a virgin and she knew he would stop at nothing to bring her below him.

Her virtue was the one thing she protected. No boy or man had seen her body. Touched her the way Dio had. Or tasted her lips.

No one would come close to her since she was good at scaring them away.

"Dio! Please put me down so I can put my clothes back on. Please!"

"No," was his short reply.

"I'll do anything. Just please let me put my clothes back on. Please!"

He stopped walking and turned his body in the direction of where her clothes were.

"Anything?" He asked.

"Nothing vulgar!" She snarled.

He snickered and put her back down on her feet. She quickly sat on the ground and lifted her knees in the air, legs straight, her feet placed on the ground to cover her lady parts.

"You're one evil man," she spat.

"I thought I was a boy to you."

She sighed deeply. "Please just get my clothes. And I'll do anything that's not repulsive."

"Deal." He smirked and strode to get her clothes. As he stood in front of her again he dropped her pants and shirt and she caught them.

"Turn around," she said.

He grunted and did as she said.

"No peeking!"

He mumbled something under his breath that she failed to hear.

After putting her clothes back on, she quickly glanced around and as she was about to make a run for it his glare was back on her.

"Don't you dare," he hissed in a deadly tone.

She sighed and just when it looked like she had given up, she sidestepped him and ran in the opposite direction. However, she didn't get far, due to one of his masculine arms fastening around her waist, drawing her backside against his chest.

"You really think I'd let you get away from me?" He whispered into her ear, his nose brushing against the back of her earlobe.

"What do you want Dio?" She asked, her heart pounding in her ears.

He turned her around so they were face to face.

"The question is will you do it?"

"I mean it, Dio! Nothing nasty!" She gritted out.

He chuckled and slid his tongue over the top of his white pearly teeth as his eyes took their precious time traveling across her face. "Kiss me."

She looked at him in complete shock. "What?"

"I want you to kiss me," he repeated, his heated gaze gradually sweeping over her lips. "Kiss. Me."

"No!"

Instantly his hand, held her cheek as his thumb gripped her chin. "You said you'd do anything and kissing isn't as vulgar as what I want to do to you. Now kiss me."

"I said no, you sick bastard!"

"Are you going to keep your word or what!?" he growled. His thumb moved up to her bottom lip and caressed it. "Raylin," he warned impatiently.

She glanced away from his face and with his grunts and groans, she knew he was getting more and more on edge. With a long defeated sigh, she quickly replied before she changed her mind.

"Fine!" She snapped back. "I'll do it."

She wanted to punch him again for being a bloody vigorous bastard. He didn't deserve to be her first kiss.

Without thinking, she quickly slapped her hand over his mouth and leaned in to smooch the back of her hand.

As she pulled back, she could feel his eyes stabbing her fervently.

"What was that?"

"A kiss," she simply replied.

"Don't tease me, Raylin!"

"Can't I just give you a kiss on the cheek?"

I don't want my first kiss to be with this forceful, insolent fool!

"No!" He seethed. "I want you to kiss me on my lips. We're not children anymore!"

Raylin drew a sharp breath knowing he was giving her no choice. With shaky fingers, she placed both her hands on each side of his strong jawline. His face was sculpted to perfection. Every single part of his facial feature was gorgeous but Raylin reminded herself that he was nothing but a snake. That his face was a disguise to hide the ugly inside.

Curse you!

She brushed her lips against his and quickly pulled back.

"Done!" She rasped and as she was about to turn and head back home he twirled her around once again, pressing her up against his strapping torso.

"You're getting on my nerves, love!" he groaned, breathing over her lips. "Kiss me properly. I don't want a peck. I want a proper kiss!"

"I've done what you asked for. You said a kiss, and that's what I did. Now, let me go!"

"That's not a kiss!" He growled.

She was taken aback by his aggressive demeanor. He was getting riled up over a stupid kiss? What was wrong with him?

"You said a kiss and I kissed you, Dio! What kind of kiss do you want!"

Her eyes suddenly widened as she slapped a hand over her mouth at what she'd just said. She knew him well enough to know he would show her what he wanted. She didn't want that. She hated him too much. However, his hate was different from hers since he wanted to do things to her that were more frightening than anything in her life.

"I know what you're thinking and don't you even dare," she whispered, pinching her lips together.

He peeled her hands off her mouth and pinned her hands behind her.

"Well, too bad." With that he leaned his head and claimed her mouth, his lips moving aggressively against hers with no mercy. He sucked and licked her lower lip, his tongue trying to get into her mouth. She groaned and tried pushing him away but his hold on her hardened as his eyes stared deeply into hers. "Kiss me back!" He murmured against her lips.

She shook her head, causing him to growl. He tried to slip his tongue again into her mouth and she knew it would anger him if she resisted. So she stood there like a robot, squeezing her lips shut, and not moving a muscle.

Finally, he pulled away and growled with disappointment. He shoved her back and took a step away from her, running a hand through his hair as his gaze shifted into the distance. "You miserable fool. No wonder no boy would get close to you."

"Shut up. You know nothing about me!" She fired back, throwing her hand at him again but this time he saw it coming. He gripped her fist into his large one and as he began to squeeze it, she leaned her head into his face, her lips inches from his, her disgruntled eyes never leaving his. "Let go of my hand Dio," she whispered against his mouth.

He glowered at her and reluctantly did what she said. It wasn't normal for Dio to listen to people but as he listened to her not just once but three times it made her insides quake. She tiptoed on her feet so they could be at eye level. "I hate you," she muttered as she clutched the back of his steely neck, pulling it down towards her, her other hand cupped his face then she took his mouth into hers.

He stood frozen when she started kissing him with her eyes closed. The hand on his face slipped behind his neck as she held him for dear life, afraid that if she let go she'd fall. She moved her lips just like he had when he'd kissed her but this time she didn't care if he kissed her back.

She took his bottom lip into her mouth and sucked on it. As he still didn't do anything she became curious. Slowly she opened her eyes and saw him just staring at her with an unreadable expression on his face. That look in his eyes was enough for her to stop and pull away but he didn't let her go.

Instead, he lifted and hoisted her into his arms. She yelped at the sudden movement and without thinking wrapped her legs around his waist. He held her closer to him, his eyes devouring her mouth, then he smashed his lips against hers.

...

A/N:

Hi everyone. Thank you for reading the first chapter for this story. I know it may sound like Dio and Raylin's relationship is escalating real quick, but I just wanted to assure you that it is not what it seems. You'll understand why in further chapters, and as for Raylin she is a women that enjoys her freedom and doesn't like to be tied to someone that wants to control her, especially a man. She is more stronger than you think. She may not show it, but she is. But please do tell me what you think of Raylin's character in this chapter. Also I'll consider if I should keep writing more for this story. But if you enjoyed this chapter please be a darling and leave an honest review. I get motivated to write more when people like what they read. No time for fake love.

Thank you and goodbye for now!
