"The Phantom Thieves of Hearts?"

"Yeah, this calling card was posted around the art exhibit. It appeared the same day that Madarame began acting strange."

"Niijima, we have another case. First Suguru Kamoshida, now Ichiryusai Madarame? You're in charge of finding out whatever you can about these so called 'Phantom Thieves,' am I clear?"

"Yes, you can count on me. I'll see what I can do."

Sae Niijima was a career woman. After their father's death she was left to raise Makoto alone. Swamped with work and having to take care of her sister, she very rarely had time to herself. She hated it.

She hated knowing that her father was gone. She hated having to worry about Makoto. She hated the pressure from the courts to maintain a nearly perfect indiction rate. She hated the people that put all these expectations on her. Above all, she believed she hated the idea of justice.

It was their father's sense of justice that had led him to becoming a police officer. It was that sense of justice that got him killed. How valuable was it really? Who was the one that deserved justice? She couldn't answer that. Her role in falsifying cases in the courthouse led to a warped vision. A warped desire. She wanted to win no matter what.

She would resort to anything to win even if those methods were things she herself frowned upon. Fixing results, cheating, nothing was beneath her when it came to her cases. She would do whatever it takes.

So when the news of an untouchable group of "Phantom Thieves" showed up, she was frustrated. With absolutely no leads, there was no way she could form a case. It irritated her to no end to see the lack of any evidence of their existence, never mind their crimes. As it stood, the only thing they had recovered were the calling cards from the two victims.

She needed to do this. She had never failed a case. This one would not break that streak.

At the Niijima residence, Makoto Niijima sat at the dinner table, alone again. She couldn't remember the last time she ate with someone, never mind her own sister.

Whenever she was home, Sae was always either in and out or too busy with work to ever spend time with her sister. Although she was a third year in high school, Makoto couldn't help but feel depressed over the lack of attention she received from her own sister.

Despite her excellent grades and strict personality, on the inside rested a girl who just wanted company. She did what she could to fill that void. Aikido, movies, whatever else she could think of to keep her mind off of the severe loneliness she felt.

Sure, she got attention at school. Mainly scornful looks from people she had reprimanded for the sake of the school's reputation. As the student council president, she was under the watchful eye of the principal. She acted under his order due to his threatening of her letter of recommendation.

She thought back to what had happened before and after the Kamoshida incident. It happened not long after the transfer student, Ren Amamiya, had transferred to Shujin. Despite his criminal record, he seemed to be adjusting just fine. There was no indication that he was some violent, reckless student. In all honesty, he was one of the best students in the second year class. It was strange to her. What caused him to smear his record like that?

Regardless, she watched how he began to find his place within Shujin rather quickly. She had seen him around Ryuji Sakamoto and Ann Takamaki. She heard from some other students that those two had been the ones who helped him on his first day. They had helped him navigate the bustling streets as he was sure to be unfamiliar with the area.

Along with those two, Shiho Suzui, one of Ann's friends, had quickly gotten close to him. It wasn't surprising given her background with Ann. Those two were practically inseparable. To see her get along with someone Ann also seemed to get along with made perfect sense.

The most surprising pair were Kasumi and Sumire Yoshizawa. She had heard that Ren invited them to get ramen with his own friends. From then on, they were obviously on good terms. Although not to the extent as the others, they still seemed to spend a fair amount of time with the transfer student.

Despite their status as star athletes as well as being first years, they seemed to get along with their seniors well enough. It wasn't that often that students were friends across grades.

After finishing up her dinner, cleaning up, and preparing for bed, Makoto Niijima felt something on her face.

Another night alone in her own home. A single tear rolled down her cheek as she closed her eyes, sleep soon overtaking her.

"I'm telling you, there's something up with that kid that we saw at Shujin. He has something to do with both cases."

"I know, Rise. I've already told Naoto about my concerns. She agrees that there's definitely a connection between the two, but we still don't have enough evidence to actually question him. We don't even know how they're doing it yet."

A silver haired detective sat in his apartment. Although his work was based in Inaba, he still missed Tokyo sometimes. As such, Yu Narukami had been paying for an apartment even if he wasn't in for extended periods of time.

"You don't think they're using the TV world, right? There's no way they could, right? We purified that when we beat Izanami all those years ago. Even then, Teddie is still there and he hasn't said a word to us!" Rise Kujikawa paced the room. It was unlike her to be so nervous. Yet it had been so long since a case had stumped them so hard.

