Michonne slowly walked into the area outside of Beta's cell, pulled up a chair outside of it and sat down. Beta himself watched her from his cot, but did not move.

"I'm guessing," Michonne began, "that you don't like what is happening between us, anymore than I do."

Beta was silent but his eyes bored into hers. Michonne continued talking.

"I want you to tell me why I am suddenly connected to you— a homicidal maniac? Why?"

Beta leaned forward.

"I have no clue. Alpha is telling me to follow you. Though I hear her less the more I am near you." Beta admitted.

"Alpha…who's dead, is telling you to follow me?" Michonne asked, her tone skeptical.

"Yes."

"Why? I didn't even know her. I saw her like once."

Beta tilted his head.

"You don't understand." he said.

"No, I don't! Please enlighten me!"

"I shouldn't have to. You're the Alpha now." was his reply and he leaned his powerful body back against wall. Michonne stood up and walked to the bars.

"Why don't we start with something easier: how did you find those campsites? I have lived here for years and never saw them before."

"I found them." Beta replied.

Not much of an answer, Michonne thought.

"Those camps are from another time. Some of the cars we found were from the 70's and 80's. The supplies are fresh…you don't know anything about any of that?"

"I never asked any of the people that were trespassing, why they were there or what supplies they had." Beta told her. "And you are asking pointless questions. None of that matters."

"Tell me why? Why doesn't it matter?"

"You're the Alpha…" he began but Michonne interrupted him!

"No! No, I am not! Now I want you to tell me the REAL truth about why we are connected! I bit your face off and now I can command walkers! And now I can see things! I saw Maggie and you last night…here in this cell! Why? And don't tell me that 'Alpha' crap because I'm not buying it!"

But Beta was not surprised by her outburst. She lacked knowledge and understanding.

"You," he said, "have discovered the campsites and found supplies and death. You need to find the books."

Michonne tilted her head.

"The books? What books?"

"The books that predicted the end of the world as we know it. There are many of them. There are pictures. The first one is called 'Days Gone Bye'."

Michonne stared at him in silence for a moment before speaking again.

"You're telling me, that there are books at the campsites, that said that all of this would happen? Like in a series?"

Beta stood up and walked to the bars.

"Rick loves Andrea in them. You two are not together." he said.

Michonne could not help but gasp! She backed away from the bars a bit.

"How do you know Andrea? By the time the Governor attacked us at the prison, she was gone." Michonne said calmly. But Beta gave her a strange look.

"Do not read the fifth book. If you find it, leave it." Beta told her.

Michonne could sense something in Beta as he said that and looked at her. It felt like…like…sympathy?

"The first book is where?" Michonne asked, knowing she was crazy for even entertaining this crazy gibberish. But Beta had mentioned Andrea. His wife and daughter had been with the Governor. Back when they had all been at the prison. Now Morgan was headed back there to make a life there with a group of people.

"At the first camp site that began everything."

"That began everything? What does that mean?"

"It means that it is a place you have never been to. The road to it is called 'Miller Bend'. Go there and you will find the book in a row boat with one of the dead, in the middle of a lake." Beta said. He then turned away from her and walked back over to his cot. He sat down and stared at her and past her, almost as if he were looking through the walls.

Michonne turned away and left the room, hurrying outside and slamming the door behind her! Just the little amount of time she had spent with that man had taken a lot out of her and she did not know why!

But somehow, she felt she had learned something.

Michonne looked towards the supply garage. Negan had pulled the Dodge they had taken from Grace and Morgan, up next to the garage and Lydia, RJ, Judith and others, were unloading the supplies they had brought back, into storage.

Michonne then looked over at the other prison, where Dwight, Sherry and now Morgan, were being kept.

She then looked towards the stalls where the horses were housed. She needed to find this camp. The one she had never been to before and find this book. This book where in which Rick had loved Andrea and not her.

But she couldn't tell Negan, Judith and RJ that she was going back out to find a book that she did not know for sure really existed, at a camp none of them had ever been to before. She was thinking along those lines, when Darryl suddenly appeared before her.

"So?" Darryl asked. "What'd he have to say?"

Michonne said nothing and Darryl sensed something was more wrong than it already was.

"What?" he asked.

Michonne glanced over at the storage garage. Negan was ordering everyone to put certain things in certain places. She tore her eyes off of him and faced Darryl.

"He said there are books that tell about what is happening. He said that Rick is in them and that he loves Andrea and not me. How in the hell does he know about her?"

"He had to be at Woodbury. He's someone that got away. He knew Andrea from there." Darryl said.

Michonne shook her head.

"He said that there are 'books'. He warned me about reading one of them. I think something bad happens to me in them. I could tell he felt sorry for me!" Michonne said, trying not to sound as unsettled as she felt. Darryl put both hands on her shoulders.

