I was standing outside New Rome I couldn't stay at camp Khione she had snuck into camp and killed Annabeth she was trying to get to Piper but Annabeth got in her way and won but died. I just couldn't stay at Camp Half-Blood so I took a train to California my mom kicked me out she couldn't keep worrying about me every other week. While I traveled Lady Hera and Lady Hestia found me they just spent time with me for a month I couldn't get a train so I walked they visited me every night and talked Hera was nice and filled the hole that Sally created and Hestia wanted me to be her Champion when I got near to a train station I called Hera mom I thought she was going to blast me when she said I would like to be your mother I said can you do that she said I would need your permission and I gave it she adopted me and gave me a set of armor it was a in Roman style it had flames on both arms and on the chest plate was a trident crossed with a peacock feather then she handed me a shield it is a roman tower shield then Hestia handed me a spear the armor and shield were made of Olympian Steel the spear was made of Celestia Bronze they said they will see me when I get to New Rome I took the train and arrived in San Francisco 3 days later then I walked to New Rome I handed my weapon over to Terminus he said thank you Jackson most people I have to ask I said sir I know you won't let me in with them he said correct he said can you move that stone closer to that tree by 4 inch I said sure I did as he ask and went on my way. After the Giants war Reyna was made Consul of New Rome and given Partial Immortality, I had the same only because they wouldn't accept no for an answer on that but I got Hades and Hestia their throne back on Olympus the others except Annabeth were made gods. I walked in and found Reyna in her office I knocked on the door it opened and a legionary said you aren't wanted here Greek Scum I said you do not have the authority to kick me out so move he did Reyna said hello Percy I asked who is that she said James son of Hercules he wants me to be his girlfriend. She said enough about me what can I do for you I said I was wondering if rejoining the Legion is still an option she said yes but it will take time. I saw her window was open when I heard a bow being drawn back I brought out my shield as they fired my shield blocked the arrows they kept firing then 2 people stormed in with swords they tried to kill Reyna the archer had stop firing I summoned water from the vase on the desk. I used them to create a sword and fought them I also used some of the water also to create a frozen barrier over the window. These guys were horrible I had them beaten before they attacked me then some more people ran they arrested the attackers Reyna was wounded I went work keeping her alive and healing the wound she was stabbed in the gut she was still alive. The medics came in and took her to the Infirmary. Dakota said Gwen came in they said thank you I said I did what anyone would do they said are you sticking around I said yes. They said ok they said we have some temporary quarters for you they lead me to a room it had a bed and a desk. I put my bag down and had my armor turn back into a pendant I was still in the city so I didn't have my weapons it was late so was turning in for the night.
Pov Reyna
I woke up I was in the Infirmary I saw Gwen sitting next to my bed I asked what happen she said some people tried to kill you I asked so why am I not dead she said Percy defended you then she said I was wondering if you would be against having a Praetorian Guard. I said who could I trust to protect me she said well how about a certain son of Neptune you would be the safest person in New Rome. I said he would be a good choice but he wants to rejoin the Legion she said he just wants a purpose. I said ok I will accept then she said maybe you will he will fill the hole in your heart I looked at her she said what it is known I said know I just hope he can still love she said yes she said we will talk with him tomorrow. She said get some sleep you have had a long day.
Next day

I was heading to a café a block away from my quarters I had ordered a blueberry muffin and a coffee I was eating when Reyna, Gwen and Dakota walked and sate down I said what can I do for you Reyna said what if I said I had a job for you. I said what Gwen said this is the third attack on Reyna we would like for you to be her body guard they are called Praetorian Guard they are the only ones who are the only people who are allowed to carry weapons in the city you will get a house and will only take orders from us and Reyna. I asked what are your thoughts Reyna she said she would love for me to protect her I said ok I will do it. Reyna said ok we need to get you the uniform and the cape I asked is my armor suitable for the job they said yes I said doesn't the senate have to agree on this Reyna said no they just have to hear your oath I said ok when is the meeting Reyna said in 4 hours I said great. We went to a clothing store I got a blue tunic and cape there was a flash and a pair of armored pants and combat boots I got dressed then I summoned my armor my spear appeared in my right hand while my shield was on my left Riptide appeared in a sheath on my hip on the left side I felt I need some more range but we had to get to the Senate House I walked in then it erupted into chaos.
Pov Reyna
When the Senate erupted Percy yelled silence they all shut up Dakota said thank you as the result of multiple attempts to kill Consul Reyna we are assigning former Praetor Jackson one said why that Greek Scum why not James Gwen said we need someone who is an excellent fighter and will not take away from the Legion fighting power. They all agreed with that then Mars appeared he said do you Percy Jackson Swear on the River Stryx to protect Consul Reyna and to follow all lawful orders given by a superior I said I swear there was huge clash of thunder then a brand appeared in Mars hand and pressed it into Percy arm opposite of his legion mark the new mark was of a Scorpion behind a starry sky. Mars said may your service be long and filled with glory then left Percy took position behind he had the bottom of his shield on the ground with his spear in hand the Senators where steeling glances at Percy. The meeting ended Percy asked me where am I going next I said my home/office he got in front of me we walked to my office I said make sure no one disturbs me for 1 hour he said yes sir I went in he stood in front of my door.
Pov Percy
I was standing guard keeping alert for danger when James walked up and said move I said no he tried to push me out of the way but I would not move. I said Consul Reyna asked not to be disturbed Gwen walked and said I need to speak with Reyna I said she asked not be disturbed she said this is important I moved out of her way James tried to follow her I stopped him he said move I am a Centurion I said I don't take orders from you I answer only to three people and you are not one of them. Gwen came out and said James leave Percy alone or I will authorize him to use force he said yea right Gwen said do it I leaned my spear and shield against the wall and picked him up and threw him out the door. I returned to my position and collected my gear.
1 hour later
Reyna asked me to come in I walked she said I know there was a problem and you handled it I said you gave me an order she said once a day I want you to not let anyone in for 1 hour the remaining time I want you to be in here and you don't need to be in your armor with all of your weapons only during Senate meetings and for that one hour I said ok I willed my armor away and put my weapons away. She was working on paperwork when James came back he barged in I kicked the door right into his face knocking him back Reyna said that was smart. Then another Legionary walked in he said Reyna Lord Mercury will be here in 2 hours he wishes to see you she said I will be ready. Reyna said Percy can you go grab my armor and cape from my bed room I walked up and grabbed her armor her sword and cape and went down and handed her the gear she said the sword is not needed because I can not only you can at the moment. I said ok there was a flash and there was a package with my name on it I opened it I saw 12 silver throwing knives with a sheath that went on the small of my back. I put them on under my cape.