There was nothing that tied the Shujin students to the crime. The only thing they could consider was that they attended the school and that they were seen browsing the gallery of Madarame's exhibit. Even still, Chie and Yukiko had reported that they were friends with Madarame's pupil. It wasn't unreasonable for them to go to the exhibit when their friend was so closely associated with the one running it.

Even if they weren't, merely being there wasn't enough evidence. Yet something told Yu that there was a connection. Something about that black haired student was off. He just couldn't pinpoint what it was.

"Maybe they are. I can tell you know that whoever is being targeted is being targeted for a reason. Suguru Kamoshida had been abusing his students. Ichiryusai Madarame had been abusing his own pupils. These aren't acts of random terror. Whoever is doing it is a vigilante.

"Sounds a little like some people we used to know, huh?" Rise asked with a nostalgic smile.

"In a way, I guess. We weren't really vigilantes though, were we? We just wanted to help our friends. I guess it is true that we shouldn't have really been poking around the case, but the police couldn't do anything. Hell, one of their detectives had been the one behind it all. Maybe they're just sick of the inaction?"

"So what you're telling me is that you knew Madarame was doing all of this because you time traveled?" Yusuke asked with a confused expression. "I suppose after what we saw on that day, it is certainly not something I can rule out."

He had a point. The revelation of the metaverse and the idea of Personas was jarring. If all that existed, why couldn't time travel?

"It's not like I deliberately time traveled. I was heading home after my time here was up. I just… I turned to look out the window and everything around me changed. I was back in my hometown, but a year earlier. And now, here we are. I've done what I can but I know that tampering with time can bring a lot of consequences. Hell, I know I've already saved someone's life."

The Phantom Thieves looked at him with a curious look. "Saved a life? I know you said Shiho… jumped in your timeline, but she didn't die from it, right?" Ann asked.

"I only told you guys some surface level stuff. It was directly related to you so I thought you deserved to know. But to answer your question, yeah, Shiho lived. I remember when you-" Ren cut himself off. He had almost spilled that Ann had confessed to him on the rooftop of Shujin. With a heavy heart, he had turned her down. He was afraid of forming such a tight bond with one of his teammates. With how dangerous their work was, he was scared he might one day lose them.

"I remember when we were up on the rooftop of Shujin. We had met the day before Shiho would end up moving schools. There were too many memories tied to Shujin, so she had to leave." As he spoke, the atmosphere had shifted dramatically. The room was dead silent as Ren spoke.

"But, that doesn't matter anymore. It's all in my past. No, the person I'm talking about is Kasumi Yoshizawa. She died in a traffic accident a few months before I arrived at Shujin. Or at least, she would have if I hadn't gone into the metaverse to stop it from happening."

The Shujin students were in shock at the revelation. Kasumi was one of the greatest gymnasts that Shujin had seen. There was a reason she and her sister were their top representatives. To hear that she would have died was frankly tragic.

"What happened? How could going into the metaverse save her from a traffic accident?" Shiho asked.

"Sumire. I changed her heart. Her feelings of jealousy and inferiority towards her sister had manifested itself in the shape of a shadow. It was the first thing I dealt with when I finally got to work," Ren answered.

"But how could Sumire have caused her death? You said it was a traffic accident."

"Kasumi had run to save her sister. She threw herself in front of the vehicle that would have hit Sumire. She had run off after her jealousy peaked. If she hadn't been saved by Kasumi, it would've just been her that died. There was no way to save one or the other. Not without the metaverse. It's interesting, really. Never did I see a Persona user with a shadow. But her shadow seemed to understand what I was saying. She had to accept the truth. That she was herself. That even if she wasn't as good as her sister, every part of her that she may not have shown was still her."

Although none of them knew nor understood it, the idea of a Persona user having a shadow made perfect sense. After all, the Investigation Team from Inaba had all already faced their own shadows. Everyone minus their own leader had to accept themselves. Only then did they manifest their Persona.

"There's still more work to do though. Our next target is a man named Junya Kaneshiro. He's a gang leader in Shibuya. Extortion, drug trafficking, racketeering, all of that. We got involved after our next teammate had confronted him."

"Oo, who's our next teammate?" Ann asked.

"It's someone that us at Shujin know very well," Ren told her. "Our very own Miss President, Makoto Niijima."