"He's a crazy bastard, Michonne. That talk is gibberish. There is no damned book talking about us."

"He said there are pictures. I think he means they're graphic novels. He said the first one is called 'Days Gone Bye'. Beta said it's at a camp that we've never been to before and that the book is in a rowboat, in the middle of a lake with a walker in it. I just…he's just so specific about all of this…"

"You're not thinking of going there?" Darryl asked. But he knew the answer.

Michonne nodded.

"I have to. Don't you think it's strange how much everything seems to go back to the prison these days? Look, at the very least, we need to find out if there are supplies at this camp we can use. We still have to get all of the other things at the other sites we were at."

Darryl nodded as well.

"Okay but I'm going with you. Negan is nosy so…"

"I'll tell him that Beta told us of another campsite. I'll meet you at the truck." she said and walked towards the storage garage. Darryl's eyes followed her, before looking over at Maggie's house. She had come out and she now nodded to him. Darryl nodded back. He knew once he and Michonne left here, Maggie would begin her plan of seduction.

"We had ten cans of Dinty Moore beef stew and I only see nine!" Negan huffed.

"I'll check in the van again." Lydia said and Negan nodded as Michonne walked up to him. RJ and Judith were holding up packets of Kool-Aid.

"Can we try this, Mama?" Judith asked.

"That takes sugar, honey. We don't have any." Michonne said, not really wanting the kids to begin drinking something that would rot their teeth. Negan eyed her.

"We have plenty of sugar. Remember? We brought it out of that pantry?" Negan asked, now looking around Michonne and over at Darryl. He had started up his truck.

"Okay but Judith makes it and you two put it in a pitcher. Also drink it from those plastic cups we brought back, okay?" Michonne told the kids and Judith and RJ hurried off towards their house. Michonne looked around before speaking again.

"Beta told me there is another camp. One we haven't been to yet. I need to go there and see if there are more supplies."

"Is Darryl going with you?" Negan asked her.

"He offered."

"I'm sure he did. Look, I'll have Aaron take over the inventory here and come with the two of you."

"Negan, you need to watch over this! There's no telling who might take what, just out of greed. Now I'll be right back…" she began but Negan cut her off!

"What's really going on here? I thought you were going to ask Beta about what was going on with you? Instead he told you about another camp? I'm assuming none of us knew it was there before?" Negan asked suspiciously.

Michonne could not bring herself to tell Negan about the graphic novels. She just couldn't right now. She had to find out if they even existed first.

"He just kept saying I was 'Alpha' and then he mentioned the camp. I should get going."

Negan stared at her before looking over at Darryl, who was watching him from the driver's seat. He then looked at Michonne again. Negan decided that he would pretend to buy this horseshit, but the moment they left, he was going to question Beta himself!

"I don't like this. But you're doing what you have to do." Negan said, pulling Michonne to him for a quick kiss, before letting her go. He gave Darryl a triumphant look and stroked her arm.

"Just be careful." was all he said and Michonne nodded, smiling at him before turning and walking towards the truck. Negan did not take his eyes off of the two of them until that truck left the premises. He was about to turn and tell Lydia to take over the inventory when he ran smack into Maggie!

She was wearing a blue, v-neck shirt and was clearly braless. Her cleavage was in full view and her nipples were clearly in state of excitement.

"Well," Negan said, his eyes roaming over her, "if you're going to go and visit your boyfriend, wait in line. I need to talk to him about Michonne."

Maggie thought of Glenn and told herself this whole thing would be payback for his senseless murder. She reached out to touch Negan's arm.

"I need to talk to you. About Herschel and RJ."

That got Negan's attention.

"What about them?"

"Their friendship has been affected by our problems." Maggie said in a voice that she tried to make sound quasi friendly. This had to be done very carefully. She could not just appear in front of this piece of human garbage, sounding as if she had changed her mind about him overnight.

"You're the one with the problem, Maggie. I never had any problems with you."

"And I didn't have a right to have a problem with you?"

Negan sighed. Loudly.

"What have you told Herschel about what happened to his father? Seriously? I was just supposed to lay down and take what your group was doing to my group?"

"And we were supposed to just take being robbed of fifty percent of our supplies?" Maggie countered.

"We hadn't even gotten around to your people yet. You took it upon yourselves to ingratiate yourselves into my business. A price had to be paid. I don't get why you aren't pissed off at Dixon? He's the one that caused Glenn's death!"

Maggie felt nauseous. Sick to her stomach. But she swallowed her revulsion and answered him.

"You mean Darryl swung the bat, hey?"

"That is not what I meant and you know it! Look, our boys can't be friends. They'll live and move on to find other friends. Now if you will excuse me…"

Maggie suddenly grabbed the back of Negan's head and kissed him! Hard! She had to start familiarizing herself with his body anyway, if she was going to do this! Before he could kiss her back, Maggie pulled away from him and refrained from wiping her lips. She then smiled at him before turning and walking away slowly. And as she walked off, she whistled his his haunting tune.

