Carrie (2013)/The VVitch Crossover Prompt 1
After the horrendous events of the Black Prom Massacre, Carrie White manages to escape Chamberlain and is forced to go on the run. Many weeks pass and the telekinetic finds herself torn between feeling guilty for being responsible for the deaths of so many innocent people and feeling satisfaction over eliminating most of her tormentors. Night after night she prays to God for forgiveness, but as time goes on, Carrie gets the feeling that God has abandoned her for her sinful acts at the prom.
One night while sleeping in her abandoned shed, the girl dreams of being visited by a man shrouded in darkness who asks in a deep voice if she would like to 'live deliciously', tempting her with a more satisfying life rather than one under a God who abandoned her. Immediately terrified, Carrie wakes up covered in sweat and feeling unnaturally cold. While relieved to have escaped the dark man for the moment, she was ashamed that some part of her was enticed by his offer.
Before falling back to sleep, Carrie thought she could her the faint sound of a woman cackling in the far distance .