"For real?" Ryuji asked, the most surprised out of the group. "She's our teammate? Man I'm never gonna hear the end of it, am I?"

"No, you aren't. And for the record, it was your fault that she had found out that we were the Phantom Thieves in the first place," Ren laughed.

"Wait, what? How?"

"Let's just say you were a little vocal about the whole thing. She suspected us for a while since everything started changing after I first arrived. She called me in for a meeting and in the middle of it, you called and asked something like 'when's the next Phantom Thief meeting?'" Ren shook his head, smiling and holding back his laughter as he recalled the absurdity of how poorly timed the call was.

"Yeah that sounds like something I'd probably do," Ryuji said with a shrug. Both Ann and Shiho couldn't help but giggle at how blunt the two were. It was entirely in character for Ryuji to be the one to ask something like that.

"I've already told you guys this before but we can't let the attention get to us. That's what messed everything up the first time around. I know none of you know what I'm talking about but trust me, you don't want to see how the world would be. What we're doing is changing the future. There'll be things that even I'm not prepared for, but at the very least, I'd like to try and keep some things as close to the original time as possible."

Days went by as the Phantom Thieves waited for the inevitable change of heart. It didn't take long for Madarame to recover and sure enough, one interview later and Madarame's career as an artist was over.

It was around this time that Principal Kobayakawa also became suspicious of the identity of the Phantom Thieves. This also meant that Makoto would be on their case soon. Makoto's reluctance to turn the Phantom Thieves stemmed from her own personal beliefs in their justice. Although she didn't let it get to her often, the loss of her father had hurt her greatly. Coupled along with Sae's reluctance to spend time with her, Makoto needed an out. She needed something to believe in. That something would manifest itself in her belief for the Phantom Thieves.

It was clear that what they were doing was just. How could you argue that forcing a predator such as Kamoshida to confess his crimes was unjust? Although she hadn't understood their methods, no one was hurt from what they had done. She understood that if anything, they were saving people. Confronting an abuser was hard. Forcing the abuser to bear all the responsibilities for their crimes was a prime example of justice.

Their plan was set into motion one day after classes had ended.

"Um, excuse me, President Niijima?" Ren poked his head into the student council office. Inside was the one person he was looking for.

"Yes? Ren, what brings you here?" She asked. Up until now, they had rarely exchanged words. Other than an occasional "good morning" whenever they happened to cross paths on their way to school, Makoto had only ever talked to him when she had warned them of their time on the rooftop. She honestly thought he held something against her ever since that day, yet he proved her wrong time and time again whenever he greeted her in the mornings. Now, here he was looking for her.

"I know it's a bit sudden but do you think you could meet on the rooftop in a bit? I want to talk about something but we need some privacy," Ren asked.

Makoto was confused. Why was her heart pounding? There was no deeper meaning to his words, right? He just wanted to talk. But to meet on the rooftop? Why did he need so much privacy that he couldn't just ask her in the Student Council room? Certainly he could just confess to her here, right?

Her mind raced as she imagined all sorts of ways that the supposed delinquent exchange student could confess to her. She felt her face begin to flush as her imagination continued to run wild.

"Y-yes, I'll be up in a few minutes. Please let me finish up some stuff here before I come up, okay?" Makoto told him as she tried to hide her face with whatever she could.

Confused at her flushed expression, Ren left the room with a quick nod, leaving the Student Council President to herself. The implication of his words soon dawned on him and he laughed to himself at Makoto's embarrassment.

As she arrived on the rooftop, Makoto hadn't expected to see the others that were present. Ryuji, Ann, Shiho, and Ren had been waiting for her to arrive. They had set up a few chairs with whatever was left on the roof and motioned for her to sit.

"I know I'm your top suspect for Principal Kobayakawa's request," Ren stated flat out.

Makoto's eyes widened as her confusion reached its peak. How did he know that the principal had asked her to investigate the Phantom Thieves? She knew he was perceptive, but this was something beyond that. The only way he could have known was by eavesdropping, but even then, it would have been far too difficult to eavesdrop on the principal in the middle of the day.

"What are you-" she began before being cut off.

"I'll explain everything under one condition," Ren told her. His eyes met Makoto's and she realized the gravity of the situation. "What I say stays on this roof. No one else is to hear about it unless I give the go ahead. Can I ask you to respect those wishes?"