Negan gaped after her! He then looked at Lydia, who stared at him in shock, before watching Maggie walk off. She then held up the can of beef stew that had been missing.

"What was that?" Lydia asked.

"Maggie kissed me even though she hates me." Negan said slowly, staring after Maggie.

"She wouldn't have kissed you if she still hated you." Lydia noted. But Negan now looked from Maggie to Lydia.

"You're young. And yes she would have. There was nothing but hate in that kiss." he said, trying to figure out what exactly was going on with Mrs. Beta now.

Darryl was not surprised that somehow Michonne knew how to get to this 'Miller's Bend', even though she'd never been there before. They turned down a dirt road and drove aways, before another camp appeared. One that looked like it was out of another time.

They both slowly got out and looked around. There was a small lake and out in the middle of it, was a walker in a row boat. Michonne swallowed and looked around. She saw another boat.

"I'm going out to that boat. See if there are any supplies…" she began but Darryl shook his head!

"I'm not letting you go out there alone! We'll both go, kill the walker out there, come back and look for supplies." Darryl told her. Michonne did not argue and they both walked over to the boat, pushed it into the water and jumped in. Darryl rowed towards the stranded walker and Michonne tried to quell her nerves. She was now hoping there was nothing in that boat but the walker.

They reached the boat and Michonne pulled out a knife, grabbed on to the walker's head and put a knife through it. Darryl peered into the boat and saw something lying on the floor of it. But from his vantage point, he could not see what it was.

Michonne pushed the walker into the water and climbed in. She saw was Darryl was looking at and reached down for it.

It was a graphic novel called 'The Walking Dead'. It said it was the first volume and the title was 'Days Gone Bye'. There didn't seem to be an author name or publisher and yet, the book was professionally bound and drawn.

Michonne thought the spelling of 'Bye' was fitting. She clutched it, climbed back into the boat she had been in with Darryl and held it up for him to see. He gave her a stunned look!

"That sonofabitch was telling the truth." he said quietly. He reached his hand out and Michonne handed him the book. Darryl stared at the cover.

"That's supposed to be Rick, Lorie and Carl." Darryl said. Michonne reached out for the book and Darryl reluctantly handed it to her. No good would come of this. No good would come from reading whatever this was supposed to be.

"Beta said there are other books here. We need to find them." Michonne said as she opened the book.

"I think you need to throw that thing in the lake. Let's look for supplies and then get out of here." Darryl advised her. But Michonne did not hear him. She stared at the first page and then held it up for him to see. She pointed at someone.

"This is Shane, right? He was Rick's partner?"

Darryl scoffed!

"Yeah but he didn't look like that! That guy in the book there is all chiseled and shit! And Rick…I mean it doesn't really look like him."

Michonne shrugged but did not comment. She saw that 'Rick' was shot and was now waking up in a hospital bed. Michonne read a few panels and then looked at Darryl. They had just arrived back at shore.

"I never knew Rick had been in the hospital. It looks as if he's alone here with the walkers."

Darryl snatched the book from her and looked at the next couple of pages!

"Fuck!"

"What?" Michonne asked.

"Rick was shot and put in a coma. He found out late what was going on. I think this is Morgan here…Jesus, who the hell drew all of this?" Darryl asked, now genuinely creeped out. Michonne slowly took the book from him.

"Let's look for more supplies and books." she said. Darryl looked up at the sky.

"It's afternoon. By the time we get everything together it will be getting dark. Maybe we should find a cabin to stay in tonight. We can head back tomorrow."

Michonne nodded but her attention was now on Rick, Morgan and Morgan's son, Duane. The loss of his son had almost destroyed Morgan's sanity. She began to read…

"Michonne? Michonne?"

Michonne looked up at Darryl.

"We need to find supplies. We'll look for more books later, okay? Just leave that so we can find what we need." he told her. Michonne nodded. She rested the book on the passenger side seat of the truck and pulled out her katana. She did not see the deep expression of worry on Darryl's face as they headed past a sign that read 'Camp Miller Lake' and towards a log cabin house of sorts. He didn't want to find any other books and he honestly, didn't care about finding supplies from this camp. This site had a different feel to it and he could not help but think that whoever wrote those books, was still here, someplace, watching them.

Meanwhile, back at Alexandria, Carol finished reading the letter Morgan had given to her. It was from a member of his group named John Dorie Sr.. He had arrested her husband Ed, more times than she could count, for beating her.

He had also been Sophia's real father.

Carol had come to a decision. When Morgan, Dwight and Sherry left here, she was going with them. To be with John Sr. again and…

And to begin her life over. Again.
