Sarah was resting from her injuries, she no longer had biddies so she had to heal the old fashioned way. Raelle had healed her as much as she could but the older woman was still weak. She had pushed Tally out of the way from a camarilla dagger, it landed in her shoulder but that hadn't deterred the woman from windstriking the man to death.

When they had made it back to their hideout, Tally's hands were covered in her blood from trying to stop the bleeding. When she was mostly healed Tally wept while she helped her remove her clothes and get into the steaming hot bath. Tally helped wash the blood off her shoulder, a thin line where the dagger had landed causing Tally to choke out a sob.

"I'm so sorry, again, for being so weak," Tally had cried as she noticed the dried blood under her nails.

Sarah smiled and held her hands under the water while she methodically helped to clean the blood from them. Bringing the palm of her hand to her lips to lay a kiss thereafter they were cleaned.

"You have nothing to be sorry about, I saved you because I wanted to. It's not your fault. If it'll make you feel better I'll give you sparring lessons later."

Tally nodded because she couldn't stop the tears from falling, she helped Sarah from the tub and wrapped a towel around her, drying her off. Then let her dress herself in her pajamas. Then Tally brushed her hair, kissing a lock of it like she was paying respect to the goddess.

They ate in silence but then all Sarah wanted was to sleep, her shoulder was sore and the adrenaline had worn off long ago. Tally, the only thing keeping her awake this long. So when the lights turned out and Tally fit herself behind her, an arm wrapping around the older woman's waist Sarah squeezed her hand tight and simply stated, "When you love something, you protect it."

"Then let me protect you too," Tally cried into her neck but the older woman had already fallen asleep.

Tally snuggled close and fell asleep soon after.