Makoto sighed as she began to realize just what she was getting herself into. She shook her head before looking towards Ren. "I don't know why I'm accepting this, but you have my word. Nothing on this roof leaves without your permission."

"Thank you, really. It means a lot. Your hunch is correct. We are the ones that sent the calling cards to both Kamoshida and Madarame. It isn't much compared to how much corruption there is in the rest of the world for the people that they've affected, I'm sure it meant the world to them. We have three people here who already understand that."

With their permission, Ren explained how Kamoshida had affected the lives of his teammates. Makoto sat in shock hearing just how bad his abuse had gone. She had always known that Kamoshida was given more liberties than other teachers. However, she hadn't expected it to run this deep. Her heart was heavy with the guilt of her role in complacency. She hadn't done anything out of fear for her own self interests.

"As you have probably already figured out, there's a situation going on in Shibuya. Students at Shujin are also getting involved in it. As Student Council President, I'm sure you know about the mafia that's been working in Shibuya. They approach people and ask if they want to make some quick money. To the victim, it's nothing but a quick paycheck. To the rest of the world, it's drug trafficking."

"Yes, I've been approached by some of the students about it. So far no one has been able to get the police on the case. There's not enough evidence. What are you getting at?" Makoto crossed her arms as her interest was piqued.

"We're going to be the ones to stop them. I understand that as the Student Council President, you might want to do something to help our classmates."

"And how do you suppose we stop some mafia that not even the police are capable of catching?"

"We aren't necessarily making them stop. We're just gonna make the one in charge turn himself in to the police. I'm sure you've done your homework already. He'll go through a change of heart just like Kamoshida and Madarame have."

"Yes, I understand that term from what was written in the calling cards. Even so, how did you manage to do that? Blackmail? Threats? What could have possibly made those two confess their crimes?" She asked.

Ren sighed. This was where things got complicated. "There's something that we call the metaverse. It's the world that exists because of all of us. Our thoughts, desires, hopes, and everything make up the state of the metaverse. We go in there, steal someone's desires, and it triggers a change of heart."

"Are you making fun of me?" Makoto scoffed. Her demeanor had made a complete 180. "Just how do you expect me to believe that there's this other world out there? You can steal their desires? How does that make sense?"

"I know, it sounds ridiculous but please trust me. I need to know whether you're in or out," Ren asked her.

"Well of course I'll do anything to stop our classmates from being exploited. I have to do something for them."

"If that's the case then can you meet us somewhere? I'll text you the address so I need your phone number."

"Quite the smooth talker, are we?" Makoto asked, raising an eyebrow. "Here, give me the phone and I'll do it for you. We could just go together right now you know."

Ren paused at her words. Why hadn't he thought of that? It was after school. Although Makoto took her studies very seriously, he knew how she was when it came to the idea of justice. If she could do something to help the students of Shujin, she was going to put everything she had toward it. She was just that kind of girl.

"You sure you aren't the smooth talker?" He asked as he looked her in the eyes.

"Oh shut up," Makoto said as her cheeks began to redden.

The group got up to leave, yet as they approached the door, it opened, revealing two people Ren wasn't ready to confront just yet.

"We apologize for eavesdropping, but as your friends we can't just sit by while you all go off doing these dangerous things," Kasumi stated as she crossed her arms. "A mafia boss? Really? And you were the ones that went after Kamoshida and a famous artist? What if you get caught?"

"We won't, I-" Ren was quickly cut off by his junior. It was somewhat jarring to be cut off by the older Yoshizawa twin. Although Sumire had done an amazing job at practically being Kasumi, it was clear that her meek behavior couldn't completely imitate how commanding Kasumi could be when she wanted to.

"How do you know you won't? There's so much that could go wrong when you go after these people. You even acknowledge that they're going after Shujin students. What happens if they target you?"

Ren sighed for what felt like the hundredth time that day. "That's the plan, actually. I'll explain everything, okay? Please just don't tell anyone what we're doing."

"Oh you most definitely will explain everything," Kasumi continued. "Is that what happened a few days ago when you guys left the station? You all disappeared into thin air."

Ren cursed himself. He knew that Madarame's art studio was incredibly out in the open. Even so, he had checked his surroundings as they walked to Yusuke's house. There was no reason for anyone to be paying close attention to them. Not unless they knew them.

