Carrie (2013)/The Peanuts Crossover Prompt 1
A seven year-old Carrie White walked through one of the parks of Chamberlain,Maine, having run away after nearly beaten yet again by her abusive mother, Margaret. Her life so far had been nothing but constant pain and misery. Almost all the other kids in town bullied her non-stop. There were a few kids who didn't, but they never spoke to her much. The only other kid who came close to being as miserable as her was a boy named Charlie Brown, her neighbor. He was made fun of and called names, mostly blockhead, and the one who'd harass him the most was a girl named Lucy van Pelt.
Sure she wasn't as bad as Chris Hargensen, but she could still be pretty nasty. Carrie looked out into one of the fields and saw that Lucy had once again convinced Charlie that she'd hold the football and allow him to kick it. She felt immensely sorry for him, but was afraid to confront Lucy for her treatment of the boy. All she could do was watch as the Pelt girl yanked the ball away again, causing Charlie to fly through the air.
"AAAAGH!" he cried and Carrie shut her eyes and winced as he hit the ground. It was then that Carrie saw Lucy had noticed her and quickly walked back the way she came, not wishing to confront the dark haired girl. Oh how she wished she had the courage to stand up for Charlie Brown.
