It was the 4th of July. Nick was going out to watch the fireworks when he decided to invite Ellie to join him.
'Want to watch the fireworks with me?' He texted.
She texted him back with 'Sure'.
That evening
'Thank you for inviting me.' Ellie said.
'You're welcome!' Nick replied. 'Got you a sparkler.'
'Aw, thanks!'
'You enjoy watching the fireworks?'
'Yeah! Every year as a kid, I would get excited to go to the lake to watch them with my brothers. But the past couple of years, I've been too busy and interested to care about the fireworks.' Ellie said.
'Well, glad I could get you interested in the fireworks this year!'
3 minutes later
'I'm really liking where our relationship is at at the moment.' Nick said.
'I do too. 2 dates, we don't hate each other yet. Most times, guys I've dated only last 2 or 3 dates.' Ellie replied.
'Think it's too early for our first kiss?'
'I don't know, you want to find out?'
They kissed to find out.
'Whoa….' They both said.
Then they kissed again as the fireworks began to light up the night sky.