"Come on, we're going to LeBlanc. I'll explain everything once we're there."

As the group arrived in the back streets of Yongen-Jaya, Makoto looked around, observing the quiet yet busy alleyways. She followed them as they turned into another alley. She read the sign on the building. "Café LeBlanc."

However, as she entered, her heart stopped.

"Sis?"

Sae turned to see her sister along the group of students that had entered the cafe. It was something that neither sister was ready to see.

"Friends of yours?" Sae asked as they all walked in.

"I had a few questions for them regarding something the student council is dealing with," Makoto told her.

"Geez kid, another one?" Sojiro asked with a laugh. While he had seen the other Shujin students in his cafe, Sojiro had not yet seen Makoto among them.

It was clear that their talk had to wait. Even with the TV on, Ren didn't want to risk Sae of all people finding out their identities. He knew how she was before her role in his interrogation. Unlike their other targets, Sae hadn't actually undergone the typical change of heart. While they had defeated Shadow Sae, they never got out with her treasure. Instead, she had changed over the course of the investigation.

"Sorry, we wanted to help her with her student council stuff so I suggested we come here since we normally do. Sorry for not giving you a heads up," Ren scratched his head as he gave Sojiro an apologetic look.

"Well it's no big deal. I'm just glad you seem to be getting along with the right crowd," the man said. Sojiro's changes had been positive for the most part. Ren recalled the man's cold demeanor. It had taken him a while before Sojiro opened up to him before, yet he seemed a lot more comfortable around him now.

They talked for a while. Ren had donned his apron and offered to make them coffee on his tab. While the students all sat around, joking, laughing, and just having a good time, Makoto realized just what it felt like to have actual friends.

Although she participated in the conversation, she also intently observed how they all seemed to mesh together. It didn't matter if you were different. They all got along so well. For the first time in a while, she actually found herself smiling.

Her heart skipped a beat when she stole a glance towards her sister. Sae also had a bit of a warm smile as she watched her little sister being herself. Although she didn't know the students personally, it was nice to see Makoto enjoying herself with kids her age.

Eventually, the time had come for Sae to leave. "I should come here more often, huh?" She asked Sojiro. "I do enjoy this little pocket of Tokyo. It's nice to be around. Thank you for the coffee. I'll see you at home Makoto, I've got some assignments coming up so I'm gonna head back and get some sleep before work."

Ren was surprised. He hadn't foreseen this change in Sae's behavior. As much as he understood, Sae and Makoto had a falling out a little before she had become a Phantom Thief. To see the two getting along was a pleasant surprise. Although they weren't quite friends yet, Ren was happy for Makoto.

"Alright, we're gonna head up now," Ren told Sojiro. With Sae out, he knew they could speak uninterrupted.

"Well, you kids let me know when you get hungry, okay? Ren, you're gonna help me cook when they need food, alright? I'm sure your friends would also appreciate your cooking."

Ren nodded and led the group upstairs. Makoto looked around and was surprised at how clean and neat the room was. It seemed her first impression of the boy had been off. She had just thought of him as yet another delinquent, yet when she looked closer, it was clear he was diligent.

"It's cozy in here, right? Something about his room just makes you feel so at home," Sumire smiled as she looked towards Makoto. She had to agree. There was something she couldn't quite grasp that made her feel welcomed. It felt nostalgic, though she knew she obviously had never been in the room before.

"So, I'll cut right to the chase," Ren sighed. "As I told Makoto already, we are the Phantom Thieves. I know you guys overheard us, but there's some things I think you deserve to know. It relates directly to you after all." Ren took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. He knew this could get messy.

They all sat around as Ren prepared to speak. Ann and Shiho had taken the bed accompanied by Morgana, Kasumi and Sumire had taken the sofa, Ryuji stood beside the window, Ren grabbed his workbench stool, and Makoto was given a separate chair.

"You three aren't going to believe me when I say this but I can prove everything," Ren explained his situation. He told them how he had come back in time after experiencing everything that happened in his original time."After I got here, I knew I had to do something. I was given an opportunity and I had to take it."

He looked to Kasumi and Sumire who looked on intently. "One of you wasn't here in my original time," he told them. The atmosphere in the room grew cold. "Sumire, do you recall how you felt in the months prior to school starting?" He asked as he looked at the redhead.

She was confused. What did her feelings have to do with any of this?

"You envied Kasumi. You were afraid you were falling behind," Ren stated. Sumire's blood ran cold as his words reached her ears. It was true. She knew it was true. "You were jealous that she was more athletic than you. You were afraid that she would leave you behind and were upset at her behavior. You didn't think she actually loved you."

Sumire felt her heart stop as he talked. It was all true. She didn't deny those feelings. She had felt all of that once before.

"But you were able to get past that. You didn't have a change of heart like Kamoshida or Madarame. You found it within yourself to finally realize that you didn't have to be Kasumi. You just needed a little push to realize that."

Sumire felt tears begin to well in her eyes as she recalled her feelings. They had felt like so long ago. She wanted to bury them forever.

"The first change I made to our world as a Phantom Thief was to save both Kasumi and Sumire. Kasumi's life was saved while Sumire was saved from herself. I'll spare you the details. No one needs to know anything else about how it went down in my own time. I just couldn't bear to see you broken again, Sumire. It happened once already. I wasn't going to let it happen again." He turned to Makoto.

"Makoto, I know that your relationship with your sister is strained. You once told me about your father. You told me about your dreams to succeed him. To honor his legacy by becoming a police commissioner. You could repair your relationship with your sister by turning us in. Her next assignment is to uncover the truth behind the Phantom Thieves. Yet you became one yourself. You believed in our justice. Together, we all took down Junya Kaneshiro, the man behind the mafia that plagued Shibuya. And you know what? We'll do it all again. All of us. You don't have to join us, but I already know your answer."

He turned back to the Yoshizawa twins.

"As for you two, I understand your reluctance to support the Phantom Thieves. You believe that people should learn to find the solutions themselves, but there are people in the world who don't want to do that. You're worried that the world would become reliant on the Phantom Thieves to change them. You were right the first time around. But this time will be different. Sumire, I already know you're more than capable of becoming a Phantom Thief. You did it once already. Kasumi, although I didn't know you, if I've learned anything since meeting you, you should also have the same capability.l

"So I ask you three: will you join us?"

"Well, as you said, you already know my answer," Makoto said as she looked Ren in the eyes. "I'll do whatever I can.

"You've already helped me change the way I am. If you can do that, you've already proven that people can't always rely on you to change them. I'll join as well. I want to repay the kindness you've shown both Kasumi and I."

"I can't let Sumire do it alone. I don't know what I'd do with myself if anything happened to her when you offered for me to join as well."

It was a sight to behold. The Phantom Thieves of Hearts had already gotten two more members than they had originally. It didn't matter just yet whether or not their awakenings had happened. There were still plenty of things they could do to help out even if they didn't have a Persona.

Their next assignment actually didn't need a Persona in the first place. Their operation to stop Kaneshiro's growing influence over Shibuya was underway. It didn't take long for them to confront him. Ren and Makoto had gone out alone. He knew Makoto was actually a skilled fighter in the real world. He knew she could hold her own for a while if things got ugly when they confronted Kaneshiro.

In order to access his palace, the group needed to make contact with Kaneshiro. Previously, they had gotten into the metaverse, yet they had no way of reaching his treasure. It wasn't until Makoto had gone after him that they were allowed in. Ren was trying to replicate this setup once more. Thankfully, the drug trade in Shibuya meant that Kaneshiro's thugs already littered the place. It didn't take long for them to be approached by one of them and for them to be in a car en route to the man they were after.

Kaneshiro was no different than the man that Ren had encountered the first time around. When they arrived, it was clear that Kaneshiro wasn't in a good mood. His annoyance stemmed from the attitude that he had gotten from Makoto as soon as they had arrived. Before they could actually do anything though, Kaneshiro had snapped a picture. Everything was going according to plan.

With that picture taken, both Ren and Makoto were now clients at Kaneshiro's bank. Within the metaverse, they now had access. Even though the rest of the Phantom Thieves had shown up, they would still have access due to Kaneshiro's threats. He claimed he would target their loved ones. Friends, family, anyone that they cared about would be targeted. The first step to dismantling Kaneshiro's criminal network had been completed.

As they were kicked out, Ren and Makoto looked to each other and couldn't help but grin. It felt amazing to see a plan go perfectly. They couldn't ask for anything more. For now, they had work to do.

Kaneshiro could have never seen it coming.

I'm kind of on a roll right now with these updates. Surprising, huh?
